"Roar" "thuuckk" a loud sound suddenly

came from another room where his mother was sleeping,

 He was studying in a different

room and became restless,

Many thoughts crossed his mind in a short span of time,

maybe she fell from the bed or a thief perhaps.

"Mom" he cried and ran towards the room,

He was shocked and horrified from what he saw.

 It looked like a place straight from hell;

blood was flowing all over the surrounding.

Stench which made him dizzy, as he was about to fall from watching that

horrified scene,

He saw three green figures covered in blood about the height of children and

each was carrying a sickle in their hands.

However, one of them had a human head in its hand and blood was dripping

from it like flowing water.

They looked like goblins in webtoons and novels.

 They were laughing loudly as if mocking

him.

As his eyes focused on the head, his body became numb and his

eyes felt watery.

 Rage that he had

never felt filled him from top to bottom,

His chest felt as if his blood boiled.

that’s what he felt while watching his mother`s severed head

and body with many stab wounds.

His eyes became red as blood. He grabbed his father’s golf stick

and ram into the goblins.

 As he went for the kill,

they threw his mother's head on him.

 He covered his eyes

with his other hand.

 “These bastards are smart,”

he mumbled while analyzing them.

They were trying to cover his eyes with blood or were

trying to divert his attention to kill him swiftly without giving him a chance

to retaliate.

However, he didn’t waver,

The one who had the head of his mother looked like the leader.

On his order, they surrounded tejasv and started swinging their weapon in a

planned pattern that could be used to corner someone,

He dodged the other two and bashed the head of the leader with his golf stick.

He swinged his stick until its head was smashed to nothing; now the

other two were horrified and backed off a bit.

He roared at them and jumped on the other one.

As he was about to hit the second one, the other goblin swing its weapon

from behind and tried to kill him.

 Fortunately, tejasv reacted on time

and it only grazed him.

He did not even flinched as if all the pain receptors were gone from his

body and he started hitting both of them simultaneously until they

looked like only a lump of meat.

When slowly the strength left his body, he came to realize what happened

today.

He was between this blooded mess and started reminiscing moments with his

mother from his birth and the conversation he had with her the last time ,just

about some hours ago;

"Tejasv, come lunch`s ready”, a voice that he heard since he was born, filled

with love and determination but after that day the voice sounds faint.

"Coming mom" he said. He went to eat lunch. His mother was

serving food,

  He still remembers how bright she used to be when his father was alive.

 His father died serving in army 7

years ago.

 From then his mother looked tired and

aged, more than her age supposed to be.

Today was another one of his unproductive day; the same thought crossed his

mind again today, about what he was doing with his life, a common person born in a

middle class family.

For 5 years, he was preparing for competitive exam for

government official,

However, his fate wanted something else and never crossed

his path to this day and wanted him to stay a pathetic and useless person his

whole life.

The only light in his dark life was his old mother.

 He never had a girlfriend

nor a lover neither he had guts to have crush on someone because of his

inferiority complex.

 The only one he had

was his mother.

Her tired smile was the only reason he was pushing himself to the limits to

gain success, to give her a life she deserves.

 A life filled with happiness and he

wanted her to be proud of him.

However, he never realized his mother was happy with living a normal life

with her lovely son.

Whenever he looked tired of everything and was about to lose himself, she

was there to support him from falling and  said only one thing and that was also the last

sentence she said today ,

 “Dont worry, your hard work will pay off someday and stay happy even if you dont achieve something big”

 “I am always with you”

“My baby”

 “Mama loves you".

Now she also left him and he is now standing alone

between all blood and flesh,

 As his rage cooled he

walks towards his mother's body and his eyes became wet, tears started flowing

and didn`t stop,

 He cried

"mom" "mom”, many times.

 He was calling his

only light in this dark world and now even that is extinguished.

After some time he calm down and started looking in his

house if there was any other goblin or some other monster still left.

 Now he racked his

brain about today’s events, if all this was a trick his my mind played on him

because of his exhausted body.

However, he could feel the pain from the wounds so

everything must be real.

 Then how did goblins

that are supposed to be in a fantasy world came here and even all the

doors were locked.

He went outside and was shocked to see that his house was covered by some

kind of transparent luminating wall from outside.

He went to the rooftop and same could be said for every building in his vicinity.

Transparent wall with light luminating from it covered every building.

 Everywhere in his field of vision was

the same scenery of hell.

Chaos, blood and fire that’s all he saw.

 Monsters roaming streets and he could

hear the cries of people from their homes, But that wall did not allow anyone

to go outside.

Every building was like a battlefield between monsters

sudden siege and humans.

