"I swear I died!" Fei couldn't believe the situation she's in. She's sitting in a hospital bed. The room is big and expensive. The scent of fresh flowers lingers in the air.

"So I didn't die huh."

A while ago Fei was walking in the busy streets of Capital C without any care around her when suddenly she was hit by something fast and hard. It was painful for a moment but after a few seconds she felt dizzy and gasping for air. She couldn't breathe nor felt the pain from being hit. Then everything is dark until she loses all her consciousness.

"Why is it not painful?" Fei asked herself. She's wondering why she just felt weak. She looked at her body, starting from her arms to her feet which is covered by the hospital blanket.

"When did I become this skinny? And why does my skin look this good? I should have bruises now. "

She heard the door open and immediately looked at the unfamiliar person who arrived.

"Lily!" the unfamiliar girl run towards her and gave her a hug. "Thank God, finally you're awake. Were so worried about you! I'll call Mr. Carson now!"

Fei is confused as to what is happening. "Who's this woman? And why is she hugging me and calling me Lily? And who's Mr. Carson? Like Carson the wealthiest family here in Capital C?" she asked herself.

"W-wait. I think you're in the wrong room." Fei said.

The girl stopped and looked at her with a shock face.

"No way! Don't tell me!!! For real?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh my god! Doctor I must call the doctor!" the girl shouted and run immediately out the room.

"Crazy." Fei smirked and unconsciously glanced at her left side. What a beautiful view. She stared on an unfamiliar face in the window glass for more than a minute. Who's this girl. Pretty but looked sick.

"Wait. What??" Fei exclaimed and touched her face. "No way what happened! Why do I looked like someone else. This is not me!"

She removed the cables and tubes connected to her body and run towards the comfort room. She was astounded with her reflection which is not her.

This is not me. This is someone else and this is crazy. Did I got switched with someone else's body? This is a dream! Is it? This is impossible! No way there's a case like this in real life. This only happens to movies and books. This must be a dream! When am I waking up?!

Dumbfounded, she heard the door open and footsteps run towards her. Fei didnt looked back, shes looking at her own reflection.

"Miss Dyson! Please return to your bed. You need the fluids!" the doctor exclaimed. "You're bleeding!"

"Lily!" the girl from before looked like she was about to cry.

"Tell me. Is this real?" Fei asked. Still not looking back.

"Lily please listen to the doctor. What happened? Can't you remember us? Are you still confuse?" The girl asked.

"What date is today?"

"I-its December 17, 2016."

December 17, 2016? It was December 12 when I got hit by a vehicle. It's been 5 days. Is everything real then? So, i'm dead already? And i'm in someone else's body. For reals? How could it be. It's impossible.

"Lily please. What's happening to you? Please rest, youre always making me worried! Dylan will be worried also for sure!"

Fei looked at the girls face. Then she felt hazy all of a sudden.

Blurred faces suddenly flashed in her memories. She couldn't hear anything suddenly, then everything is in hazy. Different voices plays on her ears, the girls voice and a man's voice.

"Lily."

"Lily!!!"

Thud.

Fei fainted but she was caught immediately by the girl and has fallen safely in her arms.

"You're awake now."

Fei immediately scanned the room to see where the voice was coming from. She saw a tall guy sitting on the comfy chair across her bed with his legs crossed.

The guy is no doubt the most handsome guy she's ever met in her lifetime. Pale skin, brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. Fei is getting the familiar feeling. It's as if she has known this handsome creature for a long time but she can't remember.

"Who are you?" Fei asked.

"You really can't remember anything?" he asked.

The room is quiet. Fei can only hear the ticking of the clock. The overall ambience of the room is quiet, dark and sad. She didn't know where she was getting the feeling.

"I really don't know you all. I'm confused."

The man stood up and walked towards her. This guy has this domineering aura sorrounding him.

"Lily. I'm Dylan Carson, your fiance." he said with a straight face while giving Fei the intense look.

"D-dylan?"

The man's face suddenly changed as if he felt a sudden relief. Maybe he thought that Fei remembered him.

"That's why. You're familiar, Dylan. I saw you before from magazines and television. B-but sorry really i'm not Lily." Fei looked away. She felt embarrassed looking at Dylan. For her, this guy is no ordinary guy. It's the heir of the most influential family in Capital C. How dare of her to look straight into his eyes. And above all this guy is really handsome while she looks awful.

"No. You're Lily. The doctor said you're confused because of the medication. You've been asleep for a long time. Your memories will return after some time, so rest. Don't think too much." Fei can feel a hint of anger from Dylan's voice. His facial expression also changed and he's frowning now.

"S-sorry to upset you."

"No worries."

"Ah D-dylan. You mentioned. I've been asleep for a long time. How long?"

"7 months."

"That long?!" Fei was shocked to learn that the body she's in now has been asleep for 7 months already. "That's why this body is so thin. And weak. But why is her skin so good?" She said to herself.

