Emily's POV: living with my father wasn't so great when being his little punching bag when he was upset, I try not to anger him at any cost and would always hide away in my room away from him but today was a peaceful day just sitting in my room writing in my diary which was my only safe space amongst the family.

"Emily a handsome mafia man that goes by the name of Jason would be having dinner with us," my father with a heavy voice said walking into my room without knocking. I was looking at the floor as he continued to speak, "I expect you to be nice, dress nice, and don't embarrass me in front of him so now get up and go get ready".

As he left my room slamming the door, I rolled my eyes and began to look through my closet looking for a nice suitable dress to wear tonight. " Why does my father always have to be so cruel," I said to myself while picking up a red long off-shoulder sparkly dress that my father gave to me from my mother when she passed, I missed her so much alto I had my brothers Tim and Brian with me. It was never the same since we are one of the third-largest mafia clans which is why my father would have a lot of people over and would have parties and games for everyone.

The night began to fall as I was finished getting dressed as my brothers came to get me, "you guys know I can walk down the stairs by myself" I said looking up at them. "Yes, but father sent us to come and get you because the guest is here," Tim exclaimed before taking my hand and leading me down the stairs to the dining room.

As we entered the dining room my father's face lit up like he saw a ghost but, it was the same expression he would look at my mother with, I couldn't help but look at the tall handsome figure across the table from where I would be sitting I couldn't help but stare and wonder off in my head before I heard the deep voice of my father as I went to have a seat.

We were enjoying the food when my father looked at me and Jason before speaking.

"Emily you will be having an arranged marriage with Jason," he said with a delighted voice and a smile on his face.

"What you can't do this to me," I said as I jumped up from my seat pushing it back. "Emily this is not a discussion so sit down because you're leaving with him right after this," he said in a deep angered voice, so I did like he said because I would remember what happens when we disobeyed him.

As it became close to midnight the tall handsome guy shook my father's hand and walk to his car, I didn't move a muscle until I saw my father walking toward me with a serious look on his face as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the front door,

"Father stop she's your daughter don't do this to her," Brian said with an upset and sad look on his face as he tossed me in front of the door I quickly got up and ran outside to the man's car as I watch my brothers faces as the car drove off into the distance.

Jason's POV: I sat in the car as I saw her run to the car in fright as if she was being chased by something or someone as the car began to drive off.

I didn't have time to date or get along with any

Other females because I was always busy and didn't have time for them, but my parents insisted that I get married just for the business which I debated and said that I can handle business on my own, but they didn't believe that, so I had no choice but to agree to this arranged marriage.

My father forced said that I should meet the family of the girl I'm supposed to marry but all I can think about is how spoiled this girl could be I didn't have the time and effort for it but I can't go against my parents or my father would kill me without hesitation.

I look at her as she was looking out the window onto the mountains, I stopped gazing at her and went back to handling business on the phone as usual paying no attention to her before we reach my house.

Emily's POV: the car drove up to this big house that I'd never seen before because it was bigger than my father's house, the car stopped there was a man and a woman in front of the house waiting.

As I got out of the car I was a bit shocked and freaking out and scared to meet them because didn't know any of them, but I followed behind Jason a few steps because I didn't know him well and this is the first time leaving my home because my father always thought I would bring shame towards him anywhere I go.

I stepped to the side as the front doors opened, and we entered, the house was very massive on the inside with a lot of expensive things, but I was distracted by the decor until a deep voice spoke from behind me "so you must be the girl my son will have to marry" Jason's father said as he pressed his hand across my cheek "yes sir my name is Emily" I said while being nervous, "you don't have to be nervous" he said with a grin, but Jason cut him off before anything else.

"Father stop flirting with my bride to be, and my mother is right there" he grabs my hand as he watched his father disgusted, and we walked up the stairs to his bedroom, "this will be our room but don't expect me to be sleeping with you in bed I have a lot of work to do so don't ever come to bother me," he said in a demanding voice.

I looked at him as he walked out of the room, "I can't believe my father would give me away to someone I don't even know and expects me to be happy and I don't even have feelings for him" I said to myself as I flopped onto the bed curling up in a ball hugging one of the pillows, I got up and went in the shower as I was finished I had remembered that I didn't have any clothes with me so I went to the closet as I opened it I saw one of his shirts and decided to put it on and went to bed.
