Sunlight filtered through the window. Today’s her big day. Maddie flew out from her room. “Good morning! Mommy, Daddy” Her parents where already sitting at the dining table waiting for her. Maddie sat down for breakfast but her mind was occupied with her big event. “Maddie finish your breakfast first. We can’t have you faint at today’s recital.” Her dad warned her. Maddie finished her breakfast in a blink of eye. “ Don’t be rash sweetie. You still got plenty of time. Have you memorized your song?”

Maddie is a six year old girl who grew up under loving parents. Her dad is a well known businessman in the city and her mother was a talented pianist. Her only dream was to become a great singer. That dream truly suit her for she’s a child genius in music a very talented one. Today is her first step towards her dream ,her very first music recital event held by her music academy.

  Today Maddie’s home is filled with her excitement. Even maids at her place are busy helping their young lady to get ready. “Sweetie I’ll drop by the event after I finish signing up an important contract. I’m really sorry but I must go to company today.” Maddie’s dad pet her head. “It’s okay daddy. Maddie is a good girl so Maddie is not mad with daddy.”

“ Hahaha indeed my daughter is the best. I’m really proud of you sweetheart” he gently kissed hi daughter’s forehead and went away. “okay sweetie let’s go if not we’ll be late” her mother hurried Maddie. “no driver? Are you the one driving mommy?” Maddie asked while getting on the car. “ yeah today uncle Roy is sick. Don’t worry trust mommy I’ll take you there on time” her mother chuckled. “ I know” Maddie answered.

It’s indeed a nice day for start pursuing one's dream but nice whether doesn’t means everything will go in your way. Maddie started her journey on this fateful day but she never knew what shocking and heart\-breaking surprises awaits for her. Unknowingly she’ll fall in to a cruel hands of fate Maddie set out happily to her recital event.

Maddie indeed is a genius in music her recital was beyond expectations of the judges. She won first place without any competition. Everyone praised her. Anyone who heard her singing would think she will be a great singer one day. Her future was indeed promising.

Maddie’s small heart was filled with pride. Today Maddie is twice as cheeky as usual. She was surrounded by group of admirers and almost looked like a queen. Well who could blame her? She has achieved the first step of her dream.

Maddie was little upset because his dad couldn’t made it to see her singing but she didn’t complained. Instead she was quite bold to ask her mother a request. An innocent request of a child “ mommy please buy me an ice cream from that new shop. Pretty please” She pleaded her mother. There was no reason to refuse Maddie although that shop was in another direction.

Today’s Maddie’s big day and she has won first place so Maddie’s mother decided to take her there. She turned the vehicle over but suddenly realised there’s a truck coming towards them. She tried to avoid crushing their car with that truck but over speed truck was out of control and there was no way to avoid the crush. Mother hugged Maddie who was screaming out of fear and closed her eyes. There was a huge sound and then everything went blank. Too dark. Very silent.

Someone whispers in a slow voice. The words were not clear but that low voice was somewhat soothing. Only thing Maddie felt was pain. She was confused. Her eyelids were heavy. She didn’t feel like waking up. Low whispers forced Maddie to another long sleep.

“She’s out of danger now. It’s a matter of time before she wakes up.” One whispering voice said. “Poor girl. She’s only six and now she lost everything" sobs. "please be quiet ma'am you're disturbing the patient." a new voice whispered in an imposing manner.

Another slow whispers of Maddie's grandma and the nurse probably asking forgiveness from the doctor. Then again Maddie was slowly falling into another peaceful slumber clueless of what's happening around her.

"Gina I beg you please don't come to hospital you know why I'm asking this please let her forget." the old woman who was sobbing by the Maddie's hospital room now talking with a young woman outside the hospital ward. This old woman in fact she was Maddie's paternal grandmother was begging while crying to a young woman who resembled Maddie's mother Tina almost in every aspect but she was not. Gina Tina's younger twin sister has come to visit her niece but Grandma is stopping her.

"Mom I can understand. My face it cause everyone sad but I just only need to see her once. I don't have any family accept Maddie now. She's...she's....." and Gina suddenly burst into tears. "Gina Maddie will be fine. Now now stop crying. You cried enough for a lifetime and it's already been four days." young man in black mourning clothes like the two women hugs Gina from back.

"Jason please tell her to let me see her once \*sobs\* just once then \*sobs\* I'll go... I'll leave here....." Gina wails in her husband's arms. \*sighs\* " fine just once before she wakes up" Old lady finally agrees to Gina's request. They all go back to Maddie's room.

Our little angel still in her sleep when her relatives visit her. She flinched as Gina kissed her forehead and burst out of room in tears while Jason hurriedly chased after her. Like the sleeping beauty Maddie was suddenly forced to wake up. She felt her head hurts and her eyelids were heavy that she's unable to open her eyes.

"Ugh...." she frowned her brows in pain, slowly opening her eyes. She is surprised at the unfamiliar scene and tried so hard to remember where she was. "Ahhh..." a sudden pain occurs in her head and then she remembered the accident. The truck which was coming their way and her mom protecting her.

Maddie straighten up on the bed with tears dripping out from her eyes and screamed "'mom........" or so she thought she screamed. Again she cried out "mom" but words didn't come out from her mouth. No matter how much she tried again and again not a single letter came out from her mouth.

Seeing Maddie frantically cries and tries to yell her grandma suddenly asked for a doctor. Maddie's doctor rushed in and checked whether she's okay. He took her pulse and nodded his head in a relief. Maddie still crying make her lips "mom" and look at her doctor in a questioning manner.

Doctor in his entire medical career was not in a position like this. How could he tell this six year old kid who was looking for her mom that she's no longer in this world? He looked so miserable trying to tell it to her without making her cry more she's now. Maddie is indeed a genius kid. Seeing the doctor in trouble and her grandma crying in by the door she opens her mouth and asks in a calm manner "Is she dead?" and then she realizes it. Her voice. She can't make sound. Her arm caress the bandages around her neck.

While the old lady still weeps and the doctor tries his best to coax little Maddie telling that she'll be okay and they can try a surgery to get back her voice and so on, Maddie keeps looking in to air with an empty look.

**Dear readers I temporary stop writing this novel for two reasons

I really want to continue writing my first ever bl novel so I am quite busy.

My laptop which I kept the draft of this novel suddenly broke down and I don't have any backup. I have to write this novel from the beginning and it'll take more time

I am really sorry but I'll try my best to continue this later**
