Flora was a young and pitiful child who was born weak and had an unknown disease. She was barely a few months old, when her dad died in an accident. That poor child didn't even get the chance to spend time with her dad properly. Now, she only had her mom to take care of her.

Even though her mom took her to a lot of doctors, they were still not able to find the name or the cause of the disease. Nobody knew if the disease was deadly or not. Because of this Flora's mom had been worried sick for years.

Flora who was still a child had known about her conditions for a while because she once heard her mom and the doctor talking about the disease by mistake. Despite that she still tried to put a facade of a happy and cheerful child in front of her mother, so that her mother's smile could never fade away in front of her.

Flora was heading to her room in a rush, since her 10th birthday was just the next day and she had to wake up early in the morning to meet her friends. She went to her bed, pulled the blanket over her and closed her eyes. She wasn't able to wait for her birthday, since she was so excited about it.

It was really dark outside and then suddenly, it started pouring hard with strong gales which were making loud scary sounds. It started thundering too, due to which Flora wasn't able to sleep. Her heart started beating so fast and she started trembling in fear. As she was trying to overcome her fear, she heard some footsteps coming towards her room which scared her even more. She went inside her blanket to hide, closed her eyes even more tightly and covered her ears.

* The door opens with a creak sound *

"Aahh ...!" Flora shouted in fear. She was trembling even more. She felt like her soul left her body.

"Flora, my baby! Are you alright?" asked Flora's mom in a worried tone as she walked inside the room.

When she heard Flora shouting, she rushed towards the bed and saw her daughter shivering under her blanket.

"Flora, it's me your mom!" said Flora's mom as she moved her hands towards the blanket to remove it.

"M... Mommy? I... Is that r... really you?" asked Flora as she popped a lil portion of her head outta the blanket. She blinked her eyes again and again to check whether that person was her mom or a ghost.

Seeing Flora in that state Flora's mom started tearing up. She grabbed Flora and hugged her tightly. Seeing that it was really her mom, Flora also wrapped her arms around her mom and said "It's so sc... scary Mommy!" as she started bursted in tears.

Flora's mom put Flora's head on her lap and started patting her head gently. After Flora calmed down a bit her mom said, "Honey, I told you to wait for me and yet you came in a hurry knowing the fact that you are scared of the dark!"

Flora, who was a bit sad that she didn't listen to her mom was relieved at the same time because she no longer felt any fear now that her mom was there with her. "Mm... I'm sorry Mommy." Flora apologised to her mom in a soft voice.

"Honey, it's totally fine! I was just worried about you." said Flora's mom as she looked at her daughter with a heart warming smile.

Flora was feeling loved. She started rubbing her head in her mom's belly softly like a puppy. "Um... Mommy I can't seem to sleep anyways, so can you tell me a bedtime story?" asked Flora as she looked at her mom with her puppy eyes to make her accept her request.

While looking at Flora's cute pleading face her mom asked her, "Flora, you do know that it's already too late and tomorrow is your birthday right? You have to wake up early in the morning to meet your friends. Will you be able to wake up?"

Flora got lost in thoughts after listening to her mom's words. After thinking for a few mins she said, "Mommy, you know that I never break my promise and I've promised Lessie and Josh that I'll meet them tomorrow, so can you please just tell me one story?" Flora used her puppy eyes attack again.

Knowing that her daughter's birthday is just the next day, her mom didn't want to upset her in any ways.

"Only one story then, okay?" said Flora's mom as she maintained her serious face, so that Flora wouldn't ask for another story.

Flora was overjoyed when her mom agreed to tell her a story. "Yay! Sure Mommy!" said Flora with her eyes shining with excitement.

Flora's mom got out of the bed and tucked Flora inside the blanket properly. Then she laid beside Flora as she began to tell the story.

"A long time ago, there used to be a God who was hated by the other Gods because their thinking never matched. The God who was hated, wanted to create a 'perfect' world with no hatred or anything evil. while the other Gods kept telling him that nothing could be perfect in this world, but he didn't listen.

One day, he thought about creating another world which would be perfect and only he would rule there away from the other Gods. Although he knew that the other Gods would go against him, he made a plan to escape. He went to a Devil to ask for help. The Devil agreed to help him escape, but he wanted something in return. The Devil wanted to go with the God as he was fed up with the other Devils too. After agreeing to the Devil's request, finally the time came when the God escaped with the Devil

As planned, the God created his own 'perfect' world. The Devil and the God decided that if people chosed to worship one of them, then the other one would never interfere. This was done to avoid the fight between the God and the Devil.

The world created by the God was totally different than ours. That world also had humans but the precious thing it had which we never had was 'peace'. They lived together in harmony and everyone was being treated equal. There was not even a sign of discrimination. The environment was beautiful without any pollution or global warming. That world was simply a paradise which we humans dream of but never do anything for it. But there's a saying...

