Life is completely about fate and destiny… Fate and destiny are like two sides of a coin in one’s life that decides how they live or die and even after death. What happens when two people from different lives meet at a single destination, it is not fate rather it is destiny. The destiny, the single meeting which turned their lives into something different that they have never thought would happen in their life. The lives of Varun and Megha were completely different, it was like two poles of the earth but was on the verge of their lives being joined together in order to make a beautiful story of a lifetime. They themselves did not imagine that this would happen but everything is destiny and there is no free will so their lives are going to be together forever. What happens when two people from completely different mind-set join together, it is quite complex right. But it is always said that the people with different minds have the best relationship rather than the people having the same mind-set. Still, it is quite interesting how fate and destiny work.  Varun was just a normal introvert who just completed college but couldn’t find his path in life. He was confused about whether to choose his profession or passion. On the other side, Ananya has always been an extrovert who loves to travel more but something hit her like a hurricane and made her not to explore stuff in life.  Varun was passionate about everything and always wants to succeed in all of them but the situation in his life was different. It happens always, the life before your studies is just a magical world that cannot be explained and can be lived easily. But real life starts after completing college and getting into a workplace or wanting to get into one or want to follow your passion is different from the past and stuff you did so far. He was the topper of his school, college and university but still he wanted to follow his passion and had always wanted to do something different and stand aside from the rest of the crowd. Though he did several stuff still he aced in everything rather than just trying stuff, he was successful in most of them too.   He always had time to do stuff out he made some time to do his stuff. Though he was good in everything, he had always wanted a spiritual finding in his life and could use one in need which was the most important one. Still he was not as good as with his relationship, Megha, his true one.  Everything was good until his fifth grade when he met with an accident that changed his life into what he is now. Everyone needs a heartbreak and a new relationship to succeed in their life. Every people in life can experience any one of these but a few people get to experience both a heartbreak and a good relationship but eventually every relationship gets into a heart break in the end which is kind of bad in one’s life however it shapes one’s life into what he wants to be in the future, moulding him into something different from his past.  The very first thing Varun felt was a heartbreak which made him get into his spiritual finding of music and movies, he started moulding himself into what he wanted to be in the future, which would cherish his memories in the future when he thinks about it.    Everything was good until his fifth grade like a normal guy until he bumped into Megha and fell in love with her thinking that it would give him sweet memories but all it gave to him was painful misery that would follow him for the rest of his life. In his fifth grade he met with an accident that made him bedridden for three months because of which he was unable to attend his classes and was unable to get to see Megha meanwhile which was a different experience that he never experienced in his life before that, it was different and unexplainable. Though he was in his house everything he had was the thoughts of Megha and the things they did together. Still he managed to get past some of the days easily whereas some days were harder.   Until one day, Varun’s father took him to his school to meet with the Principal in order to get his leave for the rest of his days and to get some study material for Varun. That is when Varun gets to meet his friends, everyone asked him how he was doing. And there was Megha, standing in front of him with the most beautiful smile on her face waiting to talk to Varun.   She came near him and both of them had an innocent smile on their faces which still and never can be forgotten by Varun for the rest of his life.  Varun called her name with a smile on his face, to which Megha replied, “Hey Varun. How are you doing now? Hope you get well soon.”  And there was Varun’s best friend Raj nearby just kidding with Varun and Megha by saying, “Hope so.” To which Varun and Megha raised their eyebrows and gave a sarcastic look.  To which Raj replied by saying that, “Just kidding guys. Varun, just get well soon and come to school man, it is kind of boring in here and without you, and the school just sucks man. Get well soon.”  Then there was Megha, “Sure, he will. He is going to get well soon.”  “There is no way Megha, before recovering from this he would definitely get himself into the next trouble with his so called “parkour”. He is definitely going to do this soon or later Megha. Just mark my words, I know him better than anyone else here. He would do that for sure.”  Megha was like, “Is it true Varun, you did this to yourself.”  “No, Megha definitely not, it was just a freaking accident guys. I got hit by a freaking car which had a driver who would have definitely failed his driving test for sure.”   Then they had a small chit-chat and left the place but the smile on Megha’s face was just a never-ending thought which was running in his head forever and ever and ever even until his death. Things were kind of going well in between them, they aced their tests and had good scores. That was a different story in between them until getting stuck with something that he never imagined would happen.   Everything was good until their eighth grade until Varun’s friend asked him about his love life by recognising the changes happening with him. Initially Varun was not ready to tell this to anyone but after some time due to Surya asking him repeatedly about his love life. Eventually Varun told him that he was in love with Megha, from that smile… that damn smile… which changed everything in his life and will change in the future too. Though Varun asked Surya to promise him that he would never tell this anyone but he did not stand up to his word and said this to everyone in their class. Eventually Megha came to know this too and she was not expecting that hence she was angry on Varun to which she eventually stopped talking to him, she started avoiding him from her life.  Meanwhile Varun was not able to take that and was angry over Surya for telling everyone and screwing Varun’s love life still Varun blamed himself as he too has a part in that where he must have never told this to Surya in the first place so that this would have never taken place.   Though he blamed himself and Surya still he was not able to do anything right at that moment but to blame himself. Stuff was going down and the distance between Megha and Varun was kept on increasing and Varun was not himself after that he could not bear that pain. Even when he was having an one sided relationship he was happy talking to her and imagining things but everything was going down in his life due to Surya, he did not have any idea to think of and was unaware of every situation he could use to get her or even get close to her like the life he had in the past. But everything now was like a dream… more like a nightmare… being in the same class was good for Varun which they had until completing their college but it was like being in hell for Megha, she was not ready to hear him out or think from his side of view.  Things were different and hard for Varun after this so he started finding his spiritual reason which he may reside on music first. Music helped him to get himself out of the pain caused by Megha and also to express his feelings for her. He started getting great in what he did and will do. Music gave him a new identity in the totally different world. Still he was not able to get past the memories of Megha. So he started getting himself involved into watching movies and started writing books with his past incidents and parts of his imagination. The books started selling well but still he can’t give up on Megha. His mind was completely on her and so he was unable to concentrate in the stuff he does which made him lose some chances but still he tried so hard to prove what he was able to do. But just proving is not enough for this freaking society, earning is also important.  Things were just somewhat normal as he planned his life that he wanted to live. But like the past incidents of his life, there was again an unexpected twist, the complete heart break and a complete silence from Megha after graduating from his high school. They were separated on joining different colleges due to their interests.   Though they were into different colleges still Varun does know everything about her and had never ever tried to leave her behind. He was always there for her and knew her better than anyone else in this world. But that was not the same in the case of Megha, she started getting even more distant from Varun and eventually started to lose him from her memories.   He could not control his feeling for her anymore so he wanted to try for one last time despite her being proposed by him several times. He wanted to give a one last chance for the revival of her feelings for him and his feelings for her.  Varun asked his best friend Raj about this as Varun has been alone for all these years and had been waiting for and had the same feelings for her just as he had for her in the past.  Fear… it has always been with him and had him being haunted for the past years after getting separated from Megha and was not being able to see her. He was always scared for expressing his feelings for her thinking that she would leave him.  “But eventually people start to leave you ultimately. It is what happens in the human cycle of nature. People getting attached to you, hurt you and then eventually leave you.”  It has been always Megha for Varun, she made him the happiest person in the world by bumping into his life all of a sudden and also made him the saddest person in the world by leaving him all of a sudden by disappearing like a ghost from his life without a trace. He just needed her and will wait for her whatever it takes because he have always wanted her and only her in his life.  Her thoughts were just killing him so on an evening he called his best friend Raj and said everything he was going through as he had nowhere else to go or don’t know what else should he do to get her? He tells about the memories of Megha which was hunting him for all these years and also admits that he was scared of proposing her.  “Raj, I can’t do this anymore man. Her thoughts are just killing me and I don’t know what else I should do to get back with her. I just need her man. I just don’t know what to do without her being by my side.”  “I can understand everything you say Varun. But for how long are you going to stay like this. Are you going to stay like this forever, just waiting for her? Even we talked to her about you but still you are the one who need to talk to her about you and for you. Just go and talk man what is she going to do to you. Just talk man at least for one last time give it a try.”  “I too know that man, but I don’t know what to do. What if she leaves me for good after hearing me out, I just can’t take it man. Its different dude I can’t even tell her or explain about my feelings for her. Both the cases just hurts me in the end.”  “I know that Varun. But just try to speak with her until then you are not going to get what you want. We can come to a conclusion only if you talk to her and explain your feelings for her. There is no other freaking way man.”  “Okay Raj I will try to talk to her.”  “I don’t need this answer, you have been saying this for the past five years. Now you are out of time, you just have three days to talk to her. I don’t care how you do it but you have to do this soon.”  “Okay Raj I will try.”  “You have been trying for past few years now and it is time for you to talk to her Varun.”  “Okay Raj I will talk to her for sure.”  Varun continues his daily routine for the next two days but still was not able to talk to her and couldn’t afford to lose her.   Finally the third day arrived and Varun takes up some courage to talk to Megha.  Varun got on to his terrace, sat there and tried to talk to her. He makes the call. But it was returning as busy or getting disconnected after continuous ringing.  Varun was like pick up the damn phone Megha please pick it up. After some time Varun gets a call from his friend.  “What happened Varun? Did you talk to her? What did she say?”  “I have tried multiple times Raj. It is either getting disconnected or returning as busy all the time. I have tried multiple times Raj but still she is not picking up or returning my calls.”  “Try again Varun, she must have been busy or must have been working.”  “I have been trying for like the past hour Raj but she is not picking up my calls.”  “Don’t worry Varun, just try again.”  “What if she had my number blocked man because I am unable to see her profile picture? Just check her profile and tell me whether she has a profile picture or not.”  “Yes Varun looks like she had your number blocked because I can see her profile picture. Just try from a different number and check whether she answers or not.”  And after some time Varun tries to call with another number. But before calling Megha from another number Varun gets a call from his friend.  “Just don’t call her Varun. Leave it for good.”  “Why Raj, is something wrong.”  “Just don’t do this man. Leave it for good that is all I can say.”  “Just tell me Raj.”  “Just now I got a call from Megha’s friend complaining about you calling her again and again. Megha asked her friend to say this to me man.”  Varun was just being silent.  “Hey you there Varun. Just leave it for good man. She should have at least picked up your call and asked you not to call her, for a courtesy. Rather she asked her friend to tell this to me. Leave it man.”  Varun still being silent and cries without him knowing.  “Hey Varun are you crying man. Leave it that is all I can say.”  “I just don’t know Raj, I just did not expect this from her. It is kind of different and I just don’t know how to express it.”  “Hey don’t feel for this Varun, it is not worth it. How long have you been waiting for her? Ten years right but still she could not understand your feelings for her. And would definitely end up in a toxic relationship anyway which is not good for either of you. So just leave it for good Varun. You don’t have to worry for this, she is the one who is going to regret in the future for leaving you.”  “Whatever happened so far still I am unable to give up on her Raj? I can get past this but can never forget her. Just leave it Raj, I will be normal soon.”  Then Varun gets a video call from his friend and they spoke for some time. Eventually Varun started becoming normal but can never forget her. Then they played a game of Call of Duty Mobile and things turned out well in the end.  With his knowledge obtained from watching movies all the time accompanied with the help of his books and his own story he started making comics and animated films in the beginning which gained a good reputation in his field. Eventually he started incorporating his thoughts into a short film which succeeded too.  Still he needed to get himself out from the past incidents and from the thoughts of Megha. Which can never be done by this as it increases his feelings for her and takes him into the past experiences. So he needed something new to get past that which he chose to be programming.   He gained his knowledge in programming with time and started participating in white hat hacking. Eventually this ended him in making new applications and games from the knowledge he obtained with animation.  Finally he succeeded with his works but the recognition he got from the real world was so less. The people in the online world were more into this when compared to the people in the real world.   Finally he completed his college and finally ending himself in the real world but that is not how things work in the real world. It was completely different from what he dreamt of.   But all he wanted now was a break before moving on with his life. He had his life planned in a good flow. He just wanted to complete his masters in abroad but before all of that all he wanted was just a break from the real world.  Now all he had was a few days to figure out what he can do to get himself out of the real world. So he started doing all the stuff he wanted like a monster. He was just like a beast doing everything he wanted to do in his life. It was like counting his last moments, he did everything he can like there is no tomorrow.  He made more music, released his albums online and did the remix of several pre-existing songs, he wrote several books and comics, started making short films, published his new games and apps and started learning new stuff like he never did so that he can get past her thoughts.  His family worried about his physical and mental health and what is he going to do after that and what if something happens to him due to this. So they decided to get him out of this once and for all or for at least some time. They asked his friends why he was doing this and they revealed his past and his memories with Megha after Varun’s family asking them repeatedly.  Finally they arrived at a conclusion that they can take him out on a small vacation, like for a week to get him out of this mess. They decided to make it a family vacation but Varun’s father and mother were having work and were not given a week off from their job as they had a tight schedule. Hence, they decided to send Varun and his sister on a small trip to get him out of this state of mind. First he refused to go but they asked him to accompany his sister as she had some work in Ooty. Eventually he agreed to go on that trip but he was only physically sound to go there not mentally.  He thought the trip is going to suck but his life is going to change from that single trip which he would never think of. And that is when he is going to meet Ananya who is going to change his life once and for all and leave him with her memories until he dies.  Ananya, she has always been an extrovert who speak things out loud as it is in her mind. She too had a normal life like Varun but her life too went on a roller coaster ride which is going to change her life and not her. She is the one, who would never change her thoughts and perspective for anyone or according to the situation. She always had a single thought and would never change her character for anyone.  Though her life is screwed still she did not change herself rather she got bumped with Varun and changed his life too with just a smile… that damned smile… the one similar to Megha but different in perspective which changed the way Varun thinks and stuff he is going through is nothing compared to what Ananya is going through.  Ananya was a normal teen girl with the life of a normal teen girl until her life is going to be ruined by something she never thought would happen in her life.   Ananya too had some heartbreaks but never got stuck into that one person forever. Whenever she gets into a relationship or problem or walking out of a relationship all she had to do was to travel. The travel she made alone or with a person in both the cases she was never disappointed by anything or anyone. She just travels and gets lost into that different world… her world… that can only be understood by her.  The life of Varun and Ananya has always seen to be interconnected, their lives were more or less the same but the only difference is that Varun takes everything into his heart and does not know a way to get out from that which makes him stuck in that different realm which no one close to him can understand. But for Ananya, she takes everything as an experience, it is just our life, we have to live it or end it, that was the way Ananya treated her life and so she never stuck into anything or stuck with anyone until she met Varun. All she had to do to get out from this bitter reality is to travel, just travel so that she can get into her own realm of life which anyone close to her cannot understand. That was the thing common between them both they were on opposite poles but can’t be understood by anyone.  But still Ananya’s life was much happier when compared to Varun’s as she did not take anything personally all she had to do was to take things as it is hence she made her life happier rather than her life being happier.  Though she made her life happier but it has not been happier without her making her life happier. Her life too was a mess before bumping in with Varun and changing his life forever.  She was not a traveller from the starting part of her life but made into one due to love and found one true love because of her travel.   It was in her ninth grade when she fell in love with him, Srinath but did not get to live with him forever. She fell in love with him the moment she saw him and did not take a chance, she proposed to him as soon as she saw him. His looks and character made her attached to him and made her think that he will be the one for her.   It was a new day for Ananya when she joined a different school for her ninth grade for her exams and thought that she can get the change she needed from a new school however the school definitely changed her way of life and how she does things. Though it was a new day and new school for Ananya but Srinath was studying there from his first grade so he was one of the most influential guy in the school but Ananya did not know anything about him so she started spending more time with him so that she can understand him better rather than just being around him until the day ends she wanted him to be with her forever until she would die but that was not the case for Srinath he was not into that serious relationship kind of thing.   However Ananya fell in love with him on the first day she saw him, that one smile… that one damn smile which made her think that he was and will be the one for her forever.  As she was an extrovert she did not hesitate to talk to him like Varun did, she just started talking to him like they knew each other for a long time. Though it was kind of a mixed thought for Srinath that Ananya was giving mixed signals to him but he did show that to her rather he responded to her like a normal person.  “Hey, you must be Srinath right, my friend here said that you are like the brightest guy in the class and sports and you know most of the things…”  “Well sort of… Do I know you?”  “You don’t know me because I am not a famous person like you. I am just a normal teen girl.”  “Well yeah I know that you are a teen girl. But what was your name again.”  “It’s Ananya. Well now you know me and I know you better shall we be friends.”  Still Srinath was confused and answered her with a doubt still in his head, “Sure. Let’s be friends.”  As Ananya was kind of sweet and an extrovert she speaks straight from her heart and not from her mind, Srinath too kind of liked her. But he needed some time too before telling this to her. Because he thought that she would reject him and would avoid him if he does to propose to her. But that was not the case if he would have proposed to her when he thought too they could have got some more beautiful memories together but life had other plans and it is complex which could not be understood by anyone.  Days passed and they made out of every class together. Finally the most important day of their life arrived the day they both are going to propose to each other without knowing that both of them fancied each other.  The day they completed their twelfth grade was different they were going to be separated into different paths of their respective lives. Initially it was different and they were not really into each other. But being alone for most of the time and just being connected through call hit them hard and different so they decided to go at each other and show how they feel for each other. Still Srinath refused initially thinking that she was not into him and they are just friends. But that was not the case with Ananya she was completely into him and was ready to go into each other. So she decided to tell this to him before he proposes her and badly wanted to show her feelings for him as soon as possible so she called him and asked if he was free so that they both can meet so that she can show how she felt for him for years.  All these years though they were together all they did was just being friends nothing much. Though they were together all this time but all they did was just being friends and all they had was just some quality time and quality memories as just friends. Still they had an invisible magical bond between them without even knowing about it.  It was kind of awkward between them just being friends for a long time knowing that both of them were into each other.   Finally the day arrived and she called him for a meet so that they can get along with each other.  Ananya called him as soon as she got this thought as she did not care about anything and just wanted to be with him.  “Hey Srinath are you free this weekend.”  “Yeah kind of. What is it Ananya?”  “It’s been a long time since we met each other so I just thought that we could meet up sometime. So are you free this weekend?”  “Yeah sure Ananya we can meet I am free this weekend. Is there something special about this weekend?”  “Yeah kind of. Guess what?”  “Wait let me guess. Damn it is your birthday right. Sure let’s make this a memorable one. I will be at our place. Wait, it is at our place right coz it’s going to be your day and so you should decide what we should do for the day.”  “Yeah Srinath. It is at our place, you are damn right as always.”  “Is there something special our friends are coming right?”  “I asked them and they are kind of busy and had their own stuff. So it is going to be just the two of us.”  “That’s not a problem Ananya. I will make sure this will be the best birthday you had in years.”  “I know that you would do this for sure.”  “Okay let’s meet on my birthday.”  Finally, it was March 15, the day of Ananya’s birthday. She was thinking about the proposal, how to propose to him, what he is up to for her birthday and how he is going to take it when she proposes her. The thoughts were running in her head again and again, she could not even think about her birthday that she was eagerly waiting for days.   Life is strange right, the feelings you have for someone can make you forget even yourself. It is kind of strange the things we do. Humans, just social animals, we need someone by our side to mould our life and make us do things. The people by our side are the ones who makes us, defines us and make us do the things we do.  On the night of March 14, Ananya could not sleep she was just thinking about the stuff that was going inside her head repeatedly again and again it was like a loop that she was unable to come out of.   Time was running by but she was just thinking about the next day and just couldn’t come out of it.  She was just waiting for a call from Srinath but to her surprise Srinath arrived at her house to give her a surprise which made her day so special.   Srinath was planning this from the moment she called her and told him to come over. He found that she wanted her friends to make her day special but their friends were unable to make it. So he wanted to give her what she wanted whether it is going to be them both or with their friends. In the end all they had was themselves.   