Tears streamed down a young lady's face like tap left undone. She knew that the light that had kept her from being swallowed by the dark was gone.

She sat on the cold floor as she stayed with her father's corpse, her knees hurt like hell but she couldn't find the courage to leave she knew that the moment her father was taken away it was over. Soon the night ended and the rest of the family came to "pay their respect".

"It's over now let's go back"said Qin Yumei. Ling Chuxi raised her head to look at the woman she once called her mother. Qin Yumei was a beautiful woman in her late forties her skin had a magical glow time had treated her well.

As Qin Yumei looked at Ling Yichen's picture her face was expressionless, she didn't look like a woman who had just lost her husband at all but for her she had been waiting for this day for as long as she could remember this man was finally gone.

Soon after, the man's body was taken to the cemetery to be buried and the funeral ended. As for Ling Chuxi her nightmare had just began because soon her uncle came to live with them because he said he had to protect them, with him was his two children a daughter named Ling Ruorou and a son called Ling Xiaoting .

Ling Ruorou really hated Ling Chuxi and she would yell at her every time they meet. It had been a few months since her father's death, the abuse that her father had once shielded she directly endured. She was treated like a slave.

That was until one day when her mother started to be very nice for no reason but soon the reason appeared. It was early Saturday and Qin Yumei had woken up Ling Chuxi because they were guests coming to visit them. The house was every lively as the maids walked up and down make preparations for the guest.

Soon the Butler came and announced that the Hale family had arrived. Qin Yumei said"Hello welcome to our home please come this way "she was very careful not to make any slip ups. "Good morning to you too thank you for having us" said Master Hale .

Master Hale was a very good looking man in his early fifties, he had a gently and soothing aura around him that made everyone want to get close to him. Behind him was his son Langston Hale he was a man that would make one run with just one look from him. He was cold and his face was always grim like someone owed him money.He was rumored to have had most of his business rivals killed.

As they all say down Ling Chuxi had a feeling that someone was glaring at her but she didn't have the courage to look up. Qin Yumei and Master Hale started to conversing with each other.

"As we already said yesterday on the phone we are here to collect the bride. We have already made a special reservation for the marriage.Astwo to get married after we leave here."

Master Hale said

"Yes we have already gotten her ready her bags have also been packed .She will be leaving with you like we said" said Qin Yumei.

From start to finish Langston had never said a word. It was like the people before him we not discussing his marriage.As soon as they left they went to the civil bureau to register their marriage.

When they were done Langston looked at his father and said "You are happy now I got married to the one you wanted. Now take it away I have to go explain this to mygirlfriend. I can't believe you made me marry that thing"

Ling Chuxi looked so lost she had her head down she never looked up. Even when Langston was insulting her it looked like he was not talking to her. She had lost hope since her father died. She kept telling herself that all her suffering will pay off someday.

"Like hell you are going to take her to you house that's where she will be staying from now on and there is no negotiations. If you ever do anything to her I'll make you pay."with that Master Hale turned around and left.

"I don't love you and I never will get that thru you head."He turned to the assistant"give her the address and cash she will get there on her own""let's go to Lan Xinyu's apartment" After the assistant gave Ling Chuxi the address they left.

This was the first time she had gone out in a while because while she was at the Ling house never allowed to go out and she did waste it. Instead of going to Langston's house she went to the cemetery to visit her father. She spent a while cleaning around the grave after she was done she sat down and talked a bit with her father before she went to Langston's house

When she got home it was late in the evening. She went to the kitchen and made some food for herself before going to the room the maid had assigned her. The room was better than the shabby closet she slept in back at the Ling house .She used to have a room back when her father was alive but when Ling Ruorou started living there she demanded that she give her the room. She was forced to give it up by Qin Yumei in the end.

It had been a month since she started living in Langston's house she was very happy because he didn't come back more often and the house maids treated her very good. She was happy that things were finally looking up for her.

It was that very night when everything changed. She was in her room sleeping when someone opened the door.

Langston crawled into her bed she woke up immediately "get off me. who is this?"she had just turned around that she saw that the man that had entered her bed was Langston. She tried her best to push her away but she wasn't too strong.

Soon Langston began to kiss her all over. She hated it so much she began to fight more the man got on top of her he stunk of alcohol. She didn't know what to do so she bit his lips till they were bleeding. He hissed at the sudden pain.

