My life . Let’s just say it is one crazy roller coaster,but let’s start at the beginning.

“Bye Holls have a good summer!” shouted Roxy my best friend“bye and you too!” I hollered back. When I was headed to the front door I saw all kinds of boxes everywhere. “What’s going on!?!” I asked a bit frustrated. “Honey, we are moving!” Said mom she did jazz hands to try and make the situation better but it didn’t work.”Why?” I asked. “Drop the attitude.” My dad said as he walked outside to join us. “Well honey, I got a offer to teach at a new college. Isn’t that great!?” Mom said happily. Even though I was angry we had to move I was proud and happy that she got the job. “ Oh and gram is moving in with us.” Dad quickly mumbled “WHAT!!!” After that I went in the house and stomped up the stairs until it was time to start the summer road trip to our new town.

“Where are we moving to anyway” I said with a ton of attitude. “A town called Shining Bright.” Said mom. After that there wasn’t much talking till we got there the next afternoon. I thought the house looked splendiferous.

“I admit I miss my big bro while he is in college but I loved getting first dibs on the room” I thought.

I did leave my room much that summer I read and read and then read some more,until school started.

“Come on baby you love school.” Dad said. “I loved my old school not this school dad.” I whined. “Well I don’t care get your butt out of bed!” He shouted while tickling me. “Fine!” I said half way laughing. When I walked into the kitchen gram was eating fruit salad and mom was having coffee. I sat next to gram and started pouring myself som cereal. I turned on mine and grams show. She may drive me crazy but since we moved here we started to get along a lot better.

After 30 minutes or so mom shouted through the house “come on you are gonna miss the bus!” Once I got to the door mom kissed my forehead and told me good luck as she shoved me out the door. I waited for a few moments and before I knew it the bus arrived. “Well hurry up!” Shouted the bus driver. “Yes ma’am.” I said a tad bit frightened. “Don’t call me ma’am call me Helen.” She told me. “Yes ma- I mean Helen.” She smiled and waved her hand telling me to come on. When I got on I sat in a empty seat. On the next stop we picked up a red headed girl and she sat right next to me. “Excited for school? what grade are you in?” She asked. I told her “7th grade what about you?” “Same!” She said with a smile on her face. “ What’s you name?” She asked me. ”Holland but you can call me holls. What’s yours?” “Bella or your new bestie.” She said laughing and I couldn’t help but laugh too. After that we were inseparable.

I am so sorry if it is bad this is my first time making a story and it is kind of embarrassing but I promise I will try hard to improve.

After 3 years she was still my best friend but after Christmas break or on my birthday is when I started changing.

“OMG!” Shouted Bella. “Hi!” I shrieked back. “I missed you!” We both said as we started laughing. As we where heading to are classes I felt a bit lightheaded. “How ya feeling?” She asked. She sounded a little concerned. “Fine!” I quickly replied. “Sooo...” she said “what about getting a boyfriend this year ,”she began to continue “it would be good for you, ya know.” “Yeah you have been telling me that since we met literally after we got off the bus you asked if I wanted a boyfriend!” She began to laugh. “You remember that?!” She asked laughing. “Well y-“ the bell cut me off. “We better get to class. See you in 3rd period!” She shouted at she headed to the end of the hall. I was already it front of the door to my class. Algebra. The only class I have a B in. I walked in and started thinking.

I was kinda upset Bella didn’t mention my birthday but I didn’t mention it either. I have never really been a fan of my birthday. I always have had a headache on my birthday. Gram has always told me “one day it will be worth it one day my star” what that means you may wonder,I don’t have a clue. Which only makes me more curious of when the pain will be worth it. “Holland!” My teacher Ms.Bond shouted the sound of her voice brought me out of my little world of thoughts. “That is the 3rd time I have call your name” she said. “Are you ok?” she asked. “Yes. I am fine just in my-“ she cut me of to complete my sentence “own little world,right?” My face told her she was right. “Since you are ok will you come answer the problem on the board?” She wasn’t exactly asking so I stood up but just then I felt a burning in my head. It felt like hot coals suddenly dropped on my brain.

Next thing I know I am in the office. When I sat up I at looked Bella but something was wrong her eyes were glowing!! “Ahhh!” I screamed. The nurse asked “what’s wrong?” “Eyes.” I whispered. Gram said it’s “its ok. I always told you your headaches will be worth it but I must admit I have never heard of this one.” “What do you mean? Look at their eyes are they ok?” I asked worried. “Their eyes are fine holls,” I let out a breath as she continued “but we need to talk.” I was honestly scared of what she would say. “How about we talk tomorrow it is your birthday after all my star. Go collect your homework so we can go home.” I nodded my head at headed to all my other classes to get my work. I had already gone to 4 classes and I kept my head down so I wouldn’t see peoples eyes. I walked into world history and looked around to see if it was just Bella and the nurse’s eyes that glowed but when I looked around everyone’s eyes glowed. Except for one person his eyes didn’t glow at all. After I saw that his eyes didn’t glow I was scared so I got my work and rushed out of there but on the way back to the office I only saw his face in my little world of thoughts.

In th car I didn’t speak at all. I didn’t know what to say but finally I asked “what did you mean?” “About what?” Grams asked. “You said you have never seen one like this, what did you mean?” “I have never heard of seeing glowing eyes.” She replied. Once we arrived home she said “lets just tell your parents I checked you out to get a facial ,ok.” I nodded .

The rest of the night I put on a fake smile like I normally do and partied with my family that for some reason had glowing eyes that changed color. That night I went into grams room to ask her a question. “Gram?” I called out “ yes my star?” She replied. “What does it mean if someone’s eyes don’t glow? Like yours.” I asked. “Well, how about we have that talk?” She asked. I nodded. She said“Oh my star you are so much more important than you think and one day you will find out why but know this according to the prophecy you , the person you are asking about and one more you have yet to meet will one day save all magic. Now I did some research in the old books and there’s one before you who had your power. Your power can do many great things but starting tomorrow after school we will start to train.” As I began to head to bed she stopped me and said “ to answer your question if your abilities don’t work on them then most likely they have abilities as well but according to the prophecy the one you are asking about has not discovered them yet so don’t bring them up.” I nodded once again and headed to bed.

The next morning in school I met up with Roxy. We spoke on the way to class she asked all kinds of questions like if I was alright or sick I just told her to come to my place after school and I would explain why I saw glowing eyes. Through all my classes I looked for him and I finally saw him in second period-Biology- . Never noticed him before but all I could do is stare at him and not only did he catch me staring but so did roxy.

“So.” Roxy said. “What?” I replied knowing exactly what she was asking about. “Do you like Brayden?” She asked very enthusiastically. “So that is his name. Oh and to answer your question no I do not he just intrigues me that’s all.” She just looked at me and grinned I knew that this was not the end of this conversation. The rest of the way home we didnt talk I just thought. I wasn’t lying when I said he intrigued me. There was just something peculiar about him that drew me in and I didn’t want to fight this attraction. I feel like when when i look at him I will be ok and something isn’t wrong with me. Once we arrived home grams looked at me like she was saying what is going on. “I said I would explain but first I need you to.” I said.