It was midnight and she was waiting eagerly to get a call from Srinath. Though she was an extrovert and say stuff in her mind straight but this was different, she was not able to tell this to him and ask him as it would be awkward.    So she waited… waited and waited until he arrived for her surprise.  Right at midnight Srinath arrived at her balcony and called her out through the window. But Ananya did not know that he was the one standing out the window. So she got near the window being scared what if it was someone else.  But she had a good vibe inside her so she opened the window. To her surprise there was Srinath was standing there with the best surprise she can get and had the most memorable day forever. That was the best birthday so far and will be the best day in the end too.  As soon as she opened the window Srinath wanted to propose her but he thought that she would take it differently so he resisted but he did not know that she is going to propose him. He can’t shout as he could wake everyone in her house. So he sang the birthday song for her at a low tone and wished her by saying, “Happy birthday to you, the best girl in my life, thanks for being my side always.” with a cake in his hand.   Ananya was just stunned and could not utter a single word. She wanted to propose him so badly but could not as she had already prepared everything to propose him in the evening when they will be out together.   However this was the best surprise and best wish she got in years. After this she was completely into him. She was just flattered by Srinath, now she just wanted him and wanted to live with him forever but she could not express her feelings for him. That was the case with Srinath too, he could not think about proposing her and showing his feelings for her thinking that she would leave him for good.  “Woah Srinath. I did not expect this from you. This is the perfect birthday surprise I have had in years. Thank you so much man.”  “Nah this is not yet over. Wait for the real surprise you are going to experience in the evening.”  “This is the best surprise I can get from anyone that I know of Srinath. There is something special for you too in the evening my man. Just wait for it.”  Srinath had everything planned but was confused as it was her birthday but she wants to give him something special on her birthday. It was kind of different. He was thinking about it again and again and again but was not able to come to a conclusion. All he can do was to wait and prepare something special for her birthday in the meantime.  Ananya had the place already ready for her birthday now all he had to do was to make it more special for her. He had everything planned to make her birthday the most special one. On the other hand Ananya was trying to make the day something special for her by proposing him on her birthday.  Finally the evening arrived, the time they were both waiting for. The place was decided by her which was just beautiful and stunning. It is the place that she frequently visits whether she is happy or sad. It was her favourite place since her childhood where she used to visit frequently.  She had everything ready for the day and was only waiting for Srinath to come over, on the other hand he had everything set for the evening from his side to give her the best birthday she could ever imagine. Now both of them were waiting for the special day that they both were thinking of, the day which is going to change their lives once and for all.  Finally the evening arrived, the time that they both were waiting for. Srinath was waiting to give her the best birthday she could get so that he could win her heart. Ananya was waiting to propose him the one thing which she badly wanted to do all her life from the moment she saw him but couldn’t. This was the only thing she was waiting to do stored in her mind for years.  It was Ananya’s favourite place which she gets to whenever she is on cloud nine or deep down to earth. She was the only person to get there all time, she was the only person who knows the magnificent view one can get from that place. The other person who could visit with her to that place was Srinath that too was because of her and for her until he fell in love with that place too. This was the second time Srinath gets to go there with Ananya and alone. He did not always find time to get there.  Finally they arrived at the place. Ananya was just astonished watching the most beautiful place she would ever know to be more beautiful because of Srinath. The place looked like it was just out of a happy ending movie. Srinath had put in so much effort to make that place the most beautiful place on earth and to give what Ananya deserves, that too was done by him alone, only by himself. It was just like a dream for Ananya when Srinath walked right into her with all the arrangements and boom she was just out of her mind. She was unable to think of anything else right now. It was completely him in her mind, fully occupied.  Srinath came in front of her with a bokeh of flowers in one hand and a cake in the other which said, “Happy birthday Ananya”. After placing the cake on the table right next to him, he kneeled with one leg and gave the bokeh of flowers to Ananya and said…  At this moment Ananya was literally the most happiest person in the world and thought that he was going to propose her but he was scared whether she would leave him for good so he skipped the part where he wanted to propose and wished her happy birthday so different that she had not heard this kind of wish ever before in her life.  Srinath wished Ananya by saying that, “Happy birthday to the most beautiful and craziest girl I would ever get in my life… as a friend. This is your freaking day girl, enjoy it to the best and never hesitate of trying out anything different, FYI you don’t hesitate just to be sure. Just kidding. Make this the memorable day of your life girl. Here’s a toast to you, to us, together forever.” He finished his wish and the balloons were there to make it more special. There were hundreds of balloons flying behind him.  Ananya did not know what to reply. It was like the best thing she would ever get in her life. Her eyes were filled with tears because of joy but her mind was in a frozen state because of this out of the earth surprise.   The things she had in her mind were completely wiped out and she did not know how to propose to him now.   She was just standing there with tears of joy rolling out of her eyes. She was like, “Holy freak man, this was the birthday I ever got in my life man. I will never forget this in my life forever. I just don’t know what to say. Thank you so much dude.”  “Say no more this is not over yet, you have more to come so thank me later.”  “What? More to come, this was more than I ever expected in my life man. I can’t take this much happiness at once man.”  He got his own homemade dinner and drinks made by him and arranged it on the table like it was a candle light dinner. They both were alone in the top of the hill no one near them. It was like being in the top of the world alone.  “Well here you go your favourite food and drink, entirely made by me.”  He poured the juice into the glasses, took one and gave one to Ananya. “Cheers mate. Here’s a toast to us. To you, the birthday girl, to be together forever.”  Ananya couldn’t hold it anymore but also forgot how to propose him at this kind of situation. As he made her whole day, now she just can’t barge in and say boom I love you.  So she was hesitating to tell this to him but the other side of her wanted to propose him so badly. Finally she came to a conclusion that she needs to propose to him now.  “Hey Srinath after all of this I just can’t wait no more. I need to tell you something right now man.”  But Srinath was in two minds at the time. He was happy that she was going to propose to him on the brighter side but there was also a possibility that she keeps him friend zoned and he could not take that.  After a long time of suspense for him finally she proposed, he accepted and told her how he feels about her too. They both wanted to do this for a long time. Finally they did it and had a magical movie ending but that was not really a beginning but was just the beginning of a new chapter.  “Life does not work the way you like always. It is like a mad roller coaster ride. It has both ups and downs, happiness and sorrow. No one can understand life and the only thing you can do is to live it to the extent. You will be the happiest person in the world for one moment but on the next moment you will be the most fucked up person in this world. No one can explain this shit.”  The proposal they both made was just magical and cannot be explained through words.  Ananya kneeled with one leg in front of Srinath and proposed to him by saying those magical words that every man dreams of hearing in his life. She said that, “This was the best birthday I could ever imagine in my life man. Not a single person in this earth had put in this much effort for my birthday so far. This is like magic, something straight out of a happy ending movie. I just don’t want this day to end throughout my life and I want you to be my side forever. I am not saying this because you did this for me. I feel for you right from the moment I saw you man. The first day you joined our school I feel something different after the things we have been through I know that you are the person for me Srinath. I just need you to be by my side forever throughout my life. So will you be my better half for the rest of my life and I can be your better half?”  Srinath was just standing there and does not know what to say to her. After hearing out her words he was just mesmerised. He was in a state of trance for some time, he was not able to utter a word out of his mouth, and his eyes were filled with the tears of joy. He could not express how he felt at that time with just words.   Finally he came to his conscience and said that he was interested in her too and fell for her right from the moment he saw her. “Woah Ananya, I just could not believe what just happened right now girl. I have always wanted to do this. I love you too from that particular moment.”  “Don’t say anything, I know the moment which you are talking.”  “Really was it that obvious. Tell me when. I want to hear it.”  “I know Srinath, the very first moment I came to talk to you. I saw it in your eyes man, it was so obvious.”  “Yeah Ananya, it’s kind of awkward right. However I have always wanted to say this to you. I have even prepared for a proposal like the one you did, so magical. But I was scared what if you would leave me for good and that is why I did not say anything. I just deleted that part from my mind and said the rest to you as a birthday wish girl.”  “Really you have prepared that as well. I just couldn’t get myself out from the surprise you gave me and I am unable to bear more happiness than that. This was the happiest day in my life man and I am the happiest person in this world. However I want to hear it out man. I would love to please.”  “Well I am not entirely ready for that Ananya, shall we do this some other time. Now you should enjoy this dinner.”  “No, I have to and I want to hear it out man. Count it as a wish from a birthday girl. Please… Please…. Please…. Please… Please.”  “Okay… Okay you don’t have to do this. You win birthday girl. I will do it right now.”  “Oh I am excited man. Do it… Do it… Do it…”  “Just don’t laugh when I do it or I will forget what to say.”  “Okay… Okay… Sure, my mouth is zipped.”  “Hey Ananya, many more happy returns of the day to the best girl I know. I just want you to be happy forever. I just want you to be the happiest person in the world. Here’s a toast to you, to us, forever together. And I want to be a part of your beautiful life to make it more beautiful and make more memories together Ananya. On this special day let’s start something special, let’s start our life together. Will you accept me?”  Ananya couldn’t find words to reply to this, she was just in a state of shock until Srinath snapped her out of that phase. Her eyes were just filled with tears of joy and were not able to utter a word. She just hugged him real tight and did not let go of him.  “I just need this Ananya, never let go of me and I will never let go of you too.”  “I would never do that Srinath. I just need you in my life forever man.”  “Well after all of this shall we eat because I am starving?”  “Hey after all of this you want to eat. Are you kidding me Srinath?”  “Yeah kind of but I have made this for you putting in lots and lots of effort so just have a taste my girl.”  “Have a taste, no not really I am going to eat it completely, actually I am kind of starved too but after telling you everything it feels kind of different man.”  “Then let’s complete this day with a good meal.”  They ate everything completely and had their drinks too. But Ananya felt like something was missing but Srinath had it all covered?   “Was this all you imagined Ananya, I have tried my level best to give everything that you wanted? Are you happy now?”  “Yeah this was more than what I wanted but I feel like something is missing man.”  “Say none I know that it was missing but still I had it as another surprise.” He takes a box from under the table, “Your favourite chocolate ice cream. As I said I had it all covered up don’t have to think of anything else.”  “Ice cream at this night with this cold breeze. You are really stupid like me man. We make the best pair.”  “Yeah kind of that is why we are here together Ananya.”  Then they ate their ice cream with a touch of cold breeze, beautiful scenery and lots and lots of love. It was the best day in both of their lives.  Finally it was time for Ananya to leave so she tried to book a cab home but she could not find any and was waiting. Though Srinath offered her with a ride she did not want to give him more burden. But deep down she wished to have a night drive with him with no one around. They both were kind of nocturnal, as they like night time more than morning.  “Hey don’t need to book a taxi Ananya just come with me I will drop you at your home safely.”  “Hey no Srinath, you have already given me more than I asked for. I just don’t want to give you more burden. I can manage it is already late and your house is quite far too so you carry on man.”  “There is nothing like that Ananya, I just can’t leave you alone in here right. Plus you like night rides too right. So we can have our first night ride together.”  “Yeah that would be great. But…”  “There are no ands or buts, I want you to come with me Ananya. I will drive safe and slow if you want or let’s have a speedy ride together. It’s your call but you have to come with me.”  “Okay then let’s do this man. Count me in.”  That ride was the best ride she had even though she felt tired and wants to get to sleep so badly, she enjoyed the trip like it was the last trip of their life. The ride was so good which can only be experienced and cannot be expressed through words. As it was a cliff where they were the ride downhill was so great, the scenery around, Ananya hugging him so tight that he could not breathe but he liked it too. It was like being with the right person at the right place and the right time. It was so good that she can feel the adrenaline rush running through her veins.  Finally they reached her house but she wanted him to drop her at the corner of the street but he insisted that he would drop her right in front of the house but she never listens to anyone and does what she likes.   “Hey Srinath, stop… stop… stop… I can manage from here.”  “However I am here it’s just like two hundred meters from here Ananya. I will just drop you right in front of the house girl. It’s not a problem for me.”  “Hey it’s okay man. I can manage from here. It’s not a big deal man, really.”  “Okay then it’s your call however you are not going to listen to whatever I say now as you are already fixed in your mind.”  “I don’t want to disturb my parents and neighbours at this time man as you know your bike has the most intense sound which is kind of good too but not at this time.”  “Okay then let me walk you to your house as it is too late right. Let me come with you and I will make no noise. It’s for sure.”  “Okay come with me however you are not going to listen too as you are fixed in your mind too. That makes us unique right.”  He walked her home and waited outside the house until she got inside her house.  “I just don’t want this walk to end Ananya, I just want to walk with you like this forever.”  “Sure man nothing or no one is going to separate us from each other whatever happens we are going to be like this together forever.”  “How are you going to get in at this time without waking up your parents Ananya?”  “Actually I have already told them I am having a sleepover today at Keerthi’s house so it’s not a big deal now the only thing I had to do is to sneak into my house and that is not new for me. I can just do that in a go.”  Then they reached the front of her house to drop her off. It was dead silent there and the experience was just magical being with her alone in the night with a cold breeze touching them. Ananya asked Srinath to go once they reached the house but he was so protective that he asked her to go inside and he would not leave that place until she gets inside her house. “Go man I can manage from here. I am literally in front of my house man nothing is going to happen to me.” “You go inside first. I will wait until you go. That would never be a problem for me.” “Okay duh.” Though she was like she did not like him to be over protective but she had a smile on her face which can be clearly seen by Srinath. So he waited until she closed the door and waved him bye from the balcony of her house.  After that he went to his house and thus the best day of their life ended. But they would never forget this day whatever happens. They both wanted this day to never end and to be continued forever until the last day of our life.  “But time, life and love are complex things which cannot be understood easily. It seems to be nice in the beginning and can make us the happiest person in the world but all of a sudden everything can be changed which can give you intense amounts of pain.” Life had other plans for their life. Though they had the best days in their lives together it is not going to be like that forever. Times have changed, people say true love never dies yes it is but…. They were so happy together. They got into the same college and the same course. They spent each and every second they had together. Love is like wine, the more times time it takes the best it transforms into. Both of them chose biotechnology as their stream of study as they were already science students it was not a big deal to get into the same stream they both like. They use to top in all the exams they take hence they got good scores and got into the best university in their city, it was their dream university too. They had everything in their life so far, a good university, a good stream of study and the best partners they can have. After getting into college everything was good except it was kind of boring so they decided to spend some quality time together so they decided to go on frequent trips when they want to and when they are feeling like everything sucks. Now they just have to decide the best place to go to. They already have one but their place, “the cliff” was kind of very close and they wanted to spend more time together so they wanted some place not too close or not too far away from their place. They searched like all over the Internet for hours but they were unable to find the perfect place that they wanted. However they came across a very small blog literally with ten followers but that place is going to give them the most beautiful memories they could have ever imagined in their life. It’s the place they have always dreamt of, it was straight out of a happing ending movie. The scenery was just great and they loved that place. They used to visit the place on special occasions like their birthdays and their love anniversary which is obviously her birthday. It was on the hills of Ooty and so they have to go by bus or by bike. Both of them do not like travelling in buses so they decided to get there by his bike. As she loved riding with him, he too accepted for what she asked.  The ride, the place and the stay everything was just magical and they loved it very much. These were the moments that made into their memories forever.  “But life is neither sweet nor bitter. Life can be described as sweetbitter as both of which plays an important role in the lives of each and every one. There is no such thing as a so called happy ending everything is decided from the perspective of each and every person on this planet. The even bitter truth is that the way a person wanted to live his life is also decided by the society and the people around him. There is no such thing as free will in this world everyone is being controlled by the superior ones and the freaking fate.” Everything was good in their life. But finding that one freaking magical place was their biggest mistake in their life. Because that is the only thing that is going to be responsible for their separation in their life. Yes that is the reason why they are going to be separated in the near future. They used to visit that place when there is a special occasion or a long leave, mostly during the weekends. If the occasion falls on any of the weekdays they would visit their favourite cliff where both of them proposed each other. They just wanted to go there badly on every occasion they would find worth it.  But the most important journey of their life was on his birthday four years later. It was their final year together in their college so they wanted to make it more special. Hence Ananya decided to celebrate Srinath’s birthday in the hills. At first Srinath hesitated as their final exams were nearing but Ananya managed to get hold of him and made him go there.  “Hey Srinath, let’s go to our spot for this birthday man as this is our senior year and things would turn out different after our college, we cannot be as free as right now. So let’s make this birthday a memorable one for you.” “I am eagerly waiting for that day too but what about our exams?” “We can manage that Srinath, it’s not a big issue. We can prepare it after our trip there is still like two months. It is not a problem man.” “It’s okay. But…” “No ifs and buts for now. We are going. That’s all.” “Hey just imagine girl. It’s our last year together in college. We can do this after completing our course.” “Time can never stay for us man. Let’s go. Please… please… please…please… for me.” “Okay, if you are happy with it, then let’s go for sure. No problem.” However they managed to reach the hill top on his birthday, the 28th of January. The ride there was so beautiful and the view was just splendid. Though it was so far from their house, Ananya managed to go there the day before his birthday by bus and had everything planned and ready for his birthday. It was so beautiful from the place and it was the greatest spot to celebrate one’s birthday or any special occasion. She had everything planned as great as this was their senior year so she wanted to do something good for him. She wanted to give him the best birthday ever but could not just copy his preparation but wanted to do more than that. So she thought and thought and thought. Finally came up with the best idea for his birthday. But the place was the same as for that of her birthday, their place. The only thing which made her feel bad was having his birthday at the same place with the same idea. But this was their final year in college and so she wanted to make it a blast at their place. She planned it to be their favourite bike ride, the best thing they can experience and liked to experience it again and again, the magical moments and the best memories.  After all, the most important day of their life arrived, the one that is going to change her life once and for all. They planned to go there early in the morning and return late at night so that they can get the wholesome experience out of the day. So they had a plan of starting at eight in the morning as their houses were near to each other there were no time differences for their departure. Srinath reached her place by 8:15 in the morning but the travel takes more time with the traffic and they were not able to drive fast as it was a cliff on top of a mountain, they were not allowed to drive fast and couldn’t. It usually takes like four hours to travel by bike as the speed limit was minimum due to mountain roads, the way to get there was so steep thus they cannot drive fast to get there. However it was their final best shot as it was their senior year in college, this was the time where they can enjoy the last days of their college. This was the main reason behind their travel to that place. But they did not know that this top is going to affect their lives in ways they could not imagine. “After all, life is just a freaking mad roller coaster ride right.” “That is life right, it cannot always be positive, life is like the symbol of yin and yang, it has both positives and negatives.” However the lives of these four people had just a small number of positive moments and a diversified large number of negative moments. Srinath arrived at her house but did not want to disturb her parents so he texted her but she did not attend so he called her by phone. “Hey Ananya, you there. It’s already late, we have to go now. Come fast.” “Yeah. I am on my way, Srinath. Just a minute, wait for me. I will come now.” “Waiting…” Finally, she came out of her house and they started their journey. It was one of the best times they had so far. Ananya loves going fast so she asked him to go fast. They reached sooner than expected. The place was just beautiful that day added with her preparation for his birthday. The place was just beautiful. It was just the mountains, the cold breeze and them both. They reached the place by noon but still the place was cold as it was in the mountains the perfect place to spend the rest of their day as it was too hot down there. Ananya asked Srinath to close his eyes so she can surprise him with his cake. The decorations so far seen by Srinath was just the beginning there were still more to come. She had everything planned for the rest of the day. She tied Srinath’s eyes with a piece of cloth and asked him to move forward holding his hand to the place where the cake for his birthday was being kept. He was so excited about his birthday but did not show that in his eyes. “That is what men do. It’s a boy thing.” “Where are you taking me Ananya? Fast I am starving and I cannot wait anymore.” “Yeah. We are here. Hold on for a minute.” “Okay… okay… fast.” She took him to the spot and took the piece of cloth from his eyes and showed him what she had done for his birthday. He was just stunned by what he just saw. Everything around there was so beautiful and well organized. He was so happy that she made the whole thing just for him. He was on his cloud nine. He could not think of anything else rather than his love for her and her love for him. The place was so beautifully decorated. The decorations were so great that were made just by her. He was so impressed form her hard work for his one single day. The place was completely filled with balloons you cannot even see your own legs there as there were so many balloons. On top of that there was his favourite chocolate cake completely made by herself for his birthday. “How is the cake Srinath? I made this one myself. Taste it and tell me how it is?” “You made this cake. Is it safe for sure to eat?” “Hey. Now you have to eat it whether it is good or bad but you have to complete the whole cake. It is on you now.” “Hey I was just kidding Ananya. Whether you tell me or not I am going to complete this whole cake by myself.” “No you are not. Let