It was a dark stormy night I was walking down the street alone no where to go. My stepmom told me she pick me up from school that day but it never happened. You were walking down the street with you mom and dad.

“Don’t you ever scream at me you insolent child go to your room RIGHT NOW!!!” she said. I ran to my room in tears. “ When I grow I’m gonna leave this house and be free” I said crying. I kept thinking will I ever be free of the life I’m living though or will I just die in this house alone with the witch and and her two stupid daughters. “Dad why did you have to die why couldnt you lived”, “we would be living the life why did you have to get killed” I whined.

The next day

I woke up and took a shower ready to leave the house when I felt something in the pockets of my dress. “AAAAHHH” I screamed. I found a frog in the pockets of my dress. My stepsisters laughed at me and said “ Oh look Megan you found your twin hahaha.” I got the frog ran after my stepsister and made her kiss the frog and I said “ Kiss the frog let see if it will turn into a human!”. “Mom!!” My other stepsister Vivian shouted. “ Megan making Alexa kiss a frog!” she shouted. My stepmom enter the room with her wig halfly on screaming “Megan stop right now and get your *** to school.” I stoped and ran out the door as quick as I could laughing so hard I almost choked seeing her like that was a dream come true. At school I would get bullied and come home in bruises sadly but I knew if I was gonna get strong to deal with the witches I had to endure the pain.

10 years later

It was March 28, 2023 I’m 17 now in my senior year now. I was walking down the hallway with my best friend Esther when Leon Chi came down the hallway. Leon Chi is the richest guy in school correction the richest guy in the country. I looked over at Esther and she was already drooling. “Esther what the big deal with this guy all he is rich and cute what else is he any ways,” I said. “But he hotte plus he is amazing at basketball and get straight A’s” Esther said. “So I still don’t see the fuss over him” I said. “ Your just saying that because you never had dating experience unlike me” she said. “ The doesn’t matter let’s just go to class it starts in two minutes” I said. “Your no fun you really need to loosen up plus how are suppose to get through with all these fans anyway look like we have to stay and watch” she said. “ Nope I’ll just make a way” I said. I shove my way through the crowd trying to reach the door when I suddenly tripped and faced planted on the floor right in front of Leon.

Leon kneeled down asking me “ Are you okay” with his hand out. I quickly got off the floor and said “I’m alright just trying to get pass the door but all you “fans” are in my way”. Then I pushed him aside and went in to my class.

When school I was taking out some stuff out of my locker when I suddenly get drenched with water. I look behind me and see Mia Fo she’s the most popular girl in the school but also in my book the most annoying girl in school. Mia was holding a water bottle in her hand and said “opps did I get you wet”. She snapped her fingers and her two sidekicks Grace and Madeline came and started throwing punches at me. They hit me and hit me but I didn’t even try to dodge cause I didn’t even care. Then Esther came and shout “ stop it” and then went in front of me to shield me. A huge crowd started to appear all around us. Grace dragged Esther by the hair and moved her out the way. That’s when I lost my cool. I stood up and punched Grace in her jaw and kicked Madeline in the stomach. I asked Esther if she was alright and was about to pick her up from the ground when Mia aim her fist me ready to punch me when I looked aside to Mia I knew I didn’t have time to dodge it. When suddenly it didn’t hit me for some reason. I looked and saw Leon there holding Mia’s fist. Mia put her hand down and said “ Oh hey Leon I was just playing with her don’t get yourself involved with people like her how about we go for ice cream or something sense schools over,” while wrapping her arms around him. He said “I don’t think you were just playing around with her if she would have taken that punch to the face it would hurt a lot.” “Of course in like do you have any common sense” I thought. He looked at me and Esther saying “Both of you should head to infirmary” he said that looking worried for some reason. When I went home I had a bigger surprise waiting for me. I opened the door and screamed “ I’m home! ” My stepmom and stepsisters were there waiting for me already sitting on the on the couch. “ So your stepsisters said you interacted with Leon Chi the richest boy in the country” she said with a smirk on on her face. I said “ Sure so what”. “Have I ever told u loved you my sweetheart” my stepmom said. “ Cut the act what do you want” I said. “ I want you to seduce Leon to becoming your boyfriend so we can take his fame and fortune” she said. “No way that just being stupid plus you can just ask one of your daughters not like we’re related so I don’t have to listen to you” I said with disapproval written all over my face as I stormed out of there. “I can’t believe that witch ask me that,” I said over the phone with Esther. “Yeah that’s totally messed up” Esther said. “But I wouldn’t do it for his fame and fortune I would do for that handsome face of his” Esther said. “Of course you would” I said. The next day at school I ran into Leon and for some reason he offered me to go out from food. Esther was shaking me saying yes but I said “No sorry.” Day after day he kept asking me the same question and I kept on saying no. Until one day I said “Yes.” Mainly because I thought if I said yes this time he won’t ask again. He told me to meet him at Q’s- Foods at 7 o-clock. I knew that I would have to sneak out cause if my stepsister figured out I was going out somewhere I’d be dead. So at 6:30 I escaped through my window and ran to the bus stop. When I arrived I didn’t see him at all then out of nowhere some man came up to me and pulled on me trying to push me in his van he covered my mouth so I couldn’t talk then another guy came out with a syringe and put a drug in me and I slowly blacked out.

