Chapter 1

Ring……ring….ring… A sound that’s so familiar to me now. My wake-up call that’s telling me to wake up and go to that tiring place….again.

“Hello? Yes, this is Eden Dela Cruz, an accounting manager

of the Astrantia Enterprise.”

“Oh may I ask the reason as to why you’ve called?”

“I’m just here to inform our client that I’ve sent the reviewed financial statement that you’ve requested.”

“Yes, I’ve already read it, and it seems plausible, I hope that there’s no mistake here.”

“I assure you because accountants like myself are expected to be transparent, and we maintain strong security practices in our

company and—”

A crashing sound was heard, and I knew, in that very moment that my day’s been ruined. I already am tired from speaking with

a client early in the morning and….this added to my misery.

Tuck….tuck…tuck… Three knocks were heard from my window.

Must I really talk with this person? I’m already drained just thinking of interacting with them.

A heavy sigh before opening the window.

“U-um I’m really sorry for the trouble. I didn’t mean to crash your car.”

“It’s okay….”

“I should call for someone to tow your car, don’t worry I’ll pay for everything.”

“Yes… But can you tow my car later? I have an urgent meeting and I don’t care if it’s crashed so….just call me later.”

I gave him my calling card and just drove away from him. Ugh I’m already worn out.

“Thank you for giving us a chance for this project, sir”

The meeting went well and I feel refreshed. But…. I have to meet him later, right? I don’t like talking with strangers….

Time passed, like it supposed to and it’s already time to meet him….I really don’t want to though.

He messaged me a while ago and we decided to meet at a café to talk about my car.

“Hello…” I’m late

“Umm hi…. Please sit down”

“Can we please wrap this up quickly? I’m tired because of work”

I kind of feel bad that I said that…. I’m really bad.

We talked about the compensation for my car and he offered to

buy me a meal. I accepted… Why not right?

Surprisingly he was fun to talk to and I began to get comfortable with him. He seems kind.

“Miss Eden seems like a fun person”

Saying that is kind of ironic. I’m just a boring and no fun person though.

“You’re so fun to talk too, Sir Sin”

I should be at home right now….but I want to talk to him just a little more.

“So this story that I’m currently writing is about an accountant who fell in love with her work and…..” He kept talking about his

works but interestingly I want to know more about his story.

He’s an author and kind of famous. I wonder if he love his work?

When did he start writing? What made him like writing stories?

All kinds of questions are running inside my brain and its….weird.

So weird.
