My name is Sylvia Gray the only heiress and future duchess of the Northern Dukedom,that's how it was supposed to be because i was certainly the only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of the North.And we indeed used to be a perfect family but that's before my mom got ill and passed away...

Ever since then,my dad has always been lonely and depressed.We also didn't have time together anymore because he's always busy dealing with the monster beasts in the border and taking care of the Northern Dukedom,but we still had a good relationship that time.

Until One Day...My father suddenly came home and introduced Auntie Vera and her daughter Rica,and that's how everything for me collapsed...

"From now on they will be your new mom and sister,get used to them".Father said while looking and introducing them to me as if nothing happened.

"Hi,my name is Rica,what's yours?"She asked while smiling to me,i ignored her and asked my father what is going on as i was confused.

"What does this mean dad?New mother and sister?"I asked with a shocked and confused look.

"I'm marrying Vera next week"...He said coldly while staring at me with a cold gaze

And that's how my relationship with my dad got worse and i hated him for that.That time when he said he's marrying the commoner that he found somewhere,my heart broke into pieces.I could feel my hatred,sadness,pain,angerness and grudge arousing throughout me.I kept thinking why and how could he do something like that?!

"How could you?!"I asked furiously with a cold gaze,while trying to stop my mouth and body from trembling with angerness.

"My decision is final..."He said while avoiding to look at me

"Well i'm sorry but I won't let that happen!"I was so angry that he didn't even care to explain why he's making such a sudden decision.

"What do you mean?Don't you want your dad,the duke to be happy?Don't worry me and your sister will try our best to-"Before she could finish her sentence i shouted at her due to my furiousness

"Shut up!"I shouted while staring at her

"Hey you're being mean and disrespectful right now!"Rica said with an angry look

"Who told you to meddle with us?And what?Disrespectful?Me?"I asked to her

"Are you forgetting that you both were the first one to come here and ruin the mood!?"I said while looking at them while raising my voice

"Sylvia!Where are your manners?! Father shouted at me with an angry look,i was shocked to see him look at me like that for the first time..I was a little upset

"My manners?Why don't you ask your new wife and daughter that question?I know a lot of people like them,social climbers,gold digger and two-faced!"I shouted

I was so furious that i raised my voice without knowing that it would bring me so much trouble.

" That's it! You're grounded and prohibited from going out of your room! " My father angrily yelled at me

" Fine!! It's much better than seeing your faces anyways! " I shouted while going towards the room trying to avoid my tears from falling

" I'm so sorry my dear sylvia..but i have to do this for the sake of our family..." I uttered while i saw Sylvia going inside her room

" Don't worry dad! I'll talk to her and convince her that you and mom really love each other, i'm sure she will understand! " Rica said while hugging me

" She's right honey, i'm sure Sylvia would want her father to be happy right? " Vera stated while looking at me

"....You're right..." I said trying to cheer myself up still worried about Sylvia

" How can he do this?!! I hate him! " I asked myself while crying

Suddenly I heard a knock on my door..

" Can i come in? " Rica asked

I didn't want to talk to anyone right now especially to them, so i just didn't say anything. Suddenly i heard the door open ..

" Why are you here?! " I angrily asked

" My dear sister, why can't you just accept the fact that my mom will be marrying the duke next week and we'll be a family soon? " She grinned while speaking to me

" I will never accept that! And don't call me sister because you are not and never will be my sister! " I shouted at her

" Hahaha you're really funny sister, just accept the truth because even if you refuse it nothing will change the fact that we will be a family soon " Rica said while smirking at me

" Do you think i don't know your motives? I know that you both are just gold diggers and social climbers! " I exclaimed furiously

" Hmmm... you're so mean! But then you're not entirely wrong about that.. " She whispered to me while smiling

I was shocked at what she said, i made up my mind that i will do anything to avoid them from joining the family.

" You- " before i can finish the word she suddenly spoke

" Here's one thing i can say for you, you better watch out cause i will be the next heiress to the Duchy " She announced while looking at me weirdly and going outside

" I knew they weren't just regular commoners! Whatever their plan is, i will do anything to stop them! " I said making up my mind

" I have to tell father about this! " I said hurriedly while going out of the room

" Your Grace, I have conveyed to the Imperial Palace about the arranged marriage..The Crown Prince wishes to have a meeting with her highness in a few days. " Count Fivion explained
