Ube City year 2019

The place was surrounded by darkness.. no light no person none of them exists... she kept running in panic she sweats more than a horse could... her heart was beating fast her brain kept telling her to keep moving but her legs betrayed her "I'm Soo tired.. whoever you are stay away from me!" she said nervously as she looked all around her... she can hear a small sound of tip toing on all directions suddenly a hand of a shadow grabbed her arms and whispered to her ear "I will find you, you ate mine!"

suddenly she woke up to the sound of her alarm, she can feel herself breathing heavily gasping of air... "thank God that was just a dream!" she looked at her arms and there she saw a black like claw printed on her right arm "this can't be happening! who is that person?" she sighed and looked at the alarm clock 12:00 PM her eyes widened " OH Noooo! I'll be late for my flight!" she suddenly got down her bed to grab her bag and put on her clothes she ran down the stairs and fell "YIKES!!" shes scratched her head in pain "what are you doing?! hurry up and eat your breakfast dear you don't wanna miss your flight!" her mother said to her.. she sat down at the table and ate as much as she could then she kissed her mom and waved goodbye rushed towards the door and sat inside her car "remember to keep me updated once you're there! and be careful dear!" her mom yelled at her from the door "sure mom! I'll be bringing you some souvenir once I arrive home!"

after 8 hours of flight she finally got to her destination

"We are now arriving at Zulu Island, please make sure to check your belongings before you go out!" the pilot announced she got off the plane and waived at the cab , the driver slowed down to her and slowly pulled down the window "where to miss?" asked the driver, she pulled out her map and pointed at the red circle on her map to the driver's surprise his eyes widened and said "are you sure miss that's the place?" she raised her eyebrows and replied "yes I'm certain, is there a problem?" he shooked his head and said "N-n-no miss I'll take you there! it'll be a long ride please get in" she noticed he was rather uneasy and sweat a lot she ignored it being as adventurous as she is...she fell asleep

the driver stopped the car "Miss w-where h-here! I can't enter any further you'll have to walk from here!" she got off the taxi and as soon as she's about to pay the driver stepped on the gas and drive away so fast that she didn't manage to catch up "you forgot to take my pay!!" she yelled by the cab was gone... "great a crazy driver then a long walk" she walked down the narrow road she looked from left and right but saw nothing but tall grass and trees... she kept walking and walking until she could hear a sudden noise in the bushes..."WHO'S ThERE?!!" she stopped looking alarmed she took out her Swiss knife... when a person suddenly jumped out of the bushes..

A man appeared before her he stood nearly an inch taller than her wearing what could only look like a white barong and black pants his hair was neat and on the side.. he looked at her with a confused expression and scared at his surroundings.. "Paumanhin binibini, maari bang malaman kung nasaan ako?" [Translation: Excuse me Miss, may I know where I am, exactly?] she put away her knife and looked at him with confusion she couldn't understand his language and shook her head in a saying of no , the strange man nodded and walked away..

"is there a shooting going on? what a strange guy" she continued her journey till she reached a a mysterious cave and went inside it when suddenly a glow of light can be seen from the other end of the cave, she carefully walked towards it when she saw an odd looking rock she decided to grab it when suddenly blacked out..

she woke up in the noise of horses and chariot... "where am I?.. " she said to herself with her head aching.. she looked around and saw herself in an alley where all people are dressed in Maria Clara and barong and some are riding in chariot... she was amazed and in disbelief that a minute ago she was exploring a cave and now she's in another place...

she suddenly recalls about the rock she is supposedly pick up on the floor and came into the conclusion that she must've time travelled and that rock seems to have some kind of enchantment...to make herself look like the rest of the people there she quickly went inside one of the dress shops exit door beside her and grabbed whatever she could put on just not to look like a stranger she went outside

she looked all around and saw on the newspaper dated 1650...Manila... "OMG! I travelled way back in 1650 Manila!!!..

