"The Portal", it's a gateway that connected multiple world. There is a lot of portal that appeared for almost about a year ago. Every portal lead to different world with law, rules, ideology, and rational thinking that different from the earth.

Some have a magic, a Sains that further develop beyond humanity understanding, a world where there is only the strongest alive, and a World where there is always be a time of peace.... Or so they hope and imagine in the infinite possibilities.

Somewhere at the underground government facilities there is a event that will be the first most shocking news that will shock the world, the event to give the permission to go and discovered the new world across the portal.

One by one the participants has been called by the authority the leader of the association that hold the responsibility of the mission to explore the portal.

The leader is an old man but with a look that can make a child cry just by looking at him.

"Code Number 001 Lyrs, come forth" the old man said with an intimidating voice.

As Lyrs took step forward a lot of whispering and chatting all over the room, all Lyrs friend just stood still confused at Lyrs, they feel somewhat different from the usual

"hey do he always like that" Kiel said to Gilbert. "hm.. n-no. i don't think so" Gilbert said with confusion in his mind trying to find the difference at him..

"Code Number 001 reporting to commander" Lyrs said with passion and honored posture and voice.

"You will be entering the portal your mission is to explore and find out what is happening inside the portal and i hope you can restore what is lost from you and good luck" the old man said at Lyrs with high expectations "Understood" Lyrs replied.

After giving a salute to the old man Lyrs step forward into the first portal.

After a brief moment Lyrs wake up at a plain grass and see around him "hm... what is this place? this is look just like the earth but it somewhat felt different" Lyrs thought whit confusion. he walk around for a while and find a road, he think that if he follow the road he will end up find a city or a civilization.

after 2 days walking following the road Lyrs stumbled to some people, they look like a noble from the eastern and some look loke a western. the noble from the eastern is a beautiful woman dressed in a white red cloth looks like Chinese traditional clothes and some is looks like her guard they're wearing the eastern style guard clothes. while the noble western is a beautiful, elegent and a mature woman wearing a western style clothes with a jewelry gauntlet, necklace and ring.

the western one look at Lyrs with a gently smile while the eastern one look with full of curiosity in her eyes.

the eastern one bow with respect at Lyrs and ask "may i know who you are?, and why are your clothes is unsual?, do you a royalty?"

"hey it's rude to confused him with al lot of questions while you don't give your own name" the western one said to the eastern one

"ahem sorry about that my name is isabella Von Vaios daughter of King Fred Von Vaios, and this is my friend Shania Miria daughter of King Huira Miria, may i know your name?" the western one said to Lyrs with a elegent voice "You can call me Lyrs" Lyrs replied "where do you came from? and where do you want to go? Sana ask with full of curiosity "eh..., i has been training in the forest about 2-4 miles from here, so i got lost but im trying to go to the nearby city looking for a job for my living." Lyrs replied with confidence "is that so.? how about you come with me and be my bodyguard, how's that sound? " isabella said giving a suggestion for Lyrs "alright then miss Isabella i will be in your care" Lyrs said with smile accepting isabella suggestion "ahh, isabel you mean, i want to said that too" shania said with sad look on her eyes "sorry shania, first come first serve, alright then let's get into the carriage shall we? "isabella said while patting shania head..

"Sure" shania said with low enthusiasm "understood miss isabella" Lyrs said.

"Sit right here Lyrs" said shania, Lyrs sit down at where shania point. "So you, said you grown up in a forest and training since your childhood? " Shania said confused. "Yup, you can said it like that " Lyrs replied. "How sad" Shania said with a sad expression as she felt sympathy for Lyrs. "So do you have any relative or friend" Isabella ask Lyrs with confusion. "Hm... I think no.. " Lyrs replied again.