Dylan sat beside her and started stroking her hair. Fei can feel the sincerity with his action. She suddenly felt sad for him. Lily is Dylan's fiance and he must adore her very much. It's sad that Lily is nowhere and the soul of a common girl like her was stuck with Lily's body.

"You have to get better so that you'll go home soon" he told her.

"S-sorry s-sir but really. I'm not Lily." Fei hates lying. Her conscience won't be able to take it if she ends up pretending to be someone else and steal someone's fiance. It's better to hurt someone from the very beginning than to lie and hurt a sincere person.

Dylan stopped stroking her hair and frowned. His eyes as if asking her who the hell she is then?

"I can't explain it and I don't know what happened. It's not that I can't remember you but it's because we never had any memories together. I just woke up and found myself here. I have my memories, my own memories but not as Lily because I've never been Lily."

Dylan stood up quietly and looked at her.

"I'm just a commoner who's trying to make ends meet. I am not special. I'm living far from my parents who are living in the country. This might sound crazy but I just woke up in this body. I was hit by a car 5 days ago and I thought I died already. Please believe me!"

Dylan didn't say anything. He just turned and walked away. Fei was left alone in the room. It's night time and the whole room is swallowed by darkness with only a very faint light coming from the small lamp of the room. Everything is in silence.

"Does it mean that Lily is gone?" Dylan asked Dr. Hendricks.

"I'm afraid so."

"Is there any way I can bring her back?!"

"Mr. Carson, this is a very rare case with no medical research or references that may help us. This is a soul we are talking about. This is something happening inside a person's body and mind. We can't do anything at this time but we'll keep on observing her. The only thing you can do for now is accept and try to move forward."

"If you can't bring Lily back, I'll bring her back!" Dylan shouted.

"Look Mr. Carson. I know you are upset. But don't do something that will make you hurt Lily's body. Once the body is gone, you'll lose her, forever."

"Hello. Are you still awake?" a familiar voice awakens Fei's consciousness. She's been zoning out ever since Dylan left the room.

"The girl."

"Hey, don't call me that. I'm hurt. Why call your best friend the girl?" The girl walked towards Fei. She's smiling but her eyes are sad. "I can't blame you though. Mr. Carson told me that you're not Lily and all the crazy stuff."

"I'm sorry."

"Hey don't be. It's not like you stole Lily's body or something aren't you?"

"Yeah. Why would I do that. I didn't even know who Lily was."

"Really?! T-then who are you then?"

"Huh?" Fei was confused with the question. It sounds wrong. Why does it sound like she's expecting her to know Lily. Her first statement then is not a question, but an accusation. There's something weird about these rich people. Why does it feel like this situation is kind of normal for them and doesn't look crazy or impossible? It felt like this is expected to happen.

"I'm sorry. It's because you've been saying that you're not Lily so i'm curious about your real identity."

"Ah okay. You're Lily's best friend right? You mentioned it awhile ago."

"Yeah! I'm Gigi Gardner! We've been best friends since 5, along with Dylan!"

"You three are childhood friends? Wow."

"You see, your parents made you stay in our house for a very long time since they are working in Country M! My mom and your mom are best friends and our fathers are business partners. Dylan's family however are close to ours also. Dylan used to live with his grandfather in our neighborhood. We always visit the old man's villa to read books for him."

"Dylan's grandpa liked you very much because you're a sweet sunshine and you're the only one who can talk to his grandson patiently. You see Dylan had a problem with his speech when we were kids and other kids tended to laugh at him or avoid him. But you helped him a lot before and you're very nice to that snob guy. Grandpa then decided that when you two reached the age of 24, you'll get married thus you ended up being his fiance and you two didn't mind because you both liked each other."

"Wow. Lily must be really an amazing person! Now I get why he's so frustrated a while ago. I didn't mean to upset him."

"Well. Lots of things happen, and Dylan has been long upset already."

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Too personal already, you see I've said a lot already but you didn't tell me who you are."

"Ahh yeah I forgot. I'm Belle Lu."

"What a unique name. You're not from capital C? Your surname doesn't ring a bell to me hahahaha see the pun?" Gigi jokingly exclaimed.

"Yeah. I'm from Country D. Were 8 hrs away from the Capital. I'm living alone here in the capital to earn a living. I'm working as a barista in Downtown Cafe."

"Downtown C-cafe?" Gigi's face suddenly changed.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Uh I've been there before but haven't seen anyone with Belle's name."

"Ah that. It's because i'm not using my real name. I use the pet name my mom gave me. You see in our place Belle is a fairy's name. I'm often referred to as Fei instead of belle which also means fairy."

A loud thud was heard in the room. Gigi dropped her phone on the floor. She immediately picked it up.

"Sorry I forgot something, I need to go. Sorry Belle. I'll visit you next time! Gotta go haha!"

Fei can only hear the loud bang after Gigi leaves the room.

