"Today is the worst day of my life, I got fired from my job, and now I'm getting robbed."

James with a expressionless face glanced at both thieves, while thoughts were lingering in his head.

"I wish I could disappear from this ugly world...Hah...!

"What're you looking at?!"

Suddenly one of them spoke.

"This must your first time getting robbed, Huh...dude look at his face, looks like the bitch is ready to bite us."

After saying these words their expression changed from laughing to serious, and one of them punches James in the gut."

Ughhuh....ughh....Ahhh....Ahhh!!!

James screamed in pain, and coughed blood from his mouth, that single punch had left him disabled for a few seconds, after all the guy had an extremely muscular body, and appeared to have learned some kind of boxing style, at that time the other guy grabbed James by his collar and spoke while making serious eye contact with him.

"It seems you haven't heard our names, tell you what we'll let you go this time, since we are respectable individuals, I hope you'll give us the same respect by keeping your mouth shut, okay!"

The guy then let's go of James collar, who didn't look good at the time.

"Let's go! Bi**h didn't have anything worthwhile on him, what a waste of time, I told you he was broke."

"But we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover."

"Oh shut up!"

Just as the two of them were arguing and walking away from James, he sneakily stood up and picked his briefcase which the thieves threw after finding nothing of value in it, and started creeping on the big guy, James suddenly slammed the corner of the metal briefcase on the nose of the hunk and debilitated him, suddenly the other guy tries to attack James who was bashing the briefcase on the big guy, James turned his attention towards the other dude who was trying to find a way to his car in hope's of acquiring a weapon, James then grabbed him by the neck of his jacket and slammed him on the ground, bombarding him with disorderly kicks, fortunately both of the people were alive with severe injuries all over their bodies, the both of them ran away leaving James with a few injuries as well.

But unfortunately James had gotten himself involved in a perilous situation, because the next day he received a death threat to him and his family, and suspicious people hanging around his area, but due to the building's security being top-notch they couldn't find a reason to break in to his apartment, which was a good thing.

But James has to get out of his apartment someday, even if he wasn't in an immediate danger, his family wasn't safe at all.

What will James do now?

"Who is it?!" *Gulp*

James nervously replied.

"We're here for someone, we heard he lives somewhere here, would you mind telling us where we can find him?"

A muffled voice came behind the door.

"What's the name of the person you're looking for?!"

"I believe his name is James."

*Shocked* "What's...his full...name?!"

"You see our colleagues didn't disclose his full name to us, so were having trouble finding him, we heard he live here somewhere, would you mind coming out of the house, so we can talk better!"

*Cough* "Actually I'm...kinda...sick, so I can't see you, It just that I don't want you folks to catch my cold" *Cough~*

"Don't worry about that "Sir", we aren't suspicious individuals, we just want to talk."

*Bang*

(Whisper) "I think this is him, let's get the boys."

(Whisper) "Alright."

"Sorry for wasting your time Sir, I hope you can recover from your cold, have a nice day!"

*Cough* "Thank you!"

*Thack* *Step*

"Are they gone now, what should I do?! Sooner or later they're going to find me SHIT!!!....SHIT! SHIT!!!"

"Maybe I should stay at my parents! No...No! No!

After a few minutes.

*Thack*

*Creak*

*Sound of a bunch of footsteps*

*Knock*

"It's me again, the guy from before, we were informed by someone from your neighbourhood that the person were looking for is *You*."

James shockingly replied.

"No...I thi...nk...you heavily misunderstood!"

"It's this motherf****r here boys, let's bust the door open."

*Dunf*

*Dhum*

"What should I do I'm in deep s**t now-!"

Suddenly James's eyes fell on the kitchen window, which was the completely opposite side of the building, he ran towards the window.

"No...I'm on the second floor, I can't...jump from here, What should I do?!!!"

*Crack*

"One more push."

James took another glance towards the window and took a serious gulp.

"I-I have no choice!"

At that moment, the people bust open the door and saw James who was standing on the window frame.

"GET THAT B***H!!!"

*Leap*

Upon hearing the scream, James jumped off.

*Crackle*

"I'm alive!"

James was in disbelief, because he landed in a trash can, which wasn't visible from his POV.

"He's still alive get him from downstairs!"

One of the guys peeked half his body out the window and spotted James.

"Oh s***t! Gotta move!"

James got up as fast as he could, but the fall had injured his right leg, which made him unable to run faster.

"Aghh...my leg...i gotta get to a police station fast...Ahh!"

James limping and running towards the police station, but the goons most probably had a vehicle, and James was injured, so he had to compromise, rather than taking the straight route to a police station, he went to a crowded place, so the goons wouldn't catch him easily.
