“Have a great day at school sweetheart,” Rachel’s mom said.

“Thanks mom I know I will,” replied Rachel as she quickly slid into the crowd to avoid any unwanted attention.

She looked at the sheets of paper taped to the wall saying the class lists. She was put into a mixed class, with grade fours and fives.

“Ugh I hate being in mixed class the teachers don’t teach much but they give a lot of homework and assignments.” She implied as she slowly walked to find the class line.

“Omg, that girl is so short do you think she went to the wrong line?” Lillian quietly said to Julia.

“ I mean by how short she looks she probably did,” replied Julia.

The teacher led the students into the building and assigned everyone where to sit. There were five groups of tables, four tables for the grade fours and 1 for the grade fives. Time passed by quickly and it was time for the first recess. Rachel walked slowly hoping for it to end soon because she did not have any friends yet. While taking a stroll around the school yard a sixth grader holding a ball came up to Rachel.

“Hey! My name is Selina, do you want to play ball with me?” Asked Selina.

“Hi, my name is Rachel and I would be happy to play ball with you,” replied Rachel because she was lonely.

After meeting Selina, Rachel did not want recess to end at all she wanted it to continue for much longer, but sadly the bell rang. Rachel Dane to the class line waiting for the teacher to take them inside the school.

“Okay class today I’ll be starting with the grade fours lesson so grade fives can quietly chat amongst themselves” Mme. Lee announced to the entire class.

“Hey, my name is Rachel, I’m new here do you wanna be friends?” Rachel asked the other grade fives.

“Don’t touch or talk to her or touch her she....” said Lillian and the rest of the sentence was whispered into all the other grade fives ears.

“What’s wrong, what did I do?! Why do you all keep ignoring me?!” Rachel asked the other grade fives.

“Do you really want to know what you did?” Replied Julia.

“Yes, will you please just tell me?” Said Rachel.

“Alright I’ll tell you, today during recess you played with Selina,” said Isaac.

“What’s wrong with playing with Selina?” Rachel asked.

“Have you heard the rumours about her?” Henry implied.

“What rumours? She’s such a nice person how could she be as bad as you guys think?” Rachel demanded.

“Don’t worry that’s how I felt too when I first moved to this school, she also tricked me into being her friend so I can understand where you’re coming from.” June added.

“Is that really true? Tell me about some of the rumours.” Asked Rachel.

“ I heard that she pee’d in all of the schools water fountains, she pooped in girls washroom sink, and she also never washes her hands after doing anything.” June said.

“ I advise you to stay far away from her and take the first step by go washing your hands.” Lillian said with a face full of disgust.

Rachel slowly walked to the sink at the back of the classroom, she turned on the sink and washed her hands.

This is my first time writing something like this I hope you guys like it.

One week of school went by really fast, Rachel had made some friends and was happy.

“Okay class I have an announcement to make, the grade fives will be moving to Mr.Williams class,” Mme.Lee exclaimed.

“Yay! I don’t have to be in a mixed class anymore,” Rachel thought.

The grade fives from Mme.Lee’s class moved into Mr.Williams class, Rachel was put beside a girl that was crying.

“Hey are you okay? What’s wrong, why are you crying?” Rachel asked while trying to comfort the girl.

“My best friend and me are finally put in the same class and I got moved to this class,” she said as she continued to weep.

“My name is Rachel, let’s be friends,” Rachel said cheerfully.

“Okay Rachel, my name is Alice I hope we can get along,” replied Alice.

The following days passed quickly and Rachel had made more and more friends. One day she was in the girls washroom, staring at her reflection through the finger print smeared mirror, when she saw a tall girl with short dirty blonde hair walk in. They started a conversation and soon Rachel and Melissa became the best of friends without knowing it.

“Hey Melissa let’s hangout at recess together,” June said just loud enough so Rachel could hear.

“What are you talking about me and Melissa always hang out together during recess!” Rachel said back while she tried to control her anger.

