Forged Soul

Chapter 0: Prologue

It's cold...

Empty...

Lonely...

Surrounded by nothing but darkness, it was an otherworldly abyss that no ordinary person holds knowledge of.

Shrouded by the everlasting pitch black coat of the dark space, a tiny little light is found floating around, showing a faint weak glow.

Flowing through the empty dark space, it floats around aimlessly as it's light is growing weaker and fainter. As if it was a little match that was about to die out.

However, before it's light completely fades away, a bright light was shone towards it, lighting up the pitch black darkness.

'Huh?'

'Where am I?'

'Why does it feel so...warm?'

A voice echoed as it came from the tiny light, it's weak voice sounds confused and tired. It became conscious as it was showered by a mysterious warmth.

As the bright light that resembles the brightness of the sun, shone it's bright rays towards the little tiny light, it suddenly took form.

In a blink of an eye, the seemingly small orb of light turned into a figure of a person. The figure floated gently while basking under the bright warm light.

The figure felt incredibly comfortable, her usually heavy chest felt light and her heart felt at ease.

"For the souls of the forsaken, shalt thou be given a second chance in their journey through life, for that is the regulations that revolves around the seven worlds."

A voice erupted out of nowhere. The voice echoed throughout the dark abyss as it held a magnificent yet soothing tone.

"Now, child of man, it is time for you to start your journey, I wish you good luck."

The echoing voice abrubtly said, he didn't explain anything as the figure was only left confused.

'What...?'

Before the person could say anything, it got sucked into another form of light and it's vision went black.

Back in the darkness, there was a mysterious figure, standing with a lantern on his hand.

"This child has suffered the most among the miserable and unfortunate. Her soul is like no other as her's is about to break. I shall hope that I'm not too late."

He whispered and sighed softly as he stared into the nothingness. His face covered with a white veil.

"In this place where life and death takes place, it is my duty to govern those two components of a thing called life."

He raises the blue lantern in his hand and blue flames appeared and made a path out of nowhere.

"As life starts blooming, it's petals will start to grow and blossom splendidly like a flower, but as time passes, it'll wither away just like that. For most people, death is the embodiment of the end, but that is not always the case. For that child, this is only the beginning."

He gently whispered to himself as he walked away, holding his glowing blue lantern in his hand and walked into the path lit by the blue flames as he disappeared into the dark mysterious void.

Chapter 1: Confusion

In a very prosperous land filled with riches and fertility, at the very center of the empire, there lies a huge castle. The huge majestic castle had white brick walls, red tiled pointed roofs and windows with golden frames. It felt like it just came out of a fairytale. Everyone envied the people who lived in luxury in such a wonderful place.

As the remnants of winter melted away, the cold shivering touch of winter left and the flowery arrival of spring has come.

The cheerful chirps of the birds erupted through the early morning of spring as it brought life to the peaceful yet silent morning.

The morning sun was emitting warm rays of sunshine, completely erasing the traces of the cold wintery snow.

Spring truly has come, and at that very moment, a special existence has been brought into this world as well.

Inside the big castle, in a certain room, a loud cry of a child can be heard. His or her wails permeated through the room, signaling that it was a very healthy child.

But what made the situation more astonishing is that the room was filled with loud gasps and wows all around the room.

"Your majesty, it's a lovely healthy girl!"

An old woman who seem to be a maid said out loud in excitement. Her eyes were literally gleaming out of happiness.

The loud cries of a newborn erupted throughout the room once more and the old maid cradled the little baby in her arms. She smiled warmly at the little baby girl.

And right in front of the old lady is a beautiful woman with silver hair and purple amethyst eyes. She was lying down on her bed and smiled tiredly at the old maid. She was tired because she just went through childbirth.

"What are you gonna name her, Your majesty?"

The old maid looked at the baby and then glanced at the beautiful woman.

The woman smiled and beckoned for her to give her the baby. The maid gave her the child and she gently cradled her in her arms. She looked at her baby and saw that she has her hair and the eyes of her father.

She has shining silver hair that shines like the moonlight and bright golden eyes that resembles of a yellow jewel.

"Her name will be Ivia Rozellete Leonite."

She smiled lovingly at her child, she felt her heart being squeezed by looking at her innocent eyes and rosy chubby cheeks. She caressed her cheeks and kissed her forehead.

Right when she's in her own world with her baby girl, she was cut off by a sudden shout.