me have some man.” “Let me think about that.” “You can think about the cake later. First blow the candles and cut your cake.” “Wait… Wait… I have something important to do before that.” “What is more important than this right now man.” “To hug you tight for making this all for me.” He hugs her so tight and says just one thing. “I just want three things in my life forever Ananya. First, yourself. Second, I don’t want this day to end forever. And finally I just need you to be by my side forever. Let’s make a promise that we would never part ways from here.” Ananya was speechless after hearing it and did not know what to say rather than crying out of happiness. “I promise you Srinath that I would never leave you and we would never be separated from each other.” Then they cut his cake and ate it. “To be true Ananya. It tastes good for real. Thank you so much.” The day was theirs. She had everything planned such as lunch, dinner and even desserts. Everything was prepared just by herself except for the ice creams she bought for him. Two of his favourite flavours from every variety. It was just his day on the whole. They enjoyed the day like it was the last day of their lives. Everything she did for him cannot just be expressed through words. After eating everything and clicking photos of themselves. They were so tired so they decided to just lie down on the grass as they had more time remaining. They both laid down on the grass and watched the sky, the moon and the stars. Everything was so great to look at from that cliff. “I just want this to be continued throughout our life Ananya. Just you, me and the sky. I just want to get stuck at this moment forever.” “Oh so cute Srinath. I need that to happen too but that is not how things work. However we can visit this place whenever we feel like visiting right.” “Still we don’t get to see the same constellations everyday right. Each and every day is unique so let’s take some photos at this beautiful place and beautiful time.” “Yeah sure Srinath.” After taking all the photos they finally decided to leave the place. It was so dark. All they had was the moon light and his bike’s head light.  The journey was so beautiful, the road going down the hill was so good. But the thing that is waiting for them at the end of the road was not known to them. Everything was good so far. Ananya was feeling tired so she hold him tight and slept while Srinath was riding the bike. Knowing that she slept at the back of the seat, Srinath was riding the bike so slow even though he did not like going slow, he did it for her. Everything was great until a car came at high speed opposite them with a driver who was drunk. It was all over in a fraction of a second. Srinath tried to stop and go sideways but the road was so narrow and steep. He knows that something is going to happen. He wakes Ananya up so that he could save her at least but there is no other way. Ananya just woke up from her sleep and before realizing what was happening, they both were down but the car was long gone without helping them. She sees Srinath with blood puddling around his head and trying to get up to help Ananya. Ananya was feeling dizzy and could not see anything clear soon she became unconscious. As it was the road on the hill no one was there to help him. After an hour people travelling along that road helped them and got them admitted to a hospital. The cops were all over the place as they did not know how did this happen. After a week Ananya regains consciousness and utters “Srinath…” and soon lost consciousness again. Later that day, her parents and doctors were in front of her eyes soon after she gained her consciousness. But all she was looking was for Srinath and asked for him to her parents and doctors. But all she heard was the name Srinath which his parents were crying out loud. She asked the doctors what happened to which he replied, “I should not say this to you right now but you have to know about it. You have to take this slow Ananya.” “What is it doctor I need to know it now?” “You both have been unconscious for a week. Fortunately you gained consciousness after a week but it did not happen in his case. He died two days before due to internal injuries to his head we tried our best for five days but we could not save him after all. Sorry to say this but he did not make it Ananya.” She was just broken and did not know what to say. The only love she got in her life is now dead. What more can she experience bad in her life. But it is not over yet. Still she had more to come. She just wants to look at him for one last time but she was unable to move. However the doctors took her on a stretcher to the mortuary and showed her his corpse. It was the same face he had that night. The same last look he had before dying. She was not able to control her tears, she just burst out of tears. She could not even touch him with her hands as there were several fractured bones in her body. But with the help of the nurses she touched him for one last time. Now she did not have anything to live for but to be a living corpse. Still life had some evil plans for her. She could not even move for days. She thought that it was because of the accident. But there is something her parents and the doctors hid from her. The doctors wanted to say this to her but couldn’t as her parents requested not to. After a couple of days she finally managed to get up from the bed. Her mother was nearby and she tried to wake her up but her mother was in deep sleep. So she decided to take up a walk on her own. She stumbled a lot to walk, however she managed to get to a mirror but she did not want to see herself. But there were more to come. She was shocked to look in the mirror she was so lean with most of the hair on her head fell. She was even scared by seeing her. She shouted like hell to which everyone around her came to her as it was so loud in the middle of the night. Everyone asked her what happened but she did not tell anything until her father and the doctors arrived. They were happy that she was now able to walk but what she had in mind was not known by the doctors and her parents. They did not know what to say to her but asked her why she was shouting. They thought that she was crying out loud because of Srinath’s demise but they did not know the bigger picture. She asked them what happened to her and why was she like this. That is when they came to know why she was shouting like that in the middle of the night. And that is why they have to tell everything to her. It was so hard for her parents to tell this to her so they asked the doctors to tell her what happened. “Dad. Please tell me. What is happening with me? I need to know right now.” “I don’t know how to say this to you Ananya. You are already broken because of his death. I can’t tell this to you right now Ananya. Just be quiet for some time. Let’s discuss this in the morning.” “I have to know this right now dad. I can’t sleep without knowing what is happening with me.” “I cannot tell this to you Ananya. But I will let the doctor tell you what happened.” “Doctor. At least you should tell me what happened.” “Okay. Ananya come to my office. I have to show you some reports regarding your health. There is something you need to know.” She goes to the doctor’s cabin with her father and that is when she came to know what was happening to her. “You have to take it up slow Ananya. I came to know that your boyfriend died. I am sorry for your loss. But still you have to know something bigger than that. Last week when you came in we found internal blood leaks in your body. So we decided to examine your whole body to find out whether the internal organs are damaged. That is when we came to know that you are affected by a rare cancer known as ovarian cancer. You have to take it strong Ananya. We are trying our best to save you from this disease. But it depends on your will power as it would be the last couple of days in your life.” “What are you saying, doctor? How did I get this cancer doctor?” “It is not on you Ananya, it is by nature. It could have been detected in earlier stages if you have been checked for it at a hospital Ananya. At this stage it is hard for one to survive past this. Be strong Ananya. I don’t know what else to say.” Ananya could not say anything she just burst into tears. Her life was going so down that everything she had is going away from her. Her love is gone, her life is gone and now she could not even get a good death. Life was so unfair to her. “You have to be strong Ananya. These must be the last couple of days you have, so you have to be strong. This could be fatal. You are basically on your death bed Ananya, I don’t know what else to say. With proper medication and life support we could increase your life span by some days. But without proper medication and life support these few days would be so bad for you.” “I don’t know what to say doctor. I am just broken by these two. I don’t feel like I want to live anymore but for dying I could not even get a good death.” “Don’t say like this Ananya. Everything is going to be okay soon. Just wait for the right time Ananya. After seeing your reports you just have three more months to live your life even with proper medication and life support. So you have to get yourself admitted right now Ananya.” Ananya could not say anything but wanted to live her life as she needs. Even on going down she wants to go on the best ride down. So she decided to spend the rest of her life happily by exploring things she likes to experience for one last time. She wants to spend the last three months in ways she could ever imagine. But the doctors had other plans for her last three months. They had to provide her with proper medication and life support. She has to undergo chemotherapy too which is very painful. After a month of medication she was so lean and shaved her hair completely but never felt ashamed about that. She just wanted to live her life as her own. So she decided to visit every place in India as she was not allowed to travel overseas as her medical condition did not permit her to do so. So she wanted to see the beautiful places in India completely. She started from Coimbatore right onto north for a month and wanted to spend her final month in south India. Though her parents and the doctors advised her not to go. But she wanted to live her best life. As there is very less chance of her survival she wants to live her life to the fullest. In that way she could at least get the best out of her life in the end run. Finally she convinced her parents to leave her out of the town so she can get the best out of her life. She had everything planned. As she was an extrovert who likes to travel she had everything planned in such a way that she can get the best out of everyday of her last two months. First, she started her journey with the Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh which was the best place to visit before one dies. She wanted to enjoy the last drop of experience from every place. The place was just beautiful, the long roads and beautiful valleys gives the most pleasant experience and to get to see the snowy mountains and the snowy cold desert. The Chandralal Lake, key monastery and kumzum pass were one of the notable places to visit in Spiti. It was one of the coldest places on the earth so she had to be cautious and spend less time over there due to her medical condition. The sun shine was most hardly seen but the night time and the constellations were just a magical experience for one to see. She spent most of the first week in the place. The next place she planned to visit was Manali, the snow-capped slopes from the same Himachal Pradesh. The only difference from Spiti was that the former place had a very little sun time but this place had the most beautiful sun rise and sun sets. It is one of the best jaw dropping views one can imagine, the green forests, sprawling meadows, gushing streams, perpetual mist in the air, and a constant fragrance of pines. It was the best place one could find to find inner peace. The most notable places were Solang valley and Jogini waterfall. She had one of the best moments there. It was like living in the afterlife as the place was so magical. Next she planned to visit the Leh Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir. In Ladakh she went to Pangong Lake, Khardung La and Nubra valley. It was one of the amazing places to visit with abundant attractive places, fabulous landscapes and beautiful scenery. It was like the heaven of the afterlife on earth. It was magical right from the sceneries to the place where it is situated in between two of the majestic mountains, Himalaya and Karakoram. The final days of the second week were decided to be spent in the Kanha national park. It was one of the largest National park in India where she can get to see everything naturally available in India. She wanted to view the real beauty in the night but she couldn’t due to her medical conditions. The next place she wanted to visit was the Great Rann of Kutch. Though it was just a vast area of salt marshland still the place was a beautiful scenery to look at. The sunsets added with the salt marshland were just mesmerizing to her eyes. Watching the moon on a full moon night in the captivated surrounding just made her realise what life is and helped her to move on with her life with Srinath’s demise and her medical condition. The final week of the first month ended with her visiting the Taj Mahal from Agra. One of the most beautiful places one can visit in their life. She had always wanted to visit that place with her love but life always had other plans so it’s just her now. Though she was alone there physically but mentally Srinath was travelling with her throughout her journey in her heart and memories. The place was just majestically beautiful. The Taj Mahal does not just contain the dome but the surrounding areas too making the place immensely beautiful. She could not utter a word but to just