"still in this strange place." My name is liao li, later on im called lier. im a 21st century tomb explorer. might not seem like an ideal job but its my preference.

me as well as my team of explorers came across an amazing relic. it seemed like a clock dated all the way back to the han dynasty. we decided to get more help and move it the next day but, i was too curious so i snuck out to check it out. when i came into the tomb the ancient clock lit up. it was calling me, i couldn't help but move towards it.

as soon as i touched it, it drew me in and suddenly i woke up here. this strange place. from what i was told by my most trusted maid, i was picked back up from the countryside as my father abandoned me and my mother for his side consort who were now living lavishly. it was then i realized i had time-traveled, no way this type of drama would happen in the 21st century.

also i had been in a coma for 3 days due to the inequality and treatment i was getting.

if i was going to time travel, at least make up a better story for my background. I'm a free spirited tomb explorer now in a little weak girls body. but not for long. until i figure out how to get home i wont be bullied, watch how i handle all your enemies.

liao li spent at least 2 weeks recuperating but really, she learnt about who was in the family, her allies and enemies as well as the arts in which a country bumkin should not know. and someday she planned to give them a surprise.

***2 weeks later***

from what i have learnt, my maid name is xiner, and my mom died a while ago due to depression. the side consort, madam liu has a daughter, che qi , and a son, fuling, who are as nasty as she is. my father is a lord of nanping province so we are quite influencial. but, my father is cold to me. on the other had im a 17 year old daughter who is not favored. seems like all i have are enemies an i good friend xiner.

me***: "xiner, its about time we stepped outside or else i might rot in here."

xiner: "mmh, my lady has worked hard for a long time, let me help you up."

me: "ok, help me to the gardens for some fresh air"

madam liu***: "ayo, lier are you feeling better, you even have the energy to come out of that dump of a room"

SMIRK- i let out a giggle then a laugh

xiner finally catches up

A voice comes from a tree behind where i and xiner stand, a man, no the most handsome man I've ever seen, before i even know it, im drooling. Too bad he had a mask on.

unknown: Ho, Ho who would have thought the fragile and timid first miss is such a schemer, congrats you've sparked my interest.

***And he dissappears..

me: who was that, i didn't even notice him there, oh well, all that acting has made me hungry, let me return to my manor first.

BACK at liers rundown court yard***

me: i didn't notice before but madam liu has definitely put a lot of consideration in my courtyard, not a single thing here is in good shape.

xiner: madam don't worry, although its a bit shabby ill fix it up a bit and it'll be a bit better.

me: no need xiner, we wont be staying for long.

Next Day

me: why does this bed feels ao uncomfortable, even though i know its rundown but seriously its like a rock.

me: xiner

xiner: yes my lady, would you like to wash up?

me: in a bit but first help me lift the bed

Your father is a good man but he cant accept you as you arent his real daughter, your father is out there and i can only leave you with the clue of LIN. find your father he will protect you. also wear this bracelet it will guide you to become the Phoenix you were meant to be. with it soar high, so high that even i can see you.
