“Hey, are you almost ready? We got to leave soon, we want to be late but not too late.” Said Clara. Clara was a beautiful girl, long black hair with deep blue eyes, and about 5’6”. She was wearing a plain white shirt with some short shorts to show off her long legs with some white high tops.

“Don’t rush me, making this face pretty takes time!” Yelled Charlie from the bathroom finishing off her wing eyeliner. Charlie was shorter then her bestie standing at about 5’3”. She had brown hair with a carmel balayage, long hair down to her waist with beautiful brown eyes that were filled with golden flakes. She was dressed in a white shirt showing off her curves and some black leggings. Finishing off her look with some white slip-ones. They were getting ready for a neon paint rave in the desert, which is why they were dressed in mostly white.

“Okay, my wings are perfect. Let’s go!” Charlie said while picking up her keys and walking towards the door. Clara ran after her yelling “shot gun!” Charlie just laughed since she was the only other person getting in the car.

Silas was a 24 year old guy, who was tall, with dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He was waiting for his friends to finish getting ready so they could leave for the party too. He wasn’t excited about going since he had a long day at work but his friends kidnapped him. He had a group of friends he grew up with, all owning their own companies. Michael and Archie were huge into parties while Silas would rather stay home and work. His workaholic tendencies were why at 24 years old he never had girls around him, he was the most wanted bachelor in the nation. He saw them has distractions that took up too much of his time.

Archie yelled running to Silas’s truck, “let’s go meet some girls!” While the other two guys just followed him. They climbed in and set off to this party in the middle of nowhere. Not expecting his whole life would change after this night.

Charlie and Clara arrived at the party. They paid the fee at the front table and grabbed some paint from the people manning it. They then found their group of friends and started talking to them. With the paint in hand Charlie was trying to get anyone to let her draw on them but no one in their group wanted her too.

“Fine since none of you are going to let me paint on them I’ll find another group of friends.” She told them while stomping away. Her friends just chuckled and rolled their eyes.

Has she was walking around she saw a group of guys. One tall guy stood out to her and she questioned if she should go over and talk to them. Just then she heard one of them calling out to her, “Hey girl, come here and tell us where you got that paint from.” So she walked over slowly.

“Thanks for coming over, I’m Archie and this is Michael and Silas. Do you mine telling us where you got the paint from?”

“I can tell you but I first need to paint someone” she replied to them, winking.

Archie was about to reply, but Silas cut in saying “Come closer and paint me” The guys just stood there mouths open wide in shock. They never expected him to say anything to a girl, let alone have her touch him.

Charlie came closer and asked “Where would you like me start?”

He held out his very built arm, pointing to his bicep and said “Start here and make a cool design.”

She put her little hands on his arms and her cheeks started to turn pink. She’s been close to other guys before but something about him was different. She couldn’t help but give his biceps a little squeeze while painting on them. He chuckled under his breath knowing she was impressed.

“Is that all you wanted?” She asked finishing up and trying to hide her red cheeks from him.

He just smiled and said “I need you write my number down on the front of my shirt so that everyone can see it.” He put one of his hands around her waist and pulled her closer. She blushed even harder feeling his hand on her body.

She put her hands on his chest and started to write the numbers has he said them. Once he finished talking she tried to pull away but he kept his hand on her and used his strength to keep her close.

“Charlie get over see and start dancing with me! I need my partner!” She looked and saw Clara waving to her calling her over. She then looked back at Silas, put her hands back on his chest and pushed him away with all her might. Once she was free she ran away not looking back because she was worried he would see her burning cheeks and her cute, shy smile.

The guys looked back at him and Michael said, “ you let her get away easily.”

Silas just smiled in the direction she ran off too and repeated “So her names Charlie...Interesting.”

Silas drove into the parking lot and told his two friends, “Listen, I will only say this once. We will stay for 1 hour and then we will leave. I have an important meeting tomorrow and I refuse to be out too late.”

Archie and Michael laughed and just looked at each other and nodded. There is no way I’m leaving after 1 hour. I got to meet chicks somehow. They both thought.

When walking in everyone noticed the group of guys and looked down. No one was going to stop Silas and his crew from walking in without paying. Since they didn’t stop at the front table, they were never able to pick up their own paint.

“Do you guys notice that these people have paint to draw on each other. Did we miss something?” Michael said turning around to face them. Silas looked up and noticed Charlie walking closer to them. He then looked at Archie and demanded “Call her over here and ask her about the paint.” Of course Archie listen and called her over while thinking to himself, why would Silas ask for a girl to come over to them.

“Thanks for coming over, I’m Archie and this is Michael and Silas. Do you mine telling us where you got the paint from?”

“I can tell you but I first need to paint someone” she replied to them, winking.

Archie was charmed at her boldness and wanted to flirt some more but Silas cut him off. Both of the guys looked at Silas surprised he would let anyone get so close to him. What is this guy thinking and what’s that sly smile he’s showing. Should we worry. They thought to themselves.

