" Jenna! Come check this out ! Quick !! "

" I'm coming !" Jenna shouted back at her friend as she ran to the school hall.

  There, on the wall, is a big notice board with exam grades pin to it. It was on the wall since an hour ago, everybody was crowding there an hour ago, so Jenna and her friend, Sue, didn't get a chance to see their grades.

" Did Sue got rank 1 ! WOW ! I thought Jenna would ..."  went the group of students passing by Sue who is standing in front of the notice board.

 " This year determine which college you will go to, I heard that only one student can get full scholarship to study in Harvard university. " went another.

" Yeah, the principal announced last month that only the one who get rank 1 will get the scholarship.. "

" Congrats!! Sue you got rank 1! " exclaimed Jenna.

" I can't believe this! yay! "

That evening

" Hey Jenna ! Wanna go home together?" asked Sue

" I'll go later, you go ahead. "

 After Sue left the school, Jenna walked back inside the school. She walked towards the school hall, as she came across the notice board, she stopped and stared at it intensely. Below Sue's name, there stood hers. Jenna gritted her teeth as she faced down looking at the floor. Her eyes started to tear up.

" It's fine right? It's my friend who passed after all." She told herself quietly.

After a few minutes of standing, Jenna wiped her tears and walked away. Her chauffeur was waiting for her near the school's gate, when Jenna saw the car waiting for her, she signaled the chauffeur to go. The chauffeur didn't understand, since he just got the job a week ago.

 She was annoyed and decided to text him instead.

" I'll walk home myself today, Thanks for picking me up " read the message she sent.

Jenna walked to a nearby park, the sun was about to set, it looked very beautiful. Jenna knew that she had lost her chance of entering her dream university with a full scholarship, this life opportunity is very important to her. She had been working hard for the past 4 years to enter her dream university, Jenna had wanted to live independently after graduation, so she made an agreement with her family 4 years ago that she will get a full scholarship to study in her dream university, and her parents only need to sent money to her every month for her apartment and food expenses.

She thought her life would go as she wanted, she thought it would go smoothly.

Ting !  A notification appeared on Jenna's phone.

" Jenna, when are you coming home ?" read a text from her housekeeper.

" I should get going, what an exhausting day.."

Everyone have at least a dream, but everyone was just a child back then, who knew nothing about what they had to face in reality, and of course it's failing. BUT failing once doesn't mean it's not possible to start over.

Jenna's parents owned a very large company, they were always busy, her parents had never have time to spend with Jenna, but when they do they mostly fight during their time together. Back then, Jenna only had Sue, Sue was always with her since kindergarten.

The next day, the day after the Exam results had been released

" Hey, Jenna, today is the last day of special class, you wanna skip school ? "

" Sure.... "

As a model student, Jenna never skipped school, she and Sue had been known as the 'always perfect student'. Usually, if someone ask her to skip school, she'll report them to the principal. Since, today is the last day and Jenna knew she would be very unhappy if she meets Sue, Jenna decide to skip school and hang out with 3 of her classmate, who were also good friends of hers, but they weren't as close to her as Sue.

**DINNNNGGG !  ( went the bell ) **

" Jenna Lee " said the teacher, " it's very odd of Jenna to be absent ."

" Sue, where is Jenna? " whispered one of the girl sitting behind Sue.

" I am not sure too" Sue whispered back.

Sue is a girl who mostly doesn't show her true feelings, she also have a problem with her family just like Jenna, but Sue's family had always wanted to send her abroad, since, she's a step-daughter. Sue's mother was the second wife, she passed away due to her illness. To Sue, Jenna was like a sister, although she has a sister herself, a step-sister.

Sue knew she should do something, but she didn't have the courage to, since she had never had an issue like this with Jenna before, to Jenna it is very important, as she needs the scholarship to be able to live independently. As for Sue, it was also an important opportunity, since being called a Harvard student was her dream and of course running away from home is also another goal she has to achieve. To achieve her dream, she has to take away her friend's happiness. Sue had to choose, between her friend and her dreams.

**After the class\, Ring ! Ring! **

Sue walked to somewhere quiet to pick up the call.

" you better go abroad and stay there forever " said Sue's step-mother.

