Late at night Finch is sitting alone at a park looking at the stars

I didn't think living away from my friends and family would be so hard.

I really thought I could stick it out but now I'm thinking of going home after only a couple months.

Jay walks towards Finch and sits next to him on the park bench
Finch feels his heart jump as he looks at the face of the beautiful stranger
Finch stumbles over his words and conversation fails to begin between the two, so they sit in silence.
After some time the handsome stranger gets up and walks away

I wish I could have said something to him. He seemed to have a lot on his mind though
The next night Finch found himself back on the park bench, and after only a few minutes the handsome stranger returned, sat next to him, and the pair stayed in silent company

I've been seeing that man at the park for over two weeks now. I wonder if he knows I only go there to see him

Tonight I'll speak to him for sure!!
Finch spent the better park on the afternoon practicing what he was going to say to the stranger in the mirror

This meeting is running late, I need to wrap up soon if I'm going to get to the park to see the cutie tonight

Are you paying attention? This is a huge deal we need to make today

I'm listening, just hurry up. I've got places to be

Like where?! You only work! You don't even talk to your fiance

I've told you not to mention her, you know I want nothing to do with her. Some contract my parents signed when I was little has nothing to do with my adult life.

It was late when Jay finally made it to the park that night. Finch had worked himself into an anxious mess by then

He-hello... I thought you weren't coming

I got caught up at work... sorry
Although no previous plans were made Jay couldn't help feeling like he was late to a date

That evening the pair finally spoke to eachother. And once they started they couldn't stop. Sharing music and hobbies, funny stories and dreaming of the future. Before they knew it, the sun was rising and so they watched it together

How can I possibly choose what to wear tonight?! It's impossible.

You look great in everything you wear Finchy, I'm sure Jay will swoon tonight no matter what

That's so silly. You've been talking for weeks now. Just be yourself and he'll love you. If he doesn't it's his loss, and I'll get a reason to polish my shovel
After destroying the contents of his wardrobe several times over, Finch was finally on his way to the restaurant

The couple were nervous that night, and so the bottle of wine they shared emptied a little faster, and soon another was ordered and emptied too

It's getting late Little Finch, I'd best take you home.

I... I don't want to go home yet, I want to stay with you

I know somewhere we can go
On their bench Jay's warm hard grasped Finch's cold one, and both tense bodies slowly relaxed into eachother

I feel things for you I've never felt before. When I see you after a stressful day at work, even just sitting in silence next to you, you take all my worries away
Finch
I feel the same way, all those hours with you here has made me so happy
The flush on their cheeks that evening could no longer be attributed to the cold
