Under the tree, there sat a boy living in his own fantasy. He was smiling happily as his pen made contact with the paper's surface. The leaves dancing around as the wind hits it. Flowers slowly starting
to bloom as the sun sets to the ground causing the sky to be of the color warm orange. Footsteps can be heard closing in as a girl walked up to him. "What are you doing?" the girl asked him. The boy didnt mind the
girl and went back to daydreaming whilst moving his pen around.
The girl just stared at the said boy until he finally opened his eyes, looking to her direction. "Day dreaming" the boy said, wasting no seconds as he went back to his own little fantasy, closing his eyes yet again. "What are you day dreaming?" the girl asked, sitting beside the dreamer. "hmm.. something" the boy replied, eyes still close as he lift his head up, facing the sky. "Do you know what the book said about day dreaming?" the girl said as she look to him. The boy's eyes opening from the sudden words that came out from the girl. "No" he said looking to the girl, seemingly interested on what shes about to say. "they say dreams are a punishment" she started. The boy looked at her with pure confusion as she continued her sentence "not being able to accept reality or adapt to it, the people chose to simply just dream". The boy smiled as he look vast across the sky. The girl stared at him, curiousity filling her mind as she look to the smiling boy infront of her. "What do you think?" she asked the boy for his opinion. His eyes staying glued to the sky as a sigh left his mouth.
"Dreams are a curse, not a punishment" He said as he leaned closer to the tree behind him, smiling as he do so. The girl that has been trying to get into his mind, doesnt understand what he meant so then
asked, "what do you mean by that?". Silence filled the space as the boy took time to answer the girl's question. "Tell me..." the boy replied with a pause as he switch his gaze towards the girl. "What exactly did we do wrong to get 'punished'?" The boy said. Although a happy smile could be seen, his eyes reflected otherwise.
The girl look to him with pleading eyes, asking him to elaborate further. "As the book stated, we 'chose' to simply just dream" He said, looking down to his note full of scribbles. "It's not because we cannot adapt to reality that we chose to daydream..." his smile fading as his finger trail with each and every line. "It's because we 'refuse' to adapt to the cruel world called 'reality" he said with a frown on his face.
"No one is born a dreamer... " His facial expressions giving off the fact he was not happy about their topic. "We chose to be a dreamer because we know that reality is cruel in its every way".
The girl's eyes widen as she look to the boy. Mixed emotions filling her as she understands what the boy meant. Slowly, she stood up from where she just sat, the boy following her movement with his eyes.
She smiled warmly before looking to the boy, holding out her hand. "Thank you. I'm mosses, mosses vandenberg." the boy looked to her, not knowing what shes thanking for. After a couple thoughts...
"Dash. Dash remington" the boy reached for her hand, accepting it before getting pulled standing up by the girl. "Thank you" dash said, looking to her with grateful eyes.
Thus, a new friendship have blossomed to thin air.