When I woke up I was in a house laying in bed. I quickly stood up and headed for the door. As I peaked out the door I heard a familiar voice coming from the room the 2 doors next to the one I was in. I tipped toed slowly opening the door with me fist in the air ready to punch a guy. When I was right in front the door about to open the door but it suddenly opened and standing there was Leon there with only his towel on his waist. My face got red quickly as I was checking him out with my eyes wide opened. “You done checking me out” Leon said. “I uh, you wish” I stuttered looking away. Okay I’ll believe” he said. Then it just hit me. “Where am I? Is Leon my kidnapper? Maybe he is a rich guy in day and kidnapper at night,” I thought as my face scrunched up thinking. He saw my face like that and asked “ Um you okay you kinda looked well messed up.” “Where am I first of all secondly are you kidnapper and your trying to use me and sell me off to someone or something or you trying to sell my body parts you weirdo,” I said keeping my distance. “What? No what the why would I even do something like that I tell you what happened just come in and sit down,” he said. “Can you at least put some clothes first,” I said blushing. He smirked and said this pinning me against a wall “but sweety your in my house so my house my rules.” “Try anything and I’ll send your a** to jail try me” I said with a fierce look in my eyes. “Your no fun” he said pouting. He put some clothes on and invited me in his room. I went in and he explained everything to me. He said that when he got there he saw a man shoving me in a car and rescued me. Sense I was out cold he brought me to his house cause he didn’t know were I lived. I looked at my phone and saw that a day already passed since it happened. There were 13 miss calls from my stepmom and one voice mail. I played the voice out loud and listen to her voice screaming “Megan were the hell are you if don’t get back this instant you’ll wish you’d never disobeyed me!!!!!” “Dang it must be hard living in your house” Leon said. “Well she only treats me like that not my stepsister so I honestly don’t care about it she can threaten me all she wants I just don’t care about it”, “ Anyhow thanks for helping me but I better be on my way before she get more mad at me” I said. “Yeah, bye” Leon said.

15 minutes later

I was standing right outside my house waiting for the punishment that was before me. I opened the door and no one was there. I looked around the house but didn’t see anyone. I went to my room and saw a whole list of things to do. “Clean the pool, dust off the tables, and clean out the gutters, what the heck even is that again she will be the death of me” I said. 5 hours later “Okay I finished everything on the list” I said. Bzzzz Bzzzz my phone rang it was Esther. I picked up the phone and Esther screamed “Megan come to the Wrentzels right now I got to tell you something important.” “So do I,” I said. “Well mines more important,” she said. “ Well see” I said.
