the voice of a man echoed through out a vast empty dark cave .

sigh~

that man then added after sighing

" yet ! ...here we are stuck with the guarding duty.... "

the black spacesuit he was wearing preventing from seeing his facial features,

despite having similarities with that of an astronaut. his, was clearly more adapted for land exploration , designed to give him the possibility to freally move, right now he had the apearence of a soldier more then anything else,

sitting on the floor, having nothig else to do other then voicing his dissatisfaction, seemingly bored and not happy at all with the situation he found himself in.

the only source of amusement he found to relief abit of his bordom was Watching and poking all those weird energy particles float around him .

he then added looking at someone standing just some meters away from him " you know , when he personally reached to me, asking me to join this mission, i sure didnt think i would end up like that. "

" it seems that you dont realise the importance of that spacerift behind us do you ? ! and why dont you stop complaining for a second, just take the fact that you got assigned to this role as an honor and a recognition for your skills ! " a woman in the exact same black spacesuit said to him.

" honor ? ! what are you talking about ? there is nothing to do here beside standing up, where is the honor in that ! and It been like this forever..... and my skills would be better of use out there. with the others."

the man said pointing to the only exist this vast cave had. he then added still on the floor, but this time looking at the seeling .

" you know what ! you ! " he said pointing at her before adding " you can stay here meanwhile I will be joining them."

seenig him as he was preparing himself to get up, the women said to him with an angry and annoyed voice

" are you really going to disobey the orders you received !? "

" hn?! why should I obey them in the first place ? " the man calmly answered her. in a half serious half teasing manner

"...." the woman was just dumbfounded with that answer

" aaaaa~ ....sigh ~..... you sure are no fun !! you know that, don't you ?! "

" What ?!.. fun ? You think any aspect of this mission is funny !? our top priority right now is protecting this rift, not having fun !" she said .

scolding him

" what are we protecting it from again ?!! beside us ! there is nothing in here....at least nothing you could consider a threat so sto... "

" judgement day " she interrupted him in a calme meloncolin voice .

"..."

these simple two words caused the atmosphere to shift .

" the day society collapsed....the day humanity almost went extinct....the day everything changed .... " she stopped mid sentence

" hmm ?! ...."

sigh ~ she sighed before continuing

" what i am trying to say is that this rift will perhaps be the key for all humanity to once again prosper ! if we trully are able to colonize this world.... it would mean a new beginning , a new era ... an era of peace. all those continuous battle for survival, those constant fightings.....us slaughtering each others for some meager resources....stealing, killing, looting, invading ... all these things that became.... natural, as if they always meant to be like that..... we will put an end to all of them. ...perhaps for us it is already too late and that we have no other Choices then to be ruthless and cunning if we want to survive.... but one thing is sure !... I dont want the future generations to have this life style....and this is our opportunity to put an end to all of it....to have a fresh start !! So please.... up until now this mission was and is a success, so don't go ruining everything by starting to do things on your own. "

the woman said giving him a moral lesson with a mix of sadness and sincerity visible on her voice .

"...." after her long speech silence once again regained the cave .

sigh~

The man sighed , then said rasping and whispering to himself

" so you are the optimistic type, but alas it a naive way of thinking ...you are underestimating human greed young lady. "

" Hmm ? Did you say somthing .." the woman asked him not sure if she heard him talk or not .

" nevermind, I said you are probably right, Just look at what we were able to achieve just by working together for that small period of time, imagine if all humanity was unified behind one commun objective. But I think you are putting too much hope in this world, it still could be too dangerous for us... "

he said in a serious tone . after that he took a moment before continuing.

" ...or perhaps... it.. maybe not ! this is why...." he said still serious. Making the suspense last

" Why what ?! " she asked eager to hear what he had to say .

" we need to see and judge it by ourself, how it is out there... Instead of relying only on how the others are describing it to us. So let's go ! " the man said looking at her direction getting up and getting the dust off his butt. then he started to walk away

" what?? Where do you think you are going ?!! did you even listen to what I just said !!?..... Here I thought for a second you changed your mind ! "

" hmm ? What are you talking about it for the greater good of man kind....." he said in a sarcastic tone.

