"Ah, Good morning, Gwyn! How was your sleep?" The Duchess has asked me.

"Oh, greetings Duke and Duchess! I slept very well! Thank you for letting me use one of your rooms!" I responded in a joyful manner.

"Gwyn Heldes! That is your name! You are not a guest! That is your room. Unless you don't like the room, then we shall prepare another one." The Duke had gotten a little angry with my words.

"Right! I forgot. Sorry." I mumbled 'sorry' to myself though. They always told me I apologized too much.

"It's fine. Just remember now, you're our sister, and they're your parents." One of my new brothers had said. His name was Zane.

I sat down at the dining room table. I was eating breakfast with a real family! My family! I always had a horrible life. I was the daughter of Baron Furas. They treated me very differently because my eyes were a bright red color and my hair was blond. All people with Furas blood in them had green eyes and dark brown hair. They had no sons. Only daughters- me, Darla, and Jane. I was the youngest. They always pushed me into doing things. The worst time was when they had sent me to war, I was disguised as a guy, I had to master the sword at seven, I went to war for the first time at 13. They were disappointed when I came back from my first war, but they laughed when I told them I got a scar above my ear and one on my right hand. They always sent me back to war. I would come back with more and more scars, they just laughed saying I would never get a husband.

I was the bad child. When Darla or Jane broke something, it was my fault, even if I was somewhere else. I went through so much. I was also used as the maids scapegoat. The worst of all, as a 16 almost 17-year old noble girl, I have never worn a dress.

It was a couple months ago when the Duke and Duchess attended a ball hosted by Baron Furas. They got lost and found me. They saw the state I was in, and they went to the Emperor to adopt me. It was last week, that I was officially adopted by them!

I've only sorta gotten used to living with brothers. Now, I have five brothers! The oldest is Bruce, next is Delias, then Atlas, then Zane, and finally Ezekiel. Atlas, Zane, and Ezekiel were triplets at the age of 17. Delias was 19, and Bruce was 21. That made me the youngest in the family. None of them were married yet so they all lived here still.

The Heldes family have all been nice to me. I even got my own personal guard! His name is Dominick Greveans, He's really nice! Plus, he's really good looking! He always helps me out! Although I'm not sure as to why he's working as a guard here. He is the heir to the Archduke Greveans household.

Truthfully, I think their still worried about me. I haven't worn a dress yet. All I wear is a pants, a blouse, and a jacket. That was all I had ever worn at the Furas estate. I wasn't allowed to wear anything that looked like a dress.  Especially since that was the easiest thing to fight or practice in.

Duchess Erian was staring at me most of the time we were eating breakfast. I kinda understood why the past few days. I didn't eat much. All I usually ate was an egg and a piece of toast with some jam. But these days I eat more because of the look her eyes are saying.  Today, I ate more than I usually did. For some reason though, Sir Dominick kept staring at me. Or maybe it was my food? I'm not sure. I think I'll have to ask him. If it was the food, I'll try to sneak him some snacks- the employes are super nice to me! But if he was staring at me, Oh, my! I think I might die from embarrassment! I think I'm blushing a little just thinking about it!

"Ah, May I be excused?" I had been getting used to doing this.

"Of course." The duke responded to me. It was normally the Duchess, but it looked like she had some food in her mouth.

"Well, then. I'll be going."

I headed to the doors. Sir Dominick bowed and followed behind me. I was going to go to the garden............. but I got lost.

"Um....... Lady Gwyn..... Are you lost? Would you like me to show you the way to the garden?" Sir Dominick said in a nice, calm tone.

"N-no! Why would you ever think that?!! Hahaha!............." I was getting nervous, the conversation was getting awkward.

'Oh, God! This is awkward! Super awkward' Gwyn was thinking while rubbing her arm.

"My lady. It's because we're at the training ground. Plus the fact that we've been walking around for about an hour." Again he said it in a calm voice even though it was STILL awkward.

"Ah ha! I know what's wrong! Sir Dominick you mustn't call me Lady! Just Gwyn! I get distracted when people call me Lady!" I was starting to forget the fact that I was lost.

"Alright. Then you must call me Dominick. But only when we're alone! I would get in so much trouble with the Duke and the Duchess!" He said that as he held out his pinky finger.

I took my pinky and we did a pinky promise. It was my first promise! And it was with Dominick!! After a couple of seconds I felt this weird aura around us.

