"Jian ah, will you marry me?" Jian spilled her cup of tea as soon as she heard that sentence left Gu Cheng Feng's mouth.

This crazy lunatic... Jian thought as she clean her spilled tea.

"Pfft - Hey Cheng Feng, have you gone senile? How can you propose just after your engagement with your beloved got cancelled?!" Jian laughed Cheng feng's words as a joke and smack his back.

"I'm serious" Cheng Feng said with a stern and firm tone.

Jian almost believed it had she not known him from the novel's content.

Jian stopped laughing and asked Xu Meng who's currently standing behind her.

"Nah, Xu Meng, do you believe him?" Jian asked facing Xu Meng, Xu Meng who's standing quietly wanted to run away as he thought of why he's getting involved with these two.

"Well, If I'm being honest, Everything he's done so far makes his sentences unbelievable" Jian burst into laughter when she heard Xu Meng's reply.

"Pfft - Hahaha, did you hear that? Hahaha" Jian laughed while holding her stomach, barely holding herself from rolling over the floor.

Cheng Feng's forehead turn into a knot as he frowned, but quickly fades before anyone could even notice and stand up.

"Why won't you believe me?" Cheng Feng muttered under his breath, but Jian could hear it loud and clear just fine and stopped laughing.

Jian crossed her arms and looked straight into Cheng Feng with a snarky look on her face.

"Well who in the whole city do you think don't know of the fact that you, Mr. Gu is crazily, madly, insanely, creepily in love, overprotective and head over heels with miss An Roue?"

Cheng Feng fell silent, he has no way to deny all of those past actions of his at all and seeing him stay silent, Jian fixed herself and crossed legs as she elegantly takes a sip of her tea which is already refilled by Xu Meng.

Cheng Feng suddenly stood up from his seat, making Jian looked up at him in confusion, what is this guy up to now she wondered as she watched him closely.

"Fine, if words don't satisfy, then actions shall do." He said before walking out of the restaurant.

Jian silently watched him, Gu Cheng Feng is acting so strangely today, not, maybe, ever since the day of his engagement's break-up? Nevertheless, She got nothing to do about it, and it's none of her business to interfere with it.

Jian silently finished her cup of tea before leaving with Xu Meng, she still got a pile of works to get over with before taking a rest and getting a rare to obtain day off, she already got plans on her day off and would certainly not waste a second of it!

As Jian happily hums on her way back to her family company, Jian didn't care to think about Cheng Feng's Early proposal at all, making her unprepared for whatever schemes Cheng Feng is planning to do.

ON her way, Jian Ning rode in her car as she drives home after a long day from work.

She wanted to take a long rest before going back to work early in the morning tomorrow, so she'll definitely take her time resting at home.

As she was busy daydreaming about her taking her sweet time resting and relaxing back home, she didn't notice a large truck coming on her way, she was about to turn her car around to save her life, but the car won't seem to do what she wanted it to and just drove faster in a straight line.

"Sh*t! Why won't it do as I want it to?! UGH! QUICK! TURN!" Jian Ning shouted, panicking and frustrated about her car. As she turned back to look, the truck was already a few meters away from her and is ready to crash onto her!

Fortunately, there's still some time left to jump from the car and quickly get the seatbelt off her and immediately jumped off the car and heat her head somewhere hard; probably a rock or the ground.

Just few seconds after jumping off the car, she saw her car bumped onto the truck and how it suddenly exploded before her eyes blur and faint.

Xu Meng was anxiously waiting outside the emergency room.

After hearing that Jiang Jian Ning got into an accident and almost died, Xu Meng couldn't help but worry. To him, Jiang Jian Ning isn't just any boss of his but also like a little sister who could become uncontrollably mischievous and troublesome to handle at times, but she is also someone dear to him that he would always be at her beck and call.

As Xu Meng is waiting at the waiting room, Gu Cheng Feng appeared with a messy appearance, his formal suit was all wrinkled and sweats could be seen all over his forehead making it obvious that he ran from work straight to the hospital in a hurry.

Xu Meng stood up and greet him. "Mr. Gu..." But Cheng Feng interrupted his greeting and asked with a panting voice, clearly tired and exhausted.

"How's Jian Ning? Is she alright?" Although his tired and exhausted tone would be seen vividly, but his worried tone prevails it and asked Xu Meng while anxiously grabbing both his shoulders and looking at him in the eye as his hands shake probably in fear. If Xu Meng hadn't known Gu Cheng Feng for so long, he would've misunderstood his actions for a lover who's anxiously asking for his beloved to be safe.

