chapter 1/ She's a ghost

So, here's how it is.

I suddenly had this strong urge to write a mafia story.

and I literally have no idea what I'm doing.
I'm coming up with things to write as I'm writing them.

anyway, I won't waste your time.
A young woman slipped past the hallway so fast and quiet she could easily be mistaken for a shadow, as she avoided every camera skillfully.
she stepped into an empty room.
She then opened her bag and pulled out a nurse outfit.
she slipped into the uniform and applied a few layers of make up on her face.
She left the room and walked down the hallway as if she's been working there her whole life.
She stopped in front of a guarded room.
There were two bodyguards standing by the doorway.
They watched the woman before them with careful eyes. She was wearing a lot of layers of makeup that made it nearly impossible to guess how she looked without her makeup.
The woman smiled sweetly at them,
Didiane
I'm here to give Mr. Vice president some painkillers.
She then showed the vial that she was holding to the guards.
They examined the vial. When they made sure that it was not poison or anything harmful, they let her in.
One of the bodyguards followed her in, in case she had any funny ideas of hurting the vice president.
Didiane
Hello, Mr. Vice president. I'm here to give you pain killers. that was quite an accident you had.
Target (male)
Oh, yes. I can really use some painkillers right now.
Didiane smiled and walked up the the vice president's bed
She drew medicine out of the vial slowly, using a syringe and tapped air bubbles out. Then she double checked if she had the right amount of medicine drawn up.
Then, she added it to the serum.
But, the painkiller was not the only thing that she added.
Her ring was quite special.
she used her ring to add poison to the serum.
after she was done, she left the room as if nothing had happened.
All she had to do was to wait for the poison to do its thing.
She said to the bodyguards.
She then erased any traces of her being there and left the hospital, smiling.

It came as a huge shock when the news of the death of the vice president was spread.

On the same day, the vice president was attacked while on his way to the White House, but he miraculously survived that attack.

But that was not the end of it, he was poisoned while he was in the hospital, and passed away.
Didiane took a sip from her coffee, not paying much attention to the news on TV.
Kate
Just imagine that someone is after your life, and you might be attacked at any moment... it's terrifying.
Said Kate, Didiane's friend and colleague at the Café.
Didiane couldn't possibly tell Kate that she was the one who killed the vice president.
She was hired by her client after their own attempt to take the vice president's life failed.
Didiane
It's been five minutes.
Kate
Oh! My break is over.
Didiane
Mhm. And I need to leave too, my shift is already over. I've got some work to do.
Kate
You always have something to do. What do you do anyway?
Kate

Didiane got up from her seat.

With that Didiane left the Café.
She had some orders that she needed to take care of.
After arriving at her home, she ordered pizza which arrived 10 minutes later, then she changed into a short black dress.
She looked at herself up and down in the mirror
She smirked at her reflection, then she went into the kitchen and grabbed the box of pizza that she had bought earlier, then she left her home.
She got in her car and started driving
She arrived at her destination
She entered the apartment and got in the elevator.
She stopped in front of a door with the number 301 on it.
after a while, a man opened the door.
He wasn't expecting any guests, specially a gorgeous lady.
He looked at her up and down and raised one brow.
Target (male)
Can I help you?
Didiane smiled innocently.
Didiane
I'm here to deliver your order.
She showed him the plastic bag that she was holding.
Target (male)
But I didn't order anything.
Didiane
But I'm sure the number of the room I needed to deliver pizza to was 301.
Didiane pretended to be confused.
The man looked at her body with greed in his eyes.
Target (male)
But you did deliver yourself to me.
Target (male)
Why don't you come in? You've already came all the way here, I can't let you leave empty-handed can I?
Didiane
I won't trouble you...
Target (male)
It's nothing. So, aren't you coming in?
Didiane acted as if she was considering the offer
Didiane
Alright! Now that you invited me so kindly, it would be rude of me to refuse.
The man smirked and stepped aside to let her in
The man lead her into the kitchen

