I am so hungry but I have to hide here until sun rise or my master will beat me to death. It’s cold out here. If I don’t die tonight out of cold I will do my best to earn double of what my master asked me to make him happy. I will never help anyone again. I can’t bear the hunger and cold out here.

The sky is clear the stars are shining. Oh God please help me if one of those stars falls here it will burn for a while to give warmth. I wish upon you O fallen star fell to the earth. I am only nine years old, have some mercy on me. I saw my elders pray like that when they are in need. Who will be more needy than me at this hour. My thin clothes, bare feet, and hungry stomach call upon you, change my destiny. Come to me. You won’t find anyone else as needy as me. My parents are dead my relatives sold me to a man who want me to beg. So, here I am begging. Warm tears fell from my eyes mother father I miss you.

I stand up and put both of my hands toward sky. Come and take my life I have no reason to live. Ease my pain. Oh falling star I wish upon you.

Oh it becomes more brighter. Is it really coming to earth. Is there really a God. I think there is because it is really coming toward me. Ok I was not that serious. I don’t want to die yet. I want to take revenge of my parents. Please don’t kill me today. I was running and saying those words but that star keep coming toward me without stopping. I fell down. I can’t run anymore. I am coming mother and father to join you. I closed my eyes. Boom jezzzzz. Something hitted the earth but not on me. I touched myself I was fine.

I looked at the stone that fell from sky it wasn’t burning anymore. My eyes opened with surprise because there was no stone but a girl. She was burnt. What should I do now. Is she alive? I don’t understand what happened. May be I just wait here. I don’t want to get I trouble again. What if she is dead? I am scared but still I don’t want to leave her here. Did god send her to help me? Is she a star? I wonder if all the stars are human like her.

After thinking hard and long I have decided I am not gonna help her I am alone. I don’t have anyone there is a chance she is already dead. If I call someone for help I can get into bigger trouble. I am leaving I am sorry. I left her behind and keep walking toward the village. I keep telling myself I can’t help her. I don’t want to get in anymore trouble than I am already in. After walking for sometime I realized I can’t leave her alone at least I should check if she is alive or not.

I wasn’t able to leave you. You also look someone like me, alone. I should check her heartbeat. I can’t listen anything.

Ahhh something sharp cut my hand. My god what in the world are you wearing. Isn’t I am already in enough trouble. My blood fell on her hand. Suddenly she took a long and deep breath. What happened to her. I didn’t do anything I slided away in fear. But after that she was still again. Is she really dead now. I came near her again with precaution. You should be very thankful to me because now a days we don’t find kind people around anymore. People are cruel around here. I checked her heart beat again. It is beating now so you are alive.

I just have to take you somewhere else until you get better. There is a place in the fields where rarely anyone go. That place is terrible but it will keep you safe from humans and animals until you come back to your senses. I have to drag you there good thing is that you are not that heavy. It’s almost morning now I am leaving you here. Hey wait for me ok I will be back with some food and water later.
