Aoi are you awake yet?
Yumi roughly shove Aoi to wake him up to no value. She sighed.
Yumi
Really Aoi? It the first day of university and this is how you’re gonna behave? How did you even passed your exams?
With determination in her brown eyes and a harsh push made Aoi fell out of the bed. His face slam to the wooden floor and a groan so quietly escaped his lip.
Aoi
Yumi… seriously. Can you be gentle?
Yumi
Aoi, how can I be gentle when we are 30 minutes late to class? You want me to whoop your *** next time?
Yumi
What were you doing so late last night? Did you drink again? Are you sober now? Want me to throw you a ice bucket?
Aoi
Yumi… can you shut up?
Aoi touch his throbbing head and with Yumi yelping and nagging nonstop cause the headache to increase.

His eyes was red obviously from crying and two pandas dancing around his eye bags definitely from not being able to sleep all night. Aoi’s body was tired. He has no energy to stand up and get ready. He just wanted to sleep for eternity. Maybe that will stop the nightmares from haunting him.

With his heavy body and his legs unstable, he made his way to the bathroom.
He unbutton his pajamas short sleeves shirt and pull down his short to his knee down. He turn on the shower, running behind while grabbing his toothbrush and paste, brushing ever slightly over his teeth. Hearing the running water behind him calm his nerves down and somehow today will be a better than yesterday he convinced himself.

Oh, Aoi! You’re done?
Yumi’s eyes wowed at Aoi.

Aoi have no idea how to respond to that.

… Yumi why didn’t you ditch me and go to class?

A smile lit on Yumi’s face. She grabbed Aoi’s hand and dragged him outside. Yumi’s laughing voice is like a lullaby to Aoi’s ear. Maybe today is a good? But Aoi shouldn’t get his hope up because every time he get his hope up. Something bad happens.

Aoi click on the notification and bring him to Jason’s text messages. He was about to text him when Yumi snatched his phone. Her texted was at the speed of light made Aoi hard to follow what she wrote.

She tossed back Aoi’s phone back to his hand. Aoi couldn’t help but smile as he read her text.

Yumi licked her mint flavor ice cream.

Aoi and Yumi ignored the stranger warning and hippy hop their way to the other side. Their laughters lingering around the street and their cheerful youthfulness bring a smiles to everyone there.

Yumi look for her keychain strap of an emoji poop. She noticed it was laying in the middle of the crossroad.

Aoi didn’t think much of it and head to the other side. When he turn around, all he could hear was the sound of the truck screeching and the sight of Yumi’s body laying in the ground bloody. Terror forms on his face as he quickly run toward her.
The sight of her distort body and blood dripping down to the road make his body shiver.
He couldn’t bring himself to move an inches closer nor his body allow him to take any further action as if his body has freezes in times.
The world fall apart before his eyes. Yumi, is the only person he considered as a friend. His most important friend… laying before him and all he can do is stare. He clenched his hands.

Two weeks ago was Yumi’s funeral… In a blink of an eyes, she no longer here with us. I always thought we will grows up together, supporting each other and watch as our own family grows.
Like a part of me has vanished. There will be no more Yumi in my life…
I wish I could close my eyes and pretend that everything is alright, but what I really hoping if it could just be a mere nightmare dreams I always have.

I don’t want to do anything. I don’t want to go to school.
I mumbled beneath my breaths. I don’t have any energy to do anything. I have also lost track of time, and the calendar that always full of events are now just an empty decoration to my room. There no more plans to look forward to… not with Yumi… no more….
