Imagination is a potent, powerful thing. You can create an entirely different world with it, much unlike the one we live in today. Many fantastical creatures that we ne'er can hope will ever live here can live in the universe born merely of imagination. We may use imagination as an escape from the world we live in, but what if the creatures and the world created by our thoughts arise and find us here now, pulling us deep in their void where we can no longer escape? Follow the journey of this small group of youths, and see how far they may come.

Some years past.. A boy sits by his windowsill, staring wistfully at the outside, head empty an hollow as his mind forms images of himself, playing in the sands of a sea of gold and riches befitting of kings. He sighs, staring on at the sinking sun in the horizon.

He mutters to himself, voice soft and high-pitched. He can imagine so much, yet so little—Head stuffed with thoughts of the real world he lives in. His innocence is only sheltered because of the fact that he was a child, nothing more.

His sister calls from downstairs, snapping him out of his hollow thoughts, startled and slightly panicked. He calms down and stands up, running down their house's far too long staircases, going down further than any he'd seen before. His nerves an on fire, but a grin is on his face as he shouts back.

He is still young in these flashing images of the past, the moments he remembers small and thin as crystals.

He finds himself in a cave, now—As he always has after the incident. Few people surround him, while others guard the mouth of the cave where small streams of sunlight manage to make their way through the cracks between them.

One of them shout, her strong voice echoing throughout the cave, making a ringing noise form in his ears. He didn't appreciate the sudden loud noise. The sounds of footsteps come closer to him, and two fingers grab at his chin, raising it up and down.

Her tone cuts sharp like a knife, as she stands and looks down upon him. He looks up at her in response, furrowing his brows.

He asks, his voice hoarse and tired. The girl only glares.

She spits, her words still sharp—If not even sharper.

He looks at them, slightly confused as if confirming what one of the girls had said. He had been trapped in this cave for who knows how long, andhe doesn't even know what he's done for them to capture him like this.

His tone is challenging—Mocking almost—As he glares up at them with a firm frown. The girl sighs and rolls her eyes as him, shaking her head.

He looks at her, startled for a moment. The novels he wrote, the things he merely thought about on a whim, are here? He stared in utter disbelief.

He blinks, unable to comprehend what he'd heard. Every character, every monster and beast, every fruit his imagination bore, was alive and were free to do whatever they may want.

Fear struck him like a stick struck a bell—A hollow, echoing ringing sound left in its wake. His eyes were wide still, and though his lips were parted, no sound slipped out of them.

An unfamiliar voice rings in his ear through the thoughts he had, and his body is racked with shivers despite the warm spring.

She assures lightly, crouching down to get a look at him. He snapped his head towards her, making her jolt and fall onto her back at the sudden movement.