" listen to you ! The irony on your voice is obvious! ... You know what dont disturb me anymore you can do whatever you want, just let's me focus on my duties " she told him.

Sigh ~

' ..at least I tried.. ' he thought to himself before then adding

" It truly not fun hanging out with you , or is it ?!..... Lets me guess you have no friends do you ? ! it is because you always way too serious and tense, "

"...."

"...the last thing I want to do.... is to talk about my personal life with you . "

" i knew it, i was right ! You dont want to talk, you dont want to have fun you dont want to do anything ... maaaan~ my luck is really rotten, if I know how i was gona end up in that situation I would have stayed on earth....**** that shit I am out, we live once right ! soo why not enjoy it meanwhile we can ! "

the man said. Preparing himself to leave starting to slowly walk toward the only existe .

" Your file said that your ability is teleportation right ? ! Just teleport outside see how it is and comback. Just dont take more then a minute."

the women said in a last attempt to stop him

from leaving .

" If it was possible.... you think I wouldn't have done it by now ? and it not exactly teleportation but somthing similar more like checkepoint... you know what that means right ?! well then see you lat..." But after taking only two more step a weird sound similar to an electric current started to resonate and echo all over .

*Tsfsssssssssss~

" What !?... What is happening ? Why is that thing active... Anna ! is it normal ?! ...isn't it too soon for that ? !.. " the guy exclaimed after jumping some meters away and quickly turning around.

" i dont know but that space rift is definitely not supposed to be reopening that soon, That rift was supposed to reopen only in the seventh days ! ... happy now ?! You asked for trouble you got them . " the woman named Anna said to him

" heen !! Are you blaming me ?!..." the guy said dumbfounded by how he became the cause of what was accuring.

"Anyway.. aren't we supposed to be the only team asigned for this mission !? or perhaps they are sending a rescue team ?? " he started to ask as many questions, hoping to get anykind of answers from Anna.

" How am I supposed to know ? I was only included on it at the last moment ! And the only information the higher ups gave me were the strict minimum. !! Anyway, we dont have time to argue ! Be ready for any eventual conflict."

the young lady named Anna said meanwhile jumping away from the space crack ! That they were seemingly guarding. taking as much distance possible from it

Upon landing some meter away from it she instantly raised both her hand into it direction.

" Anna, are you ready ? "

the man asked her, she simply nodded two time, still focused on that beautiful yet terrifying sight infront of her.

the rift was approximately 13 meters of tall and 2 meter of large. if someone looked at it he would think it was a gate to a sea of pure black ink .

" Good... "

the man said only that word before looking into the direction were some metallic boxes were laying on the ground, a purple energy surrounded one of the boxes before the same thing happens to his left arm, suddenly a big revolver appeared out of nowhere on his hand.

*Tfstsss tfff...

The accumulation of stress, tension and a bit of that natural human fear of the unknown the two gourd were feeling, that short moment seemed for them like it was an eternity .

"...."

Finally after that brief and yet at the same time long waiting , a hand started to slowly emerge from that space rift. then the hand grabbed one of it edges like it was normal to grabe the fabric of space it self to begging with ,

the rest of the body of a that person , started emerging slowly but surely ... Until that person was finally able to fully pull themselfs from the grip of that space crack.

it was a man who was wearing the exact same spacesuit then that of the 2 guards, the only difference being that it was fully white.

The first thing that person did was to stretch out.

and before having time to do anything else he found himself trapped in a transparent energie field .

" Jack now !!!!.... "

in an instant the other guard named jack teleported beside the barrier, then aimed at the intruder that was trapped inside of it, with his weapon looking like a bigger version of a revolver . And without wasting time said in a deep voice full of a murderous intent .

" stay still !!.. You move you die, you fail to answer one of my following questions you die ....assuming you understand what i am saying that is ! i need you to answer in order, first ..state the name of the place you are originaly from, second stat your identity ! and finally your goals, objective , or your mission or whatever the raison you're in here for ! ."
