The story revolves around the nice female lead's journey to a flowery path. Brizney is an orphan raised by her priest uncle after her Marquis parents' death. Being a gifted healer, she joined Royal academy with the goal to restore her family's lost honor. But she got entangled with handsome 2 men.
At first she found the Crown Prince– Rias de Elmiere bleeding under an oak tree and saved him in the 2nd year. He offered her to join their team and eventually she met Archduke's only heir, Fabian Laurent. Rias and Fabian were childhood friends with 2 years age gap. Rias is nice and righteous.
Fabian is distant, unfriendly and abrasive in nature. He has a childhood trauma on his mother's death. So Fabian was cold to Brizney at first later, slowly opened up. She helped him to overcome his trauma. He liked her and came to rescue her first when she was in trouble. He didn't know Rias contemporarily liked the same girl.
When they knew each other's feelings for the same woman, they started competing for her love after a big argument. Brizney was stuck between choosing Rias whom she respected and Fabian whom she took as her savior. She didn't want to hurt their feelings so she tried giving 'em a chance.
She went on 4 holiday dates with both of them separately to understand them well.
In the graduation year, monster outbreak occurred. Aura user Rias, Swordsmaster Fabian and Healer Brizney the trio made a great contribution to the expedition and earned glory and fame. Rias and Fabian confessed their love to her again at once and asked to marry her in the near future.

In the past 3.6 years, Fabian Laurent kept lamenting over not getting Brizney's love– He tried to forget her by dating ladies. He dated an evil lady, Agatha who poisoned his mind. "She chose Rias for his Throne" reminder made him unable to move on— He hated Rias. Lilian was a fake fiancée while he plotted to break the couple while pretending to be a friend ; caused chaos.

In the novel, Fabian Laurent was stronger than Rias in sword combat and he almost overthrew Rias in the final battle. But an unidentified rat among his team betrayed him and rebellion failed. He was taken to the Prison and was beaten by Rias's men.
He didn't spill the beans about his helpers let alone write down confessions. But he surely confirmed to kill the Priest. Brizney got mad and forced him to drink a deadly rare poison and turned him deaf, dumb and blind. So Fabian fell into a living hell. It's the opposite what people are talking about. He never drank the poison wilingly as well! Then where did the confessions come from? They are absolutely false!!!!
Why Dahlia Ezelcret's family got executed if she was the novel's sub FL who's bound to have a happy ending?! These mishaps weren't supposed to happen. The current situation never happened in the original novel!!! This afterstory is different—!!! 💀

Its as if someone has twisted the truth and wants to benefit from it. I don't know who exactly. I doubt that there might be hidden factors behind the mismatch.
Many people might not understand why I am sympathizing with a CRAZY VILLAIN based on some doubt but, there are a few things left unseen what others don't know about him. Fabian has feared attachment for a long time because he was left alone by everyone. Then he got attached to FL.
He felt threatened once the other guy got the upper hand on her feelings— Fabian was influenced by bad people and made wrong choices. I admit that he shouldn't have murdered Brizney's uncle, rebelled against Rias and kidnap her. Even so.....
I find him to be very pitiful. He never had anyone to guide him and in the long run he became a villain. Now, If he dies then nobody will know. Why wasn't he given a chance of redemption? I can't accept it!!
