[Luna 10 years old]

POV,aunt

When I came at Monica's,my sister's house, she was lying on the floor.The blood was all over the room. Plates were broken,there were many pieces of glass scattered on the floor. She was stabbed by a knife. Everything was broken. Monica's body was covered by bruises like she was tortured before being killed.What exactly happened here? I was shocked and I was crying. Wait where is Luna? And her step dad? I started searching for them.

"Luna!",I shouted.

Then a vase fell on the floor.The sound came from the back of the sofa.

Luna was there,trembling and crying.

"Luna! what happened?where is your step dad?",I said hugging her but she didn't answer.

"Luna,don't be scared aunt is here! where is your step dad? and why are you hiding here?",I tried to calm her down by hugging and kissing but she was so scared that she pushed me away and said:

"Please don't touch me!",she shouted. She must have been hit.She is only a kid! damn I was very angry! how can someone do this to a kid! she had big brown eyes and long brown hair.

I could see fear in her eyes. She had bruises on her body like someone hit her, and her cheeks were red. Her clothes were a little torn. I got more scared but now I was sure that Matthew,her step dad was the culprit. I called the police and they came,i told everything and they gave me Luna's custody. I took her to my house where my son Rick was waiting for me.

"Mummy! you came! i want to show you this drawing! I put all my love in it! you will like it for sure",he said all happy.

"Okay baby but first let me introduce you to Luna.

Luna this is my son Rick and Rick this is your cousin Luna,she will be living with us", I said.

Seeing Rick,Luna smiled a little because they were classmates at school but I never knew until Rick said:

"Luna,that's great! we see each other at school now even at home!", he said and his eyes shined bright.

I never saw him happy like now.

"Okay,kids now go and play",I said.

The day passed quickly. I couldn't sleep all night thinking about what happened, i stated crying.

I was thinking about Luna's future too. She was not safe. She was really scared of sleep alone so I let her sleep with Rick as he was insisting. I think Rick likes her because my son never gets near girls, Luna is special.She has opened up only a little around Rick but,my son has a bad temper so I was a little scared, he is a possessive type and this can be dangerous.He often gets in fights even if he is 10 years old.

[Luna 14 years old,first day of school]

POV,Luna

"Hey Rick! we are in the same class again!", I said full of joy.

"Yeah,I hope to be your desk mate",he said giggling.

"Nah,I want to be Leo's desk mate",I said with bright eyes.

"Do you like him?",he said with a angry tone.

"Hey,calm down.Yeah I like him but he is really popular,he wouldn't look at a girl like me",I said.

I don't know why but Rick is so possessive over me,It's not like I'm his girlfriend or anything like that? why does he act like that? I even heard rumors about him being a psycho. I don't believe them because he is good with me. Actually Rick is really popular. He got popular on the first day of school.Rick is aggressive but he is good to me,I think of him as a friend nothing more.

"You know what?",he said looking straight in my eyes.

"What?",I said looking in his eyes too.

"Your pretty",he said without hesitation.

"How can you say it this easily?",I said blushing.

"I wish I could lock you up,so nobody else could see your beauty",he said smirking.

"Don't start again! it's creepy,it's not funny at all!",I said annoyed.

Well he often says creepy things like this. Actually this one is less creepy than all the other things he has ever said to me.

Yesterday he said he wanted to see how would I look with my hand tied and my eyes blindfolded. Sometimes I get really scared of him. I see him wherever I go and I always thought that it was a coincidence but last week I saw him near the ladies room. Whatever,he must be acting like this because he is scared that I might do something stupid because I am really clumsy.

"Luna!",Mia shouted.

"Mia! my bestie! it's been a long time since I last saw you!",I said dramatically.

"Luna,stop watching these series,we saw each other only an hour ago",Mia said annoyed.

"okay okay,I will stop it!",btw do you recognize him?",I said pointing at Rick.

"Wait! don't tell me he's Rick the nerd?!",Mia said shocked.

"Hahahah,you guessed right",I said while laughing really hard.

"Wow,you have become more tall,handsome and slim! You don't even wear your thick glasses anymore.Woah,your you cut your long black hair,now your green eyes are visible",Mia said shocked.

"Thank you",Rick said proudly.

"Btw Luna, Leo asked me for your number and I lied saing that I lost it. I wanted him to ask you directly",Mia said winking at me.

"Really?!",I said jumping from happiness.

"Aren't you too happy?",Rick said rudely.

