"Hey Jake,where are my books I swear I left them on the table".I asked Jake.

"Oh yeah you're books huh sorry bro I borrowed them and forgot to tell you. Jake said.

That jerk if only he knew how annoying it was when he called me bro.

"Hey what did I tell you about calling me bro I'm a girl for crying out loud". I said as I walked towards him.

"Sorry br- umm Chlo". He said without even looking at me.

"Look! you know what...never mind.I I'm going out for a while I'll be back". I said.

"Hey where are you going Chlo? " Jake asked.

"I said I'm going out and I'll be back!" I answered him.

He then turned to me and looked at me from head to toe and said "Wearing that? "

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing it's not like you care or anything" I answered him as I began to storm off.

"Wait! " Jake held on to my hand and I suddenly froze in my tracks.

"Really!Why do you want to ruin my sweet day? I'm just going out out in my normal outfit nothing wrong!" I tried to change the story as I looked down at my clothes.

"That skirt is too short and you're showing too much of your chest! " Jake said.

"Oh please Jake since when did you start caring about what I'm wearing and what I wear" I rolled my eyes and pulled my hand out of his grip.

" You know what I'm coming with"Jake said.

I was so happy to hear this but I didn't want to show my happiness.

"Fine little puppy you can follow me but don't drool too much" I said to Jake.

"Yah no way I'll be drooling over you br-C-chlo" Jake said.

This really made me mad but I couldn't do anything about it.He was my best friend so I had to deal with it.

"Hey br-Chlo uhh are you ready? Quit idoling you said you wanna go let's go then". " Here hold my hand"

He put his hand out and I was about to hold his too, he pulled his hand away.

"Sike! You're so gullible"

He said as he laughed at me.

I looked at him and this time I really felt like crying so bad but he would only make fun of me so I had to hold it in.

And this is how we've always been since high school but he won't make a move. Sometimes I just feel like giving up on him but seeing his silly smile and listening to his cheezy jokes I just can't help but fall for him every time.

*Ring! ring! *

"Hello Hi mom wait when no way tomorrow oh ok I'll tell Jake." I said.

I went to Jake and said.

"Hey Jake get ready"

He stared at me and asked "For what? "

I smiled at him and said "Mom's coming tomorrow"

"Oh ok" He shrugged.

"Both our moms"

He widened his eyes and sat silently.

"You mean my mom is coming over"

I looked at him with puppy eyes and said "Ohh you don't want mommy to come to see her little baby? "

He flinched and turned to me and said

"I'm more worried about you baby."

I rolled my eyes and said

"Yeah I'm not expecting you to call me that even when we get together"

I froze after saying that but I guess he didn't notice.

The following day.

"Hey Jake how do I look in this? " I asked as I walked towards him.

He carefully looked at me from up to down.

"Great" He said as he smirked.

*Ding dong*

"They are here" I happily say as I walked towards the door.

"Hey mom hey aunt Julie" I warmly welcomed them.

"Hey honey" "Hi" They both answered.

"Well are you gonna let us in or what? " mom said.

"Oh sorry here come in" I said as I moved aside.

"Wow nice house you got.Hey where's ****Jake****? Mom said.

" Hey Jack mom's looking for you" I shouted.

"Hmm here I am " Jake said.

"Where were you sweety? " his mom Julie asked.

"Hey why don't we head we have some good you must be hungry after the tiresome trip from home to here. " Jake said.

"Oh you're so sweet sure why don't we go come on Julie" mom said.

We all went to the dining room and we sat as Jack brought food over to the table.

"Wow isn't Chloe a lucky one I mean she has Jack to cook for her" Julie said.

"Of course she is" Mom said.

"I must admit you really have good cooking skills " I said as I looked down at the food.

"I know" he said as he shrugged.

Mom and Julie turned to each other and smiled.

"Mom" I said

" Here take this" Jake said as he handed me a fork and took my spoon away

"Thank you" I gently smiled at him.

After eating, Jake went to the kitchen to wash the dishes and mom and aunt Julie began whispering and giggling.

"Ok mom aunt Julie what's going on because this barely happens " I asked them.

