AKEMI AYANO

I could feel my breathing getting more rapid. I took a deep breath from my asthma pype to calm down and then I entered the noisy class. The teacher looked in my direction and then silenced the class.

"Quiet down everyone. We have a new student today."

The class went silent as all eyes turned to me. Some of the students started whispering and others continued what they were doing. But one kid continued staring at me, it kinda freaked me out but I tried ignoring it.

"This is Akemi Ayano and he comes from Japan. Please treat him well and help him around the school and city when he needs it."

I looked around at all the faces who were now looking directly at me, so I bowed my head.

"Kon'nichiwa." I said with a shaky voice

Everyone looked at me with confusion clearly written all over their faces. Oh God, I already messed up. Of course they don't know Japanese. I bowed again

"Gomen." I didn't know what else to say.

A girl suddenly jumped up yelling,

"I know that one! It means 'sorry' in Japanese, right?"

I looked up. The girl was really pretty. She had long dirty blonde hair that fell down her shoulders in many waves. Her eyes were a beautiful light blue, just like the sky. She was tall, clearly taller then I was, but still short compared to most of the other students whom I've seen. She had kind eyes and a big smile across her lips.

"Hai, arigatõ." I thanked her for helping me and she smiled and sat back down.

"Akemi doesn't know much English so he'd really appreciate it if you'd help him out with his language." the teacher said, glancing over at me.

I understood English very well, my dad is originally from America and speaks English all the time, but I have trouble pronouncing most of the English words

"You can go sit next to Sugiyama Takumi, she's the one who just jumped out of her seat."

I knew who he was talking about, the girl who knows Japanese. I went to the seat next to hers and sat down on the chair while the teacher continued explaining the work he was busy with.

"Hey."

I looked up when the girl suddenly spoke. She was smiling at me again.

"Do you want to be friends?" She asked. She said it slowly and made a few gestures with her hands.

Did she think I didn't understand her? Probably.

"Understand English, not speak well." I said and she looked slightly shocked.

"Oh, that's good, now I can speak normal." She giggled and looked at me, again smiling.

"So would you like to be friends?" She asked again.

I didn't have any friends back in Japan. I never was one for socialising. But I'd like to try and change that. I nodded. I'd like to be friends with this energetic and cheerful girl, who oddly smiles too much. She then smiled and faced the teacher. Maybe moving here wasn't so bad. I already made a friend. Something I couldn't manage to do in Japan. I turned to the teacher and started taking notes of what he was saying.

TIME SKIP

The bell rang and the kids stormed out of the class for lunch break. I packed away my notes and got up. I left the class and walked past the cafeteria. I still didn't like people so I avoided noisy places like that. I walked up the stairs and to the roof. It was quiet so I sat down on a bench. I took out my book and started reading it.

"Ahem"

My eyes shot up to see the guy who was staring at me in class. He was tall and looked well built. He had darkish tanned skin and piercings in his ears. He had golden eyes and his hair was bleached with the roots still brown. He was staring down at me.

"What are you doing here?" He seemed annoyed.

I gulped. I was terrified. I tried keeping my breathing under control as he looked at me.

"Q-quiet." I managed to say.

I didn't know what to do. He was still staring at me and I felt uneasy. I took my book and got up. I bowed my head.

"Gomen." I said as I started walking to the door that leads back into the school building.

"Where do you think you're going?"

I froze. I turned around and looked at him. He looked really annoyed now. Did I do something wrong?

"I-inside?" I answered, my voice was a bit shaky.

"Come here." His voice sounded demanding.

I hesitated at first. He got annoyed by that, I could clearly see it on his face, so I quickly walked to him. He looked me up and down. I closed my eyes, not knowing what he was gonna do. I felt his fingers caressing my cheek and my eyes shot open. He was staring into my eyes so intensely that I couldn't help but look away. His fingers were long and warm as they slid down my cheek. He slid his hand down onto my neck and ny breathing started getting faster. His eyes converted from mine and he was now looking at my neck. He lowered his head and gently placed a kiss on my pale skin. I stood completely still. I was scared that if I move away that he would hit me. He looked into my eyes again.

"Be mine." He said it with a straight face.

My eyes widened and I could feel my breathing worsen. I was hyperventilating. I didn't know what he was thinking or feeling but I knew I needed my asthma pump. I dug through my pocket for it. I found it and brought it up to my mouth. I took a deep breath from it and tried getting my breathing under control, it calmed down a bit.