"Why do you always act like this? I like Leo that's why i am happy,what's your problem? I said angry.

I could notice Rick controlling his anger,I felt guilty because acted too harshly. But why does he get angry? I can't understand him!!!!

"Sorry I didn't mean to say it harshly!",I explained but he wasn't listening. He ignored me so i got angry.

"Hey! don't ignore me!",I said angrily.

"What?",he said sarcastically while playing with his mobile.

"Fine! ignore me and I will ignore you too!",I said and left to class with Mia.

I was really angry! because we were living under the same roof so it would be awkward to ignore each other.

What does he think of himself? There was a problem.

Rick would bully who ever he hated so now I was on the list of the hated people. He will 100°/• take revenge at school and at home bulling by me. Man,that gave me goosebumps.

"Luna,I know what you are thinking but he won't bully you at home for sure",she said confidently.

"I am just worried,you know about those rumors. You know what? he acts In a creepy way. He used to say creepy things that might seem romantic but I felt like I was talking to a psycho",I said sighing.

"Don't think too much",she said.

After the hard day at school I came back at home,Rick didn't wait for me so I just left. Rick and I no longer share a room as we have grown up and hit puberty. When I arrived at home there was no sight of aunt so I saw this as a chance to confront Rick. I went to his room to talk to him about what happend but I didn't see him.

I was getting bored so I thought of reading a book. Rick always puts his books in the wardrobe not on the shelf. When I opened the wardrobe I got shocked.

"Why are there so many pictures of me? he still has the painting I had made for him when we were kids. He even has the rubber that I lent him last year! wait this photo! I am n***d in this picture! is he out of his mind? how can he be so obsessed with me? What's wrong with him!?!", I said loudly.

I got really scared I had to talk to him! but...he might create a fuss! I decided to not ask anything and act normal. The next day Rick started talking to me and I was relieved but at school he bullied me.

The naked picture of me in his room still bugged me and made me feel really uncomfortable. I had to do something about it but what?

It's been 4 years since he has being bullying me.

I can't believe it,only over one stupid thing he is doing this to me.I found out that Leo was engaged with the love of his life when he was only 5.It sounds crazy but it's true.I didn't go to Rick's room since that day because it freaks me out.I didn't tell anything about Rick to aunt,she is getting old and she has heart disease so I don't want to make her worry.I decided that I will go back to my old house and live there,even if my house in near my aunt's house.I don't know how Rick will react and I don't care.At a second thought that wont really keeo me away from Rick.Wherever I see him I get creeped and when he ignores me or bullyies me,it hurts.

It's like I lost someone i love...but I don't love him,he has always been a friend to me.I have come up with a solid idea now: I planning to finish these last 7 days of school and transfer to New York.I am good at languages so I can teach at school.I have already told about my future plan to Mia and aunt but Rick doesn't know.

Right now I am on my way to school,alone.

"Luna! there are still 7 days to the end of the school and the last time I will see you because you will leave for New York..Don't forget about me!",Mia said with tears in her eyes.

"You're not easy to be forgotten,I will always remember you because you're a pain in the @$$",I said laughing thinking that she might kick me but she only hugged me tighter.

"Hey! don't be sad,you'll make me cry!",I said holding my tears back.

"Luna,does that psycho know that you are leaving?",she said concerned about me

"Of course not,but everyone at the school knows so I think he will find out soon",I said sarcastically.

"Do you like him?",she said joking.

"OF COURSE NOT",I said loudly.

"yeah,yeah.I saw the way you looked at him",she said teasing me.

Okay,I admit I like looking at him.I like his eyes,hair,lips and everything else but it doesn't mean I like him. I hate when he gets near a girl but it's only because he's my cousin.Okay...I like him but I am scared of him.He acts like I psycho.Even after those things many my friends told me like, that there was a guy that liked me and he disappeared after talking to Rick,I still want to believe he cant go to those extremes. Why? Man,we grew up together, he was girst friend. Despite all,his behaviour is... creepy!!!!

(after school)

I was walking to the library because I had to borrow a book for my last exam.I suck at maths so I wanted to read some rules and stuff.I went to the library, took the book and started walking back to home but on the way It stated to rain very heavy so I stopped at the bus stop.

