"Mum I won't wait for you if you should late because I don't want to miss any ritual that would be done for Mojey", said Lian,rushing to the door.

"You just like to attend this annual Mojey celebration to the extent that you don't want to wait for your mom", replied Suk,mocking her daughter.

"Okay dress quickly", replied Lian and she then calmed down.

They both stepped out for their journey. As they were by the road they waved to a taxi and board it.

"Sir,I think you have been to Mojey celebration venue?", Lian asked the taxi driver.

"Not at all but I would like to attend that celebration", said the driver.

"Just drive fast", said Lian.

^^^"Lian you better calm down maybe the celebration has not even started why are you in haste?", warned Suk.^^^

"Mum I think Jane was sacrificed for her the gods last year,I will make sure I witness the person that will be sacrificed for the gods this very year", said Lian amidst of haste.

"Why are these gods requesting for human blood annually?", asked Lian ignorantly. "Can't they even request for animal's?", Lian continued.

"Hmmm", Suk sighed and continued "the gods are requesting for human blood because of the huge thing our foremost fathers requested from them.

"What did our stupid foremost fathers request that makes these gods request for human blood per annum?", boasted Lian.

"Don't say they were stupid because if they have not done this you won't be able to watch the celebration that is going to take place now", said Suk jokingly.

"I am never pleased with how blood is annually wasted by the shrine is just that I like something like that,if only the human blood shed can be excluded it would be the best celebration evet!!", said Lian.

"Mom,what did our foremost fathers even collect from the gods?", asked Lian.

Before Suk her mother could replied the car was already by their destination so,they alighted to watch the celebration.

All the priests from around the country are on present.

"Who is do you want as your food for this year?", asked one of the priest called Sao.

Only the priest that asks question hears answers.

"The gods has spoken", said the priest.

All the people were eager to know who gods have chosen eventually Sao,the priest who that asked gods question concerning the sacrifice talked.

"The gods said they want Lian a girl from Hars family", said the priest.

"Who is that among you before the gods bring her out by their selves?", asked Soa in broad and wide voice that gave tension.

According to the tradition No one should run from gods if gods ask for him/her and if anybody should do so he/she will he struck by thunder on his/her way while absconding.

Suk and Lian heard this and was confused because the chosen was Lian and Lian dare not abscond if she doesn't want to be struck by thunder.

"Before the count of 10 the chosen should show herself if she not here maybe she should be called", said Soa,the priest.

Lian cried aloud bitterly and shouted"gods why me!!!!!".

Suk did not even believe what she heard,she was just looking around as everyone was looking around to know who Lian is.

"1", counted the priest

Lian stepped forward to moved but she was withdrawn by her mother.

"Are you going", said Suk.

"Mother let me go to satisfy gods", said Lian amidst of tears,gush forth from her eyes.

"2", the counting continued by Soa,laughing sarcastically.

Suk could not leave her child's hand until her child withdrawn her hand by herself and ran towards the shrine amidst of the crowd.

As mother Suk followed her child,ran at high speed to withdraw her child but as a strong child her speed was more than Suk's.

"3", counted the priest.

The kings and the government are also present at the shrine laughing and rejoicing because their child was not requested by Mojeys.

Suk did not remember to call her husband before but all of a sudden she took her phone and called her husband amidst of spees.

"4", counted Soa,the priest.

"Hello Hars,something bad has just happen that seem to be affecting our family greatly?", lamented Suk.

"Stop it how is the Mojeys celebration?", asked Hars and considered his wife lamentation as joke.

"I am about to tell you about that celebration, Mojeys has........", Suk was saying this and was cut by Hars.

"What has really happened talk to me?", asked Hars in haste.

"My child was requested", said Suk.

"Our child or your only child that you gave birth to for another man while not home", asked Hars and was still considering her child lamentation as joke.

"I mean our child Lian", confirmed Suk.

"Huh", Hars was dumbfounded and eventually said I will be home in a jiffy.

Suk cut phone and realized that the priest has counted 6.

Lian was almost gotten to the priest before and was withdrawn by a merciful man he looked at her face and placed her down.

Lian continued going till she reached the priest after the count of 9.

Lian sped to the shrine and tried to plead the priest but priest asked her that," have you ever seen us releasing any chosen person by Mojeys?".

"I have never but please do this for me and I will be grateful", pleaded Suk. shortly military appeared and cleared Suk off fromm the shrine.

She was put at the backside and she wasn't able to watch how her daughter would be slaughter to the stupid gods as her child has just said in the car.

She ran hom,fell on her face asking herself for her reason in the wicked country that chooses who to kill annually.

Sooner, car sped in to their houses she couldn't lift her face up until her husband alighted from the car,entered the house and he met his wife shedding tear in millions.

"Why", shouted Hars

"My child must not die", continued Hars

All steps that Hars took was to no avail,he went to the head of priests and in order to ask him some questions.

"Good day sir!", Hars greeted as he was about to enter priest's house.

"Good day my son,how are you?", the priest replied to Hars,looking at him ignorantly.

"I learnt that my child was requested by your gods,my only child", said Hars.

"They are not my gods but our gods", Soa,the priests' head corrected Hars.

"Please that don't consider them as my gods if they should be my gods they shouldn't request for my only child", said Hars angrily.

The priest laughed and said:Even if they should request for you they ate still your gods.

"That means you are even heartless, you're giving are child to stupid gods that cannot talk,I know that one day I will behead your scriptural gods", said Hars.

"gods asked for your child,just one child and you are here shouting, do you know what gods have given you?!!", said the priest and he stood up angrily and turn his back to Hars.

Everything was silent that a bird voice was not even heard.

Later the silence was broken by the priest.

"If you have anything else to say,do buy if not........", Soa said this and hissed as if he was disappointed.

"Why are those gods requesting for human blood annually since all these years?", Hars asked politely.

"Hmmmmm, when there was flood that nearly destroyed every things in our country, those gods were called by our foremost fathers.

"Flood?", asked Hars in amazement.

"Yeah a great flood that comes thrice a days,it always wipe always our belongings", replied Soa.

"When our fathers were unable to do anything they cried to the gods and gods listened to them,gods promised our father that there woluf be stoppage if the flood and it was so", said Soa and laugh.

"But gods gave not asked for human blood in all what you have stated", said Hars.

"Listen my son after three days that they couldn't see any flood from anywhere they went to the gods to thank them thinking it was free", said Soa jokingly.

"So,it was later not free?", asked Hars.

"Yes", Soa replied in affirmative.

"Wonderful", said Hars out of amazement.

"When they have thanked gods they went home to continued jubilation but all of a sudden they noticed that someone was missing among them", continued Soa. "They did not worry to much they quickly ran to Mojeys so that Mojeys can tell them how their brother got lost", Soa narrated further.

"Did Mojeys tell them", Hars asked in haste.

"Yeah my son,when they reached Mojeys they urge them to tell them how their brother was lost,Mojeys told them that they have devoured their brother", said Soa.

Upon saying this Soa laughed sarcastically and upon hearing this Hars moved back a little in shock.

"Why would you devour our brother was the question asked by our fathers", continued Soa.

"What was the gods reason?", asked Hars in haste.

"They told our fathers that they do not give for free except to have something in exchanged", said Soa.

As Hars checked the time it was 5pm to 6 already so he was in haste but he wished he could listen to everything that caused such killings.

"Sir! can I come back tomorrow?", Hars asked Soa,the head of priest.

"You can my son but come by 1pm", Soa replied.

"Okay sir!", Hars saluted. and left Soa.

He got to his car and sped home.
