Melissa's POV".

" I wake up to the sun light shinning through a window. Looking around, I start to freak out I'm late!.

"What? " I grumble out, tiredly.

My dad opens my door roughly and glares daggers at me. Suddenly I'm wide awake.

"Why aren't you up? Your step mom and I have been up since 9am. It's 10am. You know better then to wake up after us. " he yells.

I cower against the wall.

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again. I just had a rough ti-"

He interrupts me.

" Did I ask why? No. And it better not happen again. I don't care about what happened to you. I don't care if you have to go to the Fucking hospital. You know better then that. I won't hesitate to kick you out of my fucking house. " he turns his back at me and walks out of the room.

I wish he would kick me out of his house.

I sigh, get out of bed, and change into dark blue skinny jeans, and purple tank top, and pull a black hoodie over my head.

I slip on black vans walk out of my room, not wanting to be in more trouble. I quietly walk down the stairs, and into the kitchen to make breakfast I grab all of the materials I need to make scrambled eggs, and start cooking.

My dad and his wife walk in to the kitchen as my little brother and I finished eating. I stand up.

" how many eggs do you want?. "

My dad walks in front of me

" I don't want eggs"

" that's is the only thing I made we don't have anything else I can make. " I answer

He stares blankly at me, then smirks.

" find a way. " in a "duh" tone.

I just roll my eyes at him.

" I'm not going to make anything else. I already made eggs and I'm not going to waste it so either you eat or you don't. "

He looks at like I'm stupid then slapped across my face.

I took my bag and coat and stormed out of the house.

scarlett : " oh my god Melissa what happened to your face, did he hit you again? ".

Melissa : " I stood up to him and he got really angry and slapped me, I'm glad he didn't kick me in the abdomen like last time. "

Scarlett : " girl you need to report your old man, honestly he is getting under your skin he so horrible if I were you I would go to the police station and get him arrested. "

Melissa : " it's not as easy as you think, I have my little brother to think about anyways forget about my miserable life and tell me why were you blowing up my phone last night?. "

Scarlett : " oh yeah basically there is new hottie in our school he just moved here and al ready named the new captain of the football team and also the quarterback, violet is al ready throwing herself at him. "

Melissa : " and I thought you were calling me because you met queen of England. "

Scarlett : " I know you have your old man to worry about but it's time for you to put yourself out there and just be bad girl for once. "

Cleo : " which remains me that we are going out tonight. "

In case you are wondering, these two are my best friends Scarlett is the beauty queen in our group she has blue eyes, blonde hair, tall, skinny. And Cleo is your typical gamer she is soo good at whatever she is doing I sometimes wonder if she was under cover agent. And there is me brown hair, green eyes just typical nerdy teen. "

Scarlett : " did you get them?. "

Melissa : " get what exactly.? "

Cleo : " our fake IDs and you welcome. "

Melissa : " why do we need a fake IDs?. "

Scarlett : " because my dear friend we are going to the "kiss club " that is the name by the way. "

Melissa : " as much as I would like to go I can't, my dad will kill me and then kill myles after that, besides I can't go out in the night. "

Scarlett : " its fine I already told your old man that you have to stay out late because of a project that we are doing for science. "

Melissa : " you hate science and everything that is related to it. "

Cleo : " with that being said ladies it's time to dress up for our night. "

I woke up and I honestly didn't want to go out after last night but what can I say I have friends who don't take no for an answer I walked to bathroom I looked in the mirror gosh I look horrible. Oh shit it's 7:30 my dad will kill me I run out of my room an came downstairs.

Melissa : " dad I swear to you I didn't mean to wake up late-

Myles : " it's fine our old man is not here he went holiday in Spain with his wife.

I run with my legs aching in pain but soon came to a halt, clutching my stomach and wheezing. In case you are wondering what happened I got into a fight last night.

Eric : " God I'm so unfit for this and I barley ran for ten meters. "

Melissa : " are you all right? ". Then he looked up at me who the hell is this pretty weirdo he has pretty face but not too feminine he had nice dark hair and those eyes.. -"

fingers snaps before me " hey are planing to look at me all day. "

Melissa : " I'm sorry what happen to your face you look like you are running from someone, listen if someone is bothering you then report then to the principal. "

Eric : " listen mami I'm fine my face will be fine. You can go unless you want to make out with me. "

Melissa : " who are you? ".

