I was scared i hated seeing this, just wanted to close my eyes and not see this anymore. The village was burning to the ground..And i could do nothing about it. All i could do was watch, be scared and cry.

That was years ago, i couldnt do anything that time. But i can now and i wont let anything stop me, i will protect my village. at all cost…

“Soldiers go to the training area now.”

As we were on our way to the training area someone said outloud, “i dont wanna train anymore i just want something to happen so that we can fight!” It was a female, she was blonde very young probably unmarried and probably doesn’t have any children yet. “You want something bad to happen to the village?” I said. she looked at me in pure shock, “thats not what i meant! You know what i meant i just wanna do something interesting, you know?” She said. We didnt talk again until we arrived at the training area. “Soldiers get your dragons ready!” The general said as he pointed at the cages where the dragons were.

Nightfllier. That was my dragon he was black with beautiful shiny feathers. Some say that if you own a dragon with feathers it gives luck. Others say that the dragons with scale are the ones who give luck, but i belive its the ones with feathers cause they are more rare. “Im Aloea” the blonde girl said. “Im Vantoria.” I said to Aloea. She smiled and said “thats a beautiful name.” I blushed i never get compliments like this, i dont know how to react! “Thank you, your name is pretty to” I stuttered. Aloea and i never got to know each other, whenever we trained we just said hi and walked past eachother. Its nice that i finally know her name. “Do you maybe wanna hang out after training?” I asked, Aloea looked at me smiled and said. “Sure!” She actually wants to hangout, “im so glad i never had friends before.” Her smile got bigger. “Well im happy to be your first.”

“Here Nightflier take this” i said as i threw a fish at Nightfliers cage. It was dark and the cold winter breeze made my hair float. It was beautiful. “Hey!” I turned my head quickly when i heard the sound of a voice. Nothing was there? I turned to look at Nightflier again, and there was that voice again.. “boo!” I gasped as something touched me. “What the hell?!” I turned to look who scared me and saw Aloea. She had a white dress on that flotated in the air. She was beautiful. “Aloea what are you doing here?” I asked her, she looked away and smiled. “I could ask you the same thing.” We walked back to the cabins together. “You’re actually very nice,” Aloea said. “Oh?” Aloea smiled as my confusion grew bigger. “I dont quite understand,” i said confused. “I said you’re nice, I honestly tought you were a weirdo.” Aloea looked at me and said. “Dont get me wrong i was not trying to be rude you’re the nicest person ever!” I laughed at her. as we turned left the wind became quiet. “Well see you tomorrow! I’ll go to my cabin now.” Aloea waved at me as she walked away from me slowly. “Bye Aloea, see you tomorrow!” I had the biggest smile on my face as i walked into the cabin. A strong smell of fish came across my nose as i walked into the kitchen, we had fish for lunch, mom makes the best fish anyone could ever imagine. “Mother, im home!” I yelled as i walked into my room. “You were feeding Nightflier?” Mom asked me like she always do. “Yes mom i was feeding Nightflier, now may i have some time alone please?” I asked my mother. “Sure honey and dont go sleep to late okay?” I nodded and took out a book, it was about a princess.

Dear diary i was in a fight today, a big grusome fight i was about to lose my whole kingdom to the underworld. The nature gods got mad at me and punsihed not just me but my whole kingdom. They didnt deserve to die i did, all i ever wanted was a happy and peaceful kingdom but then i got this. A kingdom laying in ruins. I shouldn’t have said that the nature gods werent powerful, that they could never beat me or my kingdom. But they did. They opened the underworld as big flames came out of the ground. Big wolves came out from there with big red glowing eyes. I saw them all i saw them all die, get sucked to the underworld.

Hours passed as i was reading my book, i got so catched up in the book that i forgot about the time. It was 1 o’clock. I should probably head to bed, but one more chapter wouldn’t hurt nobody right?

“You look.. uhm.” Aloea looked at me and made a disgusted face, her expressions said everything she didnt. “Tired? I look tired right?” Aloea laughed, “yeah haven’t you been sleeping?”