"His majesty is here!"

One of the servants said out loud as he informed the people around him.

With the sound of his heavy footsteps, the maids and the surrounding servants bowed at the presence of the emperor.

As the footsteps came closer, a tall man appeared along with his attendants. He had dark blue hair and fierce golden eyes. His aura said it all, that he is someone whose authority is at it's peak.

"Sorry I'm late, did you name our baby yet?"

He said as he looked at the sight of his daughter, she really resembles both of her parents with her hair and eyes.

"Yes, I have. From now on, her name will be Ivia Rozellete Leonite. She's our very first baby girl, are you happy?"

The emperor smiled and kissed the side of her head before answering.

"Of course, I am very happy."

He said as he gently smiled. He was truly and genuinely happy to the point that he's over the moon. He always wanted a baby girl he could dote on. He's sure her big brothers will love her as well.

"But your majesty, is our daughter really from the legend that was written about in the prophecy?"

The woman said, feeling concerned as she stared at the man in front of her.

The man smiled slightly and kissed her forehead. He gave him a reassuring smile as he started talking.

"It seems so, and I know, I have to do something about that but don't worry, she's still our daughter so it doesn't matter who or what she is, her being our daughter is all that matters."

The royal family was known for not being able to produce female children, everyone believed that it was a curse planted on them. However, according to the prophecy long ago, as told by a legendary wise prophet, there will come a day where a girl born from the Leonite bloodline holds the power and the blessing of the God of Creation, Aerox. The royal family already gave up on the idea of waiting for the prophecy that has no guarantee of coming true.

But who would've thought that the prophecy would prove them wrong when they already gave up long ago.

"You know that the church won't leave her alone."

The woman said worryingly, she didn't want her baby girl to be taken away.

The man frowned at the mention of the church. The thought of them taking their daughter away from them under the pretex of taking her under their protection doesn't sit well with him.

The church was known for consisting of priests that serve God but as time passes by, it slowly became a corrupt organization under the facade of being a holy sanctuary.

The only reason why he didn't cut ties with them yet is because they still have a huge influence on the public citizens so he's always being careful with them.

He never liked them but it will bring consequences if he happen to offend them in any way. If they wanted to, they could start a war. But that would've been before, in the past, he would have still be in neutral terms with the church but now that his daughter is now in the picture, he wouldn't mind initiating a war first if they happen to do anything to his daughter.

"Don't worry, I won't let her get taken away from us."

He assured his wife, his voice was stern and serious, like a knight making an oath that he would protect her with his life.

He was always a man of his words so he's sure that he would keep his promise to protect their little princess.

As time passes by, the sun started to set, as it begun to tuck itself away on the faraway horizon. The dark calm night slowly creeped in, as the sun started to disappear.

The maids left to depart for the day and the only ones left nearby are guards protecting the room of the baby and her parents that are next to her room.

Inside the pink crib, the baby's eyes were wide open, she didn't cry nor did she squirmed relentlessly, she was just quiet as her expression was blank.

Her eyes no longer held the lovely innocence that she once had and was replaced with a mature but blank look.

The baby sighed as she stared at the ceiling of the bedroom. It seems that she wasn't an ordinary baby.

And it's true, she really wasn't.

~Flashback~

The moment she came to this world, she was greeted by unfamiliar faces looking at her while saying things that she doesn't understand.

But before she could assess more of her situation, her head felt dizzy and it felt like time slowed down.

As her heart thumped heavily, a series of unknown knowledge started entering her mind. Things she couldn't comprehend pierced her head like a bullet as she felt a sharp pain in her head.

She closed her eyes as she winced, more and more strange things kept entering her head as if it isn't intending to stop at all.

What is happening? What is all this?

Magic?

Elements?

Royal Bloodline?

Mystical Creatures?

Empires?

And....

As if a blink of an eye, she was back to how things started. As if nothing happened as all the people around her had not once noticed anything at all.

They were all smiling and laughing as if something joyous has happened. She felt weird seeing them all with their bright smiles and cheerful laughter surrounding her. She felt like she was the only one who's not doing the same thing as them.

The unknown knowledge came to her like a storm as it was all laid out to her like a perfectly detailed database. It was as if it knew how confused she is right now and threw her answers she never expected to get.

