Raymond Reed is now 20 years old. He is the young master of reed Family. He has one step brother and sister. He lives separately in a different Villa from his Step Family with Steven Waters who is his bodyguard more like a Shadow. Raymond is a playboy and always hangs out in clubs or bars. He does not care for others accept himself.

He hate his Step mother as she tried to assassinate him more than once. Also Raymond is very handsome with distinct features. He always wears a huge smile on his face to cover his sadness. he is mostly surrounded by girls.

Steven Waters is 22 years old. He is like a shadow of Raymond. He does not speak much. Only answer when Raymond or Henry(Raymond's father) asks him something. He only cares about Raymond. He can even die for him.

He lives with Raymond to keep an eye on him. He is trained in martial arts and is very strong. Steven is as handsome as Raymond but always has a cold look on his face this is the reason to most girls avoiding him.

In The Club

"Oh Raymond!Where were you these days? We missed you a lot." one of the girls in the club spoke. Raymond gave her a kiss," Yeah me too babe." Raymond parted his mouth from the girl and looked at Steven who was sitting quietly in front of him without drinking or even looking at the girls. His eyes were fixated on Raymond itself.

Raymond,"Steven you don't have to keep an eye on me for now at least. There is nobody who will harm  me here."

Steven gave him a nod and went to sit faraway still keeping his eyes on him without Raymond noticing.

"Who is that guy? Always hanging around with you. Are you guys close?" One girl asked. "He is my shadow." Raymond answered before  kissing her again.

Then there came another girl. she was not like those club girls. he was wearing  a black one piece looking really hot,"May I join you handsome?" Raymond quickly looked at the girl,"Yes you  may but first tell me your name?"

The black dress girl replied,"Isn't it a common manner to tell your name first before asking the other person?" Raymond got interested in this girl who was now sitting besides him. Soon the distance between them decreased and now they  we were kissing each other until one hand grabbed Raymond's collar and punched him.

Steven ran towards them and in front of Raymond taking the second punch b the strange man who was now yelling practically,"How dare you kiss my girlfriend?" Steven glared at him,"Your girlfriend was the one who came to Raymond." Steven punched the man to the ground and was still glaring at him which send chills down to the man's spine. Steven and the man fought for bit until the man finally ran away.

Steven and Raymond went to their home. As they arrived Steven grabbed the first aid kid and attended to Raymond's lips which was bleeding slightly. Steven after applying some medicine on Raymond applied some on himself too. Steven with his hoarse voice which was rarely heard,"Does it hurt?" Raymond who was playing his phone now looked at Steven,"Uh? No not at all." Steven nodded his head. Raymond still looking at his phone spoke,"You can go to sleep now. I will stay up for bit. You should rest." Steven after hearing Raymond just uttered a 'um.' and went inside his room. After a while he came out of his room to check on Raymond who was now sleeping on the couch. Steven knew this would happen. He picked Raymond up bridal style and took him to master bedroom tucked his blanket and went to his own room to sleep.

The next morning Steven woke up early prepared their breakfast. While Raymond has just woken up to find himself in his own room. He knew it was Steven who took him here but said nothing. They both ate the breakfast together then the doorbell rang. Steven opened the door and there came a man dressed in suit ,"The Master has called you young master with Waters to the main Villa"

Raymond knew it was something related to last night. Steven and Raymond went to the main villa. A servant told them Henry was in the study room.

In the study room

Raymond and Steven greeted Henry together,"Good morning Father , Good morning Master." Henry examined Raymond's face and then Slapped Steven who was standing besides Raymond with his hands behind him. Raymond was speechless. Henry slapped Steven once again,"Raymond If you don't learn to behave the one bearing bearing the consequences will be him." Steven took a glance at Raymond then spat,"Sorry master."

Henry now vexed,"You should be! Raymond you can go now." Raymond looked at his father then at Steven who standing still," I will wait outside." Henry after giving ear to Raymond said," You can go home. It will take him quite a while. Raymond couldn't speak anymore and then he left with an agitated feeling. Henry after watching Raymond go looked at Steven,"You follow me to the basement." Steven did as he was told.

In the basement Henry took out a whip and stated hitting Steven," You can't even take care of one person? I have told you how important Raymond is to me." Henry continued hitting and Steven was bleeding now,"Sorry Master, I promise to protect him in the future. Please forgive me." Henry listening to Steven spat,"You better otherwise you know what will happen. The driver will take you back. Apply some medicine on the wound. Go now."

"Okay Master" Steven bowed his head then went outside. The driver was watching Steven with pity 'How cruel the Master is' Steven requested the driver to drive sow so that he could take a nap.

In the evening  they arrived at Raymond's Villa. The driver wanted to support Steven to stand up properly but got rejected. Steven rang the door bell. Raymond came running towards the door and opened it. As the door opened there was sight of horror in front of him. Steven was bleeding. His White shirt stained with blood. Raymond panicked for a minute and then realized he should take Steven inside and help him sit. Raymond ran and bought first aid kit.