How about we eat this pizza together?
Didiane
S-Sure. I guess that's alright.
The man pulled the chair out for Didiane and gestured her to sit, which she did.
After that, he opened one of the cabinets to get a bottle of wine.
Didiane brought out the pizza from its plastic bag and put it on the table.
Target (male)
So, what's your name, gorgeous?
Didiane
Oh, people usually call me ghost.
She got up from her sit quietly as the man's back was to her.
Didiane
Because I come and go like a ghost. They never see me coming.
The man raised his eyebrows
Then Didiane pulled the plastic bag over the man's head, in order to suffocate him.
Didiane
Just like you didn't.
The man reached for his face and tried to tear the plastic.
Didiane
Don't waste your time. It's made out of a unique material, it won't tear that easily.
The man struggled and tried to push Didiane away from himself, but instead, he suddenly found himself pinned on the ground.
After a few more seconds of struggling, he ran out of air, and stopped moving.
Didiane checked his pulse.
Didiane walked up to the table and sat behind it again.
She opened the pizza box and grabbed a slice of pizza and took a bite.
She then pulled her phone out of her purse and texted her client.
Client
"Just as the rumors said"
Client
"Your one million will be delivered to you in cash, just as you demanded, inside a bag, in a backseat of a car parked under the bridge."
Client
" Nice workin with you, Ghost."
Didiane turned off her phone, which was only for this line of work.
She ate the whole pizza, then she left the man's apartment and went towards her car.
She pulled out a wheelchair from her car and brought it up, inside the man's house.
Then she wore her gloves and got to work.
She went to his room and searched it until she found a suitcase.
She started filling it up with clothes, and she even folded them before putting them in the suitcase.
She also took his passport and birth certificate and anything else someone would take with themselves when they want to flee the country.
After that she cleaned the mess in the kitchen.
Now that everything was in place, she put the man on the wheelchair, took the suitcase and brought them to the elevator and pressed the button G.
Didiane
*Thank God I didn't run into any of the neighbors*
Didiane
*That would be troublesome*
She pulled the wheelchair towards her car, carried the man and put him in the backseat with the suitcase
Then put the wheelchair back where it used to be and done.
She got in her car and drove away.
After she got rid of the body and sending him to his grave in the ocean, she went to her friends place.
Chapter2/ A Call from Ghost
Eric Griffin was sitting on his chair, looking out the window.
He looked fierce and his gaze was cold and heavy.
The sound of someone knocking on his door broke the silence.
The maid man entered the room and closed the door behind him.
Bruce Miller (butler)
Sir.
Eric's gaze remained fixed on the window.
Bruce Miller (butler)
About the matter that you wanted me to investigate.
Bruce Miller (butler)
I only managed to get his number.
Bruce Miller (butler)
Please forgive this subordinate for being incompetent.
Eric looked at the maid man from the corner of his eyes
His tone was cold, it sent chills down the butler's spine.
Bruce Miller (butler)
Yes, sir. He doesn't leave any traces behind. He only contacts his clients through phone, and every time with different numbers.

We've tried to hack him using his current number, but that was not successful either. He seems to be a hacker as well as an assassin.

The atmosphere in the room was suffocating.
Cold sweat started to form on the butler's forehead.
Suddenly, the sound of Eric's phone's ring tone broke the deadly silence.
Eric looked at the caller's ID.
Then he answered the call, but he remained silent and waited for the other party to speak first.

Is this Eric Griffin?
The voice of a young man could be heard on the other end of the phone.
Didiane tried her best to make her voice sound deep and natural until she somehow managed to sound like a teenage guy.
Eric raised his brows, seems like they didn't accidentally dial his number.
He answered in a heavy voice.
Didiane
I'm the one you were looking for.
Eric
The one I'm looking for? So, you're the Ghost?
Didiane
So, tell me, Mr. Big Bad Boss, Why were you looking for me?
Didiane
Do want me to kill someone for you?
Eric was quiet for a moment. The ghost actually dared to speak casually with him as if they were old friends.
Eric
Let's just say that I was bored and you just happened to gain my interest.
Didiane
Oh? Gain your interest? Was it because of the former vice president?
Didiane
But, that can not be the only reason, can it? You actually tried to hack me to get to my location.
Didiane
I've been busy the whole night dealing with your hackers.
Didiane
And I somehow managed to hack one of them and get your phone number through them.
Didiane
So, what do you really want?
After a moment of silence he said coldly