"Aww (๑•ᴗ•๑)♡" Aunt Julie said right before turning back to mom.

"Fine I'm going to Jake he won't giggle or whisper while staring at me" I said as I walked towards the kitchen.

"Hey can I stay here for a while? " I asked Jake as I looked back to see whether mom and aunt Julie were staring.

"You can stay with me for as long as you want" Jake said smirking.

"Could you be serious for a second ? " I said rolling my eyes.

"I'm always serious" He said cunningly.

I turned to check whether mom and aunt Julie were giggling and I didn't notice Jake moving back so I bumped on him and slid.

"Ahh" I scream as I fell.

" Watch out " Jake said as he held me by the waist before I fell.

"Th.. tha.. thank you " I said as I quickly got away from his arms.

"Awww just look at them" mom said

Both Jake and I turned to them and we found them staring at us.

"Oh my such love aren't they cute hmm" Aunt Julie said.

"Oh this brings me back to when the both of you were kids" mom began

"ahaha yes 'I'll marry her mom I want her to be my wife' " Aunt Julie impersonated Jake.

"m... m.. mom! " Jake blushed as shouted at mom.

I must admit he was so cute when he blushed.

"I remember when Chloe helped Jack and he made his mind and wouldn't let go of her" Aunt Julie said.

"She fought for him and she ended up being hurt but he was the one crying. She tried comforting him but he wouldn't listen until she accepted to be his future wife" Mom said.

"Mom! " Both Jake and I said blushing

"Did you hear that?Th****ey are now one in two they even know each others next words" Mom said.

"Aunt Clara I must admit living under the same roof as Chlo has made me learn a lot about her work of course I had to know her next words. It's only natural" Jake said

This guy had the nerve to say that even when he knew how mom and aunt Clara are.

"Aww hearing that my dear Chloe is living under the same roof as Jack just makes me feel so assured" Mom said.

"Mom! " I let out in embarrassment.

"But it's the truth honey I think the both of you should get married" Mom added.

"Yes imagine my dear Jack in a suit waiting for his sweet Chloe" Aunt Julie said.

"Mom! " The both of us shouted.

"Awww" both mom and aunt Julie let out.

"I can't stay here anymore Jake, mom, aunt Clara I'm going to step out for a while I'll be back later" I said.

"Aww leaving so soon honey? " Aunt Julie asked.

"I'll be back don't worry" I assured them as I walked towards my room.

I went to my room and got changed.

I then got out my room and there mom, aunt Julie and Jack were waiting for me.

"Honey! " mom said.

“Oh darling no" Aunt Julie said.

"Oh no" Jack said as he winked at me.

"huh? What did I do? " I asked.

"Where do you think you are going with those clothes on? " Mom said.

"Huh? What have my clothes done? " I asked in confusion.

"Look at how you are exposing yourself dear" Aunt Julie said

"Exposing myself? Where? " I asked still confused.

"Hmm... let me see come follow me we are finding something more suitable for you to wear" Mom said

"And where will you get the clothes?" I asked mom

"From your wardrobe of course where else? "

mom answered

'Great just great' I said to myself.

"What about this? " Aunt Julie asked.

"It's perfect yes this will do good eye Julie" mom complemented Auntie Julie

"Well it's no question why I was known as fashion queen back in highschool" 'giggle' Aunt Julie said.

"Oh I remember dear Christie's in face when she saw you at the galla" 'laugh' Mom said

"oh haha her eyes were wide open and her mouth wide agape" Aunt Julie said

"I...i think I'm going to go out with Chlo" Jack said as he reached for my hand

"Good idea Jack so you can watch out for her and nothing bad can happen to her you know it's never safe these days especially for young girls" Mom compliment Jack.

"Su...sure we will be back in a while" I said as we headed to the door.

"Don't stay out for too long" Aunt Julie said

"Ok promise well be back by 7pm" I said as I slowly closed the door.

"Bye dears" Mom said as she followed behind.

"Ahaha bye mom" I said Akwardly.

"Few we are finally out" Jack said as he sighed.

"I thought you were having fun with mum and Aunt Julie" I told Jack as I laughed.

"mhh of course why not the three of you sounded like you were having so much fun" I teased Jack