" but how do I get back?.." she thought to herself long and hard when a man went to her staring at her blankly... "are you okay?" she nodded and said "y-yes I am.. where is this place?" the man laughed at her "you're joking right? oh.. you must be a foreigner here, Welcome to Manila! you're right now at Barcelona street" she shook her head in disbelief "Hold on?? you can understand me?? I can understand you??" to her surprise she was speaking his dialect.. "

the man took off his hat and bowed before her "excuse my manners, I am Rudy, yes I can understand you and you speak well in our dialect, and you might be?..." she Courtney back and said "I'm Celise nice to meet you, uhm.. I got no place to stay for the moment do you know where I could stay? "the man smiled and said "well I'm all alone miss at my house you can rent the other room only me and my maid live there" she smiled at him she didn't know why but she can feel her ease with this person, it felt warm "yes please if you don't mind Rudy"

Rudy stopped a driver and told her to get inside, she looked around town in amazement, the street were wide people look so elegant in their dresses and girls "they look so beautiful... tell me Rudy about yourself if you don't mind I'd like to get to know you better" the man looked at her and said "well... I'm okay with that I guess... I'm a student, working student to be exact... I work as a photographer while studying, I dream to be the best photographer all over the world!" she giggled "well I'm sure you will, I'm ... a Traveller in a way but for now I'm looking for something ... " the coach stopped and they got down "My house isn't that big but I do hope this would make you feel at home" , "no worries! ! it's actually very pretty! I love simple houses like these" she said to him Rudy placed his right hand on his pocket and gave her a copy of the key to the house and map "here you go, a map and key , I still need to go to work, so make yourself at home, and there's food in the fridge too I promise to be here as soon as possible" and with that he ran out of the gate and left.. she sighed "now I got to figure out how I could go back and get out of this.. " she went inside the house and looked around a huge picture frame hanging on the wall caught her attention it was a woman in a long dress and she's got the feeling that she has seen that face before...

Though the woman gives Celise a feeling that's she might've seen before she ditched the idea and continue to look for some clies on how she could go back in the present time...

Celise then decided to leave a note and head out to the nearest library she could find, on the way there a girl bumped into her "Ouch! watch where you're going!" the girl rubbed her hand and looked at Celise in astonishment "I'm sorry I didn't mean to bump into you... I'm Celise and you are?.." the girl shurgged, Celise looked at her she seems to be around sixteen years old judging from her appearance she's petite with a curly short hair "I'm Delia.. what are you looking at? " Celise shyly went back to realization "oh I'm sorry my mind went off a bit" the girl walked away "well, whatever! I gotta go, a girl needs to work around here" Delia grabbed her things and walked away, Celise can't shake off that strange feeling about that girl..

a few hours have passed and Celise arrived at the local library, but she was unable to find what she was looking for, the librarian can't help but notice she seems a bit of an odd person..."Can I help you with something dear?" said the librarian, "well... do you have any kind of special book like machines?" the woman looked at her from top to bottom "a girl looking for machines? isn't that a man's job?" *can't believe this woman thinks only man can do stuff like that.. oh yeah old era people are like that* she thought to herself the lady went back and handed her 5 giant books about machines "what are you gonna do with it?" Celise was anxious to read all of them "I'm gonna show the world that women can also do a man's job" she snickered at the librarian, she looked for an empty seat and started her reading..

"Oh gosh I finished all the books but not one matched to what I was looking for... hold on, I picked up that stone.. then maybe, it could still be.. but I don't have any money with me I don't think they would accept modern money? I guess I'd have to bother Rudy to help me look for a job" she went back to Rudy's house and saw a girl cooking "It's you!" she was shocked to find that the girl was Delia, "What are you doing here?" asked Delia, "I was just temporarily asked to live here until I finish my mission" Celise replied Suddenly Rudy went in the house "Hey Celise? I hope you made yourself at home! sorry I'm late " she looked at Celise and Delia confused at their expressions.. "did you two know each other? " he smiled warily "yes we bumped into each other a while ago near the library... uhm Rudy you think you could help me find a job? you know any vacancies here?" Rudy looked at her and thought for a minute "I know a lot it's just that I'm not sure if you would like any of those... they are a man's job after all , you know.. hard labor and stuff" Delia hurried away with the cooking putting the plates and cups on the table preparing the meal "You may eat lunch now" they all say and ate their meal happily...

After the meal, Rudy and Celise sat down at the sofa and talked about the job openings he laid out before her all the jobs and asked her to choose only one "Well there's a lot of them *one news article caught her eye* what's this? a scientist looking for an assistant?" she thought this guy might be able to help her get her back in time "Oh you sure about that? it might sound like an easy job, but you must know a lot about some things..." before he could continue Celise thanked Rudy and told him she would get this job.

She rushed out and went to apply for the job of an assistant.. meanwhile Rudy and Delia "I can't shake the feeling that there's something off about that odd girl.. I don't even know why I helped her.." Delia looked at him "well as long as she doesn't cause any trouble then it's fine by me" she rubbed her belly and starts cleaning the silverware's and plates...*,why does she resemble Delia?* Rudy thought to himself...
