The Mental Love

That’s unfortunate. Have you thought of moving somewhere else soon then?’’ sakhu

haruki was a patient in mental centre and he falls in love with girl named sakhura who was doctor in mental centre.

sakhura is pretty cute, Haruki thinks to himself one day as he sits on his bed waiting for his next appointment. She looks so much like a little kid; her big doe eyes and chubby cheeks making Haruki’s heart skip a beat as she sits down beside him after checking that everything was okay.

Haruki tries not to stare when she talks because she doesn’t realise it. But he does notice the way her cheeks flush pink when they are together and he feels a warm feeling settle in his chest every time their hands brush against each other accidentally. He likes sakhura, he decides, and hopes to spend as much time with her as possible.

He gets into a fight with her boyfriend during his last year of residency, and they break up before Haruki can see sakhura again. But he sees her around and whenever he sees her smile at someone else he always makes sure she notices him. Haruki knows sakhura is seeing a therapist, but he still wishes he could be there with her whenever she needed someone to support her through her difficult times.

One month later they meet again, and Haruki is more nervous than ever about what will happen this time.

They get back together after Haruki tells sakhura how he feltabout her. After he tells sakhura he still wants to be with her he takes her hand in his and holds it. Her hands are soft like silk in his and they fit perfectly within his own and for some reason he feels completely content.

After a while sakhura kisses him, her fingers tangling themselves into his hair and he wonders if he should push her away or kiss her back. But eventually, she breaks off the kiss and leans her forehead against his, looking at him in the eye. “I want you to come and visit me at the clinic. You should take care of yourself instead of taking medication that is causing your illness to become worse. Please, let us make amends. I promise I won’t ask for anything in return, just please let me help you!”

Haruuki doesn’t want to admit it, but he misses sakhura more than he would like to admit. So, he agrees to go with sakhura to her clinic, even though he has no desire whatsoever. However, when they step foot in the building and he sees sakhura talking with another person in front of an open office door, he decides he is willing to do anything if it means he’ll get to spend the rest of his life with her.Haruki smiles when sakhura turns towards him and he gives her an apologetic look before walking towards her.

It’s been over a week since Haruki last saw sakhura. The only contact between them is in passing as sakhura rushes to get home in the evenings. Every single evening they spend together, Haruki finds himself wondering why sakhura can’t stay longer. He knows he shouldn’t get attached, especially to a woman who probably only sees him as a colleague, but Haruki can’t help himself. His mind keeps drifting back to the past, remembering the first time he laid his eyes on sakhura as she was trying to escape from the crowd and Haruki couldn’t help but feel happy. It felt like something had clicked in his brain and all at once Haruki was falling for her.

But then something changed, he noticed the change when he tried to call sakhura, and it made things harder for both of them. It didn’t seem right, somehow. Haruki didn’t know what exactly happened, but he was sure that he wasn’t supposed to have feelings for sakhura. He loved his friends, yes, but they didn’t mean as much to him as sakhura did.

So Haruki kept his distanceHe stayed out of his old room, never went near sakhura and he tried to keep his relationship platonic with her as much as he could. Whenever sakhura asked him for anything, Haruki denied it immediately. He knew he shouldn’t say yes to everything sakhura wanted, but sometimes Haruki got stuck in his head and couldn’t find a way to turn it off, so he would give in. But he wouldn’t tell her the full truth. He promised.

He had a friend who worked as an art teacher at a university. He talked to him, told him he wanted to become an artist after working at the hospital for three months. His friend understood, offered Haruki advice and helped him out financially, but when Haruki left work he was left confused and disappointed. He was so close to giving in to sakhura.

That was until sakhura confessed to him. When she said she loved him, Haruki was so overwhelmed by her words and the feelings they brought that he didn’t know what to say. All he wanted to do was say yes. To hug sakhura tightly and hold her close and never let go.

Instead, Haruki said no. And he broke sakhura’s heart. He broke her trust. But now Haruki has finally decided to do what he needs to.

He will move in with sakhura, start fresh with her and show her just how much he loves her.

Chapter 2

‘’Good morning!’’ Haruki greets cheerfully when sakhura steps outside the elevator and into the reception area.

‘’Good morning’’ sakhura mumbles in response. ‘’What a pleasant surprise to see you here.’’

‘’Why thank you’’ Haruki responds with a smile before turning serious. ‘’You look good today.’’

Haruki has spent the entire night thinking about his new girlfriend and planning out their date. They have gone out to eat many times before and Haruki is convinced that if sakhura liked what he was wearing, it would be worth it.