Steven has now removed his shirt revealing his pure white skin with wounds all over. Raymond looking at Steven's wound almost crying. He has never felt this way in last fifteen years,"Sorry Steven. It's all my fault." Steven was surprised to see Raymond behaving like this," It's okay Raymond. No worries at all. I am fine. Thank you for bringing me the first aid kit." Raymond was now crying,"Steven Sorry. I didn't know father would go this far."

"I told you its alright." Steven was now holding Raymond's hand in his. Raymond was surprised by this but didn't pull his hand back instead,"Steven let him help you apply ointment."

"Okay" Steven said with a smile which was rare. This smile made Raymond's heart jump out of his rib cage. After dressing the wound Raymond said,"I am sorry once again." Steven just gave him a smile again,"Let's go to sleep , I am tired." Raymond nodded.

Steven with a smile on his face said,"Let's go to sleep, i'm tired." Raymond just nodded. After a second he said something that he can't even believe,"Let's sleep together" Steven's smile vanished he was just staring at Raymond who after realizing what he said gave a awkward smile,"I..I....I mean......." Steven let out a chuckle which was unusual of him,"I understand. But where we going to sleep? In your room or mine?" Raymond gave a warm smile,"In mine.If that's alright with you?" Steven tried to stand up and nearly fell but Raymond supported him,"Let's go to sleep."

They went to sleep in Raymond's room. Both lied down and there was a silence between them which Raymond broke,"Are you okay sleeping here? I mean you are injured what if I accidentally hurt your wounds again?" Steven,"No I told you I'm alright. you won't hurt my wounds again because it is bandaged properly." Raymond after hearing this felt relieved and went to sleep but Steven was still awake he watched Raymond besides him who was asleep and whispered,"Even though I was beaten up badly I feel happy because you cared about me in last 15 years. Thank you Raymond." Steven caressed Raymond's hair and then fell asleep too.

In the next morning Raymond woke up and found Steven was not beside him. His heart felt a stabbing pain. He also didn't know why there was such pain in his heart. He rushed out of his room and found Steven making breakfast. His brows furrowed, he rushed to Steven and grabbed his hand,"Steven why do you have to make breakfast?" Steven surprised by Raymond's action,"I always make breakfast for us." Raymond made an extremely worried  and guilty face,"But you didn't have to. You are wounded." Steven gave a small smile,"I'm not that hurt this time." Raymond released Steven's hand,"This time? Which means father has hit you more than once? Did he hit you every time I made a mistake?" Steven was now at loss for words. He was now staring at the ground. Raymond's vision got blurry. He didn't know why he was crying. Out of pity? But the only thing he knew now was to hold tight the person in front of him who was staring at the ground continuously. Raymond hugged Steven tightly and the latter was dumbfounded. After recollecting himself Steven hugged Raymond back. They both hugging each other. This was the first time they hugged each other so tightly ever since they have met. Steven can feel something went on his shoulder but he didn't care since The only thing he has now wanted was to hug Raymond with all his might. Their hands around each others waist tightened every second. After a while they let go of each other. Steven with his hoarse voice said,"the breakfast has gone cold." Raymond let out a chuckle while wiping his tears,"Yeah probably. But its fine let's eat it. I'm hungry." Steven,"Okay." They both ate the cold meal which rather felt very warm. They finished their meal. Raymond,"Steven you don't have to come to college today. I'll go by myself." Steven handed Raymond his bag while picking up his own,"I have to go with you no matter how injured I am because I am your bodyguard." Hearing Steven say this Raymond's heart clenched,"You are not just a bodyguard but also My friend. And you can take holiday for a day i will talk to Dad about it." Steven still stubborn,"I can't please."

Raymond gave up and just nodded  in agreement. They both went to college. Even though  there is 2 years of difference between them they still study in same class due to late admission of Steven whose college fees is paid by Raymond's dad with the condition of protecting and being with Raymond 24/7.

They both entered their class. Raymond as famous as always was surrounded by girls trying to talk to him with Raymond smiling at them. Steven was behind him with a boy at his side.

This Boy's name is George. He is cute and talkative type. He is the only one who talks with Steven.

Steven doesn't have friends because of his cold nature. But George knows that Steven is only cold on outside but warm inside. George has know Steven for years now. They met in High school and now in same college. George is Steven's best friend and he is the only person in the whole college who knows that Steven is Raymond's bodyguard.

George and Steven were walking side by side behind Raymond until they sat down. Steven was sitting in between Raymond and George while the other side of Raymond were sitting many girls. The teacher came and they started studying. The lecture ended and they all went to the canteen. Raymond made a gesture to Steven asking him to sit besides him and the latter did so. George sat in front of Steven. George continued with all his babbling to Steven who was sitting quietly keeping an eye on Raymond who is busy with girls. But he kept glancing at Steven time to time to check whether he is doing okay with all the wounds. George all kept asking Steven about his wounds and if he is okay. They were eating their lunch when two girls came together behind Raymond and were standing.

