I didn’t want to follow them. But I couldn’t stay. The questions stuck around my head. Why Toko did that? Isn't he my best friend?

I had to find out what was going on. So I followed Toko. Nayla told she would be at the coffe shop. I didn’t told Toko that.

He headed to the super market. Naila surely wasn’t there. Toko waited for sometimes then opened his phone.

He was like shocked seeing phone. He immediately left the super market and reached the coffee shop.

I was sitting beside a corner. They couldn’t see me but I could hear them. They were like quarreling. A sweet quarrel only the dearest could do.

"Why are you late? I was waiting for 20 minutes."

"You said we will meet at the super market. I went there."

"I messaged you to come here instead. And...also I told your best friend.. What was his name?...I can't remember.. Umm...forget it. The one who got my diary back. I told him to inform you."

"You told him we are going out?!"

"Yeah..anything wrong about that?"

"I...does he know we are meeting here? "

"Yes..he knows. Any problem?"

" No..no problem..but don't tell him about us. Ok?"

"Okay..but isn’t he your best friend? "

"Yeah..he is. That's why don't tell him."

"I can't understand."

"I didn't actually tell my friends that I am dating you. You know how they are...they will be just a disturbance. Nothing more. "

" ok..I like your secret dating idea."

"Please..tell him that you were just joking..and we didn’t meet here. Ok?"

I listened what I shouldn’t,

But did what I couldn’t.

At night, Nayla texted me. I don't know where she got my account. Maybe Toko gave her.

My crush texted me for the first time but I wasn’t happy.

" Hey..remember me...I'm Nayla..I pranked you today at school cafe. I didn’t go anywhere with Toko today. I like to prank people. Hope you don’t mind."

Yeah, you pranked me this time.

I didn't want to reply Toko. He texted me like everyday.

"Hey..what's up?"

If I don’t reply, he will think I have known everything. So I replied.

"All good. What about you?"

He replied immediately. Maybe he was waiting for my reply.

" I'm ok too."

" How was your match?"

" What match?"

" Football match."

" Oh..It got cancelled. "

" O..sad."

" Yeah. Hey I heard Nayla told you something."

" She pranked me today."

" What are you saying? How?"

" She said she was going out with you."

" It was a horrible prank. Did you believe it?"

I didn’t know what to reply. Toko couldn’t wait. He texted, " There is no way I would do that. You know that right?"

"Yeah..You promised on our friendship. "

I could sense there started a fracture in our friendship. I didn’t know where it all was going.

"Hey..Onya..you got some time?"

Onya got surprised. She never expected me to talk to her like that. Maybe she was afraid that I would propose her.

"Yeah...but why?"

"Can I talk with you alone?"

Onya's fear got bigger. She looked around. Everyone was laughing and was eager to see what happens next.

Maybe she was thinking to say no. So I immediately said," You don't have to fear that I will propose you."

She smiled and was relived.

"No..no..I wasn’t thinking that."

I smiled back.

"What do you want to say?"

"I can't tell you here...can we talk outside...it’s peaceful there."

"Okay."

Nobody was there. I slowly said," I know that you liked Toko from a long time."

Onya was surprised to hear that and blashed. I continued, " Maybe Toko knows it too. If you want I can do something. "

Onya didn’t say anything but I could see the positive sign in her red face. I wondered why Toko is rejecting this girl?

If she had a small bit of interest in me. I would hold her so tight that nothing could take her away.

Onya remained silent. "Don't you want that?"

Onya talked as if it felt pain,"Yes."

"So will you agree to do what I tell you?"

She got feared. " You have to do something that Toko likes and I know the best about Toko."

"Oh."

"So will you do?"

"Yes."

"Ok then."

She was so mad about Toko that she couldn’t stay. She was nervous and her heart was beating so fast that even I could hear that. She shouted, " What I have to do?"

"You just have to meet him after the school."

"Where?"

"In a coffe shop."

"Will he wait for me?"

"Yeah..he will wait for you there."

I told her where when she had to wait. While I was leaving her. She said," Hey..."

"Yes."

"Umm...why are you doing this for me?"

I didn’t know why I did that. I just smiled. But onya wasn’t satisfied with it. She came near to me and held my hand.

"Tell me...Please..why are you doing this all for me?"

For the first time a girl is holding your hand. What would it feel like?

While the girl is crying too and is as beautiful as the full moon.

"I wanted to help you."

"But why...all of a sudden?"

"I just felt like I should help you."

"Please tell me the exact reason.."

"I want to see you happy....."

"What!"

She left my hand.

I said,"Umm....and....Toko also...that's why..."

Onya said nothing. The bell rang. We were returning our class. I told her for the last time," I will wait for you there."

Toko had no date with Nayla that day. He was free. I said,"Hey Toko..Let's visit that coffee shop again."

" Why?"

"The items there seemed tasty. Wanna try again?"

"Sure.."

"Hey...I will be busy.. So we can't go together.. Can you wait for me there?"

"Okay...no problem...just don't delay much."

The bell rang. Toko looked at me. I raised all my finger to tell him that I will join him just in five minute. Toko showed his thumb.

I actually had no work. All I wanted was just to find Nayla. Finding her wasn’t easy. Asking one to many people I found her in dance club. She was practicing inside. Nobody was allowed to enter there while practice. One of her friend was outside. I went near her.

"Um...can you call Nayla. I have some important task with her."

"What important task?"

"I can't tell you that."

"Then I can't call her."

"You were with her right? That day in the coffee shop?"

"Yeah..I was."

"Oh...then I can tell you. It's about Toko."

"Toko?!"

"Yes.."

"What about him?"

"I can't tell you that."

"Ok..wait here. I am telling her."

Then came immediately. Nayla recognised me.

"You are Toko's best friend, right?"

"Hmm."

"What do you want to tell about Toko?"

"You have to come with me. "

"Where?"

"That coffe shop."

"I want to show you something about him."

When I arrived at the coffee shop with Nayla. Toko was there already. And so was Onya. I felt a little pain for Onya but I had nothing left to do.

"They are dating."

"I don't believe it. How could Toko...He was a cheater then?"

I knew Nayla wasn’t questioning me. She was questioning herself. So I remained silent.

"I am leaving. Tell Toko. I don't want to see his face."

Nayla left. I came inside silently and tried to hear what they were talking about.

"You can't even try for once?"

"I told you. I am dating Nayla."

" Nayla..the new girl?"

"Yes.."

"I loved you for a long time and you are dating her who just came some days ago?"

"You may loved me for a long time but I never saw you in that way."

"You don't have any interest in me then?"

"I told you already I don’t. "

"What I have to do to get love from you?"

"You don't have to do anything. I can't look at you that way."

"You are breaking my heart? "

"I don't want to but I don’t have any other option."

"If you love me someday. Please call me. I will wait for you. "

"Please dont wait. You can find someone lot better than me."

Onya left there crying. I wanted to say sorry to her but couldn’t. Instead I appeared before Toko smiling.

"Sorry I am late."

"No problem."

"Why is you mood off?"

"Nothing... I am fine."

"Anything happened? "

"No.. Nothing happened. "

"Oh...I will order then."

"Hey...I am sorry but I am not feeling well to eat. Please dont mind. I am leaving you alone."

I didn’t stop him. He went. I felt happy that day. Ordered a cake and enjoyed it.