"please stop don't do this. I don't want to do this" she pleaded with him but her please fell into deft ears "You know how to talk why didn't you say anything when I was forced to marry you.You could have stopped this now my girlfriend left me.Are you happy now ? Since she left me now you will be my woman"

With that he forcefully concurred her body claiming it as his. She didn't know how it went as she had passed out due to the pain.

It was late in the afternoon when Lu Chuxi woke up the moment she opened her eyes she was assaulted by the bright sun she quickly closed them.

She laid on the bed her body was numb the moment she tried to wake up she felt excruciating pain all over her body. She screamed when she felt the pain.

Soon there was a knock at the door "ma'am can I come in"said a maid.This was the maid that she had been close to her name was Lily

"Yeah come in" she felt so weak that just those words tired her out.

"Miss it's time for lunch"Lily paused for awhile before she stretched her hand out "Master said to make sure you drink this "the poor maid was very uncomfortable saying all this to her.

Lu Chuxi looked at the pill on the maid's hand and laughed at how pathetic her life had been. She had never been embarrassed like this but even if it was so she still took the pill and drank it. She didn't want to carry that monster's child .

After taking the pill she asked the maid to help her to the bathroom and to bring pain meds. With the help of the maid she toke her bath and ate her lunch before taking the pain meds and going to bed.

It's was late at night when she woke up she could hear the front door close and the voice of that man coming up the stairs. The moment she heard it she pretended to be sleeping.

The man came in and stood at the door looking at the figure on the bed then he chuckled "You can stop pretending now I know you are awake".She started to shiver and cold sweat decorated her pale face.

When he saw that there was no movement from the person on the bed he forcefully yanked the blanket off her.She let out a scream. "You like to play game with me.okay. let's play"

As soon as he said that he went to her and tore her clothes off.She fought with all she had and she couldn't move him from. The only thing she could do was scream .The scream was so high that the maids on the ground floor heard her but they were afraid of him too.

This time she remembered it all because even when she had fainted she would wake up with him still at it . She hated her life all she wished for was that her father could still be alive then he wouldn't have allowed for her to suffer like this.

It was dawn when Langston decided to stop and go to his own room he left her spiralled on the bed with no care. Soon after he left she could hear the sound of a car outside.

Tires where falling from her eyes uncontrollably she felt lost and alone. Soon Lily knocked on the door and found it open . she pushed it and got inside the scene in front of her shocked her to the core. Her madam and close friend was laying on the bed ***** there were marks all over her face and body her body was motionless.

She came close to her and shook her only for her to let's out a heartrending scream and beg for her to stop.Lily had tears in her eyes as she looked at Chuxi.

Lily sat besides Chuxi and said some calming words to her to calm her down. When Chuxi finally settled down Lily helped her to the bathroom room to take a bath. She fed her some pain killers and tried to lay her back on the bed but Chuxi cried she didn't want to stay in that bed room.

So Lily took her down stairs with the help of the Butler to her room. After she finally fell asleep she left to go do the house chores.

Chuxi slept the whole day again and when she woke up it was the evening and she knew that he was coming. She called Lily and the others saying that they should have a family dinner and stay for awhile. They all agreed when they saw how desperate she was but she couldn't keep them long after dinner she had proposed so games and movies but it all ended.

People started to leave and she fell into despair Lily looked at her pained expression and was about to say something when the front door opened and Langston came in. This time he did say anything and just went straight to his room.

Chuxi was relieved but only for a short while because soon Langston came back down and said "what do you need me to carry you upstairs"

"No! I was still doing something with Lily".

She really hoped that he would believe her but Langston only turned to Lily and said "get out "

Lily stood up and fled to her room where she cried for being a weak friend.

Back at the living room Langston had asked Chuxi to go to the bedroom but she didn't move." I didn't know that you were so wild you want to do it her okay let's go " he stepped forward and yanked her to him and tore her clothes off she stood there *****.

Some of the maids had not yet gone to bed saw her they were not sure how to feel about it. Chuxi however could care less about them she turned around to flee but was dragged up the stairs. The staircase was made of wood so as he dragged her she was cut on her feet and legs and she left a trail of Scarlet liquid on the floor.

As soon as she got into that room she gave up she knew that she couldn't get out even if she wanted so she laid there and let him have his way with her.

This went on for a couple of months before it got worse she had tried to escape but was caught by the guards.Thats when he decided to chain her to a bed by her ankle the chain was long enough for her to go to the bathroom no more than that .