'Happiness never lasts long'

The God who was watching upon the people of that world was proud of himself for creating such a perfect world and perfect people. His love for those people started growing more and more, as he continued to watch over them. Finally, one day the God decided to show his love to those lovely people. He showed himself in front of them. People almost went blind from the light emitting from the God. After controlling his aura, God told people that he was very impressed by their behavior and the way they were living their life without doing any evil thing. He wanted them to wish for something and it would be granted. After saying this, he disappeared not knowing the price he would have to pay in the future.

Soon, people realized that their every wish was granted by God so easily. The one who were poor became rich and the rich ones became even more rich in no time. That's how the word greed came into existence in that beautiful world.

People started getting more and more greedy day after day as God kept granting their wishes. But it didn't take much time for God to realize his mistake. He never thought that what he was doing in tha name of love for those people, was making those people something else.

Then one day, when humans got bored of their normal, easy going lives, they wanted something fun and exciting to relieve their boredom. So, they summoned God and told him about their wish. This time God lost his sanity and went berserk. His eyes became red with rage and his aura turned dark. Atmosphere became chill and cold winds started blowing.

'You lowly creatures! Just because I was being generous and kind enough to bless you all with my love, you fell that low in you never ending greed? I even tried to turn a blind eye to your ridiculous wishes and expected that one day you would stop but no, your greed kept exceeding its limit and now you have crossed the limit. As your punishment, I'm taking everything that I gave you and you will be back to your simple life once again.'

God disappeared after showing his resentment towards those people. People were left totally blanked out there. They were taking their time to understand what just happened with them. When they finally realised that God was mad at them, they thought it was because they made a request that God didn't like, so they decided to change their wish.

They still didn't know, what their real fault was. They tried to summon God again, begged for his mercy and told him that they would change their wish. God, who was mad at them became even more angrier than before. Seeing that they still hadn't understood where they were wrong, God decided to leave them on their own.

After a few weeks passed, people were living their old life now with which they were not satisfied anymore. But no matter how many times people begged and cried for God, he never appeared. God's existence was gone like he never existed in the first place. People who were devasted by this, soon got eaten by their growing resentment towards God. They thought If God has left us to die, then we'll head towards the devil to survive.

The statues of God which were made as a symbol of love between humans and God were destroyed to dust and soon enough, they started worshiping the devil.

Unlike God, the devil was evil. He wanted sacrifice instead of their love. People who were trying to worship the devil the way they did with God wasn't resulting in anything. Seeing their struggle, the devil decided to tell them the right way to worship him. Devil's voice started echoing around people telling them that if they wanted their wish to be granted, they had to sacrifice their own blood.

People had already lost the their minds and were bored to death with their life, without a single thought they started murdering their own family members. Some people also brutally killed their own children. People were dying and the devil was having a great time getting all these sacrifices. Finally the day came, when the devil appeared.

'HAHAHA... I'm impressed, really impressed. You humans were so desperate for your wish that you went and killed your own family members. Impressive! Now, I shall do what I promised as you fulfilled my demand, but remember what's given, cannot be taken.' After the devil disappeared, people started dancing in joy. They thought finally, their wish would be granted and they were glad to worship the devil instead of God who left them to die. But their happiness didn't last long.

Soon, dark clouds started gathering in the sky. The beautiful environment started looking gloomy. Strong winds started to blow, filled with dust and an unpleasant smell. People who were dancing in joy began to worry about their situation because the change was so sudden. The air became hard to breathe and it started scaring them. People started panicking, they didn't know what to do. They wanted to run but they also wanted to wait and see, what was happening around them. They didn't have to wait for long...

One of them screamed, 'L... look over t... there! Something.... something is coming...' when everyone looked in that direction, their expressions completely changed. They were horrified as they were seeing their death coming to get them.

From a long distance, there were a lot of monsters heading towards the people. Those monsters were half human. Some had horns, some had tails, some had half animal bodies, some were flying. Some were same while some were different but the only thing which was same in all of them was their faces with a creepy smile and they all were as big as a three floor building.

People were standing stiff in their positions. They already knew that even if they ran, they would get caught and killed. They started crying and screaming for Devil's help, because they never even imagined that their would wish would be granted like this.

Devil didn't appear this time, but his voice did. 'Stop complaining, you fools! Who wanted fun and adventure? Go! Run now! Run for your life, you fools!' After hearing him, people told him to undo their wish, but the devil said,

'I already warned you all that what's given, cannot be taken. Now, have fun with living your adventurous life.'

The people finally understood that the devil scammed them. He never planned to fulfill their wish since the beginning, he wanted to watch them die instead. They started regretting that they let go of their dear God who really loved and cared about them. Their greed made them so blind that they were unable to see all that. They insulted and turned their back on the one who created them. They knew that they wouldn't be forgiven for that, but still they begged God for help.

God, who was abandoned by the people he loved, was still mad at them so when the people cried for his help, he turned a blind eye to them. He ignored and left them to die as their punishment for insulting him. People were running and yelling for God's help, but God had already made his decision.