“Well you always get to hang out with Melissa so I get to hang out with Her today!” June replied as she stuck out he toungue.

“ well that’s because me and Melissa are best friends,what are you to her?” Rachel asked.

“Sorry Rachel I kind of want to hang out with June today I’ll hang out with you tomorrow,” Melissa declared as she walked over to June.

Rachel walked backed to her desk as she dragged her foot and sat down. Two friends saw Rachel being lonely so they decided to go and talk to her.

“Hey my name is Laura and her name is Chloe, we saw that you looked kind of sad so we decided to join you,” Laura said as she tried to cheer the depressed Rachel.

“Thanks for coming over here to talk to me, that was just what I needed, some company,” Rachel said as her face finally showed a smile.

The girls spent a recess together and became good friends. After recess when the students went back to class something was going on between Rachel and Melissa.

“Hey how was your recess?” Asked Rachel.

“It was okay,” Melissa replied with a bit of an attitude.

“Are you Okay? Did someone make you mad? If they did just tell me and I’ll help you out,” Rachel said while she was trying to figure out what was wrong.

“I’m okay just leave me alone okay?” Melissa replied but this time sounding more pissed.

Rachel decided to leave and give Melissa some space so she could cool down. The next period Rachel tried to talk to Melissa, but she completely ignored Rachel so Rachel decided to ignore Melissa as well. That was how their first friendship break up came to be.

It has already been a few days since Rachel and Melissa have talked, and Rachel just couldn’t handle it anymore so she tries to muster up all her courage and go talk to Melissa.

“Hey, I’m sorry that I didn’t let you hang out with June at recess,” Rachel quietly said.

“Um it’s okay,” Melissa responded.

“So we’re good right?” Asked Rachel.

“Ya we’re good,” Melissa cheerfully replied.

And the two continued to become best friends again, they went to a fast food restaurant after school to hang out.

During the next few months this pattern continued to show and it was finally the end of the school year, but this time Rachel and Melissa didn’t make up before summer break started so there was two months of silence. During the two months of silence they both missed Each other but didn’t have the courage to be the one to initiate first. Time passed quickly and it was finally the fist day of gr7 at a new school.

“I wonder what class I’m in” thought Rachel.

“Me and Rachel are in the same class maybe we can become friends again!” Melissa thought excitedly.

They lined up for their class and started walking in, and that’s when Rachel started noticing him more. Well she did talk and play fight with him last year but she didn’t notice him much, but this year things started to change. They would poke each other back and forth, taser each other and play tag in the hallways and in class. Rachel may have started liking him without even knowing herself.

“Hey Rachel do you have a crush?” Asked Evelyn

“No, all the guys aren’t my type” Rachel responded that was what she thought but she never realized deep down inside she had a crush on Alex.

The year soon passed by and during the year Rachel and Melissa would go back and forth from being friends and breaking up. The year ended up ending quicker than Rachel would’ve liked. Finally, it was September again but this time it was the start of gr8, their last year at the school. Rachel ran to check the class list, she scanned the names to see if her best friend Melissa was on the list and also to see if Alex was on the list. To her luck they were both in her class and Rachel walked bursting with excitement. They still talked but not occasionally, the only time they actually talked was during band once a week after school they sat beside each other to share a stand. Alex would occasionally steal Rachel’s phone from her and tease her. They would taser each other and poke each other while the other person was busy.

“Give me back my phone” Rachel whispered loudly.

“No, take it if you can” Alex replied with a chuckle

“Alex! Give it back someone’s messaging me” Rachel said a little bit more louder this time

“Who is it your boyfriend?” Alex said teasingly.

“Ugh just give it back” Rachel said as she snatched her phone from his hands

It was Jack a guy in the school that liked her, but he liked 5 other girls at the same time. Everyone thought he was creepy because he would do all sorts of weird stuff that guys don’t normally do.