watch it peacefully. She just sat down viewing the Taj Mahal with Srinath’s photo and the sunset. It made her feel very real as if he was with her the whole journey, a journey of life. The last days of the first month were planned to be completed in Goa, the most beautiful party town one can experience in one’s life. She had the best time in her life. It was the place that made her a little bit happier in her life. She visited every place in Goa such as Calangute Beach, Fort Aguada and had the most beautiful cruise in Goa. But she was not able to enjoy the whole cruise as she can just be on the cruise in the morning due to her medical condition. But after requesting for a long time she finally managed to be there at least until the night when the moon arrives. She stood on the cruise with a photo of Srinath with just the light of moon and a tear from her eye. It was the most magical moment in her life. Though he was not there with her right now his memories made being with her throughout the cruise. After an hour she was advised to get to the land. After the cruise she had the best parties in town for the rest of the three days but she could just watch it rather than getting into it. Though she was down by her physical health, she was always high on her mental health. When returning to south India she wanted to visit the Lakshadweep and Andaman islands but she could not due to her medical conditions. So she decided to experience the rest of the places. She started the journey of her last month starting from Visakhapatnam, the beautiful beaches and rich heritage. The place was just beautiful. It was similar to Goa as it was a party town too. She enjoyed much with the parties and beaches. It was an experience of collective emotions in her life. The beaches were just a single half of the Vizag city. But the second half contains the alluring lush green hills on the other side which were just the natural beauty of the city. The mountains made her bring back her memories from their favourite place, the cliff where Ananya and Srinath used to go every time when they feel to. The next week was composed of the trips in Coorg, Hampi and Bangalore. All of them were from the same state but they were different from each other. Coorg had the most beautiful places such as Abbey falls and camping In Madikeri which was both beautiful. The former was one of the most beautiful waterfalls one can see in their life. Whereas the latter was just having a mystical experience. She had the best time in Coorg. After finishing the trip in Coorg for three days, she continued her trip to Bangalore which was again a party town and ate everything she likes because of the food streets in Bangalore. Finally the Hampi had the most beautiful sculptures and age old statues and monuments. The experience was just great. She started off the next week with Munnar from Kerala. The scenery was just beautiful with its famous tea estates, exotic lush greenery and beautiful peaks. It was just a magical experience for her like the afterlife as Kerala is basically known as the God’s own country.  Then she continued with the Varkala beach which is famous for its natural springs and beaches. Finally she came to Pondicherry where she spent two days on the beaches and rich French heritage. It was also a party town where she can get the most out of her final days. At last the final week of her life, she wanted to spend it in their favourite spot, the cliff where she had her first and last moments with the love of her life. She wanted to spend the rest of her final life in Ooty as it was also a magical spot for one to live their final life. And that is when she came across Varun as they had to board the same bus. This is when both of their lives are going to take a different turn in their respective lives. Is it fate or is it destiny?

The moment they came across each other. Is it fate or is it destiny or is it a game played by life to change their lives forever. Ananya was at the back of Varun wearing a t-shirt with her head completely shaven. Varun did not notice this in the beginning as he was not interested in the trip so he had his ear phones on hearing music. Everything was normal until Ananya’s mother called her to check if she was okay as she did not want her parents to travel with her as she wanted to have the whole experience alone in this big world. Varun had a low noise in his headphones as his sister was nearby scolding him for always having his head phones on. As the volume was less he could hear everything, at first he did not care to listen to anyone as he did not like listening to others. But after hearing out her talking over the phone he was just broken and realized that his life was not as bad as compared to Ananya’s life. “Tell me mom.” “How are you Ananya? Are the pains still persisting dear?” “I am good mom. No problem. I am still alive and had an entire week before I go mom.” “What are you telling dear? Don’t speak like this. You should come to the hospital so that we can treat you and can extend your life time for some days.” “No mom I don’t feel like coming back. I would travel to different places and enjoy my final days rather than being in the same bed for the last few days. I should feel like living mom.” “But… We need you to be alive and happy dear.” “I could not live for more days like this mom but the experience I had all these days cannot be obtained just by being in the same hospital and not living my life mentally.” “But…” “Leave it mom. I just want to live my final moments as I want to mom. I just want to have the best life and want to go down like I want to. I had already lost him from my life still I had to live my best life and I can’t leave that too from my life.” After hearing this he could not control himself. Tears were flowing down from his eyes but couldn’t express anything as his sister was nearby. His sister thought that he was crying because of the songs but he was crying after hearing out Ananya. He was waiting for the trip to finish and was craving to see her. Finally the bus arrived at the stop and he gets to see her. Ananya came before him to get down. On getting down she hits him without knowing. Though she was so broken down she was so soft, she asked him sorry and gave a smile which he would never forget in his life. That smile… That one damn smile changed his life forever. She got down but Varun did not know how to get to her. Soon after Varun wants to go after her too but his sister was with him. So he hesitated to go after her. However he said that he wanted to visit his friend who lives there. Fortunately she agrees too so Varun asks his sister to go to the room they booked so he can go after her without knowing that she only had a week to live. “Hey sis, I have to visit my college friend who lives like three blocks from here. I have to go right now.” “Wait… wait… wait… You said that you would not come with me but how come you got someone living here all of a sudden.” “I just got a message from him that he was here. He replied for my snap right now. You can check it if you want. You can go to your room, it is just right around the block. You can manage right.” “Yeah I can manage but what about your bag?” “Ah. I had it I will call you when coming to the room.” “Yeah okay. Bye.” “Call me once you get to the room. Okay. Don’t forget to make the call.” “Okay sure. You be careful out there.” After that he goes after her. He thinks of calling her out but did not know her name. So he just followed her right onto her spot. It was an evening when they arrived at the cliff. It was just Ananya and Varun at the cliff as no one used to go there. It was just Srinath and Ananya who used to go there all the time. Varun did not know where he was going in the first place. But right after looking at the place, it was so beautiful. He was angry with him that how come he missed this beautiful place all the years. “That is what people do. We don’t enjoy what we have around us rather just thinking about the small problems around us which is not a big deal.” After reaching the place Ananya took a picture from her bag, Srinath’s picture. After some time looking in the sky and the picture, Ananya kneeled down to her knees and burst into tears thinking about her life and the beautiful memories they had together. She had her oxygen tank in her bag in case of an emergency. As it was too cold in there without oxygen due to high altitudes and hard feelings she got a lack of oxygen which made her hard to breathe. There was no one to save her except for Varun. Varun went next to her but doesn’t know what to do. She asked Ananya what was the problem but she couldn’t speak due to lack of oxygen. Varun took his jacket and gave it to Ananya but still he was unable to save her from what she was going through. “Think Varun… Think…” However she managed to point out her bag as a hint to save her. “What are you trying to say? Shall I call out for an ambulance? I don’t know what to do. Shit… Shit… Shit… What am I supposed to do now?” She was struggling to breathe but he doesn’t know what to do and she doesn’t know how to say it to him. Finally he managed to understand what she was trying to say. He opened up her bag and found out the oxygen tank. He figured out how to do it as he was a science student, it was easier for him to realize what to do. After a lot of effort Varun saved her and made her sit down peacefully, asked her to calm down, and asked her what happened. “Hey… Are you okay right now? What is it with you and this place? Is there something I can do?” “Yeah I am okay right now. It is a big story. Thanks for saving my life, it would have been hard if you were not there.” “Hey… Mention not. It’s nothing. You are okay now right. That is enough for me. What is it with you? Can you explain it to me?” “Yeah I will but who are you. And how did you find this place.” “Actually, I followed you to this place. Don’t take me wrong but I heard everything you spoke with your mom. I just need to know more about you. If you are okay with it, you can tell me. I am processing a heart break too.” “Followed me. Are you a stalker?” “No. This is why I did not meet you in the first place. But I like you and your taste. I just need to know more about you right now. Please don’t take me wrong.” Eventually Ananya decided to tell everything to him as that is human nature. “People always need a single soul to listen to what they say. It is just what every person needs in his or her life. All you need is a single soul. Even if they are unknown to you still you can talk to them freely and convey your feelings.” “Speak… It saves you from your mental break down. This is my way of speaking to someone. Without this I would be in a mental break down too.” “I would tell you everything but you should promise me that you will tell me about your heart break too. Let’s not make this a one way traffic.” “Sure… I need someone to speak too. I think you would be the best person to talk to.” Ananya told everything right from the moment she saw Srinath until the moment he left her alone in this world and died. She also explained her medical condition to Varun that she was having ovarian cancer and she just had one more week to live that too with life support. She told him that without life support it was so hard to pass this week too. She also told him about her one last travel around India but couldn’t complete it due to her medical condition. She told him everything, they talked for hours. She couldn’t even speak fluently due to tears flowing down her eyes. However she managed to tell him her complete story. After completing her story she asked Varun for his story but before her story it was nothing. All he thought as a bad past was nothing compared to Ananya’s past and present. He was ashamed of himself and felt awkward telling his story as it was nothing compared in front of her story. However after repeatedly requested by Ananya, Varun told everything about him. Right from the moment she fell in love with Megha until her constantly rejecting him and eventually blocked him. After completing his story he himself said that it was not as bad as your life and sorry for interrupting your good memories. They spoke for hours and had the best time they had in years, it was something magical. It was like they met their soulmates for the second time. They were just mesmerized by hearing each other. They did not come to reality until Varun’s sister called him to ask when he was coming as it was too late. “Hey you there? When are you planning to come to the hotel?” “Yes I am on my way. I will be there right now.” “Hey Ananya, looks like it is late and you have to get to your room right. Could you tell me the place where you are staying so that I can drop you there?” “I am staying at Blue blossoms Hotel. I can still manage no problem.” “Hey it is not a problem for me, I am staying at the same hotel too so it is not an issue. I can drop you at the hotel. It would be good to have a walk to the hotel while we can talk about more stuff.” They walked all the way to the hotel. Talked… talked… talked until they reach their hotel. It was so great that they get to know about each other. He walked her all the way to her room and then got to his. “I just had the best time with you.” “Yeah me to Varun.” “I want this to continue for the rest of my life but I know it is not possible. At least we could spend your last week together.” “But…” “It is okay if you are not okay with it. I can understand. No problem Ananya. You can just have my number and call me if you change my mind.” “Sure, give me your number. I will call you if I change my mind.” That night both of them could not sleep. They were just repeatedly thinking about the same day again and again. He was so happy after a long time. Varun’s sister felt happy too due to the change in his behaviour. He was himself after a long time. She thought that his friend was responsible for his change but only known to him that it was Ananya. On the other hand Ananya