  At 12 of night, suddenly a window screen

appeared in front of him and a voice in his ears:

"Congratulations to the survivors"

“You have completed your trial for the qualifications to

stay in this new world"

 “With this your

qualification has been proven and rewards will be given accordingly"

 “Every house is now a

separate territory and their inhabitants will be given rankings according to

their achievements”

 “Monsters that

summoned, were based on size of building and people living in it"

"So everything has been fair so far”

 “Those that are still fighting can

request help from others via checking their rankings and their performance through

survival video and request aid through chat function”

“You can also put a bounty and reward them accordingly”

“Killing monsters will provide rewards through system but by requesting aid,

rewards will be distributed accordingly”

“The rewards could be skill, item, territory, stats, coins and many more”

“Coins are the currency of system and can be exchanged with each other for

anything”

“So stay alive and the Next event will start after 48 hours and check the

system window for any help or queries"

After hearing, this tejasv go through all the instructions repeatedly to

understand everything thoroughly.

He realized that now the world is entering in a period of war and chaos.

These wars are between not only monsters and humanity but could also between

humans with different motives.

Many people who were thinking they should have been born in the warring

period will now start bearing their fangs.

Those with power, intelligence and instincts to adapt will rule and shape

this world according to them.

Tejasv said boldly to himself “from now on I won’t be the one who gets

hunted but I will be the hunter”.

The law of jungle will be followed again.

These are now the dark ages of humanity.

After the system announcement, tejasv started looking in the

system and tries to understand its functions.

Then he remembers “oh! Rewards’’

He checks his rewards

“Skill –copy and paste’’

Limit = 5 slots

What does copy and paste mean and what’s this limit for,

Does it mean I can copy something and paste somewhere but I

have only five tries?

“Isn’t this world’s shitty skill” tejasv said.

Then his attention goes to the skill window, he touches it

and its functions were written there.

“You can copy and paste other’s skills but you have only 5

slots’’.

“Now this sounds a bit promising’’ he thought.

What other rewards are there, he checked.

“Can enhance only one of the below properties

-intelligence

-skill points

-physique’’

So these three are the only things that can be enhanced by

the system.

Skill points seems to increase the diversity and control of

skill by the user. Physique seems to refer user’s body composition of fat and

muscles. It may increase agility and strength.

However, what is the use of intelligence, maybe it can

increase the brain’s thinking capacity and forming strategies.

The other reward that was given to tejasv were two battle-axes

for both hands.

He was conflicted about what property of his body he should

consider enhancing best for now.

He then concluded physique to be of great importance right

now because his skill can only be used after he meet someone, so skill point is

useless currently.

Tejasv considered himself good at strategy games, so for now

intelligence is not priority.

Therefore, he increased his physique because now he has only

axes that can only be used with great physique.

After that, he cleaned his house that was looking like hub of

blood and flesh.

He made a grave of his mother in their garden.

After that, he cooked some noodles to gain some strength to

stay ready for another fight.

While eating he was checking the rankings and videos of

other places.

In Most of them humans were slaughtered without mercy by monsters.

He could see every type of fantasy monsters and some even

have dinosaur like monsters.

The top ranking in the world was US marine base; most of top

rankings were military bases where trained soldiers stay.

However, those bases also faced slaughter beyond their dreams,

because the monsters were summoned based on buildings and personnel count.

Therefore, buildings with large population faced large horde

of monsters.

His attention then goes to his ranking that was quit high.

He was placed in top 100000s in his country and top 1000s in

his city.

This should be considered high for a country with largest

population and for a city like city A which is right below capital in terms of

size.

He was placed this high because of the skills he showed

while engaging three enemies alone and came unscathed.

He could also see videos of people still fighting monsters.

Then his window filled with many notifications of people

asking for help, many were even hidden while sending help requests.

However, many people even die trying to help the others by

putting a brave front or being greedy for rewards and fought monsters beyond

them.

Tejasv started thinking whether he should save someone or not.

Then a sudden bounty request was given by military base of

city A.

They were overrun by sudden attack of monsters and were

unable to retaliate with remaining survivors.

No one was ready to accept such dangerous bounty because

that military base is one of the biggest building in their city, which implies that

the monsters summoned there were of high caliber.

Watching army personnel die, tejasv remembered his father

who died in a brawl on borders while serving in army.

However, tejasv is not sentimental enough to not consider

the losses and success rate before accepting any request.

So he started looking for request with small monsters like goblins,

wolfs or some weak looking monsters.

After selecting all the doable requests.

He looked for his father’s gear from army days to battle monsters.

He found some guards, body shield and battle knife that his mother was keeping

as a memory of her husband.

Now he was ready to tackle any situation.

After that, he was flustered about how to leave house to

save them.

Then suddenly a portal to the first destination opened and

he was quiet shocked.

He understood from where these monsters were coming suddenly

in their homes.

The first destination was a small house with only one room and

a wolf looking monster was there destroying things all over.

The wolf sensed tejasv and took a battle stance within

seconds.

Watching it tejasv went for defense stance. He put one of

his axe in a defensive position and other one was ready to strike anytime.

Both of them were looking at their prey with heightened

senses. No one was even blinking and were gazing in each other’s eyes.

They both knew that the one who gets distracted would lose

its life today.