I didn't have any umbrella with me ,my phone was out of battery and there were no taxis available.I was really soaked,my skin was visible all thanks to the soakness of the uniform.I was wearing my uniform,a red short skirt and a white shirt with a red tie.I stated trembling and feeling cold as it started to rain even more. I hate autumn. Suddenly my eyes started feeling heavy.Before closing my eyes I saw him,Rick.He was running to me,with an umbrella with him.He seemed worried that made me happy,he hadn't shown any normal emotions recently.I fell on the ground,I didn't have any energy left in my body.I felt as someone was carrying me like a princess,I could feel gentle touches and a sweet voice saying "you will be alright,I will not let you leave me". This man won't even let me die in peace.

[after a day,POV Rick]

I heard some noises coming from the secret basement that built in my house.Oh right,I tied Luna in the basement.She was going to leave for New York in a week and I didn't want to lose her so I locked her in the basement.I told everyone that she left yesterday because she got a call from her friend.Everyone believed me,hahahah.

I went to the basement where I saw Luna struggling with the chains that i used to tie her.I had already blindfolded her and covered her mouth with a black ribbon.

She was looking like an angel.She was trembling,I suppose she was angry and scared at the same time.I didn't make any sound and went near the bed where she was lying. I went to her slowly without making any sound and hoping that she wouldn't find out my identity or she might hate me more.

I sat beside her and touched her cheek but then I was kicked by her.I am so stupid! I was so happy to have her with me that I forgot to tie her legs.I tied her legs with the chains.Suddenly I heard my mum talking on the phone.I rushed out of the basement and locked the door.

"Son! you said that Luna left but she didn't even say bye to me!'',she said disappointed

"Mum,her friend was sick so she had to leave urgently",I said covering my lie. So it's true that to mask one lie you have to say more lies.

"Um,I understand",she replied defeated.

"Mum,my last exam is coming soon so I am going in my room to study and can I bring 2 sandwiches with me?,I said acting normal.

"sure,you must be hungry to eat 2 sandwiches",she laughed .

"...yes,I am really hungry",I lied again and again.

Mum went to take a shower and I took the 2 sandwiches and 2 glass of orange juice to the basement.

I saw Luna struggling,she got dark red and purplish bruises on her wrists from struggling,her skin peeled off a bit and let to slight bleeding.I got worried and I wanted to tell her to stop but I didn't want her to recognize my voice.

I took off the ribbon from her mouth expecting her to ask me about my identity.

But she said something that I wasn't expecting.

"Rick,it's you right?",she said crying.

"yeah,it's-it's me",I said with my trembling voice.

"why are you doing this to me?aren't we cousins and friends?",she said angry and sobbing.

"I don't want to be your cousin,NEITHER YOUR FRIEND.Once, just once look-look at me once without thinking about our relationship",after what I said I took off the ribbon from her eyes.

"Look at me!",I raised my voice at her.

Then she finally looked at me,she didn't say anything but kept staring at me with those big eyes filed with tears threatening to fall.I felt horrible seeing her tears but at the same time relived because she didn't shout.It was as if she was examining every inch of my face but then she turned red.Was it because of the fever of last night?

"You are red,do you have a fever?and how long are you planning to stare at me like this?,I said confused.

"I don't have a fever and I-I am not staring",she said looking away clearly repulsed by this unpleasant situation she was in.

"Let me go! I don't want to stay here! it's so dark and scary! please take me out!",she said crying once she looked back at me. Panic and desperation were evident in her voice.

I couldn't see her crying,her tears where falling slowly from her beautiful cheeks.Her eyes were shining bright and she was biting her red lips,choking on sobs.

"if you don't stop crying you will regret",I said serious. I didn't want her crying.

"I-i",she cried more and I got angry. Rage took over me,blinded me.

I went to the bathroom of the basement and filled the tub with hot water.I went to Luna and lift her up.She shouted and begged me to let her go but I was out of my mind. I threw her in the tub.She creamed so loudly that I came back to my sense.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to!", said panicked. What the f*ck was i doing?! what was i doing to MY Luna?! MY Beautiful Luna.

I immediately took her out from the tub and put her on the bed.

I apologised to her over and over and explained why I was acting like that but she didn't reply to me.I felt miserable. There was nothing that could excuse my behaviour. My words were falling deaf to her ears. Empty words.

I went to her ex room took her clothes and I changed her.After changing I fed her forcefully and left the basement.I started crying when I got out from there.That wasn't what I was expecting! didn't want to do that! I love her! why can't she love me too?! why!?! I don't want to do that either but I am scared that she might leave me. If she leaves me,I will destroy everything. I will make her mine by all means. She is mine. Always.
