blue sky, birds chirpping and scurrying about the sky and pine trees of Rüdeshiem am Rhien. suddenly to noise of nature is broken as laughter erupts from the mouths of three teenage girl, whome have been friends since before they could remember. the laughter belongs to anna sherberg and her friends, katie and emma, the girls are picking carnations for Anna's mother's birthday.
Katie
arent these just the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen.
Katie twist the petal of one of the flower between her fingers, Emma gives her a look of excitement as they walk up the hill snatching any flower in her path. Emma's always been the nature lover of the band of girls.
the girls must have pick the whole half of the hill side.
Emma
I dont think all of these flowers are gonna fit in this vase, anna.
Katie
it's ok, I can use some of these for mother's day this year. gokd thing Anna's mother's birthday falls only two days before mother's day.
Katie whispers hoping the other two girls wont notice her shameful claims to forgetting mother's day yet again this year. anna glances over to katie giving her a look that says 'I heard that, dummy'.
the door to the sherberg house creaks open as mrs. sherberg pops her head in and calls out for her daughter.

anna jumps from behind the sofa followed by her two friends.

anna hands her mother the vase of carnations and a hand made amethyst necklace and a card.

we picked those this morning mrs. sherberg!

they should last a while I sprinkled some of my moms magical flower powder on them that she uses at the green house.

the class of 405 was dead silent as 8:00 am was far to early for anyone to be bustling about, even though, somehow Mrs. Manclaster was scurrying around the room in her to-high high heels.

GOOOD MORNING!!!
the young, blonde history teacher always seemed alittle to awake for school mornings, there had once been a rumor about a student seeing her down 10 shots of espresso before class.
suddenly there was a knock on the door, before it opening and reveling the principal with a nervous looking boy, the principal pushed the boy into the class room after saying a few words of so called "encouragement ".

oh! we have a new student welcome to world history II, please take a seat...uh

oh yes, please take a seat anywhere u like Zane.
Zane looked around hurriedly before slamming himself down into the seat beside Anna. Emma who was in the seat to her right giggled at zane whule twisting her hair between her fingers.
emma nudged anna in the side before gesturing toward zane and wiggling her eyebrows.
Anna
stop it!! hes new dont scare him away yet!
anna turned toward zane and smiled waving at him.

hey new boy, zane right?

oh I'm anna, and this is my friend emma
anna gestured to emma who was making googly eyes at zane and giggling in a way that made her look more creepy than cute. zane laughed nervously and stiffened a bit in his chair not knowing how to take the girl beside Anna.
Anna
haha, dont mind her, she was dropped on the head as a child
anna laughed at her friend who was making a fuss over not being dropped on her head despite the stories katie had told.
Anna
so ur new, ur german is excellent.
zane
oh, thank u, haha. my dad made me practice vigorously so id be able to fit in.
Anna

alright kiddos! we have a test today, so whip out those lappy tops and get to testpro!
mrs. manclaster squeaky voice cut anna off as she to excitedly announced for the students to prepare for the test.
Anna
uh a test? at 8 o'clock in the morning?
Mrs. Manclaster
oh! zane you dont have to take the test since u havent learnt the material. you'll get a laptop tomorrow by the way.
*that after noon after school*
kids rushed out the doors of saint bellu high school, chatter and laughter faded as student went there seperate ways, to their parents or to their own cars or walked home. anna walked to her mother's car and open the door, she was followed by emma who always went home with Anna.

great as a school day can be I guess, we got a new kid, not from germany based on some speech errors.
Emma
not just a new kid! a new boy! cute too!
Anna
are boys all u ever think of emma!
the girls laughed and elbowed each other in the back of the car until they arrived in the Anna's house's drive way.

after dinner and homework the girls had went to Anna's room to talk. emma stayed most nights at Anna's house since her parents where hardly home, with both having work that took them from the house mostly all day and some nights.

ya I think yall have a shot, not just at being a couple but as friends, he seemed nice, not like the other idiots in our school, haha.
Anna
ha, I dont think we will reach the relationship level for quite sometime, I will be thankful if I make a friend out of him, he seemed super quiet and shy.
Emma
well ya it's a new school, hell, a new country and language.
Anna

anna turned off her light and rolled over as emma drifted into a dream filled sleep, anna stayed up thinking of zane and their future as friends.
