‘I think it’s time!’

‘Time for what Elijah?’

‘To tell Marcus the truth and father the rest’

‘And then what Elijah?huh? Put their lives in danger too. It’s not the right time and there never will be a right time.’

‘But mother, there is a lot going on right now, I think we should tell them.’

Door opens,’tell who what?’

’oh, hello father, I was just asking mother if we can tell Marcus what’s been going on.’

‘I think you should let your mother and I talk about this first.’

‘I was actually leaving, I have a meeting to get to with some clients and I don’t need your pity and you acting like you care!’

A rainy day is just what I needed after a tragic meeting with my abominable excuse for parents. I sit in my office with a cup of some tea to relax me on days like this. Not until my door opens.

‘I guess your meeting with mother and father didn’t go too well?’

’how did you guess?’ ‘Twin telepathy!’ Replied Marcus.

‘Grow up Marcus, please’ ‘ and I guess we both know that I don’t give a bloody shit about what they think or say’

’oh, how so, you seem to be their number one fan and they seem to like it that way.’

‘What do want in my office anyway?’

’just wanted to let you know I will be leaving early today.’

’ok I don’t care just make sure that you’re back cause we’re receiving a new shipping tonight.’

‘Ok so why do you need me?’ ‘I thought you were the hard core twin?’

‘As much as I agree with your disposable conclusion, we are being watched and I could use some of your skill to deal with hat problem.’ ‘So 10pm sharp be there no delays.’

‘Ok boss whatever you say.’

10:05pm. As the grey clouds filled the sky and cool breezes of false rain, I was patiently waiting for my work to begin. Although I had been doing this for many years, something fell oddly different about today.

‘Hello brother. I am here.’

‘you’re late!’

’yeah by like one minute.’ ‘Five actually!’ Groaned Elijah

‘What were you doing anyway?’

’ I was just dropping my date off at her place.’

’ Date? You were late cause of a date?’ ‘ who was the unfortunate girl this fine evening?’

‘Her name is Veronica and she is anything but unfortunate’ ‘ to know it wouldn’t killing you to go out and be a little bit poem to world and do something other than work.’

‘Look Marcus, I didn’t call you here so that here can have a chatter about my introvert self , your extrovert self or your repulsive girlfriend.’

‘Now get back to work, you can let go of the girl for now.’

’ Her name is Veronica! Shouted Marcus.

’ Just because I asked for her name once doesn’t mean I need to hear it twice. Now get to work!’

11:45pm. As the night continued to fall, I kne that something wasn’t right about that mission. I could notice the unusual shadows in the corner, the excess security cameras and the unusual night patrol by the docks. The police were on to is and without a doubt I always right.

‘Mr Elijah Adams, to why soho owe the pleasure of meeting you here.’

’Commisioner Reynolds, good to see you too.’

‘Now tell me Mr Adams, what is the owner of one of the worlds best tech companies doing at the docks at almost midnight?’ ‘ Way to begin an interrogation commissioner. I am actually here to pick up the newest shipping for the company.’

‘And since we are on the asking questions basis,what is the highest ranking officer at the station doing on patrol duty at the docks?’

‘Just checking on what goes on in my city at night, Mr Adams.’

’ Since we both have answers to our questions, I see that there is no need for us to continue this conversation, Mr commissioner. I will surely take my leave now, see you around commisioner.’

As I left I knew that that conversation was over but his suspicions will never be.

Commisioner Reynolds has been trying to pull the guilty card on the Adams family for many years but he is actually adding fuel to a fire he shouldn’t even be near to.

Another morning in the office, just like any other nothing but dispare, rage and guilt fill my body. With no where and no one to turn to, it becomes harder and harder to survive in this cruel word day by day. But I’ve come to discover that life doesn’t revolve around feelings and emotions but around the hard work that is put into gaining power and a place for yourself in the world.

Unfortunately a knock from the door woke me up from my deepest thoughts. ‘Come in!’

‘I should have known it was you. What do you want?’

’ Is it a crime for a mother to visit her son once in a while.’

‘You bringing me into this world was a crime enough and having to see almost every day of my life just makes it worse. So now tell me, what do you want?’

‘Fine, Marcus told me that the commissioner was there at the last shipping. So what did you tell him?’

‘That we were receiving a new shipping for the company. Is that all you came here for? If yes then you may take your leave,please!’

‘Good day to you too son.’

Nothing causes an outburst in my rage quite like the sight of my mother. She is the root cause of most of the unexplainable circumstances in my life and as much as I don’t want to face any emotions for them I am forced to. It would be my greatest desire to eradicate her from my life but to my disappointment, she is an essential part of my life plan, not the personal perspective but rather the professional perspective.

Unfortunately the only thing that can put out the raging fire that my mother sets to my soul is the presence of my annoying brother. But my pride will never allow me to let him know that despicable truth.