"Well enough about me, how about tell me where are we going to?" Lyrs said to cheer out the situation "We are going to the city of Rostaria it is the most rich and beautiful city in this kingdom, the city is most filled with merchant and the dominant race is human although there is some demi-human in there but compare to human they're influence is little and some of it even became a slave in there" Isabella said

"slave? do they do anything bad? " Lyrs asked

"Yes Of coure slave, they are a inferior being compared to human even there is a demi-human that resembled monster than human" Isabella said proudly

"Don't said it like that isa, they are living being that can think and feel emotion., oh btw the kingdom ruling the city is isa kingdom we just came back from my kingdom, isa kingdom is called Tarask and my kingsom called Yurasi" Shania said to criticize Isabella

"he~ I see, but why do human is superior compare to them?" Lyrs ask

"Because human average compatibility with mana is more high compare to other race and human have a guardian that called the 'God's rank' where they are so powerful that there is a rumour that they can destroy a whole state alone" Isabella replied

"talking about that Lyrs do you have taken the aptitude test? " Shania ask

"well...., no im just training my body in the forest " Lyrs replied

"then how about we take you to take the test later? you must become strong to become my guard to protect me" Isabella said

"if miss said so, sure" Lyrs answer

after a brief moment talk they arrived at City of Rostaria. the city is huge with wall surrounding the city, a lot of caravan is moving to the city and going out from the city but although the scenery is beautiful and glamorous there is a unpleasant sight of slavery, a lot of demi-human have a poor clothe it's like they just use some old cloth to cover them self.

Lyrs accompany the two princesses traveling the city and looking for an inn to rest for the night. after that they buy a scroll and a shape of little block white ore.

after that Lyrs just accompany them until they satisfied, and return to the inn at evening.

Shania open the scroll, there is some sort of diagram like drawing in it and in the center there is a circle.

"Put your hand above this circle" Shania said

Lyrs put his hands above the circle and the scroll emitting a white light

"WoW, so how's my aptitude? " Lyrs ask excited

"your aptitude is light" Shania said

"is it bad?" Lyrs asked

"N-no no, it's not that bad but not that good either" Shania replied

"It's just average it's used to cure and lift up a curse and just healing" Isabella said

"So? am i still hired? " Lyrs ask

"Of course silly, you still can be my guard but you must work hard" Isabella replied

"oh, okay i guess this is fine then" Lyrs said

"excuse me i have to get out for a sec, continue without me" Isabella said

"in to the next step then" Shania said

Shania hand over the white ore to Lyrs

"this is the mana gauge ore it is used to measure your mana quality and quantity, the corresponding measurement are black, gray, and white, the purer the light, meant that your mana is excellent" Shania explained

"so do i just grip it? " Lyrs ask

"yup, just grip it" Shania said with smile on her face

the ore emitting a pure black light, so pure and strong that the stone shattered to pieces

The princesses surprised because she never seen this before.

"Ah, Lyrs your hand are you alright? " Shania said shocked because Lyrs hand full of blood because of the ore.

Shania took Lyrs hand voluntarily, clean it and took her hankie and wrapped it

"Sorry about that i didn't know if that ore will shattered " Shania said

"Don't worry about that it's not your fault, besides a beautiful lady taking cared my wound is worth it" Lyrs said with smile

"Don't joke around it's not funny if you get hurt because of me" Shania said with a guilty voice

"hehehehe, as you wish my princess " Lyrs said.

"All done" Shania said

"Thanks" Lyrs replied

"What are you guys doing? " Isabella ask

"Wha-what? Isa you already here? how long have you been here? "Shania said

"Hm? what do you meant? *gasp what happen to your hand Lyrs?!?" Isabella shouted panicked

"ah, this nothing much just a scratch.. besides miss Shania already healed me" Lyrs replied

"What exactly happened in here? " Isabella ask with a doubting in her face

"well Lyrs grip the ore so strong that the ore shattered in his hand" Shania replied

