There was once an artist who was famous for her mysterious paintings. One day she suddenly disappeared like she never existed. Apparently she had no family, friends or relatives so no one really issued a search warrant. But her fans around the world did launch a search campaign on social media for her which lasted for about a month or so but gradually lost momentum.

This was a really famous case... almost every 1 of 50 people knew about it.

Many people also tried to solve this case but it is still a mystery to where Erica (the famous artist) is... and how she disappeared...

While trying to solve the case, fans noticed something really odd... the people in Erica's paintings existed in real life and had mysteriously disappeared the same way Erica did. The conclusion they came out with was that the disappearance of these people had something to do with Erica's paintings.

Soon a rumour began going around... it was about how Erica was a serial killer, and that she murdered her victims and then would paint them... with the blood of her victims.

Most people believed this because there was red colour in almost every painting... painted by Erica.

The rumour continued and it solved the mystery behind Erica's disappearance... it was said that Erica wanted to escape from the police and so she decided to leave everything behind and start a new life somewhere far away.

The loyal fans didn't believe those rumours and quoted, "Rumours are rumours, nothing more nothing less."

This case was so famous that it became the top topic to talk about at schools.

"Hey, did you know about the famous Erica"

"Yeah yeah who is rumoured to be a serial killer"

"Yeah, but did you know that she might not be a serial killer but a victim herself."

"How can you say that?"

"It might be that a serial killer forced her to paint the victims with their blood."

"Yeah that can be a probability!"

[ TEACHER ENTERS ]

"Study time! Enought with the talks."

Class president , "Everyone stand."

"Ok now everyone can sit, open page number..."

*period end*

"Ok everyone that's it for the class but don't forget to do your homework from page number 67 to page number 98."

"Huuuhhhhh..." "Miss that's not fair!"

"The exams are right around the corner"

"We can't do that much homework!"

"Let's start a no homework campaign!"

"It was a holiday homework students! You should have done it in the summer holidays, but still I will give you one weeks' time to submit it..."

"Hey Akira-kunnnn... let me copy your homework pleaseeee! I am in some real trouble!!"

"Alright... but it's the last time."

"Thanks man you are the besssstt. By the way did you know someone claimed to be Erica's boyfriend and said that he killed her with her own hands and that she didn't had anything to do with those peoples' disappearance."

"Oh... is that so. Not really into that stuff."

"Right that's to be expected from you lol."

[ Akira's pov ]

I don't understand whats all this craze about Erica's disappearance... maybe she was just tierd of her life and wanted some peace and all those people's disappearance stuff are just rumours...

[ Akira at home ]

"Akira... did you bought something online? There's a box delivered in your name..."

"Yes I did, where's the box?"

"In your room, if you want lunch it's in the kitchen."

"I am not hungry."

"Hmm... I thought it was to be delivered tomorrow."

*opens the box*

"What's this? I don't remember ordering a brush... was there a mistake?"

[ Later that day ]

Akira's pov...

I contacted the online shop from which I placed my order and they told me that the item was yet to be delivered tomorrow. It was strange... really strange....

Of course, I didn't open the packaging and put the box in my cupboard because I had to get it replaced... but now I am getting a little intrested in that box... I checked for the shop name from which the box was shipped but it was not mentioned and neither was there receipt nor had I payed...

Sakurevil - Have you sent the fragment to the chosen one?

Artkill - Yes, but I am scared... what if the devil Queen finds out?

Sakurevil - She won't... don't worry... Krampus de vil will keep her busy for the time being...

Artkill - Are you sure he won't ditch us?

Sakurevil - Come on he is my childhood friend!

Artkill - Alright I will believe in him this one time... Don't really trust the higher devils..

Sakurevil - Yeah yeah I know

[ Back to the human world ]

The next day at school...

"Akira-kunn thanks for lending me your work!"

"Be sure to complete yours by yourself next time."

"Yes sirrr!"

Someone in the background, "Do you know, Erica's brush disappeared recently... "

"Really!? Her brush? How did you know?"

"Apparently some fans trespassed her house to find some clues on her disappearance and discovered that her brush was no where to be found..."

"Do you think Erica came back to take her brush?"

"No I don't think so because if she would have came her obsessive fans would have definately noticed..."

"hmmm... another mystery..."

Akira, "Do you have a picture of her brush?"

"Yes, here you go"

[ Akira's pov ]

That's definately that brush... how could it be?

[ Akira at home ]

" Let's see... her brush's picture would definitely be available on net... "

"There it is!! It's the exact same as the one delivered! There's her name too... how could I had not noticed it!!"

* Akira tries writing something with the brush when he suddenly felt a sharp pain across his heart and collapsed, when he woke up he was not in his room... *