"I'm your new step dad hi daughter " said Eric sarcastically.

Then the bell rings rings.......

Eric : " ****... I started running which caused my feet to make stomping sounds. I soon ended up running and stumbling in my classroom I tripped over the door holder and face planted right at mr Fitzgerald's feet. New shoes? I joked, seeing my reflection in his shiny shoes.

Mr Fitzgerald : " Martin..... You are tardy..... Again it's been the second day since you droped down to this class because apparently you weren't smart enough to be in the enriched math course huh? "

Eric : " **** he pointed how damn I'm then I suddenly see that girl from earlier laughing at me. Then I said " yeah..... Bout that... I started as I got up I flicked his head, " that makes two of us! I guess you are not smart enough to teach that class so cut me some slack huh?, by the way I was late because I was with her (pointing at Melissa) ".

Mr Fitzgerald : " who? Miss Phillips i see both of have detention after school today. "

Melissa : " sir that is not true I don't even know him I swear.

Scarlett : " sir I'm sure there is misunderstandings I don't think Melissa would ever do such thing. "

Mr Fitzgerald : " I don't care about what miss Phillips did but she was late so detention for her and mr Martin!!!!! ".

Melissa's POV......

I arrived at last because I had art there was 4 people in the detention room. It was Arjun an Indian guy who is always late because of praying with his family or at least that is what he says because he is in the football team, and all the guys in the football team party, have sex drink alcahole and for a very religous guy to do all that is just something else and there is Billie Davis a girl who can be beat the whole football team or the whole school, what I don't understand about Davis is that she is obsessed with horror movies. And there is mr jerk who accused me in the morning and me Melissa Phillips who never had detention in her entire life.

Mr brown : " welcome to the detention room miss Phillips, good thing is you get to choose where to sit.

Melissa : " thank you sir that is very nice of you. "

Then mr jerk chuckles softly and says " such nerd ". But I didn't care so I walked all the way at back and sat there.

Arjun : "hey Martin what's up with you and Phillips (in a whispery voice) ".

Eric : " I think she wants me, I mean she kept on giving me signals. ( in whispery voice) "

He suddenly got from his chair making his over is he coming at me, then he sat behind me.

Melissa : " I suddenly felt a cold hand under my T-shirt I moaned loudly, then mr brown looked at me with are serious face. "

Eric : " I wanted her attention I don't know why. "

Melissa : I looked behind to find mr jerk smirking at me what does he want from?, and then again he slowly moved his hand near my him making me jump. "

Eric : " do you like it I whispered to her. "

Melissa : " mr brown can I go to toilet please.

Mr brown : " no I can't let you go. "

Melissa : " please I'm desperate, I'll be back in 5mins please please".

Mr brown : fine you time starts now. "

I ran out of the class room breathless, what was he thinking about while doing that. "

Eric : " Mr brown can I please go to the toilet.?

Mr brown : another student is out at the moment , you will go when she comes back. "

Eric : " come on man you know how illegal is to tell a guy to hold his pee.".

Mr brown : " fine go, I will give you five mins. "

I ran so fast so I can catch up with Melissa. then I saw her going girls toilet. I went after her.

Melissa : " i washed my face and slapped my face twice what the hell just happened. Then he came in the bathroom, what are you doing here?. "

Eric : " why did you leave the detention room.?. "

Melissa : " I want toilet is that a crime now, besides you can't be here. "

Eric : " miss Phillips let's make a bet if you win I will do anything you want but if I win you will have to do anything I ask from you. "

Melissa : " before I do that I need to make a phone call. "

So I went to a corner and took out my phone I called Scarlett.

Scarlett : " hi this is Scarlett leave message. "

Melissa : " damn it letti where are you.? "

Eric : " what? Can you do anything without mommy and daddy. {In a mockery voice} °.

Then I got mad 😡 and went up to him asking him what is the bet.