Before i could answer the general interrupted us. “Listen up soldiers, today you will be flying a route.” The general looked at everyone and continued. “The route starts here and ends at the kingdom right beside ours, the queen of Rosenvalley agreed to a war contract which is for everyones safety. The contract says that if any of the two kingdoms gets attacked the other kingdom will help.” I like that contract it keeps both kingdoms safe, our kingdom and Rosenvalley are one of the kingdoms with the best soldiers.

I was laying in bed looking at the ceiling, it was greenish blue and was peeling of certain places. The walls were yellow and the floor wooden brown. The Castle staff were very nice and introduced us to the queen, every room in the castle looked very nice, fancy and beautiful except the guest rooms. I was about to go make tea when suddenly someone knocked. “Miss Vantoria Elise this is the castle staff knocking, we were just wondering if you wanted anything to eat or drink?” I stopped my action and replied, “you know what? I could have some tea.” I was about to lay down again when I realized they called me miss Vantoria Elise, thats a little too fancy for me.. I ran to open the door and yelled down the hallway. “You can just call me Vantoria!” The staff turned to look behind them smiled and nodded. “We will note that Miss Vantoria.” I smiled they insisted on still using the word “miss”. Still a little too fancy in my opinion but thats fine. I layed down and closed my eyes just for a few seconds.. Screams woke me up, what was going on? Suddenly i felt arms around me, hugging me tightly. “Vantoria help me! Ants invaded my room!” It was Aloea she was hugging me. What a scaredy-cat. “Ants?” I said, “yes ants god why does everyone ask that? Just help me get them out!” How does she want me to that now? “How am i supposed to do that?” I realized that she was still hugging me. “Aloea get off of me!” I yelled, her eyes wided as she realized how long she actually has been sitting on me for. “Oh gosh im so sorry Vantoria!”

She jumped off of me and sat beside me.

“Im so tired” Aloea said as she rubbed her eyes, “i wonder why i really wonder..” I said sarcastically she puffed me in the side and said. “You know damn well why im tired so stop being sarcastic young lady!” Aloea took a t-shirt and sat at the couch. “Im older then you, you do know that right?” Aloea smiled and said, “yeah i know but the word young lady makes a sentence sound more serious.” I laughed. “It doesnt really have the effect of being serious when you say it to someone older.” Aloea rolled her eyes and stood up. “Wanna go eat something? Im starving.”

Breakfast consisted of toast, eggs, bacon and tea. It was delicious so delicious that Aloea didn’t speak one word. The kitchen staff came and asked us if we liked the food. “Yes, it was very delicious!” Aloea looked up with her mouth full of eggs and mumbled. “Yes thank you it tasted very good!” The kitchen staff smiled and took away our plates.

“That tasted amazing!” Aloea said with a big smile on her face, “it indeed did!” I said and laughed. “You know the general said that we have the day off so wanna do something?” Aloea almost begged. We went down to the beach even tho it was freezing outside. The water was splashing against the big stones on the beach, the sounds were calming. “I love being at the beach.” Aloea smiled and layed her head on my shoulder “me too.” We stayed at the beach for 2 hours and headed home afterwards cause it got cold. “Sorry that i kept you awake all night Vantoria.” Aloea looked down embarrassed, “its fine and we almost got all of the ants out so no worries!” I said and smiled. “The idea of setting a trap was great just, put an apple on the floor cover it with honey and the ants would go to eat it and then get stuck in the sticky honey!” I smiled and felt very genius while Aloea stopped walking and turned purple. “Ants dont get stuck in the honey, Its not a trap its a dinner!” Oh gosh instead of catching the ants we made it worse. “Its fine, we can just call castle staff and they’ll fix it!” I said and ran to the castle staffs office. “We need help! Ants invaded Aloeas room, we need you to get rid of them now!” I yelled at the castle staff. They looked at me confused and asked. “You’re talking about Ms Aloea Gessele?”

It was the youngest of the staff that asked. “Yes thats her please help us.

“Many ants have invaded the room, it could take up to 2-3 days to remove them all.” Aloea looked sad as the pest control said that. “What now? I dont have anywhere to go!” Aloea said frustrated. “You do though, you can just stay with me” I said and pulled her in for a hug.
