It was the beginning of cold winter in New York. The streets were glittering with the early decorations for Christmas. A song was being played in loop for quite a long time now, in the room on the top floor of the Jeon's.
I said, "No one has to know what we do"
His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room
And his voice is a familiar sound

But this is getting good now
Before this broken lover could complete the song, a knock came upon on his door. He opened the door, revealing his cousin Sana with a tray of biscuits and a cup of hot choco.
Jungkook thanks her with a smile, closing the door with the tray in his hand he walks up to his music player and puts the song of hold. He then picks up the cup of hot choco and walks up to his balcony.
Inhaling the cold breeze, he looks down at the street which looked busier than ever. The street lights were a lit, it felt nothing like late night instead it felt like Christmas. He smiles thinking of it and takes a sip of his hot chocolate.
It gave him shivers, the sweetness of it made his face light up like those street lamps below. Suddenly looking around the streets he felt his heart ache. He missed him. His eyes teared a little but he had his emotions under control if his heart may not.

It's been 7 years now..

Do you still miss me like I do in cold winters?
Says Jungkook while looking up at the sky. His cheeks were rosy and his nose was red. His eyes glitter because of tears and his heart was sad. Why was this happening? What was the cause? We shall know further as he spoke,

It's hard to explain now...Jin hyung would definitely label me as a mad man..

Why only in winters out of all four seasons!

Yet when ever it's winter..My heart starts beating at the thought of you..
It was rare sight for him to admit this. These days, he had been saying it loud that he doesn't love no one. That he was over his past love and that was the truth but when the winters arrive, things start to fall.
The foundation of his victory, no matter how strong it was laid, every winter it would fade away. Because this cold breeze, this decoration around the streets, this cold breath, and the snow coming, it all reminds him of his ex lover, Kim Taehyung.
Given a chance he wouldn't have left when the spring was around. He wouldn't have left his heart cold for ever. Even though it's been years, seasons came and went by, but his heart never melted. From outside no matter how strong the sun shined, from within he had winter, his heart icy cold.
But he was too immersed in his life to notice that. He did everything to move on. He was going to be some one else's. It might not be his wish but he had no other choice. Sometimes, children have to make sacrifices for the happiness of their parents. Call them selfless but they are doing nothing but paying off the debt they own after they were born.
Sana calls out from downstairs bringing Jungkook back to reality. He smiles while sighing and quickly finishes his cup of hot choco and brings the cup along with him to downstairs. He saw Sana setting the dining table.

No! It's just two of us!
Sana
What's too much to do anyways? Take a seat!
Jungkook walks up to the kitchen and keeps the empty cup in the sink, washing his hands he then walks up to the dining table and takes a seat. He could smell the delicious delicacy. Sana made his favourite vegetable soup.
Sana
Remember it's your turn to cook dinner tomorrow! *serves Jungkook food*

Sure! Now do your service! *chuckles*
Sana makes a sweet face and serves him food and then serves herself. Jungkook and Sana have been living in New York for quite long. After his marriage was fixed, he started living in New York away from his home town.
He wasn't in favour of this arrange marriage but he couldn't say no. His parents were indebt and being a rich family in USA, it would be shameful if they bankrupt over night. His parent's friends thought to lend them a hand if they agreed to have their son marry their's.
And since they already had helped them. They just couldn't say no. And the fact they were more powerful, it was just cherry on top. He would have said no but at what price? His family going homeless? Hence he was happy with being the one with a broken heart than the one with a broken family.

I am going to have a party tomorrow..So I might not come home directly..
Jungkook
Fine? What's with this question anyways? *raised his right eyebrow*

Are you really ok with this marriage?! *puts her spoon down*

Whatever you think! *rolls his eyes*

Jackson puts his arm over Jungkook's shoulder while singing the fact that he is late. Jungkook who was already having a hard time staying awake gives a hard punch on his stomach making him growl in pain.

Oh! *holds his stomach*

Am I late? *slide his sleeves up*

You are early! Ariana still had tears left to cry!
Soon the bus arrived, Jungkook and Jackson entered to see their two other team mates sitting in the bus as well and looked kind of a mess. One had a sandwich in her mouth while she wrote down something and the other one was doing her hairs.

Hmmm Hoom! *makes weird noise since she had sandwich in her mouth*

She's saying good morning! *making braids*

Guess we aren't the only one late..

