Chapter 2 : The Rebirth

*In an unknown house*

Woman

Your Excellency! The baby is not breathing!

Man

What?! Give the baby to me!

The unknown man made his hands glow green and put his hand on top of the baby.

Man

Come on. Please. Don't leave me, also. I can't lose you, too. Please make this work. I am begging you. Please breathe.

The man continues to use the green light in his hand in the baby not realizing that his tears streams down his face.

Woman 2

Your Excellency! The poison was too potent. I am sorry, Your Excellency, the child did not survive.

Man

No! I refuse to give up. I already lost my wife. I can't lose her too.

Woman 2

I'm sorry, Your Excellency! I truly am.

The man refused to give up but after a while, with no response from the baby, he sloely took his hands away from the baby. Slowly understanding that it was too late.

The man holds the baby tightly and slid down on to the floor. Sobbing quietly and mourning for his lost child and wife.

After a while, composing himself, he put the baby beside his unresponsive wife. He caressed his unresponsive wife and gave her a last kiss on her chapped lips.

He glanced to his baby and caressed her face. He kissed her forehead while a lone tear slid from his face in to the baby's face.

He stepped back and crossed the room. Intending to get out of the suffocating atmosphere of the room, knowing that if he stay for one more second in the room, he, too, will lose his mind from the anguish and grief from this tradegy.

Upon holding the door knob, a low coo broke the suffocating silence of the room.

The man's head turned to the direction of the baby's form so fast that one will thought that he could break his neck from it.

The baby's low coo slowly turned into wails and her arms flail in the air, as if it was looking for something to hold on to.

The man runs so fast to the child and holds her. He stared at the child intently and noticed that the baby was having trouble breathing.

Man

DOCTOR! CHECK ON HER IMMEDIATELY!

The Doctor took the baby from the Man's hand and frantically tried everything to maek sure the baby will live.

*Crying* [Thoughts] [ugh. What's going on? I thought I died? I can't breathe. What is this???]

Chione Heroux (FL)

[My body feels heavy. I can't open my eyes. I am in comatose?]

Chione Heroux (FL)

*Feels a warm and soothing feeling washed through her entire body* (Feeling calm and sleepy) [Ugh. Whatever. I will deal with this later. For now, I want to sleep.]

Thus, our FL fell asleep not notcing the commotion that was happening in her surroundings.

Chapter 3 : The Family

*On a random day*

*A baby's room*

A low cooing sound could be heard inside the room.

The door opened, in which that action gained the little baby's attention.

Nanny Lina

Oya...? Our little princess is awake?

The nanny strides towards the cot and stared at the baby. The baby made a cooing noises and smiled brightly at the nanny.

Nanny Lina

Are you hungry? Wait a moment, princess. I will prepare your milk.

After the nanny made the milk, she returns to the princess, took the little baby and put her on her arms. The nanny, then, assisted the baby in holding her bottle as she sucks the top of the bottle and drink her milk.

The baby stared at the nanny and slowly immersing in her own thoughts.

*Drinking her milk* [Thoughts] [Ugh. What a life. Many things had happened every since I gained consciousness. First, it seems like I had been reincarnated. What a freaking cliche move.]

[I need to rearrange my thoughts first or else I'm going to get crazy due to many unbelievable shts that was happening in my life. I don't know how many weeks or months had passed since my birth as I was being in and out of consciousness for a while. I need to understand what's going on in my life.]

[To begin with, seems like I had been named as Chione. I still don't know what is my last name is. From my room itself, looks like I am from a rich family, and with the way they are calling my current-life father as "Your Excellency", it seems like my father is of a high standing figure.]

[I also have two brothers though, unfortunately, I had only met them twice since I gained consciousness. I don't even know their names. (😑) To be clear, I am in quarantine as of now due to the absolute tradegy of my birth. Only a few trusted individuals are allowed to serve me and there's a limit in visiting me here in this room.]

[Now regarding the tradegy of my birth, according to the gossips of the maids, my birth mother passed away giving birth to me. At first, I was upset about it. Questions like why did she gave up her life giving birth to someone they don't even know yet. Why did she choose me over living. It sent me into depressive state as I have no idea what was really happening.]

[But overtime, it slowly clears up that it was not my fault that my mother died giving birth to me. Apparently, my Mother was poisoned which then induced her into labor. Basically, I was still 31 weeks in her stomach, or in other words, she was still in her 7 months of pregnancy. My mother knows that she does not have enough time to live, that's why she decided to take the chance to give birth to me. It cost her giving birth to me, her life. It almost causes me to lose my life also. However, due to the efforts of my father trying to heal me, I survived.]

[I was born prematurely. There are many complications in my health right now and seems like there are still leftover poison lingers in my bloodstream for a while, that's why I am still in a quarantine. I almost become a past tense a couple of times, but it seems like I am quite the stubborn mule and survived it multiple times.]

Chione finished drinking her milk and the nanny started patting her back to make her burp all the gases she managed to intake.

(BURP) [Ugh. That's embarrassing. I thought there was a frog inside the room. That burp was loud. But then again, that was relieving.]

The nanny set Chione down in her cot and decided to start cleaning her room a little bit. Chione stared at her toys above her and continued her thoughts.

[Anyways, where am I in my thoughts?... (🤔). Ah.. right..! My birth... I still have some small glimpses of what happened that day. I, sometimes, still think about the voices of a sobbing man begging me to survive. Which now I realize was my father. That is why I decided that I will now continue living this life and honour my mother who sacrifice her life to save me. I am still a little bit upset about what happened. But nothing will come good if I continued being depressed about it. I just regret that I had not met my mother. She seems like a very nice person. It's really hard to lose someone so precious. I just know her from the gossips of the maids, yet I already felt grief in losing her, What more does my father and brothers feeling right now. I just hope that they will not resent me overtime. Though, As far as I can see, it doesn't seem that way regarding my father. He seems like he genuinely cares about me.]

The door suddenly opened and a man as well as two young boys entered the room. The actions broke Chione's thoughts and gained her attention. She looks at the new arrival and smiled brightly. The nanny bowed when she saw who came inside.

Nanny Lina

Your Excellency! Good Afternoon.

Maximillian Heroux (FL Father)

Nanny Lina. You can go now. We will take care of Chione.

Nanny Lina

Of course, Your Excellency! Have a good day. *Bows and leave*

The young boy strides towards the cot and had a staring contest with chione. He then lifts his hands and pokes her cheeks.

Chione giggled and raised her arms to grab the boy's index finger.

Maximillian, then, took Chione from her cot and sat down on a reclining chair. The boys' followed and sat down on beside them. The two boys started chatting with each other while Maximillian just listened to them.

Chione, then, grabbed her father's fingers and played with them. She also stared at them and started examining their features.

[My father is really a handsome man. The first time I saw him, I was shocked and almost become a past tense not because of my fragile health, but due to the adonis of the man that, that was my father. I never thought I could be this lucky in this life.]

Chione giggled which gained the attention of her family.