When he met sakhura at the restaurant she looked incredible in that dress. She looked stunning. The white lace fabric complimented her dark skin beautifully and her long blonde hair framed her face perfectly as her green eyes glittered.

‘’Thank you’’ sakhura replied softly, blushing slightly. ‘’Your outfit looks great too.’’

‘Oh’’ Haruki laughed sheepishly. ‘’Thanks. It’s one of my favourites.’’

‘’Do you go to our school?’’ sakhura inquired.

‘’Not really…’’ Haruki trailed off, suddenly unsure. ‘’My roommate does, and I guess I went to school once but that was when we were kids and I don’t think I remember any of it.’’

Sakhura smiled gently. ‘’Well, I hope you’re having a nice time here. Your roommate must be very excited.’’

Haruki laughed loudly. ‘’Yeah, he is’’ he agreed. ‘’The apartment building is beautiful, isn’t it?’’

‘’Yes.’’ sakhura nodded with a fond expression. ‘’It is. Do you live with your roommate now?’’

Haruki shook his head. ‘’No. My boyfriend and I are living together but I have to pay rent myself. We can’t afford to buy two apartments.’’That’s unfortunate. Have you thought of moving somewhere else soon then?’’ sakhura questioned carefully. Haruki frowned, thinking hard.

‘’I don’t know. Maybe… I have thought about leaving, but now that I’ve met you I can’t bring myself to leave you behind’’ Haruki replied honestly, smiling shyly.

Sakhura giggled softly. ‘’Me neither’’ she answered. ‘’I can’t stand to be apart from you either.’’

A sudden pang of anxiety hit Haruki’s stomach and the butterflies he had felt earlier returned tenfold. He swallowed nervously.

‘’I’m sorry, I- I really do love you and I don’t deserve you’’ he said quietly.

Sakhura blinked owlishly. ‘’Huh? What do you mean?’’

‘’I’ve hurt you so much…’’ Haruki began, tears forming in his eyes. ‘’We aren’t meant to be together. You love someone else…’’

Where’s your girlfriend?” Kaito rolled his eyes and turned to face his best frie

You love someone else…’’Sakhura shook her head vehemently, reaching for Haruki’s hand to try and calm him down. ‘’Of course I love you. Haru. I don’t understand. You have to stop blaming yourself. You’ve done nothing wrong.’’

Haruuki sniffles and wipes away the stray tear from his eye. ‘’I haven’t?’’ he asks in disbelief. ‘’You don’t know what I did to you. I’m the reason you can’t walk again! That’s horrible!’’

‘’That isn’t true, Haru. Don’t listen to them. I’m okay now. I’m not going anywhere. Please believe me.’’

Haruki shakes his head. ‘’I don’t know what to believe anymore. There’s a hole in my chest where my heart used to be. I’m scared that I won’t ever feel whole without you again’’ Haruki whispers.

‘’Shh…’’ sakhura whispered softly as she pulled Haruki closer and wrapped her arms around him tenderly.Shhh… you’ll feel better soon. Everything will be fine. Trust me. Everything is going to be fine.’’

They sat there holding each other for hours, until sakhura had to get back to her classes. Then Haruki waited until her class was over before approaching her, nervousness bubbling up inside him and threatening to overflow. He walked over to her, his pace slow and deliberate. When he reached Sakhura’s side she gave him a questioning glance.

‘’Can I talk to you?’’ Haruki asked hesitantly.

‘’Sure.’’ Sakhura replied, looking concerned. ‘’Is everything alright?’’

Haruki bit his lip nervously as he gathered the courage to speak. ‘’I… I want to confess to you. If you’d still have me.’’

‘’Oh…’’ sakhura says, her cheeks flushing slightly. ‘’Are you sure?’’

Haruki nods firmly. ‘’Yes. I want to be with you. I know we weren’t supposed to be together, but you… you make me happy. So please stay with me forever. Please marry me.’’ Haruki blurted out the words with a trembling voice, feeling like a nervous teenager asking his crush on a first date.

Sakhura stared at him blankly for a moment. She seemed lost, shocked, taken aback… and yet at the same time hopeful.

‘’Did you ask me because you were worried?’’ Sakhura asked tentatively.

‘’Uh… well I thought maybe since you’re dating someone else…’’ Haruki murmured softly, fidgeting uncomfortably.