And at that moment, the cogwheels on her head started turning as she pieced everything together. And finally, she realized what's happening to her right now. She knew yet she also couldn't believe that something absurd and nonsensical happen to her. Is this a dream or a mere illusion made to mock her?

~End of Flashback~

She sighed as she felt exhausted just by remembering that situation. Even though she understood all the info handed to her, it doesn't really mean that she fully accepted all of this sudden events right off the bat.

She stared at her tiny little hands full of baby fat. She really did turn into a baby.

If Gods do exist, what was their motive for doing this to her? Why give her this chance? Did she deserve it? She just doesn't know anymore.

Just why?

Why was she reincarnated?

Chapter 2: A Hard Time Adjusting

It was morning, the birds, as always, cheerfully chirped as the sun rose up high in the sky. It was a peaceful and blissful morning.

Well, not until she found herself being surrounded by two huge boys staring at her. She was just stuck being stared at by these two while she found herself fidgeting uncomfortably. She was forced to endure the uncomfortable feeling due to their piercing stares.

She doesn't know how she ended up here at all, as soon as she woke up, she was surprised to find herself being surrounded by two young boys as they intensely stared at her.

The two seem like around the age of 5-8 years old. So they were all just kids, basically. So she didn't think much of them except for being just kids.

"She's so small!"

"Shh! Don't shout or you'll startle her!"

"But she really is small!"

"Yeah, I know, but speak gently. I heard babies are sensitive."

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

She looked at the two young boys as they were both talking to each other. She breathed out sigh of relief when the attention was away from her for a bit.

As the two were distracted with each other's conversation, she started thinking again.

The two boys wore elegant outfits and has a noble aura exuding on them. They don't seem to be just some random kids that got lost and ended up here.

And the most important part, she noticed that they all look like the beautiful silver-haired woman and the tall dark blue-haired man. Basically the same parents that cradled her in their arms during her first arrival here in this world.

One of them has silky dark blue hair and golden eyes, the exact replica of the father, while the other one was the exact look-alike of the mother with the silver hair and purple eyes.

It wasn't hard for her to piece it all together. They're siblings. It seems that they're her brothers and that she's the youngest among the three of them. She's still isn't sure if she has more siblings though.

Who would've thought that she would have siblings in this world. The thought of having sibling never crossed her mind.

She stared at the little symbol that was attached to their clothes. The symbol was what represents their family and she couldn't get over about something that she found out.

It was already three days since she came to this world, and there was one thing she found out about her family.

And that she's a part of the royal family. When she came to know her family name, she was shocked to see the moment she knew about it.

Leonite.

With the help of the knowledge given to her, she found out that Leonite is an Empire known for being a powerful country that excells in wealth, military, politics and magic. And that same Empire is being ruled by the Leonite Family, the family she's now born in. It's like the most perfect Empire that no one thought would exist.

She could still remember how shocked she was to found out about this. She thought she was just born in a normal noble family but who would've thought that it would turn out like this.

Her thoughts was cut off when someone poked her cheek. She looked at them and found them staring at her again.

The one that was poking her cheek was the dark blue-haired one. He was giggling at her and she just felt stuck again. She felt so awkward just lying there while they are here staring and playing with her cheeks.

The silver-haired one, also joined in, poking her soft cheeks while the person that owned those said cheeks was lying there, waiting for the day to end.

She sighed as she let them play with her puffed up cheeks.

------------

After the boys left, she was finally left alone. It was awkward for someone who is mentally older to be trying to pretend to be a baby.

She was the only one left in the room, as the maids already left after they fed her and cleaned her. She was once again left alone with only her thoughts.

As she breathed in, she started to collect her thoughts. As expected, it's still hard for her to accept her current reality right now so she still needs time to adjust.

Thankfully, since she's still a baby, she still have plenty of time to spare.

Truth to be told, she doesn't know what she will do once she starts adjusting to this world. She has already let go of everything when she died in her past life.

She thought that once everything will end, it will end and nothing can change that, but she was proven wrong given the situation she's in right now.

Will it really be alright for her to live in this world?

Does she really have the desire to?

Even though she already decided to let everything go the moment she accepted death?

...Does she really deserve this?

She sighed as her mood became somber. She felt frustrated as she doesn't really know what to do anymore. She feels pathetic that she can't make any decisions for herself and only kept asking herself more and more questions.

She stared at the open window in her room, it was still ealry in the afternoon and the sun is still up, she can see how bright and peaceful the outside world is.