"is that so? Is that what happen Lyrs? " Isabella doubting Shania answer

Shania walk closer to Lyrs and pinch his back

"Yes, sorry I broke the ore miss Isabella " Lyrs said while holding on not to scream

after Lyrs said that Shania stopped pinching Lyrs back

"It's already night let's go to sleep, Im sleepy" Shania said

"Okay then, let's go back to our room Shania" Isabella said

"Good night Lyrs " Shania and Isabella said together

"Good night " Lyrs replied

After they get out Lyrs lay down in his bed and starting thinking about his next plan

"Ah, Finally they get out, Isabella and Shania huh? They are beautiful woman but the two of them have a opposite personalities, one is naive, carefree and kind and the other one is a cold, protective and schemer. If this continues i don't think Shania kingdom will survive, oh well it's not my problem but i still owe her a favor, and what happen to the ore why do it shattered? i guess i will ask shania later" Lyrs thought many more things and then fall asleep

*knock knock knock

"hm? who is it in the middle of night? " the sound of someone knocking the door make Lyrs wake up, Lyrs quickly open the door,

"are you awake? " in the front of the door is Shania "what can i help for you miss Shania? " Lyrs said

"How about get in first? " Lyrs offering Shania to talk inside

Shania quickly get in the room

"so? " Lyrs asked

"can you tell me where are you from? " Shania asked

"Eh? Didn't i tell that i'm from the forest? " Lyrs replied

"yes, but you can't fooled me, your clothes are so nice" Shania said

"..." Lyrs stayed silent

"you don't want to said?" Shania said with sad expression

"..." Lyrs still stayed silent

"well it's fine, you know i had a special skill, I can see other people intentions and nature so because of it i trusted you, in my eyes you are not a bad person but there is something dark about you it felt like im staring at the most cold person and it's felt lonely" Shania said

"I'm sorry but I cannot said where i came from" Lyrs replied

"well it's fine then but can you tell me about the outside world?" Shania ask

"There are many things in the world but before that let me tell you a story are you okay with that? " Lyrs replied

"sure" Shania said

"In a kingdom far far away there is a young hero and a princess, one day the kingdom meet his destruction and the king ordered the guards to ran away and hide the princess one by one the guards sacrifice their lives for the princess and finally the princess got away but she is the only one who is alive, she then meet the young hero and his group in the forest while running away, the young hero ask the princess why is she running and the princess told him her story, the young hero then go to the kingdom and kill all the enemy and destroyed them after that the princess swore to follow the young hero adventure, after that many month and years has passed the princess fell in love with the young hero, it is such a pity that the hero can no longer felt any love emotion because of his power but thr princess not willingly to giving up her love. and finally the young hero and his group fought they final enemy the dark king, they used all they have and still not enough to defeat the dark king, one by one the young hero see his friends die in the hand of the dark king, the young hero still not feeling any emotion and finally to defeated the dark king the princess use a forbidden skill and use all of her mana to help the young hero, finally the young hero defeated the dark king by using all of his essence power because of his power already vanished his emotion finally back and he watched the princess slowly shattered to pieces, it's such a pity the moment he got his emotion everything that he cherish the most is gone, especially when he cannot answered the princess love for him, he felt useless, he fallen to despair so with all what is left to him he promised and swore that he will made a skill that can bend time and space to protect what is precious to him and to save the princess that suffer because of him."

hearing the story Shania eyes full of tears and some of them are fallen to her cheek

seeing that sight Lyrs can't helped and erased Shania tears

"hey, come on it's just a story don't cry for it too much" Lyrs said

"but it can't *sob be helped *sob., but do it *sob just a story? " Shania ask

".... Yes, it's just a story"Lyrs replied

after shania calm down they talk about many things about the world Lyrs answered everything he can but Shania question keep coming without any sign of end and after about some hours later Shania fell asleep because Lyrs Don't want any misunderstanding he carry Shania to her room.

"Good Night, sleep tight my princess wish your happy dreams come true"

after that Lyrs walk away and go back to his room

"hm?. i feel like im missing something "Lyrs asked to him self

after a brief moment he finally remembered to ask Shania about the ore.