was thinking about the same day again and again but there was something holding her back, Srinath’s memories. She was unable to get past his memories but she wanted to spend time with him as it was different for her after a long time. They thought about this again and again throughout the night but couldn’t get over it. Time passed by and the next day arrived. Finally she came to a conclusion and called him in the morning and asked him if he was busy. Varun was so happy when he got a call from Ananya. He was ready to go out with her and said that he was going out for the rest of the week with his friend. Though his sister resisted in the beginning. However she managed to send him out as he was so happy after so many days. “Hi, this is Ananya. You are Varun right.” “Yeah. How are you now Ananya? Are you okay right now?” “You free now. Can you come out with me today? I could use your help. It would be easier for you to get out of your bad past memories too.” “Yeah I am free. I could use your help too.” She had it all planned until her last day. She wanted to see every beautiful thing she can experience for one last time in Ooty. She wants to complete her final day at the cliff where they used to go every time when they had to. She told him everything that she had planned for the rest of the week. They talked and talked and talked everywhere they go. They had the best time they had in the last couple of days. She had sixteen places in her mind to visit in Ooty. Though Varun was near Ooty all these years but he did not get to experience any of this before as he has always been an introvert rather Ananya was an extrovert and going out with her gave him the best, different kind of experience he can have in life. First they started off with the Botanical garden at eight in the morning where she gets to see the best of flowers and plants she can see in her life. It was like a true after life experience. The place had like hundreds and hundreds of different varieties of plants. More than the beautiful plants the most important thing was that the experience they had in years. They spent hours viewing the various sections such as Lower garden, new garden, Italian garden, Conservatory, Fountain terrace and Nurseries which had a lot of both indigenous and exotic plants, shrubs, ferns, etc. The climate and beautiful scenery was just awesome. It was the best kind of experience and best walk they could get in years. The place was just beautiful and they both added extra beauty to the place. Though they liked each other but she always had a hesitation due to the memories of Srinath. Though they liked the place but the time she had was very less and so they decided to go on to the next place which was Ooty Lake which was an artificially made lake but still it was so beautiful. The beautiful scenery and the most beautiful lake you would ever get to see with a clear reflection of the trees and the sky. More than just the lakes the place also had small streams flowing down the hills around it brimmed with local shops and people with a rich heritage. They also get to experience the boat ride in the boat house where they got some quality time to talk more about each other. Then they get to have the best lunch in Ooty which Ananya took him. Both of them always dreamt of having the best time together with their loved ones which they get to experience after a lot of hardships. Finally, they get to view the Needle View Hill Point which can calm her soul and make her forget about all the hard ships that she has been going through all this time. The place was just beautiful with the cold breeze of air, sun sets and the three sixty degree view of the surrounding terrain. The place was just beautiful and calm that their past memories came out. Ananya was thinking about Srinath and the memories they had throughout the time. While Varun was seeing her and felt bad for Ananya but did not know how to console her. Though he tried to console her by doing several things but the place just made her think about him again and again. “Hey Ananya, I know what you are going through. But it is not the time to be sad rather it is the time to enjoy your last minutes in this world.” “I know but I cannot forget about Srinath and the memories we had together.” “Yeah. But… I don’t know what to say. I can understand what you are going through. People say everything happens for a reason but in your case it is not happening for a reason. I thought I was having a bad life but it is nothing when compared to the stuff you are going through.” “I know but I can’t forget him. But it was easier for me today with you by my side. Thank you for today Varun. I just want this day to be continued throughout my life but I know that it is not going to happen.” “Actually I had to thank you for this day without you I would have not known about this place and the beautifully unforgettable experience we had.” After watching the sunset together they decided to leave the place as it was the closing time and no one was allowed after the sun set in the mountains. The place was just magnificent with the sun set, the scenery was quite different from other places where one can view the sun rise to sun set. They had the best time together. After the evening they went to her favourite place to have dinner. After that, Varun dropped Ananya in her room and went to his room. Varun’s sister asked him whether we can leave as her leave was over so she needs to go to Coimbatore. But Varun does not want to go so he asked his sister to leave and he would be there in a week. The next day arrived with Varun and Ananya visiting the Nilgiri Mountain Railway which had beautiful sceneries all the way. It was one of the best train rides in the whole of South India. It was just a once in a lifetime experience as it chugs its way through captivating scenery such as captivating landscapes, dense forests and the sparkling river with the sun shining brightly over them. The place was just mesmerizing with sparkling blue waterfalls, steep hills, lush green forests, plunging ravines and beautiful tea plantations. It was the best five hour ride one can get in their lifetime. After the train ride they went to visit the Rose Garden which is one of the most beautiful places in Ooty. It is a true paradise for nature lovers. The place also gives out the true captivating memories of their life so far. Ananya was thinking about the past memories of Srinath and the present memories of Varun. She did not know what to do and was so confused. While Varun was thinking about Ananya and the pain she was going through. He wanted to do something for her but did not know how to do it. They get to see the different varieties of roses, colourful and vast variety of roses. They started talking without realizing about the place. The place took their feelings to the next level. Finally at the end of the day they get to visit the Emerald Lake which was so beautiful with the shining sun set reflecting in the lake. It was mesmerizing to watch. The serene lake with its proper surroundings, green Nilgiri slopes and beautiful tea plantations offers a perfect place to enjoy a leisurely time in the lap of nature and tranquillity. The place had everything in it from flora, birds, animals and nature. The azure blue water of the beautiful lake and the trees around it serving as a home to different kinds of birds. “Hey, Ananya. Thanks for this beautiful journey. It is like the afterlife. This place is just great Ananya that too with you by my side it is just great and beautiful.” “I have to thank you Varun for being with my side through this tough time. It is not me, it’s the place that is magnificent.” They talked and talked and talked until time passed by when the lake was closed. So they decided to go to their respective rooms. But they couldn’t sleep as the memories were so beautiful. They were thinking about their best moments. It was one of the happiest days in their life after a lot of hardships. The next day started from the Kalhatti falls in the morning also known as the Bird Watcher’s paradise. The place had everything beautiful such as the magnificent falls and the lush greenery all around the falls which was truly a breath taking sight. It was one of the best spots to watch some endemic birds and their way of life. The weather there was almost calm and pleasant always with the proper amount of rain. The area was vast to take a walk and recall your best memories from your past. After that they went on to visit the Tiger hill which was located in the lower region of Dodda betta Peak. It was one of the most beautiful vantage points in the entire Ooty. The place was wonderful with flower meadows all around. The ancient cave and the freshwater reservoir were great. They wanted to spend most of the time there but she did not have more time so they had to leave the place soon. Finally they wanted to visit the Wenlock dawns, the vast expanses of green land where one can take the best walk in their life. It was the best place to get away from their sorrows to enjoy the peaceful calmness. The climate there was just pleasant and the temperature was mild with a moist cold breeze. The foggy and misty morning created a romantic mood. It was one of the best places to visit with the green meadows and beautiful sun sets. “This place is just awesome Ananya. I just don’t want this day to end. I want to re-live this moment for the rest of our lives. But I know that it is not going to happen. Still it will always be a never ending dream for me.” “I thought of the same thing too but…” “It’s okay I can understand.” They talked and talked and talked while walking through the dawns. The place was just beautiful which made them forget the reality. Romance took over them both, they hold their hands and went to kiss each other on their lips. The moment was so hard to decide. Right before kissing, Ananya came to her senses with memories of Srinath taking over her. Ananya pushed Varun and they did not know what happened to them both. Right after that moment they came back to their senses. There was silence between them both. Pure silence until the place was closed. Ananya left the place without Varun, though Varun tried to convince her and Ananya too knows that it was her destiny but due to the past memories of Srinath, she felt bad about her and Varun. The distance between them grew over the day until Varun thought and thought and thought about the same exact moments again and again. He finally came to his senses and got an idea from the past memories told by Ananya. He asked her sorry in the most unique way which reminded Ananya of Srinath. She did not know what to say and she forgave him but on a request. The fourth day started with the visit from Dolphin’s nose which was the most beautiful place even the route to reach there was beautiful, serving as a visual treat to the eyes and heart. The place was filled with beautiful scenery like valleys on each side and greenery on each side with a giant rock in the middle. They also got a clear view of the Catherine falls. The place was beautiful and they wanted to spend the whole time there but she did not have enough time so they decided to get to the next place. Though they decided to go to the next place but they stayed at Dolphin’s nose just for some time. The place reminded her of Srinath and she burst into tears. Though Varun wanted to console her he couldn’t so he took her to the next place so that she can control her feeling as the place is the main reason for her ocean of emotions. “Ananya. Please don’t cry. I cannot see you like this. You have to be happy until your last breath Ananya. I know what you are going through but it is time for us to get to the next place.” “Yeah you are right. Let’s go I will be crying if I stay here for a long time. So let’s go. Come on Varun.” The next place they get to visit was Kamraj Sagar Lake, a majestic dam situated in the suburbs of Ooty. There was also a beautiful woodland close by with all kinds of trees to be found. The place was just great with clear fresh waters showing the reflections of the sun, the clouds and the trees like the one from her north Indian trip. This was the place that made her calm and made her be herself for some time. Taking this into account Varun made her spend most of the time at this place. But they had to get to the next place before sunset or the place will be closed so they wanted to get to the next place which was Kotagiri. It was situated just a few hours from Ooty so they decided to drive there before sunset and watch the most beautiful sunset. After watching the sun set they had to stay there for the night and watch the sun rise the next day. They had everything planned for that day. Though it was a long drive when compared to the other places they had to visit in Ooty it was a worthy drive and experience. The place was just mesmerizing. The hill city had the best tea plantation like the one she get to visit in Kerala. Though she wanted to experience the trekking experience but she was not allowed to go there due to her medical conditions. However Varun managed to take her until the half of the trek as she was experiencing a lack of oxygen due to the high altitudes they got down. Varun did not know what to do but he managed to take her back and give her oxygen from her bag. After watching the sun set by driving to the top rather than having a trek. Still it was an awesome experience. On the top it was the best scenic experience she can get to see with a cold breeze of air and a temperature which is either hot or cold. After the sun set they got to a hotel to book a room for a single day. Varun wanted to book two rooms but Ananya asked him to book a single room with two separate beds. “Two rooms please.” “Why two rooms Varun, a single room is enough. No problem just ask for a room with two separate beds.” “But…” “No if’s and but’s. Are you still thinking about what happened in the dawns? Leave it behind and I have to talk about things too as it