Silas had to cut off Archie before he said anything that might take his girls attention. There is no way I will let her look at anyone but me. She doesn’t seem to recognize who she is standing in front of though, he thought to himself.

After finishing his arm, he needed to feel her closer and was afraid she might walk away. So, he put his hand on her waist. Silas saw her cute face turn pink and smiled at how attractive she was to him. He wanted to make her look at him so he could see her better but he changed his mind. He refused to let anyone else get a glimpse of her expression.

He had her write his number on his shirt, hoping she might memorize it. He knew that once he was done saying the words she would pull away. So he held her waist, scared of the coldness his hand will feel once he let’s go of her.

Silas watched her closely has she looked back to hear who was calling her. So her names Charlie. I’ve never heard a name so charming before. As he was stuck in his thoughts he felt her push away from him and let her. He didn’t want to scare her away by being to clingy to soon. So Silas just watched with a smile on his face has she ran towards her friend. His friends stared at him wide eye since they never before seen him touch a girl so tenderly.

Once Charlie came to her, Clara leaned close to her ear and wispered “Do you even know who that guy was, you were feeling up?” Charlie looked at her and tilted her head. “That’s Silas and his crew of good looking men. They pretty much run this city and collect the hearts of their devoted fans. You better hope none of those girls saw that or you’ll have a big target on your back.” Charlie just looked at her with wide eyes and looked back at where Silas was standing. She locked eyes with him and looked away just has fast. No way that’s him and how long has he been staring at me. Plus, why would he let such a simple girl from a simple background get so close to him. She thought to herself.

“Let’s go find the rest of the group” she said while pulling Clara out of Silas’s eye shot. Clara just nodded and let her pull her in whatever direction she wanted.

After a while she let her mind relax from its busy thinking and just danced around with her friends. She noticed a group of guys kept pushing themselves closer to Clara and her. Charlie tried to push themselves away from them. But quickly she felt one of the guys grab her waist and pull her close to his body. She tried to push herself away from him but he just said “Not so fast, you should know dancing like that would bring you trouble” and gave her a disgusting smile. The guy then looked up and saw Silas standing behind her with an expression that could cut glass. He was so scared seeing him that he let go, grabbed his friends and instantly left the party.

Charlie smiled to herself thinking she scared him away all by herself not knowing Silas was still standing behind her. He then grabbed her hand, she did a 360 spin, tripped on her own feet and hit her head on his chest. She looked up when he heard him say, “Well aren’t you going to thank me?” She just stared into his beautiful eyes and nodded slowly. His hand was so warm and big she couldn’t think of anything else.

Say something, anything, just don’t keep standing here nodding like an idiot she kept repeating to yourself. She then reached up, grabbed the hat he was wearing and put it on her head. Charlie looked at him with sparkling eyes and told him, “If you want this hat back I guess you’ll have to stay close the rest of the night and protect me.” When I meant say something, I didn’t mean flirt boldly. She thought beating herself up.

Clara, Michael, Archie and even Silas stood there flabbergasted at the what she said. Silas just smiled, “I wouldn’t have it any other way” and pulled her close to dance with him. Neither of them looked away.

Silas couldn’t pry his eyes away from her. Since he was so tall he was able to see her no matter how many people surrounded her on the dance floor. He locked eye with her hoping she would stare a little longer, but was disappointed when she looked away quickly.

Archie teasingly said, “It’s been one hour, didn’t you say we had to leave after one hour.” Silas waved his hand while walking away from him. He noticed Charlie was moving and didn’t want to lose sight of her so he followed. The boys chased after him surprised he was stepping foot on the dance floor.

He was never a dancer and hated being too close to people. But when he watched her dance so easily, he didn’t seem to mind being apart of the mosh pit. He didn’t let it stop him from noticing other guys watching her and was feeling a rush of anger when one guy touched his precious girl. He knew the guy was weak so with just one look he would ran off and Silas was right.

Silas chuckled has he watched Charlie from behind being so proud of herself, he was so amazed he just had to touch her. He didn’t mean to make her trip on herself while spinning but he thanked the heavens he was able to get her so close again. “Well aren’t you going to thank me.” He heard himself say. He was drowning in her sparkling eyes and couldn’t help feeling his heart skip a beat. He just hoped she didn’t feel it too.

Once she stole his hat, he couldn’t help but be surprised, he quickly changed his look to a smirk though. No way am I letting this tiger get the upper hand on me. Where did such boldness come from anyways.

The rest of the time he held her close and danced never once taking his eyes from hers.

The rest of the gang stood amazed that someone actually got Silas to dance. Archie quickly changed his thoughts when he saw Clara standing next to him, also staring at them.

“If you need something more impressive to look at, I can show you some of my moves!” Clara just look at Archie, smiled and said “Too bad you won’t be able to keep up with me!” She then turned around and disappeared into the crowd.