You know who you're talking to, right?
Didiane

Didiane

Didiane
I'm talking to the Big Bad mafia boss, the ruler of the underworld, the one and only Eric Griffin!
Didiane
How was that? Did I praise you enough?
Eric
Despite the fact that you know who I am, you dare to speak so casually to me.
Eric
Do you not fear death?
Didiane
Death comes after all of us, some sooner than the others, It is a fact. And I am no exception.
Eric smirked. This Ghost fellow was quite an interesting man.
Eric
Let's see if you actually dare to say these words to my face.
Didiane
You think so? to be complimented by the Big Boss himself is quite an honor.
Didiane
But, I'm not really in an appropriate situation to speak right now...
Eric
You want to hang up on me?
Eric
And what do you have to do that's so important that you have to hang up on Me?
Eric
Are you trying to run from me?
Didiane
I'm not trying to run away. I've already done my homework, and know if you want something, you will get it. And it would be just a matter of time for you to find me. It wouldn't be wise of me to run, would it?
Didiane
Ha! I'm a professional!
Didiane
Now, Mr. Griffin, if you don't mind, I've got to hang up.
Didiane
I'm kinda in a middle of getting rid of a corpse.
Didiane
Please don't take this to heart!
With that, Didiane hung up.
Eric stared at the screen of his phone.
The windows were closed, but the room was cold.
The butler has been standing there all along, listening to his boss's conversation, and he would tremble in fear every time the other party said something that offended his boss; were they stupid?
He wanted to leave, but he dared not to without the boss's permission.
Eric
Why are you still here? Leave.
Bruce Miller (butler)
Yes, sir.
He breathed a sigh of relief and left the room, closing the door behind him.
Eric got up from his seat and walked up to the window wall and looked down at the view of the city below him.
He appeared as an Emperor watching his subjects with keen eyes. wise and ruthless.
Chapter 3/ Ghost is a woman
After Didiane hung up the phone, she breathed a sigh of relief and kicked the corpse of a person that she had killed into the river
Suddenly, she noticed some movements from the corner of her eyes.
She looked up and saw a man standing on a bridge across from hers, he was also getting rid of a body by kicking it into the river.
The man noticed her too. They just stared at each other's silhouettes for a while, then they both giggled and nodded at each other.
After that, they both went their separate ways
Didiane
*what a crazy world *
She laid down on her bed, staring out the window and at the sparkling lights of the city.
Didiane
*He's after me because I killed his target?*
Didiane
*He can't blame me, his own people failed to kill the vice president, not my problem*
Didiane
*Although, it can make him lose face...*
Didiane yawned and slowly drifted off to sleep.
The Café was empty, except for a couple of customers.
Didiane
*But, I still have to get up 7 in the morning and come to work...*
Didiane
Nothing, just tired. I slept late last night.
Kate
Difficult life of an adult?
Didiane
Mhm. Although I had it a lot harder when I was a kid.
Suddenly the doors of the Café opened and a man walked in, followed by 4 bodyguards.
Kate
who the heck are they? It's like a scene from a movie.
Kate whispered to Didiane.
Didiane just tried to act normal as if she didn't care
The man looked around the Café, his eyes lingered a while longer on the two college student guys, but then he looked away and took a seat behind a table.
Kate
Judging from his clothing and all those bodyguards and the car he just came out of, he's super rich! Then what is that guy doing Here?
Didiane
* Maybe he hacked me?*
Didiane
*Dammit. I just got an order this morning, so my phone was on, I turned it off when I arrived at the Café*
Didiane
*he's quick. It's like he's been waiting all night for me to turn on my phone.*
Didiane whispered to Kate
Kate looked over at the man. He seemed unapproachable.
Kate
I'm afraid he will cut off my head!
Didiane
But he's hot. It's worth it, isn't it?
Kate
... This is why we're friends.
Kate straightened herself and walked over to their table. she politely smiled.
Kate
Hello, what would you like to order?
The man didn't even look at her.
Instead the maid man by his side answered

Coffee please. No milk and no foam. Just coffee.
Kate