‘’Haru…’’ Sakhura started gently, taking Haruki’s hands in hers and giving them a small squeeze. ‘’I love you more than anything in the world. I’d follow you to the ends of the earth if I could. But I have been trying so hard to be strong these past few months and keep myself together… because you made me feel safe. I wasn’t able to open up to anyone. Not even to my best friend. Because you made me feel loved. Because you cared about me enough to care when I was hurting and needed help. But you didn’t understand. And I thought if I could just be independent for a little while I could finally start being myself… I thought if I stopped hiding who I am I wouldn’t need to worry about being weak in front of everyone. And I realized I can’t do that without you. I can’t continue acting strong when you’re by my side.’’

Sakhura wiped away a stray tear that escaped from Haruki’s right eye. ‘’And, Haru, I’m not mad at you. Or disappointed in you. I know you did your best to protect me. I’m never angry at you.’’

‘’Are you sure?’’ Haruki breathed shakily.

‘’Yes.’’

‘’Will you marry me?’’ Haruki asked, squeezing her hand tighter.

‘’Yes.’’ Sakhura replied, her smile growing into a wide grin. ‘’I would love nothing more than to spend eternity with you.’’

Chapter 18

Rin had always hated parties. He was a people person (okay, most of the time)and enjoyed socializing immensely, but whenever he went to someone’s party he wanted to escape as quickly as possible. Parties were usually noisy and chaotic. It was too loud, the music was too loud, there were too many people, and too many drinks. Rin hated all those things about it and preferred his quiet home life.

Tonight, however, Rin had decided to attend. He had invited his boyfriend, Yuuka, along as well as Kaito and his friends. The party had been arranged weeks ago and they had been told beforehand that it would happen at midnight at the local beach. As long as he didn’t stay after midnight he would be fine.

He stood in line awkwardly, waiting impatiently. He could already see Kaito standing beside another girl. He sighed, wishing he had brought someone else along instead.

“Hey, Rin!” Yuuka greeted cheerfully. She looked extremely pretty tonight, clad in an elegant white dress and wearing red lipstick. Her blonde hair was twisted into a complicated updo. “How are you?”

Rin grinned. “Good. How about you? You look lovely, Yuuka.”

Yuuka blushed slightly. “Thanks, Ryou. You look pretty nice too,” she complimented. “Where’Where’s your girlfriend?”

Kaito rolled his eyes and turned to face his best friend, who was standing behind them, staring off into space with his usual bored expression. “Come on, Ryou. We’re here with her, not you. Stop being such a grump!”

Rin groaned. “Shut up, Kaito! You know I don’t enjoy these kinds of things. Besides, you’re the one who dragged me here. I didn’t agree to go with you.”

The raven-haired boy scoffed and elbowed his friend playfully in the ribs. “You’re such a chicken.”

Rin scowled. “I’m not a chicken. Just sayin’.”

Kaito chuckled. “Whatever you say, dude.”

Yuuka giggled. “So what brings you guys to this party anyway?”

“Just wanted to hang out,” Kaito lied easily.

‘’Yeah. We met up with some old friends after the last practice match and they invited us for a drink,” Rin added, not wanting to lie to Yuuka.

“Ah,” Yuuka said knowingly. “Where’s your girlfriend?”

Kaito rolled his eyes and turned to face his best friend, who was standing behind them, staring off into space with his usual bored expression. “Come on, Ryou. We’re here with her, not you. Stop being such a grump!”

They both wore comfortable clothing which they would need if they wanted to visi

Well then, I guess I’m glad you found some people to hang out with.”

Rin smiled shyly. “Thanks.”

They finally arrived at the counter to order their drinks. A woman was working the register at the front. She smiled warmly at them and took their orders. Rin ordered a bottle of coke and a lemonade while Kaito ordered something weird and fruity.

After a little while the bartender returned with two bottles of soda. “Here you go, gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your night.”

Kaito gave her his signature grin. “Thank you very much,” he said sweetly.

“You are most welcome. Have a great night and come back soon.”

“Thank you,” the boys answered together, smiling at her.

Once they were done ordering, they found a table to sit at, while talking. They talked about random stuff; about school, how things were going, and what they would be doing tomorrow. They talked about silly things, just enjoying the company of their closest friends.

Rin sighed contentedly. Things had been getting better between him and Yuuka lately. Maybe things would be okay once they got married. They might even get divorced. It wouldn’Well then, I guess I’m glad you found some people to hang out with.”

Rin sighed contentedly. Things had been getting better between him and Yuuka lately. Maybe things would be okay once they got married. They might even get divorced. It wouldn’really matter to Rin anyway. They had been living together for three years now, so they had been married for almost six months.