After been chained he became more rough with her he would whip her use a stick to wack her feet and so on. At the start she would scream but as months neared a year she finally gave up no matter how much he hit he she would never let out a sound.

So his stay at the house was less frequent except when he brought the women he wanted to have sex with. It was normally in front of her that he would have sex just so he could get a reaction from her.

Receiving on reaction he stopped coming to the house that was until the girlfriend he thought had left had finally come back .His girlfriend Shen Wenna loved the house that Chuxi had been living in so he went there to make preparations.

When Langston got home he immediately went to the room that he had been keeping Chuxi.As soon as he opened the door he felt cold air wash over him.Just as he had instructed the AC in the room was always blowing out cold air. This was one of the many ways he had tortured Chuxi.

"Still kicking I see" Langston said as he looked at the woman laying on the bed. She was no longer as she was her once big bright eyes had turned dull and lifeless.Her skin was pale and rough and what was left of her flesh was sticking to the bone she looked like a living skeleton.

Even though he knew that the woman would never reply he just wanted to hear her protest like before that was what he liked about her.

Langston took out his phone and made a call to his right hand man to come and collect Chuxi as he didn't want her to be around when his girlfriend arrived.

Soon Chu Yan Langston's right hand man and assistant came with a few of his trusted men to help move Chuxi to a more secure location.

Although she didn't put a fight while been manhandled by them it was only later in the afternoon that they finally managed to get her in the back of the van.

Lily the maid who had been taking care of Chuxi looked down from the balcony to see as Chuxi was put in the back of the van. She cursed at herself because she had been too weak to help Chuxi all this time and now they were taking her to God knows where.

Langston called Chu Yan to his office to discuss about the business deal that they had been working on his face was devoid of any emotion his eyes cold as he asked "Is it going to be possible to aquire that piece of land "

At this moment Chu Yan decided to bite the bullet and give an answer that even he was not sure of "Yes sir I have deployed some men to keep an eye on the bid of other companies to ensure that the project is a success."

When Langston heard the answer his face turned darker and he asked " Is Gu Ting Bai also bidding on that land".

"Yes sir he is."Chu Yan kept his head down because no matter how he looked at it he knew that Mr Bai was going to win the land.Mr Bai had always been formidable he always got what he wanted and even Langston was afraid of him.

"You still haven't found anything about the person behind him "

"No sir everytime the hackers think they found something their computers are attacked by viruses. Also we have tried following him but he only goes from his office to his house, there are no other from him.Those who have been watching his house say that there is no one who has entered his house."

After the short meeting with his boss Chu Yan and his team made their way to the safe house. It had been awhile since they had been on the road before he realized that there was a car following behind them discreetly.

"We are been followed make sure you lose them".Chu Yan said to the driver.

"Yes boss" just as the driver replied another truck came out of nowhere and hit their van head on . The scene turned chaotic as the truck continued to push the van off the bridge.

Chu Yan and some of his team managed to jump off the van.The only ones left in the van was Chuxi who was in the back and the driver because his legs got stuck.

Just as the van had only 3 wheels left the back door opened and Chuxi fell into the water.Soon after the van also followed and fell into the river.

In a totally different country a majestic mansion stood on top of a hill it looked very peaceful but tonight it was everything but peaceful.

The smell of blood, gunpowder and death filled the air. Shouts and screams blended well with the sound of gunshots. Smoke rose in the night sky like a blanket obscuring the moon and the stars.

On the other side was a young lady wearing a black outfit her face was covered in blood whether it was hers or the enemies was unknown.Although she was surrounded by both dead and alive enemies her face was detached and expressionless.

She moved to higher ground up the stairs of the mansion she had been staying in. From there she could see that the enemy had succeeded in annihilating all of her close team members.

As she turned she saw her most trusted man the one she had even appointed as her right hand man getting out of a van with the leader of the enemy group. Just as she was about to move the man turned and looked up and their eyes meet his face had an evil smirk and murderous eyes on it while hers was blank.

One of the enemy man called to their boss" boss we found her "as they dragged her over. She had already sustained a bullet wound on the shoulder and leg .As they put her down Infront of the man she knew very well .This man was one of her brother's most dangerous enemy. The man smirked before he ordered his man to finish her off. Bullets riddled her body as scarlett blood splattered all over her body fell.

As she fell she looked at the man she had one trusted with her life and smiled as she remembers her bother once say "Don't ever trust anyone it's one man one mission. Everyone is an enemy".

"I forgot brother" she said as she took her last breath and the house she was in exploded.