"Mr. Gu please calm down first and have a seat." Xu Meng remained calm as he faced Cheng Feng and led him to have a seat on one of the unoccupied seats beside the seat he's seating on earlier and get him a glass of water to calm his nerves down.

"Ahem, so how is she? It isn't life-threatening, is it?" Gu Cheng Feng once again asked after calming down and holding the cup of water between his hands.

"For now, I believe it isn't, but I'm not sure yet." Xu Meng sat beside Cheng Feng as he talked.

Cheng Feng looked at Xu Meng who sat beside him, he could see how the guy beside him is currently keeping a calm facade and playing with his fingers, obviously trying to calm himself down. Cheng Feng fell silent, he's not the only one who's currently worried about Jian Ning.

Although Xu Meng may act cold and heartless towards Jian Ning at times, he could tell that he also cares about her the most.

Silence surround the two young men as they wait at the waiting room, soon, they both heard a click from the emergency room and a doctor came out. Both men all came forward towards the doctor and asked for Jian Ning's condition.

"Miss Jiang is safe, she just inhaled too much smoke from the explosion and hopefully, her head was not really damaged but seeing her condition, it might affect her brain, so please be ready." Just as the doctor said that, he left, leaving the two men dumbfounded.

What did he mean by it might affect her brain? Is she going to have a long term amnesia? If worse, is she going into vegetative coma? But to their surprise, it isn't anything like what they imagine. Something much more absurd happened!

Jiang Jian Ning woke up to vividly see two unfamiliar yet familiar young men in the room. One of them has a handsomely made genes with a beautiful brown hair styled in a neat curly quiff wearing a high neck sweaters paired with a brown trench coat and black jeans while the other got a beautifully carved face paired with a black coal like silky hair styled in a neat side swept which goes very well with his formal black suit outfit.

As Jiang Jian Ning carefully admired the two men before her, she heard a fake cough, obviously intended for her.

Jiang Jian Ning who realized what the cough is for embarrassedly lifted her gaze from them and looked around the room where she noticed that almost everything is white, then her gaze fell on herself and noticed that she's wearing a hospital dress. Seeing these, she immediately understood that she's in a hospital.

"What happened? Why am I here?" Jiang Jian Ning asked the people present in the room since it seems that they know her seeing the way they look at her and how one of them is peeling an apple probably intended for her.

"Oh, you finally spoke! I thought you're going to stay silent for the whole day, Miss Jiang" The guy with a brown hair spoke first as he gave her the apple he just finished peeling.

Jiang Jian Ning accepted the apple and saw the man with black hair, wrinkled his forehead as he stares at her.

"W-what?" Jian Ning unconsciously looked away from the man's gaze, with his gaze she bet he's trying to eat kill her!

But seemingly unfortunate for her, her reaction seemed to pull the man closer to her as he approached her with a demeaning aura.

"Mr. Gu!" The man with a brown hair approached and blocked the man in a black suit, seeing this, Jiang Jian Ning felt seemingly relieved until the man opened his mouth.

"Jiang Jian Ning! Did you get drunk for you to not notice a truck coming to crash on your car?! Had you not jumped off, then you think you're still here alive and breathing?!" The man roared, leaving Jian Ning startled, but at some point she can't blame him either, it's her fault that she as careless after all.

Suddenly, Jiang Jian Ning felt foreign. 'Her Fault'? What does it mean? As she thinks, some memories came flashing through her mind and Jiang Jian Ning fell dizzy and holds her temple.

"MISS JIANG!/JIANG JIAN NING!" Both men shouted in unison and came forward to Jiang Ning worriedly.

Xu Meng assisted Jiang Ning to lay in bed to rest, when he made sure that Jiang Ning is already fine, Xu Meng grabbed Gu Cheng Feng to the side and heavily scolded him.

"Mr. Gu! I understand that you are worried, but can't you control yourself?! How does it make sense for you to confront Miss Jiang, a patient and one that just woke up, and interrogate?!" Xu Meng scolded, Gu Cheng Feng didn't say anything and just stayed silent. He knows his mistake.

Seeing Gu Cheng Feng's face stay neutral, Xu Meng wanted to give him an even harder and harsher scolding. Only if his eyes were also saying the same thing as his face, Xu Meng sighed with frustration. He doesn't know what to do with these two.

"Haa... I'm going to buy some groceries, Mr. Gu, If you could, look after miss Jiang with 'care' please" Xu Meng said not forgetting to emphasize the word 'care' and leave.

Gu Cheng Feng, who was left with the sleeping Jiang Jian Ning, just silently stood there staring at her.
