I was gathering seaweed and stones on the saw floor.

A boring thing to others but it was really fun for me.

and it was common to be doing this since mating season was around the corner.

so you would often see us gatherers picking stuff up off the sea floor.

while the hunters would hunt big prey to bring home tho their mate,friends,family ect.

I don't have a mate yet but I'm sure I'll get one soon.

In this world you need a mate to survive.

People who have a mate are better than people who don't.

People who have a mate can have kids and a stable food source.

While people who don't often have to fight for their survival.

To get the essentials you have to be strong.

Eren's POV.

I was swimming on the sea floor near the gathering area when I felt like someone was looking at me.

I turned to see a beautiful merman looking at me.

his dark blueish greenish tail.

his black hair that glittered in the dark.

his glowing light blue eyes.

He is perfect I want him as my mate.

I said under my breath.

Just then I remembered that mating season was 3 days away,

And I could shoot my shot.

Or at least try to.

Were close by eachother so I could smell that he was unmarked.

so I decided that I'll go into courting as soon as possible.

We carefully swam to each other not breaking eye contact.

when we were almost touching each others chest I spoke.

Eren:hello there.

I guess my voice startled him.

cause he jumped back in surprise.

(Eren has a shit deep voice).

Eren:I'm sorry did my voice scare you I didn't mean it.

I said as calmly as I could.

I guess he lowered his guard because he came up to me and wrapped his tail around mine.

(it means hello or when mates I want to have a baby).

Levi:i-im Levi nice to meet you.

Levi said in a sweet voice.

which made me want to mate with him right then and there.

Eren:OK Levi do you want to go get something to eat with me.

I said kinda nervous.

I expected him to say no or something.

but to my shock......

Levi:sure I'm starving let's go get some drops.

(Drops\=bits of crab pressed pulled and grinded into a pancake shape that Mer's love).

After eating we went. to my house.

it was in a big shipwreck.

and was clean not a price o seaweed could be in here at any point of time.