But he knew that he couldn’t tell Yuuka that. He couldn’t break her heart. It wasn’t fair to her. She deserved to be happy.

Suddenly, Yuuka gasped excitedly. “Oh my gosh! Look! Someone came and sat next to us!” she exclaimed excitedly, pointing at a guy sitting across the room.

A boy with short black hair, brown eyes, and a mischievous smirk was approaching the table. “Hello~! Who’s this?”

“It’s Rinnosuke~!” Kaito exclaimed, waving happily.

“Kaito! Hi!” the boy greeted. “Who’s your friend?”

Rin frowned at him. “Why is he calling you Kaito?”

Kaito shrugged. “It’s not my name. Why does it matter who I call him as?”

“Ugh, I don’t know…” Rin muttered, averting his gaze.

‘’What are you two talking about?” Rinnosuke asked curiously.Rin’s my boyfriend!” Yuuka declared proudly. “We got engaged a couple days ago!”

“Congratulations!” Rinnosuke said cheerfully, grinning widely at Rin. “That’s awesome! Congrats, man!”

Rin just stared at his shoes, feeling embarrassed and embarrassed by how pleased the other boy seemed at having him as his boyfriend. Even Kaito was smiling, obviously pleased at his own girlfriend’s announcement.

‘’Yukki…” Rin mumbled sadly, feeling upset again. This time though he managed to suppress the urge to cry and hid his face in his arms. His boyfriend noticed this and wrapped his arm around him comfortingly. ‘’Why does he have to treat me like this…”

“Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to take good care of you, Rinnosuke~” Kaito assured enthusiastically.

Rin lifted his head slowly to give Yuuka a grateful smile and leaned against her, resting his head on top of her shoulder. The raven-haired boy felt bad for making Kaito uncomfortable, knowing how much the boy adored Rinnosuke.

“Anyways...what’s wrong, Rin?”Yuuka asked worriedly, putting her fingers under his chin and tilting his face towards hers.

Rin bit his lower lip and shook his head. “Nothing…it’s stupid. Let’s just talk about something else.”

“Okay,” she agreed reluctantly, pulling away from him. “Let’s talk about anything. Tell me about your day. I missed you yesterday, when I was at practice.”

Rin brightened up instantly. “Really?”

She nodded. “Really. What were you doing?”

“I was practicing.”

Yuuka giggled. “Were you nervous?”

“Of course I was nervous. I still can’t believe I’m going to marry you. It feels weird to think that we’re actually getting married, you know?”

“Me too. But hey, it’s only for a few months, right? After that I’m free, remember?” She placed a small kiss on Rin’s cheek.

“Of course,” he said fondly. “I’ll always wait for you, no matter what.”Yuuka laughed. “And I will do everything in my power to keep you waiting!”

Kaito cleared his throat suddenly.

Yuuka glanced over at him. “Yes?”

“If you’ve made your arrangements, then let’s get out of here before the others start coming.”

“Right.” She grabbed Rin’s hand. “Let’s go.”

They left the bar and walked out of the club, leaving it behind. Outside, there were people everywhere. They walked silently through the streets of Tokyo, heading back to the hotel. They passed several people walking to or fro, all looking busy and tired. They all greeted each other politely as they walked past each other. Rin thought that there must be a lot of work involved in running a nightclub. But he supposed that it was necessary considering that the business was run by some of Japan’s most famous individuals. People like Mitsuba Koushirou, who was the owner of the place.

When they reached the hotel lobby, they quickly found Yuuka’s parents and headed inside. They decided to meet again for breakfast at nine o’clock the following morning. The blond boy picked out an oversized turtleneck sweater and white skinny jeans.

As promised, they arrived at the entrance of the café around eight thirty, just in time to meet up with Mitsuba Koushirou and her daughter, Saya.

Saya was already seated at the table by the door, eating a cupcake while reading a book. Her long blonde hair was tied into two braids and fell down her shoulders perfectly. Saya looked up when they approached the table.

“Hey,” Saya greeted pleasantly, smiling at them.

“Hi, Saya,” Rin greeted back.

Mitsuba turned to look at her daughter. “Hello, Aiichiro. How are you?”

Aiichiro smiled lightly. “Good. Thank you for asking.”

The girl, Aiichiro, smiled at Rin. He smiled back at her.

He sat down next to Yuuka, and Saya and Mitsuba did the same. Saya and her mother had coffee for themselves, with Mitsuba having tea.

“So…did you guys plan everything yet?” Saya asked curiously.

Rin chuckled nervously. “