A sight where she can't find in her previous life.

As silence filled the room, only the sound of a gentle gust of wind, and the rustling of leaves can be heard within her ears.

Closing her eyes, she felt the rays of sunshine seeping through the window, touching her gently with it's warm touch.

'Your name will be Ivia Rozellete Leonite'

A sudden memory came passing through her mind as she remembered the voice of the person that gave birth to her. Her mother.

She can still remember how she smiled at her so kindly and how she carried her gently within her arms. She felt warm as she was showered with affection that was so unfamiliar to her.

She wondered the reason behind the sudden memory of her new mother, and she might know why.

It was because she remembered how pleasently warm she felt when she was gently carried within her arms and as she smiled warmly at her as if she was the best thing that ever happen to her.

She's like an embodiment of sunshine.

Ivia Rozellete Leonite...

That's her name, the name that was given to her the moment she came to this world.

'Ivia...that's my name..'

She thought and felt her eyelids starting to feel heavy.

Her tired self drifted to sleep as she slowly closed her eyes. She slept peacefully under the warm touch of sunshine seeping through her window.

---

Meanwhile, in a certain office, a certain man has a deep scowl on his face. Displeasure oozing on his face as he glared at the man in front of his desk.

"What did you say?"

Clyde with his dark blue hair and fierce golden eyes, he asked the old man in front of him.

The man that was in front of Clyde seem to be wearing pure white robes laced with golden outlines. He seems to be quite important for him to have an immediate audience with the emperor himself.

The old man, seemingly unaware of the displeasure and anger in Clyde's face, repeat what he just said, completely unaware of the fire that he was continuously fanning.

"We want to take in the princess, your highness, as we have already heard the news of her birth, we need to take her in while she's still young."

When the old man said that, his face was showing an evil grin as greed was all over his wrinkly old face. It was already obvious of what they're going to use her for. Money and Power.

The man flinched when Clyde slammed his hands in his desk. Clyde was literally fuming to the point that he can feel his veins popping.

The audacity of the church to try and rob his daughter off of her own family and childhood! They dare try taking her away when she's still a mere infant?

He had the strong urge to lift his entire desk and throw it at the old man. He was feeling violent and was considering actually doing it. They were really eager to take away his daughter, aren't they?

But he needed to stay calm, this isn't the time to be angry. He has to do all of this step-by-step. If he's careless, everything will just fall apart and he doesn't want that to happen.

As he breathed heavily, he looked up on the old man and smiled as he pretended that his sudden outburst didn't happen, as if his veins wasn't popping just a few seconds ago.

"My apologies, it seems that I have lost my composure. It seems that I've been too stressed out lately with the amount of paperwork that I have to do."

Clyde faked a smile at the old man, hiding his murderous inner thoughts and the plans that he's meticulously planning behind their back.

"Oh, is that so? Hahahaaha! So that's why! Paperwork is always something we always dreaded and never enjoy."

Fooled by his facade, the old man laughed loudly as he brushed off Clyde's sudden outburst. He truly wasn't aware of the dark and frightening thoughts that was occupying Clyde's mind.

Clyde joined in the laughter as he chuckled lightly. The fake smile still placed on his face. His icy cold smile could literally freeze anything but it seems that the old man did not even notice. Is he dense or just a mere fool?

"Please inform the church that I'm thinking about it, as you can see, our daughter is still young and is still a part of the Leonite Empire's royal family and also the first princess of the royal bloodline. You know our family, right? The royal bloodline is important to us and it will be hard for us to let go of our precious daughter so easily. I hope you understand, please relay that to the higher-ups of the church."

He said as he smiled lightly, while the old man chuckled and grinned at him.

"Sure, I'll make sure to inform the church. We're expecting some good news, your majesty."

The old man left after that, completely unaware of what's to come in the future. Unaware of the dark future that will soon come upon the church.

'It seems that the church is truly a lost cause. They are nothing but a bunch of useless fools in that place. They were really bold to come in as they please inside my domain.'

He thought as he smiled ominously as his attendant shivered at the sight of him smiling. It seems his majesty is writing another handful of names in his list of targets.

Without knowing anything, the old man left like that without even realizing the hidden warning tucked underneath his polite words.

'The princess, will be, and will always will be a part of the royal bloodline. She belongs to the Leonite Family and no one else's. Disregard that fact and the royal family will be your enemy.'