I feel so much better now..*keeps his hand on his heart and makes a kawai face*
Taking a seat next to them, Jungkook opens a tiffin box and quickly starts having his breakfast. Jackson took a sandwich as well even though he had his breakfast but who misses a chance of getting free food?

What happened? Why is everyone late today?

My alarm didn't turn up!
Dahyun
My mom forgot to wake me up!
Dahyun says with an annoyed express which made other three look at her with an unreadable expression. Rosé who was writing something keeps her pen down and holds her sandwich.
Rosé
You mean..You still need your mom to wake you up?
Rosé
And you still dare to complain?!? *gives a glare*

If my mom was to wake me up! I would be earlier than janitors!
Jackson
Well...My mom wakes me up..So if I got late by even a minute.. She'll make it look like I over slept the whole afternoon..

Hearing this question, his face stiffens a bit. Being the only child, he was not in heavens, he was sacrificing for his family. The sacrifice he made was not a normal one since it only took his happiness away. He can't love no body but him.

Like this they talked through out the journey. In last Rosé had to do Dahyun's hair, Jackson and Jungkook finished her sister's homework which was of Math's hence required two persons not because they are weak at it but because of the time limit.
Jungkook wishes the receptionist as he passed by, Jackson and Rosé went to the cafeteria straight and Dahyun went washroom to check her hair. She swears she will never ever try to keep her hairs un-oiled. Her hairs were sticking up like she got some electric shock. In the end, she had to wet her hair.

A Dinner Together!
The day in office was nothing but chaos. They were minutes late from their arrival time and got a scolding from their boss. Jackson all this time kept chewing bubble gum while the boss scolded him #swaglife.

Jungkook gets up from his place and walks to the cupboard which had all different types of decorating materials. Opening the bottom drawer, he checks for the few buttons and picks out few of them and brings them to Dahyun who was busy attaching crystals.

I like those blue ones..
Jungkook was about to keep those buttons on the table when someone came running in there room while having a happy look on her face. Jackson who was sewing stops the machine and then looks up at Rosé who had a file in her hand.

And guess who it is?!
The room fell in silence. But that was only for minute and next minute Jungkook and Dahyun were consoling Jackson while he sat there pouting. Momo and Jackson's mother were friends so they knew eachother. And their relationship wasn't much like friends and more like enemies.

Out all other hotties! Why her?!

You guys forgot about her being my ex?
Jungkook blinks his doe eyes thrice before ignoring Jackson's existence and walks up to his chair and starts to draw his design further. Rosé supports Dahyun and brings her to her chair. Jackson just sat there dumped.

Dahyun screams in frustration. Jungkook nodding his head, wipes his imaginary tears of sorrow. He remembered covering up whenever they made out in the office even if he felt single in his outermost.

It was late evening when they all were done with their work. Packing up their things, they walked up to the bus stop. Jungkook and Dahyun planned on visiting the organic grocery store since they had to buy vegetables. Jackson and Rosé were unplanned.

After shopping, they go their ways. Since Jungkook's place was closer to the grocery he thought to walk instead of taking bus. Jackson accompanied him saying he'll have dinner at his place. Which means he won't get any rest for today.

It's been a week since I paid a visit to your place!

That's quite a long time!
Jungkook unlocks the door, Jackson walk inside while Jungkook stays behind as he stared at his neighbour, Kim Jong-In. He had gone for a business trip and returned today. So being a good neighbour he thought to invite him for dinner.

What took you so long?
Jungkook
Just inviting my neighbour for dinner..
Jackson
Any special occasion?
Jungkook
Nah..He just returned from business trip..Must be tired to cook..And his brother knows nothing about cooking..

Ordering food suçks!
It was soon dark. Sana returned around 8. Jackson helped Jungkook in washing the vegetables and chopping them in small dices. While Sana freshened up and settled on the dinning table.

You haven't brought down the tray I gave you yesterday!

Ah! Please get it yourself..I might forget later!
Walks in Yeonjun and Jong-In, Jungkook's neighbour. Greeting them and asking them to sit down, Sana serves them some juice and beverages. Yeonjun being in the same class as Sana bitçhed about their most hated teacher still the time dinner was served.

Like this went the dinner night. Next morning Jungkook took a leave to go and meet his friend Kim Seokjin who was his therapist as well. He had no depression but love fever instead which takes over him every winter.
Since, he no matter how hard he tried. Somehow he wasn't able to get his ex out of mind in the first of their break up. Having so much pain back then, he began to have an appointment with his therapist.