"What a day. I have to sleep." Fei falls into a deep slumber.

Fei's POV

It's 12:45, and I will be discharged today! Finally I will be out of this place. I really hate the smell of the hospital. It's not also helping me on how I feel these days. This place is giving me a sad and unsettling feeling.

Gigi explained to me on what is to happen after I leave the hospital. She told me that Lily has been staying at Carson's mansion for quite some time after her engagement with Dylan. She was studying but had to stop because of her sickness. Gigi, however didn't tell me what Lily's illness is.

I always thought that Lily had it all, but life has also not been too easy for her. By age 13, Lily lost her parents in a car accident. A relative claims Lily's custody. Gigi's parents don't want to give Lily as they find those people skeptical but it's the law and they have to follow.

Later on, Gigi's family find out that the relatives are not taking care of Lily and she even stopped going to school. They don't care about her and they are just after the inheretance. Good thing everything was secured and the evil family wont get any coin from it. After 2 years of fighting for the custody, the Gardner family was able to get Lily and gave the life she lost.

But Lily has been sick after that. It affects her relationship to everyone, not only Gigi but also Dylan. And when she turned 18, she was engaged to Dylan and moved to the Carson mansion.

"Lily, Dylan said he'll let Mr. Kho picks you up."

"Who's that?"

"Carson's butler. You two are close before, that's why Dylan trusted him. He's quite busy today so he can't make it."

"I understood. Mr. Carson is so busy these days, he didn't even visit me."

"Ooh Lily's upset." Gigi jokingly told her.

"N-no i'm not. What right do I have to get upset? I'm not even Lily."

"You know, you can be Lily then."

"I can't do that. No way I'm gonna claim her life and her relationship with you people. I feel sad because Lily is such an amazing and strong person. Why would I do such a thing."

"You're right. You can't be her. She's different. We treasure every memory we have with her."

"Gigi. I'm confused right now. What will happen to me then. Do I really have to live the life Lily had or just return to where I belong?"

"Are you crazy, of course you have to live the life Lily once had. It's way better than your previous life. You don't have to work as a barista anymore or whatever you are doing from the past."

"But my parents."

"You said you were in a car accident and you thought that you were dead already. Your body of course was seen by your parents already. They know you're dead. Don't worry about them."

Fei was astounded at the moment and tears started falling.

"Too easy for you huh? You think my parents feelings are total joke. Too easy for you to say not to worry about them. You don't even know what life I had with them. We were not rich but I was loved! I was cared for!" Fei shouted.

"I, I am wrong. S-sorry Belle. I was just..."

"Get out!"

"She's just like Lily but totally different. I'm also confused." Gigi's in the lobby area of the hospital. She's talking with someone on her phone.

"Don't be too harsh on her." a familiar voice was on the other line.

"I'm not. I thought she wouldn't feel anything with what I said. Lily is sensitive but not her. You know it."

"We have to keep on observing her. Just don't let your guard down. She's dangerous. Don't be fooled."

"You're not really coming?"

"I don't want to see her."

"B-but she's still Lily you know."

"..."

"I know it's hard for you. You've been patiently waiting for her to come back. Soon you two will be of the age to tie the knot."

"I'll bring her back. Just wait."

"No Dylan, it's too late already. Lily is gone."

"I have to attend some meetings. Update me once they leave the hospital already."

"Yeah sure."

"Good afternoon Miss." A man in his 60's bowed in front of Fei. He's wearing a black suit and a lapel mic. He must be Mr. Kho, the butler to which Dylan entrusted to pick her up.

"Hello. Are you Mr. Kho?"

The old man nodded. "I'm glad you remember me miss. The young master told me the medication had made you lose some of your memories. He's been upset."

"He told you that?" Fei looked down and sighed. Only Dylan, Her and Gigi know the truth.

"Mr. Kho, can we go somewhere before heading home?"

"My pleasure Miss. Where do you wish to go?"

"Downtown Cafe. Do you know it? I know it's not something fancy but it's popular with young people. I saw it on the internet just a while ago, and it made me want to come!" Fei started fidgeting her fingers. This has been a habit of hers when she lies. She hates lying because her conscience won't make her sleep.

The butler laughed.

"You haven't changed miss. You still do that thing." The butler mimics her fidgeting. "You used to do that when you're lying."

"Huh?"

"Why would you lie Miss? You always go to that cafe before. You used to come with Miss Gardner."

"Really?? Why didn't I know that?"

"Ooh. You must have forgotten. The young master is right. "

Fei's POV

What is happening? I'm so confused right now. I've been working at the cafe for quite some time but never have I ever seen Lily and Gigi there.

And also why do Lily have the same mannerisms as me? I know this is nothing special and anyone fidgets when they lie but what a coincidence, right?

"Now miss. It's about time we go."

"Oh yes Mr. Kho. Thank you."

"You're welcome Miss."

Mr. Kho then guided Fei out of the room.