" No, I have decided !  I'll be giving the scholarship away to someone who needs it more than me! "

" You!! You better not show your face after the graduation!!"

" If you want me to disappear, give me money instead !" Sue shouted.

" I knew it ! You were after my daughter money!!..... "  Sue's step-mother shouted as Sue hang up on her.

Toot toot toot....

**Back to Jenna **

Jenna and her friends went to play bowling at a bowling center far away from the school. The bowling center is quiet, there are only a few people playing, since it's still morning. The bowling center bring back lots of memories Jenna had with Sue. The old days of when they were just 14 and free, they had nothing much to worry about, they can do whatever they wanted.

 Jenna sat down watching her friends play after failing to hit anything on her first play. She sat there thinking of how she should continue her life.    ' It's not like it is the end of my life, right..' she told herself.

" Jenna, c'mon, get up here, if you're gonna sit there watching, you'll never hit the jackpot ! " one of her friends shouted from far away as she ran toward Jenna.

After hearing what her friend said, Jenna suddenly felt a determination to hit all the bowling pin.

Jenna got up and walked toward the bowling lane. She grabbed one of the balls and carefully measuring how she should throw the ball.

" 3 2  Jenna go !! ..... 1 !!! " Jenna friends cheered as she throw the ball. The ball went straight down the lane, as it was about to reach the pins, it took a turn and hit only 5 . Jenna felt disappointed, but wanted to try again. Jenna waited quietly for her turn to come again.

Soon it was her turn again.

" 3... 2... 1!!" A voice in her head screamed, " Jackpot! Jackpot! You can do it !"

BANG ! JACKPOT !

Her friends clapped and clapped. Jenna smiled and a voice in her head told her ' I did great '

"Oh my it's already 5, where should we go next ?"

" Hey guys, I think I have had enough fun, I should get going now " Jenna told her friends

" Sure, Jenna cheer up ! We'll be going !" said one of her friend

" Bye Jenna, today was fun " said another.

" Hey Jenna, you better start hanging out with us too, bye ! " said the last one.

"Thanks guys" Jenna shouted as she ran towards the street to call for a taxi.

Before Jenna could call the taxi her phone rang, it was Sue, she didn't know what she is supposed to say to Sue, since she skipped school today without telling Sue. Jenna was about to press hang up, but she couldn't.

" Hey Jen .... Umm we promised to visit the night street on the last day of school remember ..."

" .... " Jenna paused, she felt that she'll not enjoy the night if she meet Sue, Jenna wasn't angry but she just felt that she needed time to process this. She knew it was stupid to be like this. At the last minute, Jenna decided to go, she felt it was not right of her to abandon her sister-like best friend.

" Yeah, I remember, Lets visit the night street, we should meet near the coffee shop"

" Ok ... I'll be there."

Thirty minutes later

Sue and Jenna meet near a coffee shop they use to come.

" Jen... have you waited long.. "

" No I just came a minute ago, it wasn't that"

After some awkward polite talk, Jenna and Sue went looking around the night street, it was a pretty busy street.

"Jen.. actually I have de- "

" I am sorry Sue.. I shouldn't have done that " said Jenna as she walk along Sue with her head down looking at the ground.

" Me too, I am sorry Jen, I should have comforted you. Back then and now, I am still terrible at comforting people."

" Sue, to be honest, this morning and moments ago, I felt hatred towards you. But after walking quietly when we are suppose to enjoy it, makes me think of the old days and it makes me feel guilty," Jenna started to tear up as she continued walking "I shouldn't have that thought towards you just because of a mere dream."

" No Jenna, it wasn't a mere dream, it was your dream, you had the right to be angry... " Sue replied as she starts to tear up after seeing Jenna cry.

As they continued to walk, the two friends came to a quiet place. As they cry the sound of the lake and wind whoosh by. Jenna and Sue sat on the bench and decide to talk it out.

" Jenna, I have decided to give up the scholarship...." Sue told Jenna.

"Why did you gave it up, I am angry that I didn't make it, but It doesn't mean you should give up, it's a life opportunity, you've always want it "

" I'll still be unhappy without you there with me .. " Sue sobbed.

 After hearing Sue, Jenna cried even harder.
