Pia's POV

A new day, new morning. 'I have worked so hard for this college, and I am finally here!'

This is all I could think of while getting ready for the day. First day in Oberoi Hospitals as a surgical resident. I did my puja, talked to mom dad and head out for the hospital. While waiting for the Cab I realize that it is really hard to get a cab in Mumbai, just as they show in movies.

"Oh God, I am going to be late on my very first day itself", I guess I cried this out loud because I heard a little chuckle behind me.

"Whats so funny Rishab?"

"You are " and he startedlaughing. "Don't worry I will ask my driver to drop you wherever you have to go, do you at least have the correct address?". He did not change a bit, still the kind of condescending jerk he was when we were kids and used to play badminton. "Earth to Pia! Go, the car is ready."

"Thank you so much Rishab!" I say and rush before he can say anything mean again.

Rishah's POV

When I came back after my jog, I saw Pia walking up and down the road waiting for a cab. "She is ready so early, cons of being a doctor I must say" my sister Ananya says after she sees Pia, "Lets help her, why don't you go and drop her?"

I laughed at her and told her that the most I could do for her was lend her my driver and I went ahead to talk to her.

Even though I was helping her, she was looking at me with those big eyes and rushed as soon as the car was ready.'

'Really Amusing' this girl is really something else' A small laugh left my mouth as I remembered her antics.

"What happened? Why are you laughing?"

"Can I not laugh? Why does everyone keep asking me this?" I asked as my sister arranged breakfast for me.

"Do you remember when she was here we used to play a lot. Badminton tournaments were the best"... I laughed remembering all these memories my sister was reliving. It was really a fun time until we all got busy with studies.

"Ananya I remember everything..".. I told her as I got up to leave..

EVENING-

Pia's POV

It was a very long day for Pia. I had no idea they will make me work this much on the first day itself', Pia thought to herself while cooking dinner.

As she started to eat, she thought about this morning,

'Rishab's personality may have not changed but he definitely is much more hot than he was before.' She remembered how he used to dominate while they used to play, always became the leader of the teams, shouting and beating the other kids, how scared she was of him back then .

" This is going to be a fun ride ' Pia thought as she went to sleep.

Pia's POV

8 years ago - I am here, standing in the hospital among people telling us what led to my elder brother's death. Listening to Anirudh talk about Shamaksh's Accident was devastating. Shamaksh, was drunk and got into an accident. Anirudh told us how while returning from lonavla, Shamaksh's car overturned and fell into the valley. The body was so disfigured that we couldn't even look at it.

My parents are doctors and I know I will be following their footsteps, but my brother was different. He wanted to become a businessman,, and he had all the capabilities to do so. Our neighbors, Mr. Singhania always praised my brother for his sharp wit and used to say he would achieve great heights.

But this one stroke has left us all so wounded. I know I cannot cry today, or ever for that matter, otherwise who will give strength to mom and dad.

Days passed, but the void could not be filled. My parents decided that we will be moving to Delhi, far away from this haunting place.

Today-

I was jolted out from my thoughts by the doorbell. I looked at the clock and though who could be here at this time, before I could think of something I heard Rishab 's voice,

"Pia! Pia are you there? I need some help!".

Rishab's POV

I didn't know what to do. 'How could I forget the dinner with investors was tonight, No one is at home, how will I cook?'

Only one name came to my mind,'PIA!, I am sure she wouldn't mind cooking and helping me out with this'

I go over to her place and start knocking, 'Maybe she is asleep, let's try one last time'.

"Pia! Pia are you there? I need some help!", I try to scream so that she hears me.

"Rishab just give me a minute", Listening to her voice gave me peace.

'Finally!'

When she opened the door I saw her looking at me with so much confusion on her face, she was so big dork in that oversized t-shirt and pjs

" Rishab what happened?"

and I explained to her the whole situation. She was more than happy to help me.

"You know I love cooking so much...... I will definitely help you, tell me what do you need me to cook?"

She did not even take breaths in between.

'She talks a lot, how will I keep up with her', I smile looking at her talking with no care for anything around her.

'She is something else' I thought to myself while opening the door of my house for her.