They are Lacy and Candice. They also come from rich noble family and also know about Steven being Raymond's bodyguard.

Lacy came closer to Steven and whispered not visible and audible by Raymond,"A bodyguard should know his place. How dare he sit besides his master?" Steven gave her a eye but she poured the glass of cold juice in her hands on Steven making it look like an accident which grabbed Raymond's attention,"Sorry Steven. So so Sorry."

Raymond looked at Lacy now who was now acting like she was crying.

Lacy had crocodile tears. Raymond was looking at her but a bang! attracted his gaze. It was George," Lacy it was clearly not an accident. How can you......" Steven grabbed George's hand and gave him a gesture to calm down. Raymond's eyes were fixated on Steven who stood up,"Raymond I have to clean my clothes can you wait here for me a while." George who was nearly about to explode spat still eyeing Lacy,"Let me come with you." Steven just nodded.

Raymond, "Should I come with you? Will you be alright?" Steven was about to speak when lacy interrupted him by crying loudly,"Steven, so....sorry. My mistake. I didn't..... do it on......purpose." Steven looked at Raymond,"I'll be fine. Be right back." Before Raymond could speak Steven was out of his sight.

In the washroom Steven tried to wash his clothes which was completely stained with juice. George finally exploded, "Ahh!! That bloody Bi***. How could she do that? What does she think she is? A Queen? She is just a piece of garbage." Steven washed his hand and looked at his angry friend," It's alright."

George looking at Steven's pitiful state," What do you mean alright? Just look at you! Ahh! I'm getting annoyed. Should I just kill her." Steven gave his angry friend a pat on the shoulder. George looked at Steven pitifully," Anyway your clothes are wet. You can borrow my T-shirt."

"Thank-you" Steven said with a gentle voice which melted George's anger.

George gave steven his T shirt and they both went to canteen again. As soon as they entered the canteen Steven felt a stabbing pain in his heart. He saw Raymond and Lacy hugging each other. George also went all quiet. Both Steven and George approached them. Raymond after seeing Steven coming released Lacy and was staring at Steven,"Um.... Steven are you all right?"

Steven just nodded. Lacy feeling interrupted from their moment clenched her teeth," Ray Today we have to submit our assignment." Raymond," Yeah right! I totally forgot about it."

George," I seriously hate assignments. I thought I won't have to do assignment after Highschool but here they give us tons of assignment." Candice who is always by Lacy's side and is always quiet said," Then Drop out."

George decided to ignore her comments.

"Raymond I think we should go. We have class now." Steven spoke up. Raymond stood up and picked his stuff, "Yeah let's go."

They went to their class and attended the lecture. They it was late in the evening. They had to stay whole day in the university because of assignments. Steven after bidding farewell to George who was very worried about his wounds and was not wanting to let go of Steven until the latter promised to call him when he is home and if there is any problems went home together with Raymond.

They arrived at their house. As they entered into the house steven fell onto the ground unconscious. Raymond was shocked. He patted Steven's face,"Hey steven are you okay? Steven answer me...... please......" Raymond was crying but then he realised he should take Steven to his room.

Steven was now laying down on Raymond's bed who was crying and panicking,"I should call the doctor" Steven woke up from Raymond's crying,"Raymond don't call the doctor. I will be fine after a bit of rest." Raymond felt a bit relieved from hearing Steven's voice. Raymond,"Let me call the doctor. You will be alright soon." Steven grabbed Raymond's hand with all his might left in him and gave him a pleading eyes,"No don't call the doctor" Raymond just agreed to Steven,"Okay, I won't the doctor. You take rest here." By the time he was speaking Steven has already fallen asleep.

Raymond remember how his mother used to take care of him when he used to run fever.

He started putting wet cloth on Steven's forehead. He made sure to keep him warm.

But Steven was still shivering from cold with all the blankets over him and Raymond didn't know how to keep him warm so he climbed onto the bed with Steven and hugged him. Making sure that he does not hurt Steven's wound.

The morning came. The boys were hugging each other. And Steven's fever has went down due to Raymond keeping him warm.

The sun rays falling on Steven face made his eyes twitch,"Ummm.... " Steven sat up was still was half asleep until he saw Raymond by his side. He thought out loud," Why is Raymond here?" This woke Raymond up too," This is my room, Why won't I be here?".

Steven scrutinized the room and it was actually Raymond's room. After thinking for a while Steven recalled what happened yesterday and said two words with a genuine heart,"Thank you." Raymond just gave him a assuring smile implying that it is no big deal.

They both got ready to go to their University. Steven had a small smile on his face which is really a rare sight while Raymond was smiling ear to ear. They both were happy but the reason to their happiness was not clear to them. They just wanted to savour this moment.
