Rose pov........
I got out of bed with a migraine, I know I had a lot to drink yesterday as though my so called ex boyfriend had broken up with me because as he said “ I'm always busy and I never had time for him” well his loss but I knew he lied. He lied to me the real reason was he had cheated on me with a good friend, I saw but I didn't talk I just made myself a little distant from both of them. people can be really fake. That's not the point here, I wouldn't cry my *** over a guy like him, I was just with him because I felt nothing but pity and well, I was bored. The reason I drank so much was because I was leaving for college at noon today.
My mind was all over the place, I was sure I was loosing it in every way possible. I couldn't comprehend the fact I was eventually going far away from my parents. They both wanted me to go to the best school and that was far away from home. I needed to spend my time with them. I sprinted to the bathroom, immediately brushed my teeth and ran downstairs. My heavy footsteps coming down as my dad looked at me worriedly below the stairs. I immediately wrapped my hands around my father. “ I'm gonna miss you dad” I said with pouted lips. I was a daddy's girl, I love my dad in every way despite the fact he was strict and gave always scary while angry, he's still the nicest, kind hearted and wisest man. “ I'll miss you too, baby” he stroked my honey brown hair. “What's with all the noise?” Mom sticked her head out the kitchen door, her hair wrapped in a messy bun with a bowl in her hands. I went forward and kissed her on her cheeks as she smiled softly and returned into the kitchen with both of us behind.
My mom has always been the best to me. She's a really important figure in my life, everything she did was just for the best. The love my dad has for my mom was completely insane and I really admire them both. They have been together for 25 years straight and I'm 18 years.
Today I'll be leaving my amazing parents and I'll miss them so much.
We have been based in the US but we were citizens and I was leaving to my country. We all had breakfast as we chatted along with each other. It was coming to noon quickly, as the frown crossed my lips. It was coming too soon. Too soon and it scared me, I was excited but I was also nervous. I felt my mom's hand tighten around me as she squeezed me and whispered assuring words into my ear. We all went to the garden to catch a breath of fresh air before my departure.
I was finally leaving. I hugged my parents goodbye, my mom was literally crying which was clearly dramatic. My dad holding unto her whispering soothing words into her ear as I left them with a final wave. I was going to the Korea which was were my parents were basically from. I didn't want to go far away from my parents, they didn't even want me to but I insisted. I wanted to learn more about my culture and structure. I've been not been here a handful of times though, I've been here to see my Grandma who was currently waiting for me as the plane landed.
“Grandma” I screamed as I hugged her she was really beautiful in her early 60's. She was so agile and hardworking and most importantly the kindest soul this earth has.
“ My sweet girl” she exclaimed as I came running to her with my luggages. I haven't been here for over 6 years
but I can still remember the familiar smell of my Grandma. she smells of fresh daisies and coconuts scented body wash. I was currently going to stay with her in her home.
I knew Grandma was alone in her big home ever since Grandpa passed away a few years ago from leukemia at age 58. It was so hard on my parents and Grandma. So that's when I decided against staying in the dorm room.
“I miss you so much” I snugged into her as she hugged me with her tiny hands. “ I missed you too baby” she cooed. “ Alright, alright. I made you lunch baby. come on let's go home. I made you you favourite meal” she said pulling away. “ You remember!” I said astonished that she still had a vibrant memory. “ I would never forget, you made me make it every time with those puppy eyes of yours” we both laughed as we got into her car as the driver took us to our destination.
The car pulled up as the gate was rolled open. I had forgotten how big Grandma house was. I had woken up with the familiar scent of grandma and the way her hand stroked my wavy hair.
“ We are here” The driver said as he came to open the door for Grandma and helped her out. I looked around the surrounding. It's been a while I had been here but everywhere looked so beautiful from the Large garden filled with fresh roses and various flowers and plants neatly displayed at my left to the play ground and swing set at my left. I remember playing there when I was young.
Memories began flooding in as I reminisced when my dad and mom played with me. I laughed at the memory and I already missed them so much even if it hasn't been a day.
Some men who worked for my Grandma helped me with my things and carried them to my awaiting room. I informed Grandma I was going to take a shower to get refreshed then be down to have lunch.
