UBS Job

"I'm sorry miss, I'm afraid the position of project assistant has already been taken." said the interviewer

"That Okay." said Maria "I will find another job that match my skill."

"That the spirit." said the interviewer

As soon Maria walk out of the building, she bursts into tears.

"I can't believe that this is the 57th time that I got rejected." said a crying Maria

"Well I better go home and go though the want ads again." said Maria as she back to her apartment.

"Mom, I'm back home." said Maria

"So, how the job interview went." said Maria's mother.

"Well since you ask, I got rejected again because the position for the office assistant had already been filled." explain Maria

That when Mrs. Kobayashi came out of the kitchen to slap her daughter.

"Why did you do that for?" cried Maria

"That because you don't know how it is to be a mother of a failure like you!!" yell Mrs. Kobayashi

"I'm not a failure." said Maria "I did graduate from college just last year."

"It also been a year since you couldn't find a job to support yourself." yell Mrs. Kobayashi

"It not my fault, people keep rejecting me." explain Maria

"Yes it is." said Mrs. Kobayashi "You were always a disappointment to me. Why couldn't you marry that rich boy Kenichi from high school. If you marry him, we be living on easy street."

"That because Kenichi is a jerk and all he care about is himself." said Maria "Besides I don't want to relies on men all the time as I want to stand on my two feet."

Mrs. Kobayashi slap Maria again.

"Will you shut up about this independent talk." said Mrs. Kobayashi "If only your father was still alive today, he would've agree with me about you need to marry a guy to support yourself."

"How dare you!" exclaim Maria "If dad was still alive today. He would agree with me that i need to get a job and become a independent woman."

"You shut your trap young lady." said Mrs. Kobayashi with a more angry tone. "As long as you live with me, you will treat me with respect."

"Fine, mother." said Maria

"Because let me remind you that if you don't get a job by tomorrow evening, I'll throw you out." said Mrs. Kobayashi "I'll not support a free loading daughter."

"Yes mama." said Maria

"Now wash up, it time for dinner." said Mrs. Kobayashi

Night time- Maria's bedroom

Maria was crying on her pillow. Thinking about the awful words and pain that was brung upon by her mother.

That when Maria heard someone came into her room.

"Hey sis, what wrong?" ask Kyosuke

"Onii chan you're back." said Maria as she hug him.

"Ok sis, I could feel the love." said Kyosuke with a embrassed look. "Now tell me what wrong."

"It just that I been rejected again." said Maria

"This must been the 58th time that you got rejected from a job." said Kyosuke

"57, but well be 58 once I get rejected again tommorrow." said Maria "Because if I get rejected again. Mom will throw me out of the house."

"Don't worry I'll talk to mother and convince her not to kick you out for the 56th time." said Kyosuke

"Thank onii chan." said Maria "But I still need to get a job to support myself and to prove Mother that a female could support themselves without a guy to help them."

"Speaking of job." said Kyosuke as he reach into his pocket and pull out a envelope and hand it over to Mara.

"What this?" ask Maria

"A map to your new job location." answered Kyosuke "I got you a interview at a sport agency in Downtown Tokyo. You had to be at the place at 9:00 am. Sharp"

"Thank you Kyosuke." said Maria as she hug him tighter.

"Okay. It time to let go now." said Kyosuke

"Oh sorry." said Maria as she let go of him.

"Good night sis." said Kyosuke as he left Maria's bedroom.

'I can't wait for tommorrow as my life will change for the better.' thought Maria as she head off to sleep.
