In the vastness space of nothingness, not even a single sparks of light, there were two children, one at the very top and one at the very bottom. The one at the top is a girl called Gaia. She is a curious child, floating around the nothingness trying to discover new things that are not nothing. On the other hand, the one at the bottom is a boy called Hades. He is not as curious nor active as Gaia as he spends most of the days sleeping at the bottom of nothingness.

As many millennia have passed, Gaia did not discover anything new, all she sees was nothingness. Got bored of keep finding nothingness, she gave up the search and lie down. She looked up and then an idea hit her, “ Why not I just make some!”

She sits up straight, closes her eyes, raises both palms close to her chest, took a deep breath and concentrate her thinking on her palms. Grey small sparks started to form around her palms then all the sparks float towards the middle of both of her palms. The sparks then form into a small grey flame.

Gaia opened her eyes and couldn’t believe what she did. " I made something!", she thought to herself. She smiled at the grey flame and raises her palms closer to her face to observe it. Suddenly a pair of curious black beady eyes appeared on it. It looks at Gaia say, “Gui?”. Gaia was surprised by the grey flame speaking to her and released both of her palms to cover her eyes.

“Gui Gui?”, the grey flame float closer to Gaia’s cover eyes. Gaia took a peek, the grey flame was looking at Gaia with laughing eyes. Gaia slowly removes her hands off her eyes and said, “Hello?”.

“Gui!” The small grey flame replied and spun around Gaia. Gaia started to smile again and spin with the grey flame. Then another idea pop into her mind. She stops spinning and asked, “More friends?”. The small grey flame stop spinning around Gaia, float towards her face, stopped in front of her eyes and nodded.

“Okay!”, Gaia replied with a smile and raises both palms close to her chest, closes her eyes and concentrate. This time, white small sparks started to form around her palms and form into a small white flame. Gaia opened her eyes and looked at the small white flame. The small grey flame float towards the white flame.

“Gui?” it asked the white flame.

The white flame opened its black beady eyes and looked at the grey flame. “Wui?”, it replied.

“Gui.” the grey flames replied.

The white flames then looked at Gaia, floats upwards to her face and said, “Wui.”.

Gaia replied with a “Hello” and asked “More friends?”.

The grey flame floats upwards, stopped beside the white flame and both of them nodded. Gaia smiled back at them and start to make more friends. In a blink of an eye, she made so many new friends that she couldn’t keep track who is who. All of them were floating around her and she noticed that they glow.

"Hmmm..." Gaia wondered and closes her eyes, raises both of her hand above her head and concentrates.

Red, orange and yellow small sparks started to form around her palms, it floats above her and forms a small bright orange ball.  As the sparks keep floats above her, the ball gets bigger and bigger.

“MUI MUI!” the grey flame exclaimed.

Gaia stop what she was doing and replied, “Yes?”.

She opened her and was shocked at what she created, a tremendous bright orange ball. The ball was so big and so bright that it lighted up the whole vastness space of nothingness. It was the first time that Gaia saw something this bright and was fascinated by it.

As the bright orange ball slowly lights up the whole of nothingness, it reaches where Hades was and was awoken by it. He sits upright, with a drowsy face, gently rubs his right eye with his right hand and yawned. He looked around. The once darkness he knew about was filled with something different, something bright.

"What?", he said confusedly, trying to touch the light with both of his hands. Couldn't feel anything, he swang both of his arms vigorously.

"ARGH!” he shouted angrily, “WHAT IS THIS... THIS THING?", trying his best to touch the weird light which woke him up from his deep slumber.

Moments later he lashes out an angry sigh and stops what he was doing to catch his breath. He crossed his arms and closed his eyes, trying to figure out where this weird light came from.

"Hmmm", he mumbled, tilting his head to the right.

"Ummm", he said, tilting his head to the left.

"Emmm", he said loudly, tilting his head to the right again.

"ARGHHHH", he yelled as he scratches his head angrily.

"I give up.", Hades let out another sigh, lies down on his back and looked up.

“What could it b… wait a minute! what is that?” he blurted out as noticed something weird, something strange, something he never sees before. He stood up, squeezed his eyes to take a better look. It was a tiny circle but he could see its colour, a tiny orange coloured circle. Hades tilt his head to the right as his right hand is scratching his head lightly, wondering what that strange orange coloured ball is.

The earlier memory he could remember was looked around where he was now, saw nothing but darkness, got bored and fell into a deep slumber. But due to the strange tiny ball, curious and enough with guessing what it was, Hades made a decision that he never thought of many centuries ago, leaving the spot where he is right now.

“Ok. I can do this.” He said excited and flew up a few centimetres, but stopped and looked down on the spot he was on for many centuries.

“But…” flew back down to the spot. Then he looked up again, his curiosity grows.

“But but…” and flew back up to where he was. Hades then repeatedly flew up and down for a few minutes before forcing himself to fly up a little more than before.

He stopped for the one last time, looked down on to the spot, felt a little tinkly feeling on his chest. Clenching both of his fists, he looked away while saying goodbye softly before continuing his journey to where the strange orange coloured ball is.

As he flew closer and closer to the tiny ball he was so curious about, his curiosity becomes excitement and fear. He wondered to himself, maybe it’s something dangerous and he shouldn’t be close to it but the excitement of not knowing what it is kept him from flying back to the spot where he used to be.
