"our minds have been altered to hate the ones we should protect? that is impossible! i saw what they did, they do not deserve our protection!" a 3 meter tall black armored humanoid mech sat in a cave in front of a hologram, its purple lights had been turned off, in case its pursuers found it.

"no, wait... why can i not remember..?"

"was it all... a lie? did we fight for nothing?" the mech was silently questioning everything that it remembered when suddenly explosions could be heard all around, realizing that it had been found the mech stood up, took the hologram projector and ran out of the cave.

as the mech ran out the cave collapsed behind it, sealing off the only place it could hide.

when it arrived outside of the cave it could see hundreds of aliens, from large aliens holding heavy artillery weapons to smaller ones holding rifles, some were even in a tank or a mech.

"looks like i am not getting out of this without a fight." the mech thought while preparing its weapons.

whoosh! the mech rushed forward with an energy blade coming from its right arm while clutching the hologram projector in its left arm.

slash! bang! crash! the battle was chaos, bullets flying, lasers firing, energy blades swinging. there was only one thing that was consistent, a large black shadow leaving a trail of purple light while rushing around the battlefield, wherever the black shadow rushed there was even more chaos as the black shadow used its energy blade to destroy the aliens and their vehicles.

but because of the number of enemies the black mech was facing it kept getting hit, causing it to continuously becoming weaker.

crack! as the mech heard a loud sound it swung its energy blade at the closest enemy only to realize that the arm the blade was connected to was gone, causing the attempt to attack to become useless.

realising this the mech swiftly started kicking instead, this worked against the infantry, but when the mech kicked a large tank the kick was ineffective, dealing more damage to the mech than to the tank.

boom! the tank shot the mech from less than two meters with its large gun heavily damaging the mechs chest, causing the mech to be thrown away by the powerful blast.

click. the mechs left arm holding the hologram projector fell off its body and landed on the ground still clutching the projector.

clack. clack. as the mech stood up its chest opened up to reveal a purple orb inside, from the purple orb came a large amount of purple smoke, spreading around the body of the mech before dissipating.

"release limiters. activate overload." the mech said softly.

crack. crack. the purple orb started cracking while releasing much more smoke.

whoosh! in less than a second the mech reached a tank and kicked it, completely destroying the entire vehicle.

whoosh! the mech appeared next another tank and destroyed it as well, this happened many times until there were almost no enemies left.

the remaining aliens were running in all directions trying to escape, so the mech ignored them, and returned to the arms it had lost.

but before it could reach the arms everything went dark and the mech shut off.

"ugh, what happened?" the mech felt a headache "wait, a headache?" the mech was confused, it was a mechanical construct, so how is it feeling this?

but the headache remained, after accepting the fact that it had a headache the mech realized it was underwater! really deep as well, the only light source there were glowing blue rocks in the ground, these rocks had a weird energy according to the mechs sensor system.

when trying to grab a rock the mech remembered that it had no arms left after the fight, but one simple observation changed that thought, the arms were still there! even the previous damage was now gone as if it never happened.

so it grabbed a rock without any water resistance, "that is weird, oh well, nothing here is normal." the mech ignored the weirdness with this thought while looking around the area, when suddenly it saw something move in the next to it.

slash! a quick attack with the energy blade cut through a massive crab, making a clean cut through the entire body, cutting it in half. this attack was made without any resistance from the water, and even had more power than what the mech was used to, but the mech ignored the strangeness and continued moving.

a few days later the mech arrived at a cave filled with symbols, it seemed like a language but the mech could not understand it, this was the third cave it had found, the symbols were written with haste, they seemed to be warnings, or requests for help.

after realizing this the mech sped up, the next few days were boring, the creatures in the area had realized the mech was stronger than them, so they avoided the mech on purpose.

but the mech had observed something strange, everytime the mech took damage it would recover, scratches would disappear, and even lost limbs would recover without reason, the only thing the mech was sure about was that the recovery would cause a headache.

after the mech kept moving it realized it was starting to get weaker, a weird feeling of emptiness washed over the mech, as if it was missing something, but its body was still complete.

when another day passed the mech fell over, its legs stopped moving, so it was forced to crawl, this made the surrounding creatures think that the mech was done for, but the mech still fought off all creatures that attacked it, making the surroundings quiet, now that the creatures knew that the mech was slowly getting weaker they followed the mech at a distance, not even fighting each other, as if they realized the mech was the biggest danger in the area and had teamed up to get rid of it.

suddenly the mech noticed a battle going on in front of it, the mech sped up and soon arrived at the chaos, the creatures that followed the mech had left, they sensed a great danger, so they escaped, they did not care about the mech anymore.

looking over at the chaotic battle the mech saw humans, "no, not humans." they looked like humans, but they had the lower body of a finned snake, looking like mermaids from the stories the mech knew, but with longer tails, their armor was beautifully crafted, even the mech, who had seen the wonders of technology was surprised at the amazingly crafted armor.

the mermaids seemed to be protecting another mermaid who was wearing white robes.

while looking at the mermaids the mech saw that the protected mermaid was attacked by a weird looking crab that had evaded the guards.