I stood up on my toes and leaned over to whisper into Dominick's ear. "Do you feel that? I think someone is watching us. Is that just me?"

He pointed to the bush next to us. A bunch of knights popped out. They were all sweaty and looked tired.

"So that's the new Lady of the house! We finally get to meet her!!" One knight in the front spurted out.

"Finally! This house has way too many guys!!" Another one said looking at me.

"Oh ho ho! So that's why Dominick hasn't been coming to morning practice! He's got himself a girlfriend! And the new Lady at that!!" Yet again another knight said. We both blushed and stepped back when they said that.

"My Lady! You should come watch us!" The first spoke again.

"A-alright! I-I-I think that'd be fun!" I went to sit down on a bench to watch Dominick sat besides me, I was slightly blushing.

At the time, I had totally forgotten that Bruce was incharge of training the knights.

'If I hadn't told the knights to not pay attention to me, they probably wouldn't be able to focus. They seemed really excited to meet me for some reason!' I thought that with relief. I wasn't a very social person. Mind the fact that I had never been involved in the social world of aristocrats, nor even had my Debutante!

They were sparring one-on-one. Their skills were pretty impressive. Although there were a lot of flaws.

"Hey, Dominick! What's their names?" I pointed to only a couple on knights.

"That's Elijah, Stephan, Dez, Link, and Addison." Dominick said pointing to each one.

Ok. Thanks!" I replied back.

"ELIJAH! TURN YOUR LEFT FOOT 45 DEGREES! STEPHAN! HOLD YOUR SWORD PROPERLY! PRACTICE AS IF YOU"RE REALLY IN A WAR! DEZ! AT LEAST TRY TO BEAT YOUR OPPONENT! LINK!! WHEN HE RAISES HIS SWORD UP TO SWING, HIT UNDER! DON'T TRY TO BLOCK!! AND ADDISON! Come here." I yelled out to them. I think they were surprised.

Addison cam over and I whispered into her ear. "You should bind your chest better." I could see her face. She was shocked I knew. I continued "I don't think they allow girls here yet. I believe that they are still trying to make a law where girls can be knights. Do you need me to teach you how to do it tighter? You're wearing a corset type, right? Would you like me to help you tighten it?"

She was still shocked but she responded. "Y-you knew? W-w-would you help me? I don't want to get kicked out! I owe my life! Like most of the others here!"

I grabbed her hand and took her inside after telling the knights we'd be back. We went to my room. Dominick followed us inside.

"Ah, Ah. No, Dominick. Please wait outside. I don't think you wanna be in here." Dominick left after I said that.

I helped Addison tighten her corset. It took awhile, but we got it to the right tightness. She was very thankful. I opened the door and Dominick looked anxious.

"Are you alright, Dominick?" I asked him.

"Do you l-like Sir Addison?" He blushed and looked away while talking.

"No! Of course not! Secret, I was helping her tighten her corset type binder." I whispered to him.

"Her?! Addisons a girl?!" He looked even more shocked than Addison did when I told her I knew she was a girl.

"Now, Let's go back to the training area!"

When we got back Bruce was sitting on the bench we had sitten on. That's when it struck me! Bruce is in charge of training the knights! He saw me giving pointers to the knights! A normal Lady wouldn't know that!! What is he going to ask?

"Where did you learn all that knowledge about fighting?" Bruce asked

"Addison, you're excused to go back to training." I told her trying to avoid Bruce's question.

"Yes, My Lady." She responded and went back to training.

He said it again "Where did you learn all that knowledge about fighting?"

My head was starting to hurt. Memories of staying at the Furas estate came into my mind.

My eyes closed as I heard "LADY GWYN!!"

I saw memories of learning how to wield a sword, fighting, seeing comrades die, getting wounded, and them laughing at my scars.

I was screaming at my memories "STOP! STOP! I DON'T WANT TO!! NO! IT HURTS!!! STOP LAUGHING!! I don't want to."

My eyes opened. Everyone was staring at me the Duke, the Duchess, Bruce, Delias, Atlas, Zane, Ezekiel, Vara, Addison, a doctor, and Dominick. They all looked super worried.

"What's wrong? You all look super worried." I asked not knowing what was going on.

"What's wrong?! Gwyn, You fainted! Luckily, Dominick was right next to you, so he caught you. You've been asleep for five days! You were just screaming in your sleep!! What happened?!" The Duchess quickly explained.

"Oh, Was I? I didn't realize that. Sorry."
