It's a long day , I have been in the hospital since yesterday... I'm standing and roaming around , but all the pain just fades away just by the thought of seeing a small smile of the patient.

Yes , I'm a doctor who has been in the hospital since yesterday because of my night duty.

I'm Dhara , 24 years old and working in a hospital . Are you wondering what my name means... it's a persian word which means a "GIFT" .

Yes ! My parents feel that I'm the greatest gift for them.

Suddenly a known voice called my name ' Dhara ! Thanks for your hardwork , u can take rest now.'

It's my senior Smith who really takes care of me and looks after me since I have joined this hospital.

I went home after a long day , took shower and came to the dining hall to have my dinner.

'Dhara how's your day ?' It's my dad and I'm his only daughter .

He is so excited to know about my day and listen to me . I feel nothing is better than this , having your loved ones waiting for you at home after a long day.

' Enough of your chatting , let her have her food in peace ' my mom said these words while coming out of the kitchen .

After some good conversations and dinner , I went back to my room to have some rest as I need to rush to the hospital again in the morning.

I went back and started to scroll my Instagram and soon sleep engulfed me.

Next day...

Dhara's POV:

As usual I wokeup at 6a.m and got ready to the hospital.

After getting ready I sat on the couch with my morning coffee and the newspaper.

This is my morning routine.

When she was about to go...

' Dhara , are you going to come back early today?

We are having plans to go to aunt Rose's house , Why don't you join us?' said my mom.

' Wow ! That's amazing , I would love to and will try to come back early.' answered Dhara and left with her car keys.

'It's amazing , I can meet Jack after a long time .' thought Dhara

Jack and Dhara are bestfriends since childhood and these days Dhara couldn't meet him as much as she used to because of her tight schedule.

Jack is a professional baseball player and he treats Dhara as his little sister.

Dhara's mind was going through so many thoughts of her childhood with Jack and was very excited to meet him and Aunt Rose .

Jack and Dhara used to attend same school since childhood and were bestest friends . They used to go to school together and go every where together . Everyone used to think those two were in a relationship , but he used to think her as a cute little sister .

But it's a long time she saw him after her college as there life paths have been different.

Now , he is famous among his fellow players and also among many girls for his game and also for his handsome face ...which is more charming .

Aunt Rose and Dhara's mom are best friends from there University.

She went to the hospital with a fresh mood and with the excitement of meeting Jack today.

Author's POV:

' Seems you are in a great mood ! Have a good day ' exclaimed Smith.

'Thanks Sir'. Dhara replied back.

As soon as she went inside , she got a call from the sister on duty from emergency saying 'there is a patient with cardiac arrest '.

Dhara rushed to emergency ward after hearing it as soon as possible.

Dhara's POV:

A fair lady with well built and normal height was on the stretcher , as soon as we reached there we have done CPR and admitted her .

She is still unconscious and she was brought to the hospital by her maid.

We are still with her checking her and writing necessary tests for her.

'How's my mom now?' There came a voice from the back .

As soon as I turned back I saw a tall man in his late 20's may be around 29 or 30 in a white shirt and black pant dressed formally with sharp attractive facial features.

I just got attracted to him for a second. Then I came to my senses and answered him that she is ok and needs few investigations to be done and can be discharged after this.

'That's a relief ! Thanks a lot Doc.' He said and went towards his mom who was sleeping peacefully.

Author's POV:

'Sir , I have prescribed some medicines and these are the tests which are to be done.' said Dhara and left the place.

Dhara got a bit attracted to that person and was thinking about who is he and all.

After her duty , Dhara was about to leave with excitement of meeting Jack.

While going out she saw the same person from the morning with a coffee in his hands and shedding silent tears.

Dhara's POV:

' I think he is the same person from morning , his mom is alright now., then why is this man sitting here silently and crying? '

' I think i should mind my own business ' and im getting late to meet Aunt rose and Jack.

but his attractive face has moved my heart and just dragged it towards him.

i went near him , and he was in the same clothes as of in the morning.

She stood beside him

" Are you the same person who's mom has got admitted in the hospital for cardiac arrest in the morning " said Dhara .

Author's POV

He looked up with his tear filled eyes and saw Dhara standing there beside him with a concerned look on her face.

He immediately hug her waist and started crying holding her by keeping his head in her like a baby , who cries by burying his head in his mother's.

Dhara was standing there in shock with a shocked face and with a confused mind.

She couldn't understand what's going on here for a minute.

Everything went blank for an instance and she is not understanding how to react and what to do next....

But she slowly took her hand and placed it on his head telling ' It's ok , everything is alright with your mom , no need to worry ' ...