could be my last day in this world and with you.” “Okay. Then it is your wish to make it a single room please.” They went to the room. Each of them waited outside when the other gets to refresh. After getting refreshed Ananya called him in and they talked for hours. They talked and talked and talked until midnight. Both of them wanted this to continue for the rest of the night but due to the medications and pills she took she could not control her sleep. Though she slept. Varun was unable to sleep. He was looking at her. She was so cute while she was sleeping. He could not get his eyes off of her but he fell asleep too due to the tiredness. They both slept like it was the last day until the alarm went off at 5 in the morning as they had to get to see the sun rise at six in the morning. Varun asked her to get ready while he was waiting outside and planning for the rest of the day. They got ready by six and reached the place by half past six to watch the sun rise. The sun rise was so majestic that it cannot be described by words rather there were drops of tears running down from their eyes. “When there are no words to describe something, the tears take the place.” “This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen after you Ananya.” “Hey don’t lie Varun, I am not that beautiful.” “You may be not beautiful by your face Ananya but you are the most beautiful girl by heart I have ever seen.” She blushed but still there was a small hesitation due to the memories of Srinath. After that they drove all the way to Doddabetta peak to experience a small trek. The trekking was about ten kilometres but due to her medical condition she had to stop it sooner. And they drove all the way to the peak with special permission due to her medical condition and get to see the most beautiful view. Though they reached by noon still the place was at the best temperature, neither cold nor hot. Best place to talk about life and spend the rest of the day… Finally for the last destination of the trip they got to the Avalanche Lake, the most beautiful lake with clear fresh water giving out reflections of the clouds, sun and trees. Even their reflections were great when seen through the lake. The reflections are the only place where one gets to see the most beautiful version of one’s self. The region was full of lovely flowers and lush meadows where they spent the rest of their day walking through them and talking about their life. “People use to talk a lot when there is someone to listen to what one is speaking. We are all just social animals we just need a person to listen to us all our life. That person is our soul mate.” They get to experience the jeep safari for one last time and a boat ride on the lake. The boat ride was as peaceful as there was no one except themselves. It was so calm and it was the best place for someone to open up their feeling. All these things made Ananya think about Srinath again and again. Though Varun was there to console her every time still she was unable to control herself. Finally, they watched the sun set together at the place with its beautiful reflection on the lake. It was just a mesmerizing visual treat to their lives. They went to their rooms but couldn’t sleep as it was her final day. Varun could not sleep too thinking about this again and again so he called her by phone in the middle of the night. When Ananya picked up the call she was not herself so he asked her whether she was okay but Ananya did not tell the truth to Varun. “Hey Ananya are you okay?” “Yes Varun I am okay why did you ask so.” “You are okay… you don’t sound like you are okay. Wait a minute.” A minute later she heard her door being knocked on. She knew that it was Varun so she opened up the door. Varun was standing in the front of the door. Ananya asked him to come in. Varun tried to convince her by saying everything he could. Finally he convinced her to take her pills so that she can have a good sleep. “Hey Ananya you have to get a good sleep right so that we can visit the cliff tomorrow. Your favourite place. How are we supposed to go there if you are not okay with your health? So take the pills now and go to sleep. Please…” “What am I going to do with a single day by taking up the pills? I don’t feel like I want to live anymore knowing that I am going to die anyway.” “What are you talking Ananya? There is no such thing as the last day. You were the one who said that every minute and every second is precious right. So let’s make it a memorable one and you can have a blast before going down.” “But…” “Like you said. Varun tucked her in her bed and sat down in a chair nearby, seeing her eventually falling asleep in the chair. The next Ananya woke up early in the morning but Varun was still sleeping. There was a little sense of hesitation in Ananya so she left him as he was sleeping and went to the cliff. After some time Varun woke up and looked for Ananya but could not find her so he called her again and again. Ananya did not attend his call. Varun was scared of where she was and what if something happens to her. He does not know what to do or whom to call. He thought about the same thing again and again but was unable to find a solution. Finally Varun figured out that she would be at the cliff so he decided to go check there once. Meanwhile Ananya was so scared about dying and so sad feeling about her past memories. She decided to go down as she like, she decided to take her own life by jumping down the cliff but her memories of Srinath gave her a hesitation to do that. She was recalling the past memories again and again. Thinking about how happy she was and all of a sudden her whole life went down. She did not know what to do and how to come over her bitter past. After an hour she decided to jump off the cliff. She went near the cliff with her bag still on. There was no one to save him. Ananya was so down to earth and that is why she had to take this bitter decision. Her mind was filled with thousands of thoughts. She does not know what to do. Finally she decided to jump off. The moment arrived and she went to jump off the cliff and that is when Varun came at the right moment. When he arrived at the place Ananya was literally one step away from her death. Varun did not know what to do and how to save her. His mind worked quickly and fortunately Varun caught Ananya’s bag and pulled her to safety. Varun was so furious and angry on Ananya for taking this kind of decision. “What is wrong with you Ananya? Are you mad or what? Why did you do this? This was the stupidest decision you have ever taken in your life.” “What did you know about me Varun? Do you know what I have been through the last couple of day?” “I can understand Ananya but suicide is not the relief out of your life. He tried to give her some warmth by giving his jacket to her but still she was very cold. Varun was scared to his core. He did not know what to do. He was blank, his mind stopped functioning. After a minute she was completely cold due to hypothermia. Seconds after that she lost consciousness he did not know what to do. He called out for the ambulance through his phone but due to bad weather and altitude there was no signal. He did not know what to do. He was scared that she would die. He took her in his arms and ran to the hospital. Fortunately there was a hospital. Varun admitted her to the hospital and called her parents through her mobile phone by using her finger print.

He could not come to his senses until the doctors came and told him that Ananya was out of danger. “Doctor how is she. Is everything alright?”

  “You are the one who admitted her here right. She was severely affected by hypothermia if it was not for you to admit her at the right time. She would have been gone already. However with life support she just has two more days to live. Do you know about her parents we have to discuss it with them?” “What are you saying doctor? This is why I said that I will come with you. Why did you go alone? What if Varun was not there? They hold their hands tight and looked at the stars and talked about the week they spent together. They took a last photo together and talked. “Thank you for this day Varun. It would have been so hard for me without all these days. They were broken too but Varun was broken more when compared to her parents. So they consoled Varun and the next day her body was taken to her house and her final rights were finished. Ananya told Varun that she was unable to visit Andaman and Lakshadweep islands and it was one of her last wishes that she was not granted. Her parents accepted as it was the final wish of her daughter. Though Varun said that he would manage but her parents insisted him to take the money for travel as there was no one left for them. After a long conversation Varun finally accepted to take up the money and go to the islands with Ananya’s ash. But the ash was not allowed on the flight so he had to take up the hard route which was through the sea through a cruise boat. It took him a whole week to visit those two places but it was nothing when compared to the last wishes of Ananya before her demise. He took her ash to her favourite place which she wanted to visit such as beaches and volcanoes. There was no doubt that the beaches in both the places are just paradise to human eyes. The clear waters and white sand makes them the most beautiful place on earth. But the only regret Varun had was Ananya not being there. Still taking her ash to those places felt like Ananya was with him. Everyone was mocking at him for doing stuff like this but he knew that Ananya was with him throughout the journey. He spent most of the nights at the beaches in the moonlight with Ananya’s ash beside him. It was so magical for him. Everything was great right from the mud volcanoes to limestone caves, treks, rainforests, the waterfalls, natural sand bars and even an active volcano. It was so beautiful. For most of the places he had to sneak in the ash pot of Ananya as it was illegal to do that. But that did not stop him from doing that because everything is fair in love and war. After a week he went to Ananya’s house to meet her parents and give them her ash pot to finish her final rights. He gave the ash pot to her parents. Though there was a hesitation to give it to her parents rather than keeping it. But her parents believed it was essential for her afterlife so he decided to give it. After that he was broken and did not know what to do, he became alone again. Though there was the star of Ananya which he used to look at when he felt lonely but it could be seen in the night. In the morning it was just him and her memories. He started getting into depression again like he used to be before but it was Ananya’s words that saved him from that still she was not there. So he started to write which got him out of depression and got her to life through his words. The book was published and soon became a big hit. It was stated as the best book of the year and won several awards. Ananya’s parents were happy too to see her daughter living through his words. But the awards were not a big deal he just wanted Ananya to be in his memories through his words. He even got a movie offer but he refused. However, the company which was ready to produce his movie found Ananya’s parents and convinced them to ask Varun to make a film about this. They refused the offer in the beginning but thought that it would bring Ananya back to her life. More than just seeing her through the words they get to see her through their eyes. They convinced Varun and eventually he accepted the offer by the company but on one condition that the movie will be directed only by him and as it is in the book. No commercial element will be added and nothing would be changed. The company accepted the offer and after several auditions to find the perfect cast to make the film. The movie started its pre-production and was said to be completed within a year. The movie had to be made at a high budget as the shooting has to be done all over India. Everyone was in a shock as it was a high budget film for a debutant director and everyone thought that he would lose. But he had faith in himself and the producer believed that Varun could do this. Finally, the movie was released on the 19th of May, the day Ananya left this earth. Ananya’s parents and the whole fan following of his book were waiting for the movie. The movie started and Varun was waiting outside to know the result. The role of Varun was done by himself as he was unable to find a relevant one. He was waiting for the result eagerly. He even composed his own music as he could not find the same feeling he felt for her anywhere. After three hours the whole theatre was silent and everyone’s eyes were in tears. The film was over and everyone felt like it was real and appreciated Varun. Ananya’s parents could not believe that it was a film as it was so real. Ananya’s parents thanked Varun for bringing her back to life through this movie. Everyone was astonished as it was the best movie by a debutant actor, music director and director. The movie then became the greatest hits of all time and was dubbed later and was released as Pan India film. After a month it was released worldwide and was recognised as the best film. The movie went on to win several awards for best story, best music, best actor, best director, best art and best editing. It was the biggest sensation of that time. Varun did not give any statement rather he ran to the terrace to look at the star of Ananya and thanked her for bringing the best out of him and making him a successful one. “Thank you so much Ananya. I love you…” he shouted at the terrace seeing the star and stood there with tears rolling out of his eyes. Later he became the best director, actor, writer and music director. He got everything in his life except Ananya. Meanwhile, Ananya was in the afterlife living her life with Srinath on the cliff recreating their last day again and again. “It took you so long to be here Ananya.