The suddenly an old women maybe about in her 60s came

shouting “you fucking dog’’,

Then she threw a wooden stick on the beast.

This distracted the wolf and with a chance given by heaven,

tejasv went for its neck.

He swing his axe as hard as he could and the next thing he

saw was the neck of the beast in the sky with blood all over him.

The old woman was quite shocked.

She was still shivering; don’t know who she was fearing, the

beast who was killed or the beast that was still standing in front of him with

blood on him.

Tejasv then said “grandma! Are you ok!’’

She was still stunned for some time and after another loud

voice from tejasv could make her calm.

She replied “thanks son ‘’

“I was in the bathroom then suddenly heard some loud sound

from the room ‘’

“I was afraid of burglars, so I kept hiding there waiting

for them to leave’’

Then she explained how a window appeared and she saw request

option and send it to everyone.

Tejasv told her to stay in house and wait for help.

Even though he knew that, no help may arrive and she may die

anytime but he realize a fact that in current situation he cannot save everyone,

he have to gain strength and skills if he aims to give any decent help to

someone.

After that, he asked grandma if she got any skill but she denied,

maybe because she didn’t kill any monster.

For defeating the beast, tejasv only got some coins and he

was not happy with that.

He took his leave from there and went straight for the next

destination.

That was quit big house for a family of five, which he

concluded from pictures of family in drawing room.

“Maybe they are quite well, off’’ he thought.

Tejasv looked for family members in ground floor but there

was no sign of anyone not even any monster.

However, he could hear some voices from first floor he took

his stance and started walking on stairs.

There he saw some human like monsters eating a body and many

were gathered outside of a room.

They were trying to destroy the locked room.

Watching them, the only word that came into his mind was

“zombies”.

While hiding and observing, He noticed their behavior was

similar to zombies he watched in movies.

They were only reacting on their basic instinct but their

senses were dull than a human.

However, their numbers were in twenty to twenty five, so

tejasv was wary of them.

He was even considering the fact about them biting him and

turning him into a zombie.

He prepared a plan and made a loud noise in ground floor.

Hearing the sound all zombies started running towards the noise.

In a room with two gates, he kept one open and other closed.

He stood near the closed one and kept waiting for all of

them to gather there.

He prepared a barrier of shelves, tables, chairs, sofa and cupboard

to keep their pace slow.

All the things in that room were sprayed with petrol.

He went outside with other gate and closed the open gate

from outside.

While burning a matchbox he took from the house he said

“hasta la vista! Baby!” and threw it in the room making a scene worth watching.

He was prepared with fire extinguisher to keep fire

contained only in one room for the safety of the remaining family members.

After confirming the death count, he went upstairs to check

family members.

Hearing voice of a human they opened the gate, only the

father of that family died protecting his family.

Others were safe physically but cannot be said same

emotionally.

Tejasv knew that it’s not time for this but he still asked

them for their skills because he have to keep getting strong.

However, looks like his luck do not wish for the same.

No one had a decent skill that he could even consider

checking.

From there he went to different places without resting and

slaughtered monsters like his arch nemesis.

Many people even aimed at him in fear because of his

bloodier appearance considering him another monster.

After fifteen or twenty quests, he was looking like a lunatic

who was out for blood.

His face could not be recognized now, his body and head was

filled with flesh here and there.

He was looking a monster who baths from blood and eats flesh.

Without him knowing, he became famous on rankings all over

the country and people start knowing him as “reaper”, who is out to have his

revenge on monsters.

He was completing requests as if he was possessed by some kind

of power from underworld.

Then he arrived at a place where he saw the goblins like

those at his home and their laughing voice echoed in his ears made tejasv out

of control.

He killed them in most painful way he could thought of.

There he found an infant whose parents were killed by goblins,

watching him tejasv realise he is also alone like him.

This made him remember his mother and bringing him back from

being a monster to human again.

He took the child and went for the childcare he just saved

and asked them to take care of him.

He also assured them about fighting monsters in their stead

and protecting that place.

Then he came back to his place to take a breather and relax.

He took a nice shower and slept for two hours without any care

in this world.

After a nice a nap, he checked ranking and videos of people

all over the world.

He was shocked to see that the world is going crazy now.

Many people were not only killing monsters but also human

that were only asking for help from them.

When others questioned them about their behavior they

replied by referring killing as fun activity for them.

He also found his ranking rising in this chaos.

His request notifications now were also rising and even from

other countries, he was requested for help.

Now he was in top 1000s in the world.

His rewards were also quit nice after all the fighting; he

even gained a nice skill “regeneration”.

This skill kept him from losing any body part from fighting and

regenerate his blood that was lost.

However, the only drawback is that he still gets tired and

needs rest and it cannot regenerate his head.

Nevertheless, this skill is a boon for a person with a

fighting style like him.

With the coins, he bought new gear for him with good

endurance,

He preferred axes as weapon but with more strength and

endurance than before.

 After the preparation

he said “now let’s save the military base from its downfall”